SO IT BEGINS. MISSING PIECES 13.

Let's talk about LOST!    Missing Pieces 13:  So it Begins.

Point of view is from very low to the ground; walking through the jungle grass. {I hear what I think to be more human breathing sounds at first. There are also bird /insect/jungle sounds}
Then the panting sounds of a dog. {I think I see something, before the dog turns left to go toward the suitcase, there is a mass of gray/black straight ahead.}

The dog comes upon an open black suitcase with clothes spilled around it. The dog looks at it. There seems to be a trail of clothes. {For a second then we can hear the sound of machine/engine whizzing, and then the faint sound of woman's scream!}
Someone whistles specifically calling the dog. {You again hear the same exact machine/sound whiz- repeat/loop.}

"Christian" is standing there wearing a dark suit and both white {tennis} shoes.

"Christian"- "Come here. Come on. Come on. {Claps his hands together 2x to get the dogs attention} Come on. Good boy. Come on. Come here. Come here. Good boy. Yes."

{He squats down, holds the dogs, face/head in his hands so he can talk to the dog. The dog licks his face} "Hey. Listen. Yes. I need you to go find my son.  He's over there in that bamboo forest. Unconscious. {"Christian" darts his eyes in the direction he wants the dog to go} I need you to go wake him up. OK? OK. Go on." {The dog seems to say OK. lol}

{He sends the dog on his way}
"Christian"- "He has work to do."

Eye opens. Heavy breathing. Point of view from the ground looking up to the trees. You hear birds/insects/jungle sounds, but no sounds of chaos due to a "crash".   Jack hears something and looks to his left.   A few seconds later the dog comes upon Jack.  The dog runs past him.

GREAT MOBISODE!!! OMG!!!
I was jumping up and down! This Mobisode ROCKED! But I must tell you I was not surprised to see "Christian"!
Yes, we all know there have been times that my research and over analyzing things have been helpful and other times I'm sure certain researched items may not lead to anything… But here, with this being the last Mobisode, I was gonna get everything out of it that I could! I nit picked! So bear with me, Pleeeeeease!.....

Things to note…Questions to ask.

* I wonder if the gray/black mass we see for a second from the dog's p.o.v. is the monster or something or anything at all?   I'm noting it because something caught my eye.   Before the dog turns left to go toward the suitcase there is a mass of gray/black straight ahead. Is it is the monster? Is it Christian or connected to the monster? Or could it be connected to the dog? That's even if what I saw is really there, that is.

I listened to this Mobisode with my "listening device"so I can hear details in the background.  I'm glad I did.
* The machine/engine whizzing sound by "Christian" was a little confusing to me. In that the sound was very distant. As I listened, that sound traveled from one side to the other, as if the sound had movement, like flying over or something.   Although, it also sounded like it was looping. It could just be sounds of the plane parts from the distance.  Could the scream be Shannon's scream? That would suck if I have to go and match up screams.  But we don't see/hear Shannon scream until Jack arrives on the beach in the pilot episode.
But just like in the pilot episode there are no sounds of chaos or "crash" and "screaming" from Jack's perspective, and Jack is fairly close to the beach.
Either way the open suitcase, clothes, dog and Jack were already on the ground. In place!

* Point of view is important here! Perception!!!

* Breathing.

* Christian is both Dark and Light. {clothing/shoes}

* Tennis- The same concept as Ping Pong. The ball gets hit back and forth over and over. Game.

* The dog was happy/comfortable to see "Christian", and "Christian" not surprised to see the dog. So they must know each other.

* "Christian" sends the dog to wake him up. "Christian" is very well aware of the condition of his son. He's not worried that he's hurt because he already knows he's not. He's unconscious/sleeping.

* How many children does "Christian" have?  Why doesn't he care about waking up his pregnant daughter, Claire?

* Point of view from the ground a couple of times, via the '"dog" and Jack.  Maybe it's a clue telling us that they were always on the ground. But what the hell do I know?!

* P.O.V. up to the trees from Jack, again, the trees aren't broken or disturbed.

* Jack woke up before the dog got to him.  The dog ran by him. Was the dog supposed to wake up Jack and Jack just woke up before the dog had a chance?  Or is the dog on his way to wake up someone else?

Vocabulary and Research...

In Chinese culture, the bamboo, plum blossom, orchid, and chrysanthemum (usually, méi lán zhú are collectively referred to as the Four Noble Ones. These 4 plants also represent the 4 seasons and, in Confucian ideology, 4 aspects of the junzi "prince" or "noble one"). The pine tree, the bamboo, and the plum blossom (s--ng zhú méi are also admired for their perseverance under harsh conditions, and are together known as the "3 Friends in Winter". Several Asian cultures, including that of the Andaman Islands, believe that humanity emerged from a bamboo stem.

In psychology and the cognitive sciences, perception is the process of acquiring, interpreting, selecting, and organizing sensory information. It is a task far more complex than was imagined.

The most important thing here is the visual of "Christian" being there, knowing the "dog" and knowing everything that was going on.   This "action" we see is before we're even introduced to Jack.    So, is that enough proof to tell us this was all part of a planned event and "Christian" is privy to all of it?    Or is all we're seeing here one big giant ghost story?
"Christian didn't look like a ghost and the dog wasn't afraid of "Christian".    They we able to make physical contact with each other.  And no, I'm not an expert in the science of Ghost studies.  But let's also remember the casket/coffin Jack found in the caves was empty.  Did he get up and walk out of there?  Shouldn't his body still be in or near the coffin?
"Christian" on the "Island".   Yep!   Can "Christian" morph or transform?   Is he, in any form, real/or something else, where does he go or hide?

I wrote in my notes for Par Avion that Claire was told her father died when she was two.   Well obviously, his wasn't really dead.
This story is filled with people appearing or assumed dead but really are not dead. With that said…If this is really Christian we see here and not a ghost, then as I've stated before the possibility is he wasn't dead at the time of the "crash" and Flashes aren't all reality and are not in time order.   Now, throw a potential connection to the monster here, or this being a "Christian" double, then that changes things yet again.

No matter what I was not surprised to see "Christian" on the "Island".
I guess we'll have to wait and see if we're dealing with the "dead" or a powerful manipulative game playing man who is involved in some global secret or something else all together.

All I can say is, I can't friggin wait until Thursday!!!
ROCK ON! WooooooooooHoooooooooo!!!!

Disclaimer: I never claim to know everything about the show and my thoughts by no means make me right. The things I share here are my views and/or opinions. I don't claim to catch every single detail either! You all know I hate spoilers and I stand clear of reading certain sites as to not take me off my own course of research. The one thing I don't need to do here is rehash all of the obvious clues from an episode, we all know what they are. Understood? Good! Let the fun begin! I'll only note things that I know come up as clues later, but need to be noted when they first show up and things I find that will be of importance! It will get very exciting as we progress into the story.

The Envelope. Missing Pieces 12

Let's talk about LOST! Missing Pieces 12: The Envelope.

{A smoke detector or timer is beeping on the oven.  Juliet runs to the oven, grabs her blue oven mitt and takes out her burned muffins.   She burns her left hand and drops the tray; muffins rolling everywhere. The doorbell rings. She runs her hand underwater.   It's the lady from A Tale of Two Cities; Amelia.

JULIET- "I'm fine. I'm really fine. {Amelia/TOTC gets her ice from the freezer.} I just, I need to clean up before everyone gets here. Thank you."

AMELIA- "It's him, isn't it?"

JULIET- "What? Who?"

AMELIA- "Ben.  Did you invite him today?"

JULIET- "Things have gotten awkward."

AMELIA- "Finally told you how he felt, huh?"

JULIET- "He didn't, he didn't say anything. It's just complicated. Okay?"

AMELIA- "Complicated doesn't make you cry."

JULIET- "I burned my hand."

AMELIA -"That doesn't make you cry either. What happened Julie?"

JULIET- "I think, I think we're in big trouble."

AMELIA- "Are we?"

JULIET- "I need t.., {she's getting choked up} If I show you something, do you promise not to tell anyone? Do you swear? Not anyone."  {Amelia nods her head, "yes".  Juliet goes to a drawer and pulls out a large manila envelope from under the silverware tray. She starts to open it, and the doorbell rings.}

GREAT MOBISODE.

This one raises a lot of questions, not answers.  The reason I say that is because I believe this may be part of a deleted scene.  This is very familiar.  If that's the case, why would Damon and Carlton just toss a deleted scene our way?  If it is just that, then we already know that may be the envelope Juliet carries Ben's x-rays in.  That would answer that question already.  But why would we be given a few minutes on something that we may already know the answer to?
Maybe we needed the clues to ICE and the FREEZER here.   Plus we're getting a bit about how Ben feels about Juliet.
Let's not forget that in the world of LOST things can't be that easy.
Let's put that info aside, for now and dig deeper.

There is NO DOUBT this "Island" is the "Island" of secret keepers.  How can anything get done or accomplished on this "Island" with everyone keeping secrets, telling lies and manipulating everyone and everything.

The Envelope...what is in it? My first thought is Ben's x-ray's or medical records. If it's not, then what? Schematics to something? A treasure map or coupons for a sale on shoes at the Dharma mall? Maybe the envelope's filled with dirty secrets. Whatever is in the envelope Juliet/Julie finds very big and important not only to her but to the other woman as well. Could this info effect the rest of their community? Why would the information that's in that envelope cause them to be in big trouble?

Is it possible that Juliet/Julie going to reveal to this woman that someone on the "Island" got sick? If the residents of the "Island" thought they could never get sick and now someone is, what kind of chaos would that cause?
If this is in proper continuity of A Tale of Two Cities, Juliet wouldn't or should I say shouldn't know about the arrival of 815.  Maybe she does know of it's "arrival" and who's on it?   If so, maybe she knows there's a pregnant woman or a spinal surgeon on board.
Could this envelope contain info about their fertility/DNA studies?  Maybe Julie/Juliet is pregnant.

Questions, Questions and MORE Questions!
Juliet/Julie's relationship with Ben: What kind of relationship? We know at one point Juliet was sleeping with Goodwin.  Maybe Ben had Goodwin removed from the playing field because he wants Juliet? LOL!!! Boys will be boys.

This woman calls her Julie! Is this Juliet or Julie? Why would the writers give us two minutes of dialog and be sure to call Juliet, Julie, unless we needed to hear that?  With that said, why a different name? Here we go again…Is this person we see a twin, a different identity, a different time on the "Island"? A different "Island"?   Or maybe she's a friggin bot/robot.  But an awesome one like the T-1000 in terminator. That robot can morph because it's made of liquid metal. Weeeeee!
OK, I just re-watched the Terminator movies. Hehehe.

Back to the matter at hand: Why a different version?
Note: Underwater and silver.
Amelia- 'Ear-hardt'?... "Hear"
Books/Club.

Vocabulary and Research...
* The manila envelope is designed to contain documents and paperwork.  The manila component of the name comes from manila hemp or abaca, from which manila folders were originally made. This is the origin of the name. Manila hemp is a type of fiber that comes from a relative of the banana plant. Commonly used for ropes, paper products, and coarse fabrics. Manila hemp is indigenous to the Philippines and gets its name from the country's capital.
- an envelope is the limits within which an aircraft or electronic system can operate safely.
- something that envelops; a wrapper, integument, or surrounding cover.
* in Radio(of a modulated carrier wave):  a curve connecting the peaks of a graph of the instantaneous value of the electric or magnetic component of the carrier wave as a function of time.
* in Geometry: a curve or surface tangent to each member of a set of curves or surfaces.
* in Biology: an enclosing structure or cover, such as a membrane or the outer coat of a virus.
* in Electronics: the airtight glass or metal housing of a vacuum tube.
- The fabric structure enclosing the gasbag of an aerostat. Free Balloons, Airships, Moored Balloons. The gasbag itself.
- A building envelope is the separation between the interior and the exterior environments of a building. It serves as the outer shell to protect the indoor environment as well as to facilitate its climate control.
*The two envelopes problem is a puzzle or paradox within the subjectivistic interpretation of probability theory.
* The pincer movement or double envelopment is a basic element of military strategy which has been used, to some extent, in nearly every war.

What is being protected/kept secret in an envelope? Is it just a metaphor?
No matter what, pay attention to smoke detectors.

JIN HAS A TEMPER TANTRUM ON THE GOLF COURSE. MISSING PIECES 11.

Let's talk about LOST!  Missing Pieces 11: Jin Has a Temper Tantrum on the Golf Course.

{Jin, Hurley, and Michael are playing golf. Jin is putting; wearing one handcuff.}

Hurley- "All right Jin, you sink this putt, you win."

Michael- "He can't understand you."

Hurley- "He can feel me, dude. He can feel me."

{Jin misses the shot}

Michael- "Yes!"

Hurley to Michael- "Congratulations, dude. {To Jin} It's all right, Jin. you'll get him next time."

{Jin has one hell of a temper tantrum. Yelling in Korean pacing around}

Jin- " No. Why? Why can't I hit the ball in the hole?"

Michael- "Hey it's okay man, it's only a game."

Jin- "Shut up! Don't pity me!  All I wanted was one thing to go right!"

Hurley- "You can't…"

Jin- "Do you want to say something? You don't talk for once. You don't talk! How can I lose to both Hurley and Michael?"

Hurley- "I think I heard our names in there somewhere."

Jin {Starts yelling to the sky!} - "I hate this horrible island. Why doesn't anybody understand me? All I wanted was one moment of happiness!  Why? Why can't I be happy? Who invented this crazy game? No! You horrible ball! Why?"

Michael- "Maybe we should do something?"

Jin- "Please take this handcuff off! I'm going crazy."

Jin- "You don't care about me, do you? Don't look at me with pity in your eyes. I've beaten men for lesser offenses!"

{Hurley says to Michael who's walking toward Jin} - "Eh, don't touch him. Let him get it out."

Jin- "No! You horrible ball! Why couldn't you go in the hole? You horrible ball! Why? Why? Why?"

Hurley- "Maybe we should take a break from golf for a while."

Jin sits down and cries- "I'm so alone. I'm so alone."

{Michael picks up the golf bag; he and Hurley walk away.}

GREAT MOBISODE!!!!!

Let's break it down.

* Golf- Scottish- Desmond. Gentlemen's game.
* Communication is the name of the game here.
* "He can't understand you" says Michael, but Hurley {I can't help but see him try to do a Jedi move on him to get the ball to go in} tells Michael "He can feel me." WOW! That's FRIGGIN' important!
* "Why doesn't anybody understand me?"   I think that they can understand each other. At least I've gotten hints to them in other circumstances understanding each other.
* "I'm so alone"- Jin is not alone. None of them are alone. But here, with Jin saying this line with so much hurt in his voice, I wonder if he is without Sun. But wait…
* Clues to sink, below, sub, etc… What are they trying to tell us IS under something?! Are they below something? Is the "Island" under something? Are we seeing a hint to something with the golf ball going in the hole? Was something supposed to go in a hole but missed? Or is this another clue to "down" in a hole; a rabbit hole?!!!  Who or what is in a hole?   Damn it! TELL ME ALREADY!!!!
* I find this part VERY important...When Jin is yelling to the sky, it's almost as if he knows someone is up there watching and he wants them to hear him! Are they under or below somewhere? It's bizarre.
* They are all in a "game".    Is Jin aware of that?  He wants to know who invented this game!  That line brings me again to, who is orchestrating the "game" on the "Island"?
* Jin wants his cuff removed. He wants his ties removed; to be happy and free.
* Even though Jin's temper tantrum is happening with the golf game, it's not only about the game.

These Mobisodes are amazing. I understand that they are missing pieces to the puzzle, but I can't help but notice there is a different "feel" to what we are seeing.   Most of the Mobisodes have me questioning tons of things.
One question I ask with a few of these is, are we're seeing a different time on the "Island"?
Another other question is, hold on because I'm going to say it…Are we seeing a twins or really two version of things?
I was told Matthew Fox was credited with being in this episode. WTF?!  Where?  Is it about Jack?
Also this episode was released in a clear version to the public on the day it goes out to Verizon subscribers. Why would that be? A clue perhaps?
The creative team over at LOST doesn't do ANYTHING without cause or purpose.
They know we're out here analyzing every movement, so why say something about Matthew Fox, and why the clarity to the rest of us who don't subscribe to Verizon.

Vocabulary and Research...
* Temperare (to mix correctly) is the Latin origin of words like "temperature" and "tempering"; it and come, in turn, from tempus (time or season). Thus, the word "temper" can refer (at least informally) to any time. Or, temperature-sensitive process (as for chocolate tempering or tempered glass), a material's thermo-mechanical history (including cold work and cryogenic hardening), or even its composition.
* Temper (plural tempers) A tendency to anger or lose patience easily.
OR- The heat treatment to which a metal or other material has been subjected- a material that has undergone a particular heat treatment.
- To mix clay, plaster or mortar with water to obtain the proper consistency.
- To moderate or control.
* A tantrum is an emotional outburst wherein the higher brain functions are unable to stop the emotional expression of the lower (emotional and physical) brain functions. Usually tantrums are seen in children of the ages of 2-6 but sometimes 7-9; this is a very clear case of emotional disinhibition caused by immature forebrain development.
Drugs can also cause the higher brain functions not to control the lower functions of the brain due to increased agitation.
* GOLF- The first game of golf for which records survive was played in Scotland, in A.D. 1456, recorded in the archives of the Edinburgh Burgess Golfing Society. Golf is a very old game of which the exact origins are unclear. The origin of golf is open to debate as to being Chinese, Dutch or Scottish. However, the most accepted golf history theory is that this sport originated from Scotland in the 1100s.
The word golf is often claimed that the word originated as an acronym for "gentlemen only, ladies forbidden".
Golf balls are famous for "dimples".
A course consists of a series of holes, each consisting of a teeing area, fairway, rough and other hazards, and the green with the pin and cup.
A hole is classified by its par, the number of strokes a skilled golfer should require to complete play to the hole.
The word golf was first mentioned in writing in 1457 on a Scottish statue on forbidden games as gouf, possibly derived from the Scots word goulf meaning "to strike or cuff".
Golf Scoring:
Condor or Vulture (or triple-eagle), Albatross (or double-eagle), Eagle, Birdie, Par, Bogey, Double bogey, Triple bogey.
Golf has many rules and regulations, uses a handicap system, different types of shots, different types of clubs.
* A Condor, vulture or eagle I believe was the bird in the cartoon Jack was made to watch in his glass cell.

Just for laughs, and I mean just for laughs, because….
* FOX- is a member of the dog family. They are smaller in size.
- Huli jing Chinese: Pinyin: húli j--ng; huli means fox, and jing means spirit) in Chines mythology are fox spirits that are akin to European faeries or to the Japanese kitsune Huli jing can be either good spirits or bad spirits. In Chinese mythology, it is believed that all things are capable of acquiring human forms, magical powers, and immortality, provided that they receive sufficient energy, in such forms as human breath or essence from the moon and the sun.

I am guilty of reading too much into this one, but we are supposed to get something out of all of them. This is not only about Jin having a temper tantrum at the golf course.  For me, I get that we're supposed to wonder why mis-understood Jin is yelling to "someone" above him and his claims of being alone.
And I can't help but feel hints to another time on the "Island", an invented game, two sides to a person, or better yet, two versions of these people/go around.  Yes. I said it again.  Could it be that we see two "people" who look exactly alike but are very different or two versions of things?  Clues to something "below", what could it be?!!  Hmmm?!
Either way I have confused myself to the point of a dizzy spell!

JACK MEET ETHAN. ETHAN? MISSING PIECES 10.

Let's talk about LOST! Missing Pieces 10: Jack Meet Ethan?

{Jack is going through suitcases. Black and White garments. His back is to us. Jack's hair is longer that the original time period. Ethan walks up; wearing his Wisconsin sweatshirt}

ETHAN- "You're the Doctor, right?
JACK-  "Yeah... That's me."
ETHAN- "Well, I heard you were rounding up the medicine, so I figured... you might want this."
{He shows Jack a suitcase filled with meds. Note that there are medicine bottles there that must have already been gathered.}
JACK- "Whew."
ETHAN- "HAHAHA. Jackpot, right?  Guy must've been a hypochondriac or something."
JACK- "Where'd you find this?"
ETHAN- "In the jungle. I'm Ethan, by the way"
{They shake hands.}
JACK- "Jack."
ETHAN- "Thank you, Jack."
JACK- "For what?"
ETHAN- "Getting all this together, having a little perspective, you know, thinking long term. Most of the others still think we're going to get rescued any time now."
JACK- "And you think I don't?"
ETHAN- "No, I think you're smart. And I think you're looking at that girl, {We see pregnant Claire} knowing you might actually have to deliver that baby here. I know that's what I'm thinking."
JACK- "Well, it's nice to know I'm not alone."
ETHAN- {Laughs} "You're definitely not alone."
JACK- "If she does go into labor, at least I know I've got an assistant. {Ethan looks at him and looks away.} I'm sorry, I didn't mean ta..."
ETHAN- "It's all right, don't worry about it.  Anyway, I'm glad the meds help."
JACK- "Yeah. Thank you."
ETHAN- "You're welcome."
{Ethan gets up to leave.}
ETHAN- "Jack, um, my wife died in childbirth.  And our, uh, our baby didn't make it either. {Jack just looks at him not saying anything.} Well, let's hope we're both wrong and the rescue boats are on their way right now."
JACK- " Let's hope."
{Jack watches Ethan walk away.}

Great Mobisode!

My first note to paper was the title!!!
* How convenient is it that Ethan, an "Other" finds a suitcase filled with all kinds of meds? WOW!! Yeah, No fucking coincidence!  The Other's way of getting "drugs" to the camp perhaps?!  Are they hoping there will be Losties who "need" it?   HA!  I wonder what those meds really contain?!
* Ethan's comment about "The guy must have been a hypochondriac or something." Is Ethan already privy to Sullivan?
* Ethan commends Jack on organizing things at the camp; getting people to pull together so they can "live together".    Ethan knows there will be "no" rescue.     Does Jack also know that fact somewhere deep in his memory or subconscious?   No rescue means they have to live together on the "Island". Of course there will be no rescue. They are all already home...They are where their supposed to be.
* Jack is not ALONE!  They are all in it together.
* Ethan knows the baby will be delivered on the "Island" and Jack's thinking the same thing. Jack assumes Ethan will help deliver Claire's baby.   Does Jack know Ethan is a doctor?   Does Jack remember something? Could Ethan be Jack's assistant in some way?
* Kate ultimately delivers the baby.
* Ethan sharing his bit about losing his wife and child in childbirth, is that true?   If it is, when did that happen? Months ago? Years ago? 100 years ago? Never? Maybe he still has a wife and she's there.

So, Ethan's job was to mix in with the survivors, make lists for Ben and it appears to me, to be sure this case of meds/drugs gets into the camp and into the Losties.  Mission complete!  Or is it?...
Could this be from another time?

Words of the day...
Perspective, in the context of vision and visual perception, is the way in which objects appear to the eye based on their spatial attributes, or their dimensions and the position of the eye relative to the objects.

Forced perspective can used to deliberately misrepresent an object's size, making something appear larger or smaller than it really is. These are forms of optical illusions.
A vanishing point is a point in a perspective drawing to which parallel lines appear to converge.

Aerial perspective or atmospheric perspective is the effect on the appearance of an object by the atmosphere between it and a viewer (or the technique of depicting this effect in a work of art, such as a landscape painting). As the distance between an object and a viewer increases, the contrast between the object and its background decreases.

Perspective in theory of cognition is the choice of a context or a reference (or the result of this choice) from which to sense, categorize, measure, or codify experience, cohesively forming a coherent belief, typically for comparing with another. One may further recognize a number of subtly distinctive meanings, close to those of paradigm, point of view, reality tunnel, umwelt, or weltanschauung.
 To choose a perspective is to choose a value system and, unavoidably, an associated belief system. When we look at a human perspective, it is a more social value system and its associated beliefs.

Perspective in pharmacoeconomics refers to the economic vantage point that is being taken in a pharmacoeconomics. 5 general perspectives that are often cited in pharmacoeconomics include: institutional, third party, patient, governmental and societal.

In geometry, two triangles are perspective (or homologic) if, when the sides of each triangle are extended, they meet in three collinear points. The line which goes through the three points is known as the perspectrix. The triangles are said to be perspective from the line.

* The origin of the word jackpot comes from a version of draw poker where a pair of jacks or better are needed to open the "pot" to start betting.
- Jackpot is the name of an Autobot character from the Transformers universe.
- Jackpot is a fictional comic book character owned by Marvel Comics. Jackpot's first appearance was in the Free Comic Book Day Spider-Man Special. This is a female character.
- Jackpot may also refer to: A prize in a game of chance, often one that increases over time, as in progressive jackpots.
* Wisconsin. A state in the United States. It's name may come from an ancient Ojibwe word, Miskwasiniing, meaning "Red-stone place," and was recorded as Ouisconsin by the French. Wisconsin's economy was originally based on farming (especially dairy), mining and lumbering.

TROPICAL DEPRESSION. MISSING PIECES 9.

Let's talk about LOST! Missing Pieces 9: Tropical Depression.

{Arzt is chasing a bug with a jar. He is wearing his neckerchief type thingy around his neck.}

ARZT-"I have my eyes on you. You have your eyes on me ... HA!" {He bends down and traps a bug in a glass jar} "HaHaHa!"

{Michael approaches. He has a backpack}

MICHAEL-"Doctor Arzt! Yo! Doctor Arzt! Hey. What's the weather going to be like for tomorrow?"

ARZT-"Uh, tomorrow, ummm ... I don't know"

MICHAEL- "What?"

ARZT- " I'm not a meteorologist. I'm just a high school science teacher.  All that stuff I said about monsoon season, I made it up."

MICHAEL- "What do you mean you made it up?"  {Michael wants to get up, but reluctantly stays to hear Arzt's story}

ARZT-"I fell in love with a woman from Australia. I met her on the Internet.  We chatted with each other for about a year.  I saved all my and I flew down to Sydney. I shouldn't have used my buddy Nick's picture okay, I admit that. I said that. I said that I was sorry. I thought we were beyond that, so it made no difference. That we were really connected."

MICHAEL- "Mmm" {Michael being polite}

ARZT- "So I get to Sydney, and I see her and she looks so beautiful.  I took her out to the nicest restaurant I could find.  We order the lobster. Then she friggen disappeared.   Never came back to the table. They wouldn't even let me give the lobster back! {Michael wants to get up and leave, but Arzt continues his story and Michael stays}

ARZT- "That's not the worst part. Not the worst part. The worst part is, I could have just hung out. Sydney. Doin the bar scene? You know what I did? I booked an early flight out. Oceanic flight 815."

MICHAEL- "You know what? I- I would really love to feel sorry for you and all. But you know, take a look around. Everybody on this beach has got a story just like yours. Do you think any of us wanna to be here?"

ARZT- "I know nobody does. I'm really sorry that I lied about the weather."

MICHAEL- "It's okay. The raft is finished.  We're getting out of here. We're going to bring back help."

ARZT- "You are! I know you are! I know you are! And I am going to be the first one on the beach waving 'hello' when you get there."

MICHAEL- " Okay, man, take care." {Michael walks away}.

GREAT MOBISODE!
* I thought Arzt was frickin' married!!
* Arzt saying he lied... Did he? Or does he play games like the Others; speaking Bull Shit, but somewhere in there is the truth?  Was Arzt's role to have the raft depart when it was supposed to?
* Everybody on the "Island" does indeed have a similar story. The how and why they are "connected" to the "Island".
* "No Worries" is a term familiar with people who live in the Islands. Island life.
* When Arzt says, "And I am going to be the first one on the beach waving 'hello' when you get there." Go back and re-read that line! Is Arzt going to be at another/different beach waving at Michael????
* Could the word depression be giving us a clue, a tie if you will, to Santa Rosa? Or a clue to something being below/sunken, etc.
* I'm sure we'll need to find out the importance of "jars".

Let's explore! Let's learn. Weeeeeeeee!!
Living in Florida and having lived through a few major hurricanes, I can tell you this...A tropical depression is a system that develops an eye in the center.  The depression can grow into a much greater storm. The eye develops due to the low atmospheric pressure.  If the system grows, the eye remaining in the center, and the system swirling around it, you get a 'cone' effect. There's another clue I think will come into play, "Cone".
The storm is in full force all around the eye, leaving the eye clear of clouds, rain, thunder, major winds, etc.
Tropical depressions that progress into a GREAT storm are known as Hurricanes here on the east coast. Other parts of the world call them Typhoons, Cyclones, Monsoons. There are also time of the year factors that contribute to the forming of such storms.

Arzt uses the word monsoon. The English name Monsoon, was derived from the Arabic word mausim meaning seasons.
* Depression in geology is a land form sunken or depressed below the surrounding area. Depressions may be formed by various mechanisms, and may be referred to by a variety of technical terms. An impact crater is a depression created by an impact such as a meteorite crater. * Depression in physiology and medicine refers to a lowering, in particular a reduction in a particular biological variable or the function of an organ. It is in contrast to elevation.
* Depression of the central nervous system of an animal may be expressed as drowsiness or sleep, lack of coordination and unconsciousness.
* Bug: Hemiptera is an order of insects, comprising around 80,000 species of cicadas, aphids, plant hoppers, shied bugs, and others.
* BUG: A covert listening device, more commonly known as a bug, is usually a combination of a mini radio transmitter with a microphone. The use of bugs, is a common technique in espionage.
* The Volkswagen Type 1, more commonly known as the Beetle, is an economy car produced by the German auto maker Volkswagen from 1938 until 2003.
* A bug in poker is a limited form of wild card.
* A computer BUG.
* A pathogen (Greek pathos (suffering/emotion) and gene (to give birth to)) or infectious agent is a biological agent that causes disease or illness to its host.
* The Arachnids (known as Bugs) are a fictional alien race from the movie Starship Troopers. Note that the bugs in the movie differ considerably from those in the novel on which it is based.
* The butterfly effect is a phrase that encapsulates the more technical notion of sensitive dependence on initial conditions in chaos theory. Small variations of the initial condition of a nonlinear dynamical system may produce large variations in the long term behavior of the system. So this is sometimes presented as esoteric behavior, but can be exhibited by very simple systems. The phrase refers to the idea that a butterfly's wings might create tiny changes in the atmosphere that ultimately cause a tornado to appear (or prevent a tornado from appearing). The flapping wing represents a small change in the initial condition of the system, which causes a chain of events leading to large-scale phenomena. Had the butterfly not flapped its wings, the trajectory of the system might have been vastly different.

You're wondering why I gave a description of the butterfly effect here with this Mobisode. I know it must seem really out of context, but you all know I never let go of a clue unless it is proved it does not pertain to our story. So this clue word stays….for now.

Eye of the storm and cone of the storm. Tropical storm...is it only telling us about Arzt's inability to predict the weather?  Maybe this Mobisode could possibly be showing us that there is an event about to happen that will cause changes in other events on the "Island".
A storm is coming, indeed!

Disclaimer: I never claim to know everything about the show and my thoughts by no means make me right! The things I share here are my views and/or opinions. I don't claim to catch every single detail either! You all know I hate spoilers! And I stand clear of reading certain sites as to not take me off my own course of research.

BURIED SECRETS. MISSING PIECES 8.

LET'S TALK ABOUT LOST! Missing Pieces  8. Buried Secrets.

{Jin is with a fishing pole. Sun is watching him from the jungle greens.  She heads into the jungle where she stops to look at a California driver's license and starts to dig a hole to bury it; first with a stick and then with her hands. Michael comes running by looking for Vincent.}

NOTE: Sun is wearing a dark hooded sweater.

MICHAEL- "Vincent! Vincent! Oh, hey I'm sorry. I was looking for Vincent. I didn't mean to scare you. You okay?" { He sees that she's upset.}

SUN- "Yes, I'm, I'm fine. I just, I just needed a moment by myself."

MICHAEL- "Hey, you sure you're okay?  {Sun looks down. So Michael looks down too. He sees her license on the ground and picks it up.}

SUN-{crying} "I was, this is... "

MICHAEL- "No, no, no, you don't have to explain." {He hands the license to her. She takes it with both hands.}

SUN- "I was going to leave him. I was going to leave Jin, and start a new life in America. But I changed my mind at the airport because I was afraid."

MICHAEL- "Hey, hey, it's, it's, it's okay. {He holds her hands.} We're getting off this island any day now. Things will change."

SUN- "No. It's too late. This place. It's my punishment. It's my destiny."

MICHAEL- "No... Maybe you should talk to him."

SUN- "He's not the man I fell in love with." {Michael tenderly hugs her.}

MICHAEL- "Maybe he just needs a little time. It's been hard on all of us. It's okay. It'll be okay."

{They pull away from each other then stare at each other. Michael's hand touches her hair and face. They lean in to kiss, but before they do, Vincent comes up and barks, interrupting them and they back away.}

SUN- "I must go. I'm sorry." {Sun runs away.}

MICHAEL- "Uh... {Watches her leave.} Come here, Vincent. Come on." {Vincent has a collar on.}

Great Mobisode! Here's just a few things to note.
* Where in the puzzle exactly does this piece fit???   What time frame is this from?
* How friggin long have I been saying that there is some sort of connection between Sun and Michael? Come on! Go back to my notes from season 1 and 2. Why these two people?
* Vincent! The damn dog is always at the right place at the right time! Where does he go when he's gone? Hmmm? What else can this super dog do? Morph?! He is Amazing! Woof, Woof!! That's all I'm sayin!!!
* Sun is wearing a dark hooded sweater.
* Clue to New I.D.!   We usually see clues to NO I.D..   We do see changes in Castaway's I.D.'s through the episodes.  Some shows us different versions of their names, date of birth, hair styles, eye color, etc.. So, who are these people, REALLY?
* Can Sun really drive a car? I'm just wondering. LOL
* Both Jin and Sun have said they feel that they are being punished and that's why they are on the "Island".
* Jin tells Jae to start a new life.
* Sun and Locke feel the "Island" is their destiny.
* "He is not the man..." That's SO important!  People changing.
* Sun and a connection to yet another man. Why?
* It is time to start addressing TIME! Time on the "Island"... Is time different there? Does time run faster or slower there? Maybe there is NO concept of time at all there.  Is this "Island" exempt from "TIME"?

Vocabulary and Research...
* To license or grant license is to give permission. License is the document demonstrating that permission.
* Vincent is a forename derived from the Latin "Vincentius" related to the word "vincens",winning ", "conquering", or "seductive"

Now I must reveal how big of a nerd I really am! My Geekness will truly show through! The following is a very short lesson in "TIME".
There are two distinct views on the meaning of the word time.
One view is that time is part of the fundamental structure of the universe, a dimension in which events occur in sequence, and time itself is something that can be measured. This is the realist's view, to which Sir Isaac Newton subscribed.
An opposing view is that time is part of the fundamental human intellectual structure (together with space and number) within which we sequence events, quantify the duration of events and the intervals between them, and compare the motions of objects. In this second view, time does not refer to any kind of entity that "flows", that objects "move through", or that is a "container" for events. Time, rather than being an objective thing to be measured, is part of the measuring system used by humans.
The origins of the current measurement system go back to the Sumerian civilization of approximately 2000 BC. This is known as the sexagesimal system based on the number 60. 60 seconds in a minute, 60 minutes in an hour – and possibly a calendar with 360 (60x6) days in a year (with a few more days added on). Twelve also features prominently, with roughly 12 hours of day and 12 of night, and 12 months in a year.
Another form of time measurement consists of studying the past. Events in the past can be ordered in a sequence (creating a chronology), and be put into chronological groups (periodization).

Incan, Mayan, Hopi, and other Native American Tribes, plus the Babylonian, Ancient Greek, Hindu, Buddhist, Jainist, and others have a concept of a wheel of time, that regards time as cyclical and quantic consisting of repeating ages that happen to every being of the Universe between birth and extinction.

Spacetime: Modern physics views the curvature of spacetime around an object as much a feature of that object as are its mass and volume. Time has historically been closely related with space, the two together comprising spacetime in Einstein's special relativity and general relativity. According to these theories, the concept of time depends on the spatial reference frame of the observer(s), and the human perception as well as the measurement by instruments such as clocks are different for observers in relative motion. Even the temporal order of events can change, but the past and future are defined by the backward and forward light cones. which never change. The past is the set of events that can send light signals to the observer, the future the events to which s/he can send light signals. All else is the present and within that set of events the very time-order differs for different observers.

Arrow of Time:  Time appears to have a direction – the past lies behind, fixed and incommutable, while the future lies ahead and is not necessarily fixed. Yet the majority of the laws of physics don't provide this arrow of time. The exceptions include the Second law of thermodynamics, which states that entropy must increase over time, the cosmological arrow of time, which points away from the Big Bang, and the radiative arrow of time, caused by light, only traveling forwards in time. In particle physics, there is also the weak arrow of time, from CPT symmetry, and also measurement in quantum mechanics

Time quanta is a hypothetical concept. In the modern quantum theory (the Standard Model of particle physics) and in general relativity time is not quantized. Time travel is the concept of moving backward or forward to different points in time, in a manner analogous to moving through space. Additionally, some interpretations of time travel take the form of travel between parallel realities or universes. A central problem with time travel is that of logic – say, violation of causality (when effect precedes the cause it is the consequence of) – which has given rise to a number of paradoxes (see grandfather paradox)Stephen Hawking in particular has address ed a connection between time and the Big Bang. Hawking, in A Brief History of Time and elsewhere, along with several other modern physicists, has stated that even if time did not begin with the Big Bang and there were another time frame before the Big Bang, no information from events then would be accessible to us, and nothing that happened then would have any effect upon the present time-frame.

WOW!!! Buried Secrets. Time is man-made.  Only humans are slave to time, i.e. clocks and calendars etc.. What the hell is the deal with "time" on the "Island"?   Do the people of the "Island" believe as the ancient cultures did about "time"?
Are they in a LOOP? Yep.
Would they ever be able to escape this loop?  Could "time travel" be possible? Did someone find a way to "time travel" to the "Island".    If so, can events be changed?    Is time travel even part of the story? In reality if time travel were really possible then it would have always been possible.

So...We can talk about time/travel, but is that really what's going on here? I think things we are seeing aren't really what's going on!

Be careful...Could we being mis-led?! Remember, Illusion, Tricks and Manipulation!
What other secrets are buried on the "Island"?  We know that secrets don't stay buried forever.

ARZT AND CRAFTS. MISSING PIECES 7.

Let's talk about LOST!  Missing Pieces 7:  Arzt and Crafts.

{Jin and Sun are sitting on the beach looking through clothes. Jin picks up a New York team jersey of some sort. They are speaking Korean.}
JIN- {Getting Sun's attention} "I think they are lovers."
SUN- "They're not"
JIN- "He looks at her like they are."
SUN- "Boone and Shannon are brother and sister."
JIN- "How do you know? Do they speak Korean?"
SUN- "It was just a guess."
{Dr. Leslie Arzt comes running up to them.}
ARZT- "What's all this about moving from the beaches, huh, going to the caves? Are you guys going, to the caves?"
HURLEY- {sitting a few feet away with Michael. By a fire} "They don't speak English, dude."
{Michael and Sun share a look}.
ARZT- {Speaking to Hurley and Michael} "Oh. How about- are you going?"
MICHAEL- "I don't know what you're talking about, man."
ARZT- "I'm talking about the caves. Are you going to go to the caves? Jack and that bald guy, and uh, what's-her-face, they found some caves, and they think that actually we should move from the beaches to the caves."
HURLEY- "So, why shouldn't we?"
ARZT- "Why, sh… OK , 'A'- number one, moisture. Caves are abundant with moisture. Moisture breeds bacteria, and attracts insects that would lay eggs in our mouths while we sleep. All right.!"
{Arzt turns to communicate loudly and slowly with Sun and Jin} "Hey, hey, hey. I know that you don't understand me, but if there is a vote to go to the caves, you two, you vote no! Got it? No!"
MICHAEL- "Hey, shouting at them is not going to make them understand any more"
HURLEY- "Hey, if Jack says it's a good idea, maybe we should, like, trust him."
ARZT- "Why? You tell me. Because he's a doctor? Is that what qualifies him for leadership here? How do we know he's not a nut case? I want to tell you something. {crouching down and speaking quietly to Hurley and Michael} The other day I'm in the jungle, and I'm taking a leak, and Jack runs through the jungle, crying for his Daddy. {Raises his voice so everyone can hear} OK, fine, fine, you morons, you want to go to the caves, good riddance. I'm going to stay right here on the beach with all the people who want to survive. {WE HEAR THE MONSTER SOUNDS. They all look around, but no one panics.} I'll uh, I'll see you guys at the caves." {Arzt heads off.}

GREAT MOBISODE! I LOVED IT!

Thank you Doctor Arzt! He may have tackled a lot for us.

* First. Arzt means Doctor or physician in German.
* His name= Doctor, Doctor. Hmmm….
* Jin picks up a shirt referencing New York. North. Team.
* If 'said' NY jersey is a team "like" the Yankees, that would be the rival team to the Boston Red Sox. But I need to get a clearer view of the shirt.  The NY looks like the Yankees, although the word under it I can't make out.   So this idea may have to go out the window! LOL
* Team. Game.
* 'A'
* Michael and Sun always share these "I know" moments!
* The whole damn language thing. That keeps coming back around, doesn't it? Understanding other languages. LINGUISTICS.
* Will we see Boone and Shannon again or Arzt for that matter?
* Who is related? Biology.
* Is Arzt a real Doctor? What is trying to tell us here?
* There is an obvious mention of Jack's Daddy.
* The Monster. Is it a monster? Are the sounds tied to something else? The sounds are very mechanical combined with a 'howl' of some sort. Could this monster have anything to do with caves, Black Rock, coal, carbon, morphing/transforming?
* CAVES: Bears hibernate in caves. They sleep for long periods of time. Important? Yep, but what do I know. But we do know that at some point Oceanic plane survivors were in that cave already!

Lets break down a few things…I know how much you love to learn!

* 1). A craft is a skill, especially involving practical arts . It may refer to a trade or particular art.
   2). Both Freemasonry and Wicca are alternatively known as 'The Craft' by their adherents. (Yes, there is a reason I included this definition too).

* 1). Moisture generally refers to the presence of water, often in trace amounts.
   2). The moisture content is often an important aspect of various foodstuff including cheese and many dried goods such as tea where excess moisture can promote bacterial growth, decay, molding, or rotting over time.
   3). Excessive moisture is usually undesirable and can also cause rot in wood or other organic material, corrosion in metals, and electrical short circuits.

* 1). Bacteria display a wide diversity of shapes and sizes, called morphologies.
   2). Bacteria are ubiquitous in every habitat on Earth, growing in soil, acidic hot springs, radioactive waste, seawater, and deep in the Earth's crust.
   3). There are approximately 10 times as many bacterial cells as human cells in the human body.

* 1). A breed is a domesticated subspecies or infrasubspecies of an animal. For a type to be recognized as a breed, there should be a viable true-breeding population. The term may also be used as a verb, meaning action intended to produce offspring. A breed should also be distinguished from a strain, which is simply the descendants of a single significant individual, and which in domesticated animals is also known as a bloodline. A strain may not remain entirely within a breed, nor is a breed necessarily composed of a single strain.

* 1).Egg (Biology) an ovum together with its shell or outer layer, internal membranes and nutrients for the embryo.
  2). Egg cell or ovum, a haploid female reproductive cell or gamete.

FUN ITEMS ABOUT EGGS- That may come in handy too-
-Egg Island is an uninhabited island, officially an islet, in the Bahamas. The island has become home to chickens owned by residents of other nearby islands who travel here to collect the eggs.
-Egg an der Günz is a municipality in the district of Unterallgan in Bavaria, Germany.
-Elemental Gimmick Gear is an action role playing game for the Sega Dreamcast console. Elemental Gimmick Gear uses hand-drawn art in an overhead view during exploration, then switches to 3D graphics during boss battles.

Is this Missing Piece here to give us clues to emotional issues to some Losties? Is it giving us a heads up to a few dead "Islanders", or clues to biology?   The hint to "sleeping" for long periods of time is here for sure.

I'm sure we learned something here. After all, Dr. Arzt is our resident science educator!

ROOM 23. MISSING PIECES 6.

Let's talk about LOST!   Missing Pieces 6.    Room 23.

{The number 23 is shown while an alarm is going off and people are running around frantically. Juliet is just standing there in front of room 23 while all is this going on around her.   Ben arrives through double doors.}
Ben- "What's happening?"
Juliet- "He did it again"
Ben- "Did what again?"
Juliet- "You know"
Ben- "Well, you're going to have to tell him to stop doing it"
Juliet- "I'm not going in there"
Ben- "Fine. Get Beatrice".
Juliet- "She is not going in there either Ben. None of them will. Tom won't even bring him food. They're all scared. Look Ben, his father is out there looking for him. We could bring him back."
Ben- "No."
Juliet- "This is your responsibility. You were the one who wanted him here."
Ben- "Jacob wanted him here. He's important. He's special."
Juliet- "He's dangerous."
Ben- "He's just a kid Juliet. He's a child."
Juliet- "He's just a child? Come see." {Juliet takes Ben by the hand, leading him}
{They exit building and head down the stairs}
Juliet- "What kind of child does this?"
{Juliet has a gun tucked in her pants. There are dead birds (different kinds of birds) on the ground under a boarded up window above them. Ben looks worried}.

GREAT MOBISODE! Lots of questions to ask here and things to note...

* The name of Walt is never mentioned here.  Certainly they would know the name Walt.
* Why would a child be kept in room 23?   From what we've seen of room 23, it appears to be a "brainwashing" or "programming" room of sorts.  Are they trying to re-program this child? Or could there be something else going on in there?
* What makes this child important? Special? Dangerous?  Who or what is he a threat too? Why would Ben want the child there with them?   Why would Jacob want him there?  Was this child on a list?
* This child has done "it again".   Is this just about the birds?  Where did the birds come from? Are they "Island" birds?  Is the child outright killing birds?  Or is the child calling upon his bird friends to help him?   They just happen to die because they can't get to him (They crash into windows, etc).
Don't laugh, it can happen!   What the hell is his deal with the friggin birds?!!!
* What's this child's special abilities?
* Is this child a threat only to these people? Is he a threat to other groups of people? Or could he be part of a "Special Forces" team/unit?
* This is the 3rd Mobisode featuring Juliet.
* Again we heard the formal name Beatrice.

Some research that may or may not pertain: (Because I'm crazy like that!}
- 23rd Psalm
- Year 23 was a common year starting on Friday of the Julian Calendar.
- In math the smallest odd prime number which is not a twin prime.
- There are 23 letters in the Latin alphabet.
- The European Union has 23 official languages.
- In numerology, the 23 enigma is the Discordian belief that ALL events are connected to the number 23.
- Human sex cells have 23 chromosomes. Other human cells have 23 pairs of chromosomes.

* Birds evolved from Theropod dinosaurs during the Jurassic period. Birds communicate using visual and auditory signals.
- In religion, folklore and culture the bird serves as messengers or priests/leaders for a deity.

* Jacob is the 3rd Biblical Patriarch. The twin/younger brother of Esau. Jacob had 12 sons.

The Others are scared of this "child".  But if they are speaking about Walt here, none of the Lostie's were afraid of him.

OPERATION SLEEPER. MISSING PIECES 5.

Let's talk about LOST! Missing Pieces 5: Operation Sleeper

{Jack is asleep. He wakes up. Juliet puts her finger up, "Shhhh".}

JULIET- "It's OK."
JACK- "What happened?"
JULIET- "We need to talk, Jack."
JACK- "OK."
JULIET- "Ever since I got here, the people in your camp, Sayid, Sawyer, they don't trust me. They think that I am here to hurt them. And it's only a matter of time before they figure out..."
JACK- "I'm not going to let anything happen to you."
JULIET- "Thank you. Please let me finish. It's only a matter of time before they figure out that they're right."
JACK- "What?"
JULIET- "They shouldn't trust me. I'm still working for him, for Ben. He sent me here to study the women to find out which ones were pregnant."
JACK- "Why?"
JULIET- "So we can take them. He promised me no one would get hurt."
JACK- "He promised you?"
JULIET- "Listen, Jack."
JACK- "How could you? I thought- that you were one of us. I saw it. You wanted to get on that submarine as bad as I did."
JULIET- "But I didn't get on it. And neither did you. Just… I guess I thought that it was actually going to happen. That we would get off this island. I was naive to think that he would let us."
JACK- "Let us? Ben was in a wheelchair. Locke blew up that submarine."
JULIET- "Did he? "
JACK- "So you're only here because he sent you here?"
JULIET- "Yeah."
JACK-" Why are you telling me this now?
JULIET: Last night we saw, we saw the baby growing inside her. If she's still on this island in about a month, both of them will be dead. I've been living Benjamin Linus's dream for three years. Three years. It's time to wake up.

Great Mobisode!
I've never been more happy about seeing my work with these notes/blogs start to show some reward with my notes. I AM SO HAPPY THAT I NOTED ALL THE BOLD WORDS SUCH AS SLEEPING AND WAKE UP IN ALL THE NOTES.
When I saw that tie into this Mobisode I cried I was so damn happy!
Juliet and Jack's dialog here reminds me of when we are dreaming, how words/sentences seem a little "confused" or even sound like they're in code sentences.   Even though Juliet is "sharing" things with Jack, this dialog seem almost dreamlike.

* Why does Juliet specifically name Sawyer and Sayid?
* "One of us"
* Why would Ben think there would be multiple pregnant women in the camp?
* The pregnant women- Take them where?
* Ben doesn't keep promises!
* Juliet is still working for Ben. Is she getting paid? Is there a great retirement plan?
* Who didn't let them get off the "Island"... Really?
* Who blew up the submarine...Really?
* Who is Juliet really telling to "WAKE UP"?

Vocabulary and Research...
-Sleep is the natural state of rest observed throughout the animal kingdom. Many scientists believe that memory depends on sleep.
-Sleeper is a spy.
-A dream is an experience of a sequence of images, sounds, ideas, emotions, or other sensations usually during sleep especially REM sleep. The events of dreams are often impossible, or unlikely to occur, in physical reality: they are also outside the control of the dreamer. The exception to this is known as lucid dreams, in which dreamers realize that they are dreaming, and are sometimes capable of changing their dream environment and controlling various aspects of the dream. The dream environment is often much more realistic in a lucid dream, and the senses heightened.
-Dream incorporation is a phenomenon whereby an external stimulus, usually an auditory one, becomes a part of a dream, eventually then awakening the dreamer.
- The theory of déjà vu dealing with dreams indicates that the feeling of having previously seen or experienced something could be attributed to having dreamed about a similar situation or place, and forgetting about it until one seems to be mysteriously reminded of the situation or place while awake.

-A submarine is a watercraft that can operate underwater. The term submarine most commonly refers to large unaided vessels, however historically or more casually, submarine can also refer to medium sized or smaller vessels, (midget submarines, submersibles, wet subs) or robots. The word submarine was originally an adjective meaning "under the sea".
The first sub with reliable information on its construction was built in 1620 by Cornelius Jacobszoon Drebbel, a Dutchman in the service of James I of England. It was built to the standards of the design outlined by English mathematician William Bourne the inventor of the submarine.

When I think of lucid dreams or waking dreams, I think of a classic story that is all about that very subject. A little story by Charles Dickens called A Christmas Carol!
Waking Dream. WOW!

Disclaimer: I never claim to know everything about the show and my thoughts by no means make me right! The things I share here are my views and/or opinions. I don't claim to catch every single detail either! You all know I hate spoilers! And I stand clear of reading certain sites as to not take me off my own course of research.

THE DEAL. MISSING PIECES 4.

Let's talk about LOST!   Missing Pieces  4: The Deal.

{Michael is sitting tied up in a at the decoy village. Juliet enters. Michael looks troubled through their whole conversation.   Juliet has no shoes on.  There is a box/crate to Michael's right with a lantern on it.}
Michael appears to be sleeping.

Juliet- "Hello Michael. I'm Juliet."
Michael- "What do you want?"
Juliet- "The boat you asked for... they wanted me to tell you it's yours."
Michael- "Good."
Juliet- "Beatrice told me you saw your son. I spent some time with him, with Walt. He's a very interesting kid. He's uh... he's very smart. He's very special."
Michael- "What do you mean 'special'?"
Juliet- "He's not an ordinary boy, which is why I'm worried about him. So I'm very glad that you agreed to do this for us. I'm glad that you're going to get him away from here."
Michael- "You expect me to believe that you give a damn about my son?"
Juliet- "Believe it or not, Michael, I am not your enemy."
Michael- "Oh you're not, huh?"
Juliet- "No I'm not. The man in your camp, the one you're going to free, his name is Ben. He's very important."
Michael- "Is he the one that can get me off this island?"
Juliet- "Yes."
Michael- "Will he?"
Juliet- "Yes, he will."
Michael- "I guess I'm just supposed to take your word for that, huh?"
Juliet- "I guess you are."
Juliet- "I made a deal with him, too."
Michael- "Then why are you still here?"
Juliet- "Because he saved my sister's life."
Michael- "And where is she?"
Juliet- "Miami."
Michael- "But you had to stay. What's the point in saving her life if you can't be with her?"
Juliet- "Wouldn't you do anything to save Walt? You have your list. {she gets up to leave} Good luck."

{Juliet leaves. Michael looks around and slams his feet in frustration.}

GREAT MOBISODE!
Deals are  being made all over the damn place!  But the "Deal" only seems to ever favor Ben or the "Island".   Why does it seem there really is no escape for these "people" regardless of the "deal" that is made?

Things to Note...Questions to Ask:
* Juliet says "good luck" NOT Namaste, as we've heard from a few people before.   Dharma says Namaste.
* Deal. I'm not going to put you through those definitions of the word again. Head back to Mobisode 3 notes for that.
* The boat again; The fishing boat! You mean the boat that is not meant for open water! Is it this little shitty fishing boat that's so important? REALLY?!
* Kate has ties to Miami.  Juliet's sister Rachel is in Miami.  What is the tie to Miami? We know that Ethan and Richard traveled there.
* Stated above, Michael's List, Michael's Boat.
* I've said it before and I'll say it again, Michael and his association with "the Island" or what goes on there is NOT new to him!  I've felt going all the way back to season 1. Why is he being held by this group of people?  Could it be these are not the people Michael has "dealings" with? Or he simply doesn't remember all of them.
* Michael has used the words Hut and Tepee to describe the decoy villages dwellings to the Losties. Hut and/or tepee are terms that describe dwellings of primitive houses made by old or even ancient cultures, I.E. Indians or even nomads.
* Walt is special, not ordinary. How? Is he genetically special? Mentally special? Can the kid tie a damn cherry stem in a knot while it's in his mouth? Hmmm???!!!!
* Is Walt a threat to the "Island" or someone/something on it?
* We learned that supposedly Ben is not the one entirely able to let them off the "Island". Yet Juliet tells Michael that he is the one who can get him off the  "Island". What is the truth? What is a lie?
* How is Ben important?
* Beatrice.

I am really LOVING these Mobisodes!
