Let’s talk about LOST! JI YEON…and Baby Makes…
I HAVEN’T RE-WATCHED. THESE ARE PRELIMINARY NOTES! I WILL DETAIL THIS EPISODE SOON!
An interesting episode with lots of questions!
I didn’t leave much here for you all I’m afraid. I’ve been trying to play catch up on everything, but please share your thoughts with me.
Things to note...Questions to ask...
* "Flashes"!!! WoooHoooo. Not in time order or just plain wrong.
It was easier to see this when they used two people for this example instead of me always trying to convince you that’s what’s going on. But there it was! Not only that, we're able to see the blurring, crossovers and connections as if things are layers right on top of each other.
* Time? Time Travel? Time line- If there are NO time travel issues, Sun is hanging out with Hurley and the infant around July-ish 2005. Now that would make my previous time line work, i.e. The Hunting Party, Tale of Two Cities, etc.,
But, If Jin’s marker/tombstone shows 9/22/04, how is Sun explaining the at least 6 week difference of seeing her husband last and conceiving? I’m just asking!
* Waaaaaaaaaaalt!!! Looks like Waaaaaalt could have written the damn note. It looks "child-like".
* Kevin Johnson. Michael.
* Regina reads a book upside down. That's bizarre. She jumps overboard wrapped in chains. Well, maybe she’s just going to an underwater hatch, lair or city. Maybe she is trying to kill herself…Why?
* What is going on with the ship that they are acting all freaky? They look like zombies/shit! They're killing themselves and others. Is it drug induced, withdrawal or hypnosis or not really happening? Or is there no other way out of a particular situation?
* Is someone/something making this happen?
* Expose. The Cobra. Someone is working for our cobra.
* Professional sailors getting "cabin fever". NOT. How long have they been sailing around for? Hmmm?
* The boat’s moving..."If you say it is."
* Sun really wanted to have her baby at home, so could this be a case of "If you say it is"? Meaning she wished that. I wonder...
* Proof of things being faked, on a GRAND scale! There it was!!!
* Dr Ray scares me!
* Dr. Bae. {Bay} Dr. Park. Hmmmmm.
* Juliet is Sun’s doctor! WTF? Juliet’s a tattle tale too. Hahaha. Like she has no friggin secrets!
* Jin’s "Flashes" had more Chinese and Japanese references in them.
* ORCHIDS ALL AROUND SUN.
* Sun is a good teacher. She’s the only one who ever really asks questions and demands answers. She delivers her baby alone with no family with her.
* Sun won’t remove her wedding ring during delivery. Is she still married to Jin? Maybe he’s gone. Or Jin could have stayed on the island and sent her back home to have the baby. Sun is afraid there’s something wrong with the baby.
* Black and white. Clothes, Panda Bear.
* Year of the dragon. February 5, 2000. January 23, 2012
* Dragon-Hydra.
* Captain Gault. He knows that Desmond knows who Charles Widmore is.
* Bugs. Cockroaches.
* Power Rangers. Action figures of morphing superheros.
* Desmond is way too comfortable taking off his shoes and catching some zzz’s. The note comes in the door/grill and he has Sayid get up and get it. WTF?! Get it yourself! Why make Sayid get it? Desmond didn’t even freak when he realized it was Widmore’s boat.
* Are any of them older than we think?
* Hurley is not in Santa Rosa! By the way, he looked very handsome!
* Bernard calls Locke a murderer. As I recall Bernard shot at dynamite and blew up the tent that KILLED a few Others! Many of them can be considered murderers.

* Giant Panda , "black-and-white cat-foot"; traditional Chinese: literally: "big bear cat" is a mammal classified in the bear family. The Giant Panda is an endangered species. While the dragon has historically served as China’s national emblem, in recent decades the Giant Panda has also served as emblem for the country.
* Mandarin oranges are the most popular and most abundant fruit during Chinese New Year — jin ju.
* The dragon, "a serpent of huge size, a python, a dragon. is a mythical creature typically depicted as a gigantic and powerful serpent or other reptile with magical or spiritual qualities.
* Cockroaches are insects of the order Blattodea. The earliest cockroach-like fossils are from the Carboniferous period between 354–295 million years ago. Cockroaches are most common in tropical and subtropical climates.

I really enjoyed this episode. We were re-visited by a few important clues of episodes past.
Walt and Michael, Rose’s cancer, sickness, blood, babies, birth. We need to keep these clues nearby.
Of course remember..."We have to go back!"
This was a great episode. I cried. Jin and Sun truly love each other.

Let's talk about LOST! Connect Four.
THIS IS NOT MY USUAL DETAILED EPISODE POST. I WILL DETAIL THIS EPISODE IN ORDER OF ALL EPISODES.
I have not re-watched to detail this episode yet. These are a few things that stuck out to me and things we need to think about. I'll build upon them with my upcoming research.
Here are just some quick thoughts on 4-2 Confirmed Dead.
I'm excited that clues I've pointed out in this little blog have begun to show their points. A few are plates, under, underwater, faked, etc… I'm sure the clues will continue on with the rest of our story!
* The discovery of an Oceanic plane deep underwater in the Sunda Trench off Bali.
* There are dead bodies on board this crashed/sunken plane.
* This wreck is claimed to be Oceanic flight 815.
* Two ROV's were sent down under the water while on a quest to find the Black Rock.
* The boat this little crew sailed on is called The Christian 1. This information was witnessed in this episode, but was also learned the last day of the ARG Find815.
* The 888-548-0034 number was given out during the game as well.
In this episode, we're introduced to 4 people:
Daniel: He has a very peculiar personality and I noticed a bit of odd behavior.
In one of the ARG's, 'The LOST Experience', we learned about savants being used for certain study and contributions to working study/projects. I can't help but wonder if it's with Daniel that we start getting that information/connection. Maybe he was able to figure something out. Of course I'm not sure. We'll just have to take this info and see how it plays out.
I note that when Daniel is on the SAT phone, whomever he's talking to doesn't want to be on speaker phone. Let the secrets continue!
Miles: Doesn't want anyone to know his last name. WOW! Why? Who is he related to? He "can" 'communicate' with the dead and he charges a customer $200 for his services. By the way the room he worked in had imagery connecting to the "Island".
Charlotte: She is in Tunisia for a dig that reveals Dharma Polar Bear and its collar. She's not surprised! She apparently has to read the same headline in many different languages. The psychic's daughter in Australia had a daughter named Charlotte too.
C.S. Lewis connection…I guess we're in Narnia! lol
Frank Lapidus: An Oceanic airline pilot turned beach bum? WTF? He says he was supposed to pilot that flight. He also says the image on the TV of the 'dead' pilot isn't Seth Norris. His clue-no wedding ring. I did note on top of his old TV he has a replica helicopter, 2004 map and Activities brochure, dolphin cruise. Frank says he studied the manifest.
I noted in another blog post that in the EXPOSE script, the cast list showed a Rick Lapidus. So Frank does indeed have a connection to everything!
Naomi: Has a meeting with Abaddon in a vacant office space. He has files and pictures of the 4 recruits. Naomi is troubled that these 4 hold no qualifications to be involved in a high risk, covert operation in unstable territory. So, why would these 4 be recruited for such a 'job'? Because they have to be! Naomi comments about running into the survivors. Abaddon emphatically tells her there are no survivors! I guess if you repeat a lie over and over it will become believable!
Ben: Is he really a member of society in the "outside world"? Ben claims to have someone on her boat. So with Intel like that wouldn't Ben have known they were coming all along? Besides, who is this person he mentions? Why are they looking for Ben? Could Ben have a twin/replica? I'm just asking!!
The 4 new arrivals to the "Island" have a picture of what appears to be Ben, circa late 70's early 80's. But when Naomi arrived she had a picture of Desmond; That's who she said she was looking for.
Ben shoots Charlotte; who is wearing a bullet proof vest. Ben is wearing a vest in the picture they have of him. In EXPOSE Howard makes reference to bullet proof vest to Nikki.
Daniel comments on the "lighting" {Light scattering} being different on the "Island".
Juliet- a "native". Hehehe. Who else? Wink, wink!
Why do the 4 have gas masks? Another purge perhaps?
Vincent.
Locke comments that Ben shot him. The bullet went in one side and came out the other. If he had a kidney he'd be dead.
The helicopter people bail out due to the copter going down; Yet Frank lands it.
Mirrors.
Cow. Moo!
Waking up.
Things being faked. Tricks. Manipulated, etc.

We still have imagery "off Island" that connects to the "Island".
I LOVE a good Star Wars reference! Wooohooo!
If we use the 'Connect 4' metaphor, could it be about connecting these four new arrivals to the rest of the 'Islanders'; Or four more pawns in the chess game?
The whole finding the "Island" thing: Okay, the incident when the sky turns purple seems to be the turning point for many things. If the "Island" and surrounding area is hidden by a 'dome effect' covering of magnetic energy, the incident disrupted the 'covering effect' long enough for the "Island" to be detected. But if the "Island" is covered by this magnetic field, maybe that's the exact reason 'time' is an issue there. Couldn't that magnetic power/properties cause 'time' to just run very, very slow there or is it time is totally irrelevant there, except for a countdown timer?
So there's Locke asking Ben questions…about the Smoke Monster. HA!!!
Two very, very important things to note here is -To see how things have shifted on the "Island". Ben's people are gone and are most likely at the temple. But Jack has his people in hiding, armed, ready to defend! Also, Ben now knows that Hurley as well as Locke can see Jacob/cabin! HOLY SHIT!
Well Losties, without me digging deep and detailing yet, I hope I gave you enough clues and info to get started.
I've said all along, people aren't who we think they are. A few in more way than one! Things are not what they seem.

Expose.
Let's talk about LOST! EXPOSE
Blurred/jostled visual of Nikki running through the jungle with her bag. She stops to dig a hole and bury something, covers it and runs off!
In a strip club we’re introduced to sexy pole dancing Nikki. She begins her dance on stage 3; in a white coat and hat. She is the 'Pride of St. Paul', Corvette. She strips down to her diamond bikini. From her pole she keeps her eye on a man who heads into a back office.
In the office that man opens a suitcase filled with cash.
Corvette says "That's the money for the orphanage. Which means Mr. LaShade, you're the Cobra." {LaShade,Shady}
The Cobra turns around from his 2 video monitors and says "Sorry baby. It's just business."
Corvette realizes, "All this time it was you."
He has to eliminate her. She karate chops a thug, says her catch phrase, "Razzle Dazzle."
The Cobra shoots her 2x anyway. {1 of the pics on the wall looks similar to the one on the Girls of Fiji magazine from Sawyers stash!!}
Cobra fires 1 more shot into her. Autumn and Crystal run in.
Cobra-"Bad news. Corvette was working for the Cobra. But fear not, he will pay."
This was the last shot filmed for the TV show, EXPOSE.
"CUT."
Billy Dee Williams gives Nikki a hand up. {Note: silver platter} She walks through the sound stage. This was a series wrap on Corvette.{Note the sign says EXPOSE. Season 4}
Howard tells her, "You know you don't need to die. We can bring you back next season."
She only had a guest starring role but they could have her come back. He suggests Corvette could have been wearing a bullet proof vest...Bullet proof breast. Her work is done there, but she will not be leaving Sydney, "I love you."
He loves her too.
Hurley and Sawyer play Ping Pong.
Hurley wins, "Best out of 5."
Sawyer-"Now we're going best out of 7."
Nikki falls out of the jungle; collapses and the guys run over to her. Nikki in her lack of breath says something but they can't make out what she said. Sawyer tells Hurley to get some water; Get help. Sawyer gets up to look into the jungle to see if anything else is going on. Hurley never got up to get the water.
Sawyer- "What are you doing? Get moving!"
Hurley-"Dude. Nikki's dead."
Sawyer-"Who the hell's Nikki?"

Nikki and Howard are eating breakfast frittatas prepared by his new chef Paulo. {Note: crystal knick knack on the table.} Howard introduces Paulo to his new fan, Nikki. She compliments his cooking.
Paulo feels "The secret is the shaved truffles. Lucky for you they're in season." {Paulo white uniform, black shoes.} Paulo showed up at Howard's door every day until he would hire him.
Howard- "He is the Wolfgang Puck of Brazil."
Howard presents Nikki with the bread basket, "Here try one of these homemade rolls." He gives her a diamond bracelet that was hidden in the basket.
Nikki- "It's beautiful." {Nikki's black nails}
Howard tells her he realizes it's not a ring, not yet, "But when my wife..." He stops right there as he's having a heart attack.
Nikki calls out for Paulo. He checks Howard's pulse and declares "He's gone."
Nikki doesn't waste a second; she rips the key from around his neck. Annoyed Nikki tells Paulo, "I would have loved it if you could have figured out a way where I didn't have to eat the same food as him."
They head into the closet to open the safe.
Paulo questions, "So, nobody else knows about this thing?"
Nikki- "Everything in here is way off the books."
She removes a panel with neckties to reveal the safe. Paulo wants to light up a cigarette but she reminds him that they don't want to leave any evidence behind. "We poisoned him Paulo. Let’s not poison ourselves."
Once inside the safe she recovers a Matryoshka doll and proudly says “Razzle Freakin Dazzle"
Hurley, Sawyer, Charlie, Jin and Sun sit around Nikki's body. They’re trying to figure out what happened to her. Hurley tells them she has no gunshot wound, no knife wound, no polar bear bite. {These are the fatal injuries he mentions!}
Sun wonders, "Maybe it was something she ate?"
Charlie-"Maybe she was poisoned?"
Sun suggests checking the food supply to see if anyone else is sick. Charlie wearing the big cross on his chest shirt; checks Nikki's nails; she has gunk under her finger nails.
Charlie asks Sawyer where he found her. {Sawyer's reaction was of "Oh yeah. That makes sense"}
But he tells Charlie –"Right here. She stumbled out of the jungle, face planted, said something like ply wood, and then, sayonara."
Hurley thinks she said “Power lines.”
Sawyer doesn't know what she said, "She was 5 seconds from dying. She probably seeing the light at the end of the tunnel."
"Paulo lies!"
Hurley feels confident that she said "Paulo lies."
He tells Sawyer, "That's her husband or boyfriend or whatever. They live down the beach."
Sawyer wants to know where he is because if he lies, "That might be a good place to start."

In the airport Paulo reads the newspaper aloud to Nikki about the death of English ex pat Howard L. Zuckerman. Headline- Famed Tube Tycoon Dies Of Heart attack. He was the creative force behind hit shows like EXPOSE, STRIKE TEAM ALPHA, and DOCTOR KINCAIDE, ESQUIRE. {2 glasses champagne.} They are pleased they have gotten away with murder.
Paulo is chewing nicotine gum because he quit smoking. {Quit smoking! Paulo wearing is Brazil Sweatshirt/jacket. Opens an EXPOSE script bag to get gum. Brazilian passport. Nesting doll} They toast their new life together.
Shannon and her step Brother Boone make their way through the airport. Shannon is complaining about there being no place to sit. Boone offers her a chair from the restaurant. Pissed off Shannon says, "Good call Boone. Let's just leave. You already screwed us out of seats in first class, why would you be able to find them here?" {By the way, I see Dustin Watchman walking by. Hi Dustin!}
Boone asks permission from Nikki and Paulo for one of their chairs, they say yes.
Shannon has a fit and accuses Boone of flirting with random guys, and walks away.
On the beach Shannon is screaming for Boone! It's the day of the 'Crash'.
Nikki is searching the site for Paulo/bag. We see many familiar and similar images from 'Crash' day; Jin, Jack with Claire, Boone trying to revive Rose, Locke, {whom has contact with Nikki in this version}
Explosions and Nikki's meeting with Arzt.
Arzt is heard asking, "Are we alive? Did we survive? Look at me. Am I okay? Am I okay?" {Apparently he doesn't know the answer to this trick question.}
Boone asks Nikki if she has a pen.
Boone obviously on a quest asks, "Does anybody have a pen?"
Nikki sees Paulo staring out at the water. Her first question to him is, "Where's the bag?"
In the jungle Paulo lays on the ground with his eyes open. Sawyer tells Hurley,”This is the trail."
Hurley asks him what he knows about tracking. {Damn if you’re around someone long enough or often enough, you’re bound to eventually pick it up!}
Jin, Sawyer and Hurley find Paulo.
He's just like Nikki; no wound. Jin says something to Hurley in Korean, trying to show him something and Hurley seems to understand him and replies back.
Sawyer finds a right sneaker in a tree and Paulo's pants are undone.
Sawyer- "Maybe he stepped on something."
Jin looks through the back pack. Sawyers peers into the jungle; he doesn't admit he sees anything to Hurley.
Jin opens Paulo's water bottle and cautious Sawyer runs over tells him, "NO!" and pours it out. Hurley freaks because that's evidence!
Sawyer- "Two people are dead. Did you ever think they might have been poisoned?"
Hurley feels Sawyer's messing up the crime scene.
Sawyer- "Crime scene? There a forensics hatch I don't know about?" {Yes Sawyer. More hatches.}
Jin tells him to stop, "Monster."

Nikki and Paulo are fiddling with a pile of suitcases; they're talking about the monster.
Nikki says {as did Danielle} there’s no such thing as monsters. Apparently she's told him this many times. Paulo wonders if it was a dinosaur.
Nikki- "It's not Jurassic Park, Paulo. It's the South Pacific." {Well maybe it Jurassic Park!} He asks her what it was after all she saw the trees move. She doesn't care; she wants him to start focusing! They've been there for 6 days, the coast guard is going to get there any second, and she just wants the script bag.
Ethan asks them if they lost their luggage. He found some stuff, pants or a sweatshirt; he can help them find some that fit. {WTF? And yes, he's wearing the Wisconsin sweatshirt. Is he the wardrobe master?}
Nikki share with Ethan that Paulo lost his nicotine gum. Ethan cleverly and conveniently points them inland where they may have more luck. He explains the plane split apart so some of the stuff may have rained down in there. Paulo doesn't want to go into the jungle.
Arzt the 'town crier' tells everyone,”Boone! Boone took the water."
We witness Jack's Live Together, Die Alone speech, again.
Remember, he found water in the valley.
At Nikki's body:
Hurley, Jin and Sawyer carry Paulo's body to the cemetery; Hurley announces he's with Jin on the "Monster".
Sawyer comments sarcastically, "Yeah. Because that makes the most sense."
Hurley-"Locke said when Eko died his last words were, you’re next. And Nikki and Paulo were with them. He was talking about them."
Sawyer tells him he wasn't saying that about them. He was saying it as in 'You're all next.' The way Sawyer sees it they need to "find out whatever we can about these Jabonies...Nina and Pablo."
Hurley tells him to show respect; he knows their names.
Sawyer- "Whatever Hugo."
They head off to their tent; they better get some shovels too. The 2 bodies are left there uncovered, staring at the sky. {Damn, dry eyes! Visine, anyone?!}

Nikki is going to flirt her way in her “red top” to get info from Dr.Arzt. He has built himself a fucking LAB; complete with a shit load of peanut butter jars and containers! He's studying millipedes or centipedes and all kinds of creepy crawlies.
Nikki- "You're a scientist
Arzt proudly replies, "And and educator."
Since they got there HE discovered 20 new species, "I'm gonna be the next Charles Darwin."
Nikki picks up a blue topped jar that's holding the very dangerous Latrodectus Regina, Medusa Spider! {Oooooh-aaaaahhh} Her pheromones are very strong; one whiff and every male of the species would be there in seconds. {Is this one of his discoveries? There's no such thing as a Medusa Spider as far as we know. Is this an 'Island' discovery? He says "They call it the Medusa Spider." And if it's so dangerous, shouldn't it be in a jar with a RED top?! LOL}
Nikki asks him to explain trajectories so she can figure out where her luggage may have landed. He adjusts his handsome necktie obviously honored she asked him for help. He is going to draw a map. {Of course!}
Nikki and Paulo trek out into the jungle using a Jr. High school teachers hand drawn map. Nikki accuses Paulo of being jealous of Leslie.
Sarcastic Nikki says, "His spiders turn me on… I had to sleep with him."
Paulo brings up that she slept with Zuckerman, but Nikki reminds him she did that for "Us."
Paulo apologizes to her, "I don't trust that guy. We should have gone to Ethan. He would have helped."
Nikki points out the drug plane that's hanging off the cliff.
Paulo-"Another plane. Looks like it's been here a while."
She tries to get him to go up there, "Maybe there's a radio or something."
Paulo-"Are you insane. If I go up there, that thing's gonna fall."
{Paulo knows it's gonna fall. Boone and Locke didn't?! Where is the common sense?}
She tells him he's not gonna fall.
Paulo asks her if she wants him to die. "Come on. Let’s keep moving."
Nikki now points out the hatch that in the ground. {She's 2 for 2!} Paulo uses a rock to help open it; he wants to go check it out.
Nikk-"So, our carry on bag fell from the sky, opened a man hole, crawled inside, closed the doors behind itself? You don't' wanna climb up to a plane, but you wanna climb down a ladder into a dark tunnel. I don't think so."
Sawyer rummages through Nikki and Paulo stuff. Hurley tells him to be careful.
Sawyer- "Why? They don't live here anymore."
Charlie informs them Sun checked the food, "They're eating the same as us and no one else is sick. Could be a virus."
Hurley-"Dude. Monster." {Very interesting! Hmmmm}
Arzt's bug collection is in Nikki and Paulo’s tent. Butterflies {morphing bug}.
Charlie-"He collected all kinds of creepy crawlies before he exploded.
Hurley- "They must have been friends." {Very interesting. Hmmm?}
Charlie finds Nikki's EXPOSE script. Hurley claims it's only the most awesome hour of TV, ever! He flips through the pages very excited! It's like Baywatch, only better.
Hurley explains-"It's about Autumn and Crystal, two strippers that solve crimes with the help of their suave, smooth talking club owner, Mr. LaShade." {IMPORTANT NOTE- Hurley shows the cast list. Nikki is mentioned, but so is RICK LAPIDUS! Could that be a relative of Frank Lapidus? His name came up in find815!} Her big break must have been in Australia. Hurley reads the reveal that Mr. LaShade is the Cobra. The Cobra is this big bad guy; his identity has been shrouded in mystery for 4 seasons! Sawyer finds a walkie talkie, the same ones the Others use. Sawyer says they must have been working with the Others.

Shannon, Kate and Arzt are on the beach.
Artz-"Excuse me. Are you my mother? Because she knows what's best for me. Other than that, I decide."
Nikki {L.A. shirt} and Paulo ask the group what's going on.
Shannon tells her, "Kate and her two boyfriends found a case of guns that fell out of the plane. They decided they didn't really need to tell the camp."
Kate says the case is locked and the key is around Jack's neck; they're safe.
Artz tells Kate, "You're all out of control. The pigs are walking. Huh. The pigs are walking!" {Animal farm} Nikki wants to know where they found the case.
Nikki wants Paulo to dive in the water and find the script bag. She calls him a wuss.
She is manipulating him, "As you had no trouble reminding me I slept with Howie Zuckerman so the least you can do is go for a swim and Kate said they found the case on the bottom.”
Paulo asks her if she didn't need him so bad to get the bag, would they still be together.
Nikki tells him that bag is worth 8 Million Dollars, "Just dive in, Paulo."{Paulo, there's your answer} He dives in and passes the two bodies that are still in the seats and he sees the bag wedged between rocks. He returns to the surface but lies to Nikki telling her there was no bag.
Nikki-"There's nothing down there?"
Just dead bodies. {She is carrying a bag} He dives under.
The staring and still bodies of Nikki and Paulo at the graves:
Charlie, Jin, Sun and Hurley wonder if they were working with the Others. How?
Sawyer-"Like Michael."
The Others could be out there waiting to "get us."
Hurley tells him very nonchalant that he was with the Others two weeks ago. They're on the total other side of the island." Then who dragged Sun into the jungle?
Sun-"The Others came into our camp. They grabbed me; put a bag over my head. And if I hadn't gotten away, they would have killed me."
Sawyer has a gun and he offers to go see if "I can see any sign of them. I'll do a perimeter sweep." Sawyer says he got the gun off one of 'them' and he was gonna let the camp know about the gun, “Right Now."
Hurley asks what a perimeter sweep is.
Charlie asks Sun if they should "Cover them up?" Yes.

Paulo is on the beach at night with the script bag. He pops two pieces of Nicotine gum. {It's been 32 days! Does he still need the nicotine gum that badly?} He starts digging a hole.
Locke happens upon him and say, "Nice night."
Paulo hides the nesting dolls behind him and says he's doing nothing.
Locke says it looks like he's digging a hole, "Every man's entitled to his secrets Paulo, but can I give you a piece of advice?...You should put the shovel away and save yourself some trouble...Things don't stay buried on this island. The beach is eroding. Winter's coming. High tide. Whatever it is your hiding, make sure you pick a spot that won't wash away. See you back at camp."
Paulo climbs down the ladder into the Pearl Station. {Has a flashlight} He hides the nesting dolls in the toilet tank that's filled with water. {Number 22}
A voice is heard asking, "Who left this open?"
It's Ben and Juliet dressed in 'Others' garb with no shoes.
Juliet tells Ben that Tom was down here a couple of days ago. We hear Ben reply to her, "Have him cover it with a plank."
Paulo, hiding, shuts the bathrooms pocket door and watches them through the crack.
Ben tunes monitor 5 and we see Jack in the Swan hatch. Juliet remarks that's Shepherd; he's cute. Ben and Juliet have the 'surgery' conversation. Ben feels he can convince him to do the surgery, "The same way I get anybody to do anything. I find out what he's emotionally invested in, and I exploit it.” {Hmmm…Like taking Walt from Michael, maybe?}
Juliet- "We just grab all three of them? Ford and Austen too?"
No.Ben says they need to "Come to us." They're going to do that, using Michael of course.
Juliet- "This place gives me the creeps."
And they leave.
Paulo takes the walkie they left behind.{With all the camera's everywhere, wouldn't they know where everyone was wandering about to and from?!}
Hurley tells Desmond about Nikki and Paulo. He wants Des to use his psychic powers to see what happened. Of course he can't because it conveniently doesn't work like that. He only sees Flashes. {Yeah, so does everybody else!}
Hurley- "As far as superpowers go, yours is kind of lame.”
Desmond says he saw her with his mate this morning, "Your boy Sawyer."
Nikki was yelling at him, right before she died. {At this point it seems like Des's 'power' really only works when he knows it can get him closer to Penny. Manipulating Charlie gets him closer to Penny.}
Vincent {No collar} is sniffing around the blanket covered bodies of Nikki and Paulo.
Hurley-"Vincent! Dude!" The dog pulls the blankets off of them.
Charlie feels that Des seeing Sawyer and Nikki fighting doesn't prove anything. Hurley wonders why Sawyer is gung-ho about investigating this.
Sun states Sawyer's not a murderer, "He went all the way across the island to help Michael."
Sun insists it's the Others. Charlie comes clean about Sun's abduction. He tells her it was he who took her not the Others. After Locke hit him he just wasn't himself. Sawyer told him he could get even by helping steal the guns so they just made it look like the Others, "I didn't mean to hurt you." She walks away. Charlie is sorry.

Locke asks the group at the beach kitchen/pantry who wants to go to the Pearl Station. The computer there could help find "Our people." Nikki wants to go.
Inside the Pearl Station we see the gang talking about the monitors.
Paulo is in the bathroom retrieving the nesting dolls from the toilet tank.
We can hear Dr. Mark Wickmund's voice coming from the video.
Nikki talks about connecting to other hatches, etc.. Paulo opens all the nesting dolls to get to the little pouch; he hides the pouch down his pants. He throws the pieces of the nesting dolls back into the tank; flushes the toilet to complete the illusion he actually used the toilet.
Sawyer returns to the graves and the Losties. Hurley demands the gun from him; it's not even loaded.
Hurley tells him to quit lying, Desmond saw him with Nikki.
Sawyer-"Oh, I see what this is. Villagers got themselves some torches."
Sawyer did not kill them but admits he went at it with Nikki this morning because she wanted a gun. He didn't tell them because of the dirt under her nails. She was digging a hole. He saw a fresh mound of dirt near Paulo; she was burying something. Sawyer explains if you take the time to dig a hole right before you die, then what you're hiding probably pretty damn good. Sawyer throws the pouch of diamonds to Sun. He says he had nothing to do with those two.

Nikki and Paulo sit and look out toward the water. Thanksgiving was 2 weeks ago and they missed it. They're gonna miss everything.
Paulo says they're going to find us, “We'll get rescued.”
She's surprised by his optimism. Paulo tells her it's how you look at things, "Like the bag. Maybe not finding it was good for us." Finding it may have torn them apart. He's going to go get them some breakfast. When he gets up, there's his nicotine gum!
Upset Nikki tells Sawyer she wants a gun. He's sitting reading a book, glasses on. "I don't have the guns. The A team took em all."
She knows he kept guns for himself.
Sawyer still wouldn't give her one, "Judging by the fire you're breathing, I got a feeling no good would come of it."
Nikki demands, "Sawyer. Give me a gun."
Des watches all of this.
Sawyer tells her to cool herself off, "And who the hell are you?"
Sawyer at Nikki's grave whispers,”Thanks for nothing" and closes her eyes. {What's he thanking her for?!}
As Sawyer digs a grave, Sun comes over and tells him Charlie told her everything.
Sawyer asks if she'll tell Jin.
Sun-"No...Because then we'd have to dig another grave." {Sawyer has no shirt on! YEAH!} Sun gives him the pouch of diamonds because they are worthless here. She slaps him.
At the graveside service for the two, Hurley does the talking,”We didn't know you very well. And it appears; you killed each other for diamonds. But I know there are good parts to you too. {Check out Sawyer here.} You were always nice to me. And you were a member of the camp. And, I really loved EXPOSE."
Good bye.
Sawyer takes the diamonds out of the pouch and pours them over their bodies, "Rest in peace Nikki and Paulo."

Nikki leads Paulo into the jungle because she has a surprise! She found the diamonds, right here! She knows he has them but he says he doesn't. To prove it she shows him the nicotine gum. She takes out the peanut butter jar with the Medusa Spider and throws the spider at him.
She gives him a spider lesson. They call it the Medusa Spider because one look from Medusa would turn anyone into stone. One bite from this spider will paralyze you for 8 hours. It won't kill you. Only slow your heart rate down to the point even a doctor would have a hard time hearing it beat.
Paulo falls to the ground and becomes paralyzed; it bit him on the neck.
Nikki searches his body, throws the shoe that land in the tree, and finds the diamonds down his pants.
Paulo says he's sorry, he was afraid of losing her. If they “found the diamonds then you wouldn't need me anymore."
The smoke monster sounds!! Then lots of spiders arrive; one bites Nikki’s leg. Knowing what is to come from the bite she runs to bury the diamonds before paralysis kicks in. She runs and Nikki falls out of the jungle into the Ping Pong game.
Nikki- "Paralyzed."
At their graves, Sawyer and Hurley are shoveling dirt onto the bodies. Nikki and Paulo’s EYES OPEN!! The men continue cover the bodies!

In a strip club we’re introduced to sexy pole dancing Nikki. She begins her dance on stage 3; in a white coat and hat. She is the 'Pride of St. Paul', Corvette. She strips down to her diamond bikini. From her pole she keeps her eye on a man who heads into a back office.
In the office that man opens a suitcase filled with cash.
Corvette says "That's the money for the orphanage. Which means Mr. LaShade, you're the Cobra." {LaShade,Shady}
The Cobra turns around from his 2 video monitors and says "Sorry baby. It's just business."
Corvette realizes, "All this time it was you."
He has to eliminate her. She karate chops a thug, says her catch phrase, "Razzle Dazzle."
The Cobra shoots her 2x anyway. {1 of the pics on the wall looks similar to the one on the Girls of Fiji magazine from Sawyers stash!!}
Cobra fires 1 more shot into her. Autumn and Crystal run in.
Cobra-"Bad news. Corvette was working for the Cobra. But fear not, he will pay."
This was the last shot filmed for the TV show, EXPOSE.
"CUT."
Billy Dee Williams gives Nikki a hand up. {Note: silver platter} She walks through the sound stage. This was a series wrap on Corvette.{Note the sign says EXPOSE. Season 4}
Howard tells her, "You know you don't need to die. We can bring you back next season."
She only had a guest starring role but they could have her come back. He suggests Corvette could have been wearing a bullet proof vest...Bullet proof breast. Her work is done there, but she will not be leaving Sydney, "I love you."
He loves her too.
Hurley and Sawyer play Ping Pong.
Hurley wins, "Best out of 5."
Sawyer-"Now we're going best out of 7."
Nikki falls out of the jungle; collapses and the guys run over to her. Nikki in her lack of breath says something but they can't make out what she said. Sawyer tells Hurley to get some water; Get help. Sawyer gets up to look into the jungle to see if anything else is going on. Hurley never got up to get the water.
Sawyer- "What are you doing? Get moving!"
Hurley-"Dude. Nikki's dead."
Sawyer-"Who the hell's Nikki?"

Nikki and Howard are eating breakfast frittatas prepared by his new chef Paulo. {Note: crystal knick knack on the table.} Howard introduces Paulo to his new fan, Nikki. She compliments his cooking.
Paulo feels "The secret is the shaved truffles. Lucky for you they're in season." {Paulo white uniform, black shoes.} Paulo showed up at Howard's door every day until he would hire him.
Howard- "He is the Wolfgang Puck of Brazil."
Howard presents Nikki with the bread basket, "Here try one of these homemade rolls." He gives her a diamond bracelet that was hidden in the basket.
Nikki- "It's beautiful." {Nikki's black nails}
Howard tells her he realizes it's not a ring, not yet, "But when my wife..." He stops right there as he's having a heart attack.
Nikki calls out for Paulo. He checks Howard's pulse and declares "He's gone."
Nikki doesn't waste a second; she rips the key from around his neck. Annoyed Nikki tells Paulo, "I would have loved it if you could have figured out a way where I didn't have to eat the same food as him."
They head into the closet to open the safe.
Paulo questions, "So, nobody else knows about this thing?"
Nikki- "Everything in here is way off the books."
She removes a panel with neckties to reveal the safe. Paulo wants to light up a cigarette but she reminds him that they don't want to leave any evidence behind. "We poisoned him Paulo. Let’s not poison ourselves."
Once inside the safe she recovers a Matryoshka doll and proudly says “Razzle Freakin Dazzle"
Hurley, Sawyer, Charlie, Jin and Sun sit around Nikki's body. They’re trying to figure out what happened to her. Hurley tells them she has no gunshot wound, no knife wound, no polar bear bite. {These are the fatal injuries he mentions!}
Sun wonders, "Maybe it was something she ate?"
Charlie-"Maybe she was poisoned?"
Sun suggests checking the food supply to see if anyone else is sick. Charlie wearing the big cross on his chest shirt; checks Nikki's nails; she has gunk under her finger nails.
Charlie asks Sawyer where he found her. {Sawyer's reaction was of "Oh yeah. That makes sense"}
But he tells Charlie –"Right here. She stumbled out of the jungle, face planted, said something like ply wood, and then, sayonara."
Hurley thinks she said “Power lines.”
Sawyer doesn't know what she said, "She was 5 seconds from dying. She probably seeing the light at the end of the tunnel."
"Paulo lies!"
Hurley feels confident that she said "Paulo lies."
He tells Sawyer, "That's her husband or boyfriend or whatever. They live down the beach."
Sawyer wants to know where he is because if he lies, "That might be a good place to start."

In the airport Paulo reads the newspaper aloud to Nikki about the death of English ex pat Howard L. Zuckerman. Headline- Famed Tube Tycoon Dies Of Heart attack. He was the creative force behind hit shows like EXPOSE, STRIKE TEAM ALPHA, and DOCTOR KINCAIDE, ESQUIRE. {2 glasses champagne.} They are pleased they have gotten away with murder.
Paulo is chewing nicotine gum because he quit smoking. {Quit smoking! Paulo wearing is Brazil Sweatshirt/jacket. Opens an EXPOSE script bag to get gum. Brazilian passport. Nesting doll} They toast their new life together.
Shannon and her step Brother Boone make their way through the airport. Shannon is complaining about there being no place to sit. Boone offers her a chair from the restaurant. Pissed off Shannon says, "Good call Boone. Let's just leave. You already screwed us out of seats in first class, why would you be able to find them here?" {By the way, I see Dustin Watchman walking by. Hi Dustin!}
Boone asks permission from Nikki and Paulo for one of their chairs, they say yes.
Shannon has a fit and accuses Boone of flirting with random guys, and walks away.
On the beach Shannon is screaming for Boone! It's the day of the 'Crash'.
Nikki is searching the site for Paulo/bag. We see many familiar and similar images from 'Crash' day; Jin, Jack with Claire, Boone trying to revive Rose, Locke, {whom has contact with Nikki in this version}
Explosions and Nikki's meeting with Arzt.
Arzt is heard asking, "Are we alive? Did we survive? Look at me. Am I okay? Am I okay?" {Apparently he doesn't know the answer to this trick question.}
Boone asks Nikki if she has a pen.
Boone obviously on a quest asks, "Does anybody have a pen?"
Nikki sees Paulo staring out at the water. Her first question to him is, "Where's the bag?"
In the jungle Paulo lays on the ground with his eyes open. Sawyer tells Hurley,”This is the trail."
Hurley asks him what he knows about tracking. {Damn if you’re around someone long enough or often enough, you’re bound to eventually pick it up!}
Jin, Sawyer and Hurley find Paulo.
He's just like Nikki; no wound. Jin says something to Hurley in Korean, trying to show him something and Hurley seems to understand him and replies back.
Sawyer finds a right sneaker in a tree and Paulo's pants are undone.
Sawyer- "Maybe he stepped on something."
Jin looks through the back pack. Sawyers peers into the jungle; he doesn't admit he sees anything to Hurley.
Jin opens Paulo's water bottle and cautious Sawyer runs over tells him, "NO!" and pours it out. Hurley freaks because that's evidence!
Sawyer- "Two people are dead. Did you ever think they might have been poisoned?"
Hurley feels Sawyer's messing up the crime scene.
Sawyer- "Crime scene? There a forensics hatch I don't know about?" {Yes Sawyer. More hatches.}
Jin tells him to stop, "Monster."

Nikki and Paulo are fiddling with a pile of suitcases; they're talking about the monster.
Nikki says {as did Danielle} there’s no such thing as monsters. Apparently she's told him this many times. Paulo wonders if it was a dinosaur.
Nikki- "It's not Jurassic Park, Paulo. It's the South Pacific." {Well maybe it Jurassic Park!} He asks her what it was after all she saw the trees move. She doesn't care; she wants him to start focusing! They've been there for 6 days, the coast guard is going to get there any second, and she just wants the script bag.
Ethan asks them if they lost their luggage. He found some stuff, pants or a sweatshirt; he can help them find some that fit. {WTF? And yes, he's wearing the Wisconsin sweatshirt. Is he the wardrobe master?}
Nikki share with Ethan that Paulo lost his nicotine gum. Ethan cleverly and conveniently points them inland where they may have more luck. He explains the plane split apart so some of the stuff may have rained down in there. Paulo doesn't want to go into the jungle.
Arzt the 'town crier' tells everyone,”Boone! Boone took the water."
We witness Jack's Live Together, Die Alone speech, again.
Remember, he found water in the valley.
At Nikki's body:
Hurley, Jin and Sawyer carry Paulo's body to the cemetery; Hurley announces he's with Jin on the "Monster".
Sawyer comments sarcastically, "Yeah. Because that makes the most sense."
Hurley-"Locke said when Eko died his last words were, you’re next. And Nikki and Paulo were with them. He was talking about them."
Sawyer tells him he wasn't saying that about them. He was saying it as in 'You're all next.' The way Sawyer sees it they need to "find out whatever we can about these Jabonies...Nina and Pablo."
Hurley tells him to show respect; he knows their names.
Sawyer- "Whatever Hugo."
They head off to their tent; they better get some shovels too. The 2 bodies are left there uncovered, staring at the sky. {Damn, dry eyes! Visine, anyone?!}

Nikki is going to flirt her way in her “red top” to get info from Dr.Arzt. He has built himself a fucking LAB; complete with a shit load of peanut butter jars and containers! He's studying millipedes or centipedes and all kinds of creepy crawlies.
Nikki- "You're a scientist
Arzt proudly replies, "And and educator."
Since they got there HE discovered 20 new species, "I'm gonna be the next Charles Darwin."
Nikki picks up a blue topped jar that's holding the very dangerous Latrodectus Regina, Medusa Spider! {Oooooh-aaaaahhh} Her pheromones are very strong; one whiff and every male of the species would be there in seconds. {Is this one of his discoveries? There's no such thing as a Medusa Spider as far as we know. Is this an 'Island' discovery? He says "They call it the Medusa Spider." And if it's so dangerous, shouldn't it be in a jar with a RED top?! LOL}
Nikki asks him to explain trajectories so she can figure out where her luggage may have landed. He adjusts his handsome necktie obviously honored she asked him for help. He is going to draw a map. {Of course!}
Nikki and Paulo trek out into the jungle using a Jr. High school teachers hand drawn map. Nikki accuses Paulo of being jealous of Leslie.
Sarcastic Nikki says, "His spiders turn me on… I had to sleep with him."
Paulo brings up that she slept with Zuckerman, but Nikki reminds him she did that for "Us."
Paulo apologizes to her, "I don't trust that guy. We should have gone to Ethan. He would have helped."
Nikki points out the drug plane that's hanging off the cliff.
Paulo-"Another plane. Looks like it's been here a while."
She tries to get him to go up there, "Maybe there's a radio or something."
Paulo-"Are you insane. If I go up there, that thing's gonna fall."
{Paulo knows it's gonna fall. Boone and Locke didn't?! Where is the common sense?}
She tells him he's not gonna fall.
Paulo asks her if she wants him to die. "Come on. Let’s keep moving."
Nikki now points out the hatch that in the ground. {She's 2 for 2!} Paulo uses a rock to help open it; he wants to go check it out.
Nikk-"So, our carry on bag fell from the sky, opened a man hole, crawled inside, closed the doors behind itself? You don't' wanna climb up to a plane, but you wanna climb down a ladder into a dark tunnel. I don't think so."
Sawyer rummages through Nikki and Paulo stuff. Hurley tells him to be careful.
Sawyer- "Why? They don't live here anymore."
Charlie informs them Sun checked the food, "They're eating the same as us and no one else is sick. Could be a virus."
Hurley-"Dude. Monster." {Very interesting! Hmmmm}
Arzt's bug collection is in Nikki and Paulo’s tent. Butterflies {morphing bug}.
Charlie-"He collected all kinds of creepy crawlies before he exploded.
Hurley- "They must have been friends." {Very interesting. Hmmm?}
Charlie finds Nikki's EXPOSE script. Hurley claims it's only the most awesome hour of TV, ever! He flips through the pages very excited! It's like Baywatch, only better.
Hurley explains-"It's about Autumn and Crystal, two strippers that solve crimes with the help of their suave, smooth talking club owner, Mr. LaShade." {IMPORTANT NOTE- Hurley shows the cast list. Nikki is mentioned, but so is RICK LAPIDUS! Could that be a relative of Frank Lapidus? His name came up in find815!} Her big break must have been in Australia. Hurley reads the reveal that Mr. LaShade is the Cobra. The Cobra is this big bad guy; his identity has been shrouded in mystery for 4 seasons! Sawyer finds a walkie talkie, the same ones the Others use. Sawyer says they must have been working with the Others.

Shannon, Kate and Arzt are on the beach.
Artz-"Excuse me. Are you my mother? Because she knows what's best for me. Other than that, I decide."
Nikki {L.A. shirt} and Paulo ask the group what's going on.
Shannon tells her, "Kate and her two boyfriends found a case of guns that fell out of the plane. They decided they didn't really need to tell the camp."
Kate says the case is locked and the key is around Jack's neck; they're safe.
Artz tells Kate, "You're all out of control. The pigs are walking. Huh. The pigs are walking!" {Animal farm} Nikki wants to know where they found the case.
Nikki wants Paulo to dive in the water and find the script bag. She calls him a wuss.
She is manipulating him, "As you had no trouble reminding me I slept with Howie Zuckerman so the least you can do is go for a swim and Kate said they found the case on the bottom.”
Paulo asks her if she didn't need him so bad to get the bag, would they still be together.
Nikki tells him that bag is worth 8 Million Dollars, "Just dive in, Paulo."{Paulo, there's your answer} He dives in and passes the two bodies that are still in the seats and he sees the bag wedged between rocks. He returns to the surface but lies to Nikki telling her there was no bag.
Nikki-"There's nothing down there?"
Just dead bodies. {She is carrying a bag} He dives under.
The staring and still bodies of Nikki and Paulo at the graves:
Charlie, Jin, Sun and Hurley wonder if they were working with the Others. How?
Sawyer-"Like Michael."
The Others could be out there waiting to "get us."
Hurley tells him very nonchalant that he was with the Others two weeks ago. They're on the total other side of the island." Then who dragged Sun into the jungle?
Sun-"The Others came into our camp. They grabbed me; put a bag over my head. And if I hadn't gotten away, they would have killed me."
Sawyer has a gun and he offers to go see if "I can see any sign of them. I'll do a perimeter sweep." Sawyer says he got the gun off one of 'them' and he was gonna let the camp know about the gun, “Right Now."
Hurley asks what a perimeter sweep is.
Charlie asks Sun if they should "Cover them up?" Yes.

Paulo is on the beach at night with the script bag. He pops two pieces of Nicotine gum. {It's been 32 days! Does he still need the nicotine gum that badly?} He starts digging a hole.
Locke happens upon him and say, "Nice night."
Paulo hides the nesting dolls behind him and says he's doing nothing.
Locke says it looks like he's digging a hole, "Every man's entitled to his secrets Paulo, but can I give you a piece of advice?...You should put the shovel away and save yourself some trouble...Things don't stay buried on this island. The beach is eroding. Winter's coming. High tide. Whatever it is your hiding, make sure you pick a spot that won't wash away. See you back at camp."
Paulo climbs down the ladder into the Pearl Station. {Has a flashlight} He hides the nesting dolls in the toilet tank that's filled with water. {Number 22}
A voice is heard asking, "Who left this open?"
It's Ben and Juliet dressed in 'Others' garb with no shoes.
Juliet tells Ben that Tom was down here a couple of days ago. We hear Ben reply to her, "Have him cover it with a plank."
Paulo, hiding, shuts the bathrooms pocket door and watches them through the crack.
Ben tunes monitor 5 and we see Jack in the Swan hatch. Juliet remarks that's Shepherd; he's cute. Ben and Juliet have the 'surgery' conversation. Ben feels he can convince him to do the surgery, "The same way I get anybody to do anything. I find out what he's emotionally invested in, and I exploit it.” {Hmmm…Like taking Walt from Michael, maybe?}
Juliet- "We just grab all three of them? Ford and Austen too?"
No.Ben says they need to "Come to us." They're going to do that, using Michael of course.
Juliet- "This place gives me the creeps."
And they leave.
Paulo takes the walkie they left behind.{With all the camera's everywhere, wouldn't they know where everyone was wandering about to and from?!}
Hurley tells Desmond about Nikki and Paulo. He wants Des to use his psychic powers to see what happened. Of course he can't because it conveniently doesn't work like that. He only sees Flashes. {Yeah, so does everybody else!}
Hurley- "As far as superpowers go, yours is kind of lame.”
Desmond says he saw her with his mate this morning, "Your boy Sawyer."
Nikki was yelling at him, right before she died. {At this point it seems like Des's 'power' really only works when he knows it can get him closer to Penny. Manipulating Charlie gets him closer to Penny.}
Vincent {No collar} is sniffing around the blanket covered bodies of Nikki and Paulo.
Hurley-"Vincent! Dude!" The dog pulls the blankets off of them.
Charlie feels that Des seeing Sawyer and Nikki fighting doesn't prove anything. Hurley wonders why Sawyer is gung-ho about investigating this.
Sun states Sawyer's not a murderer, "He went all the way across the island to help Michael."
Sun insists it's the Others. Charlie comes clean about Sun's abduction. He tells her it was he who took her not the Others. After Locke hit him he just wasn't himself. Sawyer told him he could get even by helping steal the guns so they just made it look like the Others, "I didn't mean to hurt you." She walks away. Charlie is sorry.

Locke asks the group at the beach kitchen/pantry who wants to go to the Pearl Station. The computer there could help find "Our people." Nikki wants to go.
Inside the Pearl Station we see the gang talking about the monitors.
Paulo is in the bathroom retrieving the nesting dolls from the toilet tank.
We can hear Dr. Mark Wickmund's voice coming from the video.
Nikki talks about connecting to other hatches, etc.. Paulo opens all the nesting dolls to get to the little pouch; he hides the pouch down his pants. He throws the pieces of the nesting dolls back into the tank; flushes the toilet to complete the illusion he actually used the toilet.
Sawyer returns to the graves and the Losties. Hurley demands the gun from him; it's not even loaded.
Hurley tells him to quit lying, Desmond saw him with Nikki.
Sawyer-"Oh, I see what this is. Villagers got themselves some torches."
Sawyer did not kill them but admits he went at it with Nikki this morning because she wanted a gun. He didn't tell them because of the dirt under her nails. She was digging a hole. He saw a fresh mound of dirt near Paulo; she was burying something. Sawyer explains if you take the time to dig a hole right before you die, then what you're hiding probably pretty damn good. Sawyer throws the pouch of diamonds to Sun. He says he had nothing to do with those two.
12 Hours Ago
Nikki and Paulo sit and look out toward the water. Thanksgiving was 2 weeks ago and they missed it. They're gonna miss everything.
Paulo says they're going to find us, “We'll get rescued.”
She's surprised by his optimism. Paulo tells her it's how you look at things, "Like the bag. Maybe not finding it was good for us." Finding it may have torn them apart. He's going to go get them some breakfast. When he gets up, there's his nicotine gum!
Upset Nikki tells Sawyer she wants a gun. He's sitting reading a book, glasses on. "I don't have the guns. The A team took em all."
She knows he kept guns for himself.
Sawyer still wouldn't give her one, "Judging by the fire you're breathing, I got a feeling no good would come of it."
Nikki demands, "Sawyer. Give me a gun."
Des watches all of this.
Sawyer tells her to cool herself off, "And who the hell are you?"
Sawyer at Nikki's grave whispers,”Thanks for nothing" and closes her eyes. {What's he thanking her for?!}
As Sawyer digs a grave, Sun comes over and tells him Charlie told her everything.
Sawyer asks if she'll tell Jin.
Sun-"No...Because then we'd have to dig another grave." {Sawyer has no shirt on! YEAH!} Sun gives him the pouch of diamonds because they are worthless here. She slaps him.
At the graveside service for the two, Hurley does the talking,”We didn't know you very well. And it appears; you killed each other for diamonds. But I know there are good parts to you too. {Check out Sawyer here.} You were always nice to me. And you were a member of the camp. And, I really loved EXPOSE."
Good bye.
Sawyer takes the diamonds out of the pouch and pours them over their bodies, "Rest in peace Nikki and Paulo."

Nikki leads Paulo into the jungle because she has a surprise! She found the diamonds, right here! She knows he has them but he says he doesn't. To prove it she shows him the nicotine gum. She takes out the peanut butter jar with the Medusa Spider and throws the spider at him.
She gives him a spider lesson. They call it the Medusa Spider because one look from Medusa would turn anyone into stone. One bite from this spider will paralyze you for 8 hours. It won't kill you. Only slow your heart rate down to the point even a doctor would have a hard time hearing it beat.
Paulo falls to the ground and becomes paralyzed; it bit him on the neck.
Nikki searches his body, throws the shoe that land in the tree, and finds the diamonds down his pants.
Paulo says he's sorry, he was afraid of losing her. If they “found the diamonds then you wouldn't need me anymore."
The smoke monster sounds!! Then lots of spiders arrive; one bites Nikki’s leg. Knowing what is to come from the bite she runs to bury the diamonds before paralysis kicks in. She runs and Nikki falls out of the jungle into the Ping Pong game.
Nikki- "Paralyzed."

Let's talk about LOST! The Man from Tallahassee.
"Name."
A form is being filled out at a Government Disabilities Office.
Johnathan Locke sits speaking with his case worker.
He states his name as "John Locke", he is single, and he doesn't have a girlfriend. {The form shows-Johnathan Locke 168 San Juan St. 201 Tustin}
The case worker asks him if his parents are living, to which he replies, "I was raised in foster care. I never really knew my parents."
She asked if he ever thought about seeking out his biological parents.
John- "I don't see how that's relevant."
She tells him it's relevant "Mr. Locke, because if the government is going to continue to pay your disability insurance, I have to figure out whether or not your condition has improved." {Yeah, still, how is the question relevant?}
She asks him how his appetite is.
He says it's fine. She notes he stopped submitting his therapy bills for reimbursement; he stopped going because it's "Waste of time."
She stamps his file with 'Benefits Suspended' in red and explains it's just a temporary suspension and that benefits will start again when he resumes his sessions; then he can re-apply.
He asks her if she thinks he's temporarily disabled.
She says-“Depression can be temporary, yes. And since you see fit to stop going to therapy I guess your all better."
John-"I guess I am."
She calls "Next."
John walks out of the office. {Note file boxes along the wall, things of red that stand out. Coffeecup, red handbag hanging on the cubby wall, pens, pencils, etc.}
Locke with his gun ready, Kate and Sayid in hiding, watching Jack play football in the yard with Tom.
Danielle walks away from the trio.
You hear a door open, and Juliet calls out to "Jack". She is happy to see him. They toss the ball around.
Kate informs the guys, "She's the one who helped me and Sawyer escape." {Juliet whisper-It's gonna be tomorrow}
Sayid realizes that Danielle is not there with them. Kate lets John know that Danielle's gone, but he's focused on the barracks.
Juliet and Jack seem very comfy cozy with each other.
John, Kate and Sayid observe Juliet knock on a door. John looks through binoculars
for a closer look. Juliet wheels out convalescing Ben in a wheelchair. They watch Jack speak with Ben and then they shake hands.
John-"This is going to be more complicated than we thought."
Kate loads her rifle; she's pissed! She tells Sayid, "We came here to rescue Jack, and that’s what we're gonna do."
Sayid-"Obviously the circumstances have changed. He may not want to be rescued."
Kate-"That is NOT Him, that’s not Jack! They must have done something to him. When they captured us they drugged us."
Sayid remarks he didn't appear to be drugged.
Kate-"They kidnapped him, held him prisoner, he wouldn't just forget that!"
Sayid agrees, but until they know why, they're putting their lives at risk.
Kate-"I'm not leaving him!"
Sayid feels they may not have a choice
Locke-"It's Jack. The first time I saw he was risking his life pulling people out of burning air plane wreckage. He's shaking hands with the others I'm sure he's got a good reason. We just have to go down there and find out what it is."
Locke suggests they wait till its dark and approach Jack when he's alone. "And if he wants out, we get him out."
{Flash}
John is in his room/home playing with his food. He is watching EXPOSE on TV. {The show talking about the cobra. Character, Autumn says 'I can't find him' then something about winged victory. Locke's food tray is FILLED with symbols from the "island" coffee pot, sailboat, arrow, circle w/dot in the middle, sheriff star/badge, cowboy boot, keyhole, circle w/2 lines, kite, something that looks like 7UP}
His drinking glass has fruit design. There is two knocks at the door. John opens the door and points out that he has a sign 'No Soliciting' in red.
The young man's name is Peter Talbot and he needs to speak with him.Peter thinks his mother may be in some trouble.
John-"You've got the wrong John Locke."
Peter asks how many kidneys he has.
John makes instant coffee {YUK! 1 dark mug. 1 light mug. His room has red flashlight, map, red thermos, Picture of flags, framed patches, Chinese food containers, radio.}
Peter tells John about his mother meeting a man two months ago; Love at first sight and the man's name is Adam Seward, a retired computer entrepreneur from Ontario. He said that Adam had something special that his mother went gaga for right out of the gate, so she agrees to marry the guy. Something in Peter's gut said "he's after something" so he had to check him out. {In the distance you hear an alarm/siren.}
Peter feels this has to do with Locke because he donated 1 of his kidneys to Seward. Only his name was different back then. It used to be Anthony Cooper.
Peter shows Locke a picture of Seward and his mother. All Peter could find were his medical records. {Wow! Different names and this guy finds Locke via medical records! Come on!}
Peter figures if someone gave the guys their kidney how bad could he be? "Right?"
Locke tells Peter he was an anonymous donor; he never met him.
Locke's sorry, "I can't help you."
Locke is looking through binoculars. He, Kate and Sayid are watching. Juliet has walked Jack home. {Where is Danielle ALL this time?}
Locke-"Sayid you guard the front. I'll go around and cover the back. You head in through the side door."
Kate is surprised she's going in alone. Locke feels it's better if she's the first one he sees. They put their plan into action.
Kate heads in a side door. She hears someone playing piano. She peeks around the corner and sees it is Jack playing. {4 candles/cups on top} Jack turns around and sees her. {Picture of the island} He asks her what she's doing here. She informs him she came to get him.
Jack tells her to get out, "Go! Now! They're watching me!"
Kate's not leaving him. She notes the camera too late as the door gets broken in and the Others take over. Jack tells them not to hurt her.
Ryan-"Step back Doc."
As they have Kate on the ground. Sayid is caught and brought in too.
Ryan- "Who else is with you?"
Jack is just standing there.
Kate-"It was just us."
Ben is sleeping.
He wakes up. His window is open and so is the closet door. He raises his hospital bed up. He thinks someone is there.
Ben-"Alex?"
He turns his light on. Locke is there with his gun drawn.
John-"Shhhh. Keep your voice down."
{Ben's room is filled with countless books, Tribal/ancient masks and a big picture of the stars/constellations/skies and a picture of island.}
Ben says he can tell him where Jack is.
John- "I'm not looking for Jack. I'm looking for the submarine."
Ben is not sure what John means.
John-"The one you use to travel to and from the island. The one your man Mikhail told me about before I killed him."
Ben doesn't flinch!
Alex calls out "Dad? Who are you talking to?"
Ben- "Alex don't come in here."
John opens the bedroom door and there's a knock on the house door so John grabs Alex!
From outside the house door we hear Tom, "Ben. Are you awake?"
John hides with Alex in the closet. {Ben always keeps his cool}
Tom comes in to tell Ben about Austen and Jarrah, "They're here. Somehow they found us... We captured them. We're holding them over at my place."{Everybody has a place!}
Tom offers to help Ben get out of bed.
Ben instructs Tom to separate them, and he wants to know how they found "us."
Tom- "What about Juliet and Shephard, tomorrow morn..."
Ben says to let him worry about that. All the while John is watching them.
Ben tells Richard, "I want you to bring me the man from Tallahassee."
Richard-"What do you need him for?"
Ben tells him to just bring him. {Him, a real person?}
Richard leaves and John comes out of the closet. "The man from Tallahassee? What is that? Is that some kind of code?"
Ben tells him unfortunately they don't have a code for '"there's a man in my closet with a gun to my daughters head. Although we obviously should." {Rock on Ben!}
John tells Ben that Sayid had a pack with him and he wants it. Alex will go and retrieve it. Ben informs John that his daughter currently hates him, so holding him hostage may not be his best option. Alex will go get John's bag.
{Flash}
A door to shop opens and we see John enters the flower shop. He tries to blend in to the shop without much notice. Adam Seward is there with his intended; they are picking out centerpieces for the tables.
Adam/Anthony sees John. {Gee. What kind of flowers can we spot? Hmm?...I love flowers!} The sign says the name of the shop is the Tustin Ranch Florist. {I love how red always jumps out at us!}
Adam says hello.
John-"Is it gonna be a big to-do. Or just two of you and a preacher? I guess you couldn't invite me, huh? That would make for awkward introductions."
Adam/Anthony- "How did you even know?"
John explains he knows because her son came to me and asked why I gave you a kidney. He's on to you. But he doesn't have any proof. So he came to me hoping I would vouch for you."
John-"You're conning her, aren't ya? You’re gonna marry her for her money. Right?"
Anthony asks John what he wants. {NOTE: All of a sudden they are in front of the red flowers that are seen on the island!}
John wants him to end it with her, "You make people think that you're their family and then you leave their life in ruins. And I am not going to let you do it again."
John demands he call off the engagement or he will tell her the truth! John also demands that Anthony leave.
Anthony-"Okay. You got it."
John sits casually with his foot up at the end of Ben's hospital bed; he has his gun. Ben pulls himself up to adjust himself. He asks John if he would help him get into his 'chair', "No tricks. I promise. I just want some dignity."
Ben goes on to say that John of all people should understand what it means to want some dignity. John gets up and gets the wheelchair.
Ben wonders how he expects John to pilot "our" submarine. "I mean, it's a complicated piece of machinery. You don't just press submerge." {Yes you do.}
John will figure something out, "For all you know, I was a commander in the Navy."
Ben-"What's in the pack, John? If you met Mikhail that means you were in the communications station. Which means you found the explosives."
John doesn't say anything.
Ben-"So you're not planning to pilot the submarine anywhere, are you? You're planning to destroy it."
John doesn't respond at all; no reaction.
Ben-"I know you John Locke."
John-"You don't know me at all."
Ben-"I know you were born in California. I know you were raised in foster care. I know you wasted a big part of your life in Tustin pushing papers that manufactured industrial boxes. I know you spent the four years prior to your arrival on this island in a wheelchair. And I know how you ended up in it. Tell me John. Did it hurt?"
John-"I felt my back break. What do you think?"
Kate is cuffed in the game room.
She is trying to get out of the cuffs; she attempts this while on a pool table.
Tom opens the door and nicely says, "I didn't think I'd see you again so soon, Kate." He also speaks to someone out of view, "Be careful in here."
Tom motions to his "ears/hearing" to Jack {being bugged/watched -or to listen}. He lets Jack in to see her. {Note all the games and the black and white check table cloth} Jack pulls up a folding chair keeping distance from her. They both establish they haven’t been hurt by "them".
Kate looks around the room and asks, "What is all this?"
Jack-"This is where they live." {In a game room?!}
Jack lets her know that the people they took, the kids, their all safe.
Kate wonders if he's with 'them' now.
Jack is quiet- "I'm not with anyone, Kate."
She walks over to him and asks, "Why are you acting like this?"
Jack- "There's no wa...Yu...There's no way I could..."
Kate tells him she came back to help him.
Jack- "I told you NOT to come back here for me!"
Kate didn't think he meant it. They both start to get mushy and teary eyed. Kate walks over and touches his hand with her cuffed hand. Kate kneeling down in front of him, "What did they do to you, Jack?"
Jack-"I made a deal with them. They're gonna let me go.”
Kate-"Where?"
Jack-"Home...First thing in morning. I can bring back help. It's our best chance."
Kate feels he can't trust these people; they are liars. Jack trusts them because she told him to, when she asked him to save Sawyer's life.
Kate gets curious, "What did they tell you?"
The door opens, it's Juliet telling Jack they need to go. Jack tells Kate he wishes she hadn't come back there for him.
He whispers in Kate's ear, "But I will come back here for you."
Jack leaves the game room.
{Flash}
John pulls up in his red Volkswagen beetle to his apartment. He was a bag of cleaning supplies. Two detectives meet him. Detective Mason and Detective Reed questions him about knowing Peter Talbot. John lies and says he doesn't know him. They remind him Peter was in his apartment two days ago. John says he was a solicitor.
The Talbot family is worth somewhere in the neighborhood of $200 million. Locke's name and address was in his pocket.
Peter Talbot is dead.
John peeks out Ben's window. {Red curtains}
Ben tells him, "It wasn't easy being in that hatch with you all that time. Knowing you had no business walking around. Knowing I couldn't even ask you about it without telling you who I really was."
John-"So ask me now. Now that I know who you really are."
John closes the curtains.
Ben excitedly wheels himself over to John, "Was it immediate? It started the moment you got here?"
John says 'yes' as he's looking at items/books in the room, "You're wondering why it hasn't happened for you. You're not recovering as fast as you'd like. How long it's been since Jack fixed you? A week? Now that I think about it, how’d you get sick in the first place?"
Ben asks him if he's afraid it will go away, "Is that why you want to destroy the submarine? Cause you know if you ever leave this island you'll be back in the chair?"
Locke picks up Ben's Harry Potter glasses and peeks through them and asks "You got anything to eat?"
Sayid is cuffed to the swing set in the playground. {The cuffs against red. The swings are fenced in.}
Alex comes to retrieve the pack from Sayid. {Convenient the Others didn't take the pack from their prisoner! Pack- like a pack of dogs.}
Ryan is standing guard and drinking coffee tells her to "Go home kid. You know you're not supposed to be here."
Alex-"My father sent me to get his pack."
He gives her the pack {Complete with Eko's stick}
Sayid- "You're Alex, aren't you?"
He mentions "You look like your mother."
Alex says her mother is dead.
Sayid- "I'm sure that's what they told you."
Ryan hits Sayid and tells him to keep his mouth shut. {Sayid's watch says 6: something}
John wheels Ben into the living area of his house. {There are artifacts, tribal masks, statues, artwork, books and pictures. Book ‘A brief history of time’, a painting of a woman, family pictures, large vases/vessels and a Ganesha}
Ben turns on the lights and John asks where they get electricity.
Ben- "We have 2 giant hamsters running in a massive wheel in our secret underground lair/lab."
Ben lets John have leftovers to eat. Locke checks out the eats. {Dharma onions, canned pork, beer. Fresh orange juice, milk, tomatoes, watermelon, chicken on a red plate}
Ben has a cute White and Red kitchen. {Note Red coffee pot and the butterfly encased in glass.}
Ben looks near picture of Alex. {Clock says 3:25. It's hard to see exact}
Ben tells John he already ate most of the dark meat. John now appreciates chicken.
Ben- "I know you think you need to do this John, but if you blow up my submarine I have a big problem with my people." {Big Shit}
Ben continues, "I was born on this Island. Not many of my people can say that. Most of them were recruited and brought here. And as much as they love this place, as much as they'd do anything to defend it, they need to know they can leave if they want to. The sub maintains that illusion."
John-"So you're lying to them."
Ben-"No! There here because they want to be here. Some of them are just not ready to make a full commitment yet. {Commitment to what?!} But you John, you've already made that commitment. And now you have a choice. Because if you stop and if you think, I can show you things. Things I know you want to see very badly. Let me put it so you'll understand. Picture a box. You know something about boxes, don't you John? What if I told you that somewhere on this Island, there's a very large box, and whatever you imagined, whatever you wanted to be in it, when you opened that box, there it would be. What would you say about that, John?"
John helps himself to a glass of water and tells him he hopes "That box is big enough to imagine yourself up a new submarine."
John is angry because Ben's cheating, "You and your people- communicate with the outside world whenever you want to, you come and go as you please, you use electricity and running water and guns. You're a hypocrite. A Pharisee. You don't deserve to be on this island. If you had any idea what this place really was, you wouldn't be putting chicken in your refrigerator!"
Ben reminds John he's only been there for 80 days; Ben's been there his entire life! "So how is it you think you know this Island better that I do?"
John-"Because you're in the wheelchair and I'm not."
John peeks out Ben's window. {On Ben's desk, more butterflies encased in glass and an old land line telephone} Alex comes in it's 12:35 a few seconds later it's 4:12 a few seconds or so. {What's that about?}
John takes his pack. He tells Ben how its gonna work; Alex is going to take him to the sub. Once they're there he'll let her go. Ben offers to take him so Alex doesn't have to.
Ben reveals that he and Jack made a deal. In less than an hour "he's leaving this island on that submarine and it's a one way ticket. The anomaly wiped out our communications, we have no way of contacting the outside world. Which means when that sub leaves it can never come back. So whether you destroy the submarine or whether you let it go, the end result is the same. No one will find this Island."
John leaves with Alex.
Alex tells John, "You know he's manipulating you, right?" That's what her father does. He manipulates people. He makes you think it's your idea, but it's his {Now, There's an answer!} John will keep that in mind.
Alex directs John, "The submarine is down there at the end of the dock."
He lets her go. Danielle happens to be nearby hiding in the bushes and she is crying.
John opens the hatch to the submarine. {Red lighting} He goes in.
Ben puts the leftover chicken back in the fridge. Jack comes in as he needs to ask Ben for one last favor; Juliet is with him {Isn't it the friggin middle of the night? Yummy bananas.}
Ben- "You don't knock?"
That amuses Juliet.
Jack needs him to let his friends go, "After I'm gone."
Ben-"And if I said no would that stop you from leaving?"
Jack says of course it would.
Ben knows Jacks friends are only there to rescue him. "But you seem to be doing a good job of rescuing yourself. I suppose there's no reason to keep them here."
Jack asks him if he has his word on that. They shake hands, "You have my word. I'll let them go just as soon as you've left the Island."
Ben and Juliet share a moment of 'goodbye'.
Juliet thanks him for keeping his promise. {Time on clock? And WHAT PROMISE?}
Jack and Juliet leave. {Ben's expression here!}
John is soaking wet, walking down the dock; no pack.
Juliet and Jack get escorted by guards down by the dock.
They connect with John. The guards pull guns on John; make him "Get down!"
John puts his hands up in surrender. {Tom and his facial expressions! He always looks so surprised at people's behavior! I crack up!}
Jack asks John what he's doing there.
John-"I'm sorry, Jack."
BOOM!! {There's Toms face again!}
{Flash}
There's banging/knocking on the door.
John is at Anthony's fancy apartment. {Not a house}
John comes in freaking out, "What did you do? Tell me you didn't do it...Tell me that you didn't kill that kid." {Picture of Apollo theater on wall} Of course Anthony plays stupid.
John implies Anthony would kill him because the kid was on to him.
Anthony- "I've been doing this a long time. I'm not sweating some rich kid." {There's a beautiful bottle of MacCutcheons}
John's pissed because he told Anthony to leave. Anthony tells him he didn't end it because he wanted to make some money before he skipped out and then all this happened, "Peter died and everything just went straight into the tank."
{He pours two shots of MacCutcheons} His intended has called off the wedding.
Anthony explains there's no profit in it, "I'm a con man, not a murderer."
She called off the wedding, "She couldn't deal with it..."
So, John suggests if he was to call her that's what she'd say. Dad shows him the phone. John takes the phone asks what's her number.
Dad pushes John out the window!
Badly bruised and injured John lays in a hospital bed. The same two detectives from before tell him the news that his father's gone. He fled to Mexico shortly after their encounter. "He could be anywhere in the world right now."
A physical therapist comes, "Mr. Locke has work to do today."
He has the detectives leave.
Therapist- "John, John, John. We have got ourselves quite a day ahead of us, my friend."
He has opened the blinds on the windows. {He wears red} The therapist is trying to motivate him to get him out of bed.
John is very sad and depressed, broken- "I don't want to."
Therapist-"I don't remember asking."
He brings in a wheelchair and tells John that he'll get used to it.
John feels he can't do this.
The therapist explains he "fell eight stories and survived. I don't want to hear about what you can't do. Let's go."
He lifts John up and out of the bed carries him to the chair. {John expression. It tells us lots! He's in so much emotional pain.} John cries.
John is cuffed to a pipe. He is sleeping standing up. He jolts awake.
Richard wheels Ben in, "Well John, you've really gone and done it now."
John-"You don't have to pretend you’re disappointed anymore. We both know you wanted it to happen. That's why you left the C-4 in Sayid's bag. Because you wanted me to make it happen."
{John's catching on!}
Ben reminds him when earlier John called him a cheater, when he said Ben didn't deserve to live on this Island.
Ben tells him he was thinking of a way to stop Jack from leaving. "Because to let him go would be a sign of weakness, of failure, of defeat. People would see that. They would know it. And that, John would be the end of me. But to kill him, that would be cheating." If his people hear him make a promise and he breaks it that would be the end of him too. Then John came striding out of the jungle, "To make my dream come true."
Yeah, yeah, start talking about the magic box again! Ben's going to show him what came out of it. They lead him down a hallway.
Ben tells John he must have misunderstood him when he asked if it hurt. It's obvious when a person's back smashes into a hard surface after being thrown from a building it's gonna sting a little. {John's trying to work the kinks out of his shoulders}
Ben reveals he wasn't asking him about the physical pain. "I wanted to know what it felt like when your own father tried to kill you. He's the reason you destroyed the submarine, isn't he? You're afraid. You're afraid of him and this is the one place he can never find you. This is the one place he can never get to. Ben makes like he doesn't know how it happened, "But you seem to have some communion with this Island, John, and that makes you very, very important."
Ben tells him in time you'll have a better understanding of things. Ben wants to help him, "Because I'm in a wheelchair and you're not. Are you ready to see?"
Richard uses a key to open the door and reveal a tied and gagged Anthony Cooper to John.
John-"DAD?" {Jack says this line in White Rabbit and Michael sees it on the computer when he thinks he's communicating with Walt.}
The Man from Tallahassee is a Great episode! There's so much to talk about here.
Things to Note…Questions to ask…
* Biological Parentage. John Locke was raised by another. How many of them were raised by someone other than 'natural' parents? Hmm?! How many of them think they have "natural" parents?
* Something going on with DNA, conception, breeding...Creating "Life"".
* Alex. Who are her 'parents' really? I'm not buying Ben/Danielle.
* We talk about twins and things like that…But what about look alike robots? Like in the Terminator movies! Lol. Anything is possible at this point! So...Replicas.
* Mental Health. People in therapy. Depression. Santa Rosa. Mind.
* Yes. We're still keeping our eyes on their 'eyes'!
* How old are people? "Born there"
* Codes. Pirates have codes! Lol!
* Deals. Strategy. Capture.
* Time. Timer.
* John owns a lot of ugly plaid shirts!
* Ben has countless books. How long does it take to acquire that many?
* The 'Submarine' is a complicated piece of machinery. You don't just press submerge. {That's important!}
* Was the blown up "submarine" really the 'submarine' to get back and forth to the "Island"? No. I don't think so.
* Kate and Jack share something for sure. But what? When? What time? What time line? Could they have been a couple at one time? Or will they be in another time.
* There are clues to change of circumstances/season.
* John's accident: Was it real or not? Was John really paralyzed at all? Emotionally he was for sure.
* Again we have an example of someone being led to believe another person to be dead, but they are not!
* All the time difference in Ben's house. I know time must run differently on the island, but this is just friggin crazy. Why do we see a few variations of time in that situation?
* The "Island" is still getting food drops from Dharma. Why? Wouldn't Dharma realize their people have been dead for years?
* I need to make a slide show or video montage of Tom and his dumbfounded facial expressions! Can I get a Hell Yeah?!
* Has John been in a wheelchair before? Will he be again?
* Ben sure does have a lot of tribal masks! Masks represent other faces, other realities. They are also very important in other cultures for 'dance'. Could that be a hint to his interests in the Ancients and Cultures? Age? Or could it be a clue to Ben being the master of disguise. Can Ben change his appearance or identity? Who else can?
* Ben is cheating. CHEATING!
* People speaking persuasively and convincingly. That's a talent!

♦ Tustin Ranch is a community located in the city of Tustin, California in Orange County, California. The Tustin Ranch was formerly a citrus ranch. The Tustin Market Place is on Jamboree Road in the heart of the Ranch. It is also home of the annual running competition in Tustin called Dinosaur Dash.
♦ The name "Tallahassee" is a Muskogean Indian word often translated as "abandoned fields," "old fields" or "old town."
♦ Ganesha: is the elephant head/human body statue on Ben's table. Ganesha overcomes obstacles and is the god of new ventures.
♦ Cobra-Snakes: Known for living in underground lair allies it with the underworld and it associated with the primal waters from which all life was created. The serpent symbol is widespread in the agricultural community where it's used to represent the fertility of the soil.
♦ RISK: is a strategic board game. It was released as La Conquête du Monde (The Conquest of the World), in France. Risk a game for 2-6 players, played on a board depicting a stylized Napoleonic-era political map of the Earth, divided into 42 territories, which are grouped into 6 continents. I was researching sub-words of MacCutcheons, I came across ESCUTCHEONS OF SCIENCE. When I wanted to search a few names within that title, I inadvertently misspelled the name 'Christian' (Shepherd) and came across this- Christiaan Huygens, a Dutch mathematician who patented the first pendulum clock, which greatly increased the accuracy of time measurement. He laid the foundations of mechanics and also worked on astronomy and probability. Alma mater University of Leiden
College of Orange. Huygens achieved note for his arguments that light consisted of waves, which became instrumental in the understanding of wave-particle duality.
Ben is always in control of the game. He never panics or wavers. Every action he has is a strategy for things/game to continue on. He will con and manipulate people and events. But, he has spoken the truth about many things, so we need to listen to him carefully. Ben also seems to have found a way to cheat.
We're led to believe that John was imagining and wanting to see Anthony Cooper the minute he 'looked inside the box/room'? No! That's what Ben was wanting. We did see John sleeping standing up then Ben and Richard come in to get him. Did John have a manipulated Flash/dream/memory about Anthony, orchestrated by Ben? Now Ben can reveal Anthony, making it seem like John wished him there, but maybe he didn't, maybe it was Ben who wished him there. Did Ben contribute to this reunion because he knew John needed to face something, i.e. his father and his past emotional pain.
It seems as if John is finding ways to keep Jack on the "Island" on purpose, almost as if he knows Jack has to stay there for a reason, like...until he finds what he's looking for. Plus I have that whole "two halves of a whole" feeling going on here again with Jack and John. Sometimes I feel like the Castaways' are all aspects of Jack. Weird, I know. Call me crazy!
If there are illusions, tricks and props literally used in making people on the "Island" believe things, then how is anyone, including us, the outside world viewer, supposed to know what is real and what is not/manipulated/fake/staged/Razzle Dazzle! This trickery would include things we see happening with "Flashes" and life on the "Island". We see in the "Flash", imagery that is directly tied into things and events on the "Island". I don't know, maybe I've got it all backwards.
That brings me to the 'underground place'. Who is in this underground place? Could Christian be in there? I'm just asking!!!

Disclaimer: I never claim to know everything about the show and my thoughts by no means make me right! The things I share here are my views and/or opinions. I don't claim to catch every single detail either! You all know I hate spoilers! And I stand clear of reading certain sites as to not take me off my own course of research. The one thing I don't need to do here is rehash all of the obvious clues from an episode, we all know what they are. Understood? Good! Let the fun begin!I'll only note things that I know come up as clues later, but need to be noted when they first show up and things I find that will be of importance! It will get very exciting as we progress into the story.
"Name."
A form is being filled out at a Government Disabilities Office.
Johnathan Locke sits speaking with his case worker.
He states his name as "John Locke", he is single, and he doesn't have a girlfriend. {The form shows-Johnathan Locke 168 San Juan St. 201 Tustin}
The case worker asks him if his parents are living, to which he replies, "I was raised in foster care. I never really knew my parents."
She asked if he ever thought about seeking out his biological parents.
John- "I don't see how that's relevant."
She tells him it's relevant "Mr. Locke, because if the government is going to continue to pay your disability insurance, I have to figure out whether or not your condition has improved." {Yeah, still, how is the question relevant?}
She asks him how his appetite is.
He says it's fine. She notes he stopped submitting his therapy bills for reimbursement; he stopped going because it's "Waste of time."
She stamps his file with 'Benefits Suspended' in red and explains it's just a temporary suspension and that benefits will start again when he resumes his sessions; then he can re-apply.
He asks her if she thinks he's temporarily disabled.
She says-“Depression can be temporary, yes. And since you see fit to stop going to therapy I guess your all better."
John-"I guess I am."
She calls "Next."
John walks out of the office. {Note file boxes along the wall, things of red that stand out. Coffeecup, red handbag hanging on the cubby wall, pens, pencils, etc.}
Danielle walks away from the trio.
Kate informs the guys, "She's the one who helped me and Sawyer escape." {Juliet whisper-It's gonna be tomorrow}
Sayid realizes that Danielle is not there with them. Kate lets John know that Danielle's gone, but he's focused on the barracks.
Juliet and Jack seem very comfy cozy with each other.
John, Kate and Sayid observe Juliet knock on a door. John looks through binoculars
for a closer look. Juliet wheels out convalescing Ben in a wheelchair. They watch Jack speak with Ben and then they shake hands.
John-"This is going to be more complicated than we thought."
Kate loads her rifle; she's pissed! She tells Sayid, "We came here to rescue Jack, and that’s what we're gonna do."
Sayid-"Obviously the circumstances have changed. He may not want to be rescued."
Kate-"That is NOT Him, that’s not Jack! They must have done something to him. When they captured us they drugged us."
Sayid remarks he didn't appear to be drugged.
Kate-"They kidnapped him, held him prisoner, he wouldn't just forget that!"
Sayid agrees, but until they know why, they're putting their lives at risk.
Kate-"I'm not leaving him!"
Sayid feels they may not have a choice
Locke-"It's Jack. The first time I saw he was risking his life pulling people out of burning air plane wreckage. He's shaking hands with the others I'm sure he's got a good reason. We just have to go down there and find out what it is."
Locke suggests they wait till its dark and approach Jack when he's alone. "And if he wants out, we get him out."
{Flash}
John is in his room/home playing with his food. He is watching EXPOSE on TV. {The show talking about the cobra. Character, Autumn says 'I can't find him' then something about winged victory. Locke's food tray is FILLED with symbols from the "island" coffee pot, sailboat, arrow, circle w/dot in the middle, sheriff star/badge, cowboy boot, keyhole, circle w/2 lines, kite, something that looks like 7UP}
John-"You've got the wrong John Locke."
Peter asks how many kidneys he has.
John makes instant coffee {YUK! 1 dark mug. 1 light mug. His room has red flashlight, map, red thermos, Picture of flags, framed patches, Chinese food containers, radio.}
Peter tells John about his mother meeting a man two months ago; Love at first sight and the man's name is Adam Seward, a retired computer entrepreneur from Ontario. He said that Adam had something special that his mother went gaga for right out of the gate, so she agrees to marry the guy. Something in Peter's gut said "he's after something" so he had to check him out. {In the distance you hear an alarm/siren.}
Peter feels this has to do with Locke because he donated 1 of his kidneys to Seward. Only his name was different back then. It used to be Anthony Cooper.
Peter shows Locke a picture of Seward and his mother. All Peter could find were his medical records. {Wow! Different names and this guy finds Locke via medical records! Come on!}
Peter figures if someone gave the guys their kidney how bad could he be? "Right?"
Locke tells Peter he was an anonymous donor; he never met him.
Locke's sorry, "I can't help you."
Locke is looking through binoculars. He, Kate and Sayid are watching. Juliet has walked Jack home. {Where is Danielle ALL this time?}
Locke-"Sayid you guard the front. I'll go around and cover the back. You head in through the side door."
Kate is surprised she's going in alone. Locke feels it's better if she's the first one he sees. They put their plan into action.
Jack tells her to get out, "Go! Now! They're watching me!"
Kate's not leaving him. She notes the camera too late as the door gets broken in and the Others take over. Jack tells them not to hurt her.
Ryan-"Step back Doc."
As they have Kate on the ground. Sayid is caught and brought in too.
Ryan- "Who else is with you?"
Jack is just standing there.
Kate-"It was just us."
Ben is sleeping.
He wakes up. His window is open and so is the closet door. He raises his hospital bed up. He thinks someone is there.
Ben-"Alex?"
He turns his light on. Locke is there with his gun drawn.
John-"Shhhh. Keep your voice down."
{Ben's room is filled with countless books, Tribal/ancient masks and a big picture of the stars/constellations/skies and a picture of island.}
Ben says he can tell him where Jack is.
John- "I'm not looking for Jack. I'm looking for the submarine."
Ben is not sure what John means.
John-"The one you use to travel to and from the island. The one your man Mikhail told me about before I killed him."
Ben doesn't flinch!
Alex calls out "Dad? Who are you talking to?"
Ben- "Alex don't come in here."
John opens the bedroom door and there's a knock on the house door so John grabs Alex!
From outside the house door we hear Tom, "Ben. Are you awake?"
John hides with Alex in the closet. {Ben always keeps his cool}
Tom comes in to tell Ben about Austen and Jarrah, "They're here. Somehow they found us... We captured them. We're holding them over at my place."{Everybody has a place!}
Tom offers to help Ben get out of bed.
Ben instructs Tom to separate them, and he wants to know how they found "us."
Tom- "What about Juliet and Shephard, tomorrow morn..."
Ben says to let him worry about that. All the while John is watching them.
Richard-"What do you need him for?"
Ben tells him to just bring him. {Him, a real person?}
Richard leaves and John comes out of the closet. "The man from Tallahassee? What is that? Is that some kind of code?"
Ben tells him unfortunately they don't have a code for '"there's a man in my closet with a gun to my daughters head. Although we obviously should." {Rock on Ben!}
John tells Ben that Sayid had a pack with him and he wants it. Alex will go and retrieve it. Ben informs John that his daughter currently hates him, so holding him hostage may not be his best option. Alex will go get John's bag.
{Flash}
A door to shop opens and we see John enters the flower shop. He tries to blend in to the shop without much notice. Adam Seward is there with his intended; they are picking out centerpieces for the tables.
Adam/Anthony sees John. {Gee. What kind of flowers can we spot? Hmm?...I love flowers!} The sign says the name of the shop is the Tustin Ranch Florist. {I love how red always jumps out at us!}
Adam says hello.
John-"Is it gonna be a big to-do. Or just two of you and a preacher? I guess you couldn't invite me, huh? That would make for awkward introductions."
Adam/Anthony- "How did you even know?"
John explains he knows because her son came to me and asked why I gave you a kidney. He's on to you. But he doesn't have any proof. So he came to me hoping I would vouch for you."
John-"You're conning her, aren't ya? You’re gonna marry her for her money. Right?"
Anthony asks John what he wants. {NOTE: All of a sudden they are in front of the red flowers that are seen on the island!}
John wants him to end it with her, "You make people think that you're their family and then you leave their life in ruins. And I am not going to let you do it again."
John demands he call off the engagement or he will tell her the truth! John also demands that Anthony leave.
Anthony-"Okay. You got it."
John sits casually with his foot up at the end of Ben's hospital bed; he has his gun. Ben pulls himself up to adjust himself. He asks John if he would help him get into his 'chair', "No tricks. I promise. I just want some dignity."
Ben goes on to say that John of all people should understand what it means to want some dignity. John gets up and gets the wheelchair.
Ben wonders how he expects John to pilot "our" submarine. "I mean, it's a complicated piece of machinery. You don't just press submerge." {Yes you do.}
John will figure something out, "For all you know, I was a commander in the Navy."
Ben-"What's in the pack, John? If you met Mikhail that means you were in the communications station. Which means you found the explosives."
John doesn't say anything.
Ben-"So you're not planning to pilot the submarine anywhere, are you? You're planning to destroy it."
John doesn't respond at all; no reaction.
Ben-"I know you John Locke."
John-"You don't know me at all."
Ben-"I know you were born in California. I know you were raised in foster care. I know you wasted a big part of your life in Tustin pushing papers that manufactured industrial boxes. I know you spent the four years prior to your arrival on this island in a wheelchair. And I know how you ended up in it. Tell me John. Did it hurt?"
John-"I felt my back break. What do you think?"
Kate is cuffed in the game room.
She is trying to get out of the cuffs; she attempts this while on a pool table.
Tom opens the door and nicely says, "I didn't think I'd see you again so soon, Kate." He also speaks to someone out of view, "Be careful in here."
Tom motions to his "ears/hearing" to Jack {being bugged/watched -or to listen}. He lets Jack in to see her. {Note all the games and the black and white check table cloth} Jack pulls up a folding chair keeping distance from her. They both establish they haven’t been hurt by "them".
Kate looks around the room and asks, "What is all this?"
Jack lets her know that the people they took, the kids, their all safe.
Kate wonders if he's with 'them' now.
Jack is quiet- "I'm not with anyone, Kate."
She walks over to him and asks, "Why are you acting like this?"
Jack- "There's no wa...Yu...There's no way I could..."
Kate tells him she came back to help him.
Jack- "I told you NOT to come back here for me!"
Kate didn't think he meant it. They both start to get mushy and teary eyed. Kate walks over and touches his hand with her cuffed hand. Kate kneeling down in front of him, "What did they do to you, Jack?"
Jack-"I made a deal with them. They're gonna let me go.”
Kate-"Where?"
Jack-"Home...First thing in morning. I can bring back help. It's our best chance."
Kate feels he can't trust these people; they are liars. Jack trusts them because she told him to, when she asked him to save Sawyer's life.
Kate gets curious, "What did they tell you?"
The door opens, it's Juliet telling Jack they need to go. Jack tells Kate he wishes she hadn't come back there for him.
He whispers in Kate's ear, "But I will come back here for you."
Jack leaves the game room.
{Flash}
John pulls up in his red Volkswagen beetle to his apartment. He was a bag of cleaning supplies. Two detectives meet him. Detective Mason and Detective Reed questions him about knowing Peter Talbot. John lies and says he doesn't know him. They remind him Peter was in his apartment two days ago. John says he was a solicitor.
The Talbot family is worth somewhere in the neighborhood of $200 million. Locke's name and address was in his pocket.
Peter Talbot is dead.
John peeks out Ben's window. {Red curtains}
Ben tells him, "It wasn't easy being in that hatch with you all that time. Knowing you had no business walking around. Knowing I couldn't even ask you about it without telling you who I really was."
John-"So ask me now. Now that I know who you really are."
John closes the curtains.
Ben excitedly wheels himself over to John, "Was it immediate? It started the moment you got here?"
John says 'yes' as he's looking at items/books in the room, "You're wondering why it hasn't happened for you. You're not recovering as fast as you'd like. How long it's been since Jack fixed you? A week? Now that I think about it, how’d you get sick in the first place?"
Ben asks him if he's afraid it will go away, "Is that why you want to destroy the submarine? Cause you know if you ever leave this island you'll be back in the chair?"
Locke picks up Ben's Harry Potter glasses and peeks through them and asks "You got anything to eat?"
Alex comes to retrieve the pack from Sayid. {Convenient the Others didn't take the pack from their prisoner! Pack- like a pack of dogs.}
Ryan is standing guard and drinking coffee tells her to "Go home kid. You know you're not supposed to be here."
Alex-"My father sent me to get his pack."
He gives her the pack {Complete with Eko's stick}
Sayid- "You're Alex, aren't you?"
He mentions "You look like your mother."
Alex says her mother is dead.
Sayid- "I'm sure that's what they told you."
Ryan hits Sayid and tells him to keep his mouth shut. {Sayid's watch says 6: something}
John wheels Ben into the living area of his house. {There are artifacts, tribal masks, statues, artwork, books and pictures. Book ‘A brief history of time’, a painting of a woman, family pictures, large vases/vessels and a Ganesha}
Ben turns on the lights and John asks where they get electricity.
Ben- "We have 2 giant hamsters running in a massive wheel in our secret underground lair/lab."
Ben lets John have leftovers to eat. Locke checks out the eats. {Dharma onions, canned pork, beer. Fresh orange juice, milk, tomatoes, watermelon, chicken on a red plate}
Ben has a cute White and Red kitchen. {Note Red coffee pot and the butterfly encased in glass.}
Ben looks near picture of Alex. {Clock says 3:25. It's hard to see exact}
Ben tells John he already ate most of the dark meat. John now appreciates chicken.
Ben- "I know you think you need to do this John, but if you blow up my submarine I have a big problem with my people." {Big Shit}
Ben continues, "I was born on this Island. Not many of my people can say that. Most of them were recruited and brought here. And as much as they love this place, as much as they'd do anything to defend it, they need to know they can leave if they want to. The sub maintains that illusion."
John-"So you're lying to them."
Ben-"No! There here because they want to be here. Some of them are just not ready to make a full commitment yet. {Commitment to what?!} But you John, you've already made that commitment. And now you have a choice. Because if you stop and if you think, I can show you things. Things I know you want to see very badly. Let me put it so you'll understand. Picture a box. You know something about boxes, don't you John? What if I told you that somewhere on this Island, there's a very large box, and whatever you imagined, whatever you wanted to be in it, when you opened that box, there it would be. What would you say about that, John?"
John helps himself to a glass of water and tells him he hopes "That box is big enough to imagine yourself up a new submarine."
John is angry because Ben's cheating, "You and your people- communicate with the outside world whenever you want to, you come and go as you please, you use electricity and running water and guns. You're a hypocrite. A Pharisee. You don't deserve to be on this island. If you had any idea what this place really was, you wouldn't be putting chicken in your refrigerator!"
Ben reminds John he's only been there for 80 days; Ben's been there his entire life! "So how is it you think you know this Island better that I do?"
John-"Because you're in the wheelchair and I'm not."
John takes his pack. He tells Ben how its gonna work; Alex is going to take him to the sub. Once they're there he'll let her go. Ben offers to take him so Alex doesn't have to.
Ben reveals that he and Jack made a deal. In less than an hour "he's leaving this island on that submarine and it's a one way ticket. The anomaly wiped out our communications, we have no way of contacting the outside world. Which means when that sub leaves it can never come back. So whether you destroy the submarine or whether you let it go, the end result is the same. No one will find this Island."
John leaves with Alex.
Alex tells John, "You know he's manipulating you, right?" That's what her father does. He manipulates people. He makes you think it's your idea, but it's his {Now, There's an answer!} John will keep that in mind.
Alex directs John, "The submarine is down there at the end of the dock."
He lets her go. Danielle happens to be nearby hiding in the bushes and she is crying.
John opens the hatch to the submarine. {Red lighting} He goes in.
Ben puts the leftover chicken back in the fridge. Jack comes in as he needs to ask Ben for one last favor; Juliet is with him {Isn't it the friggin middle of the night? Yummy bananas.}
Ben- "You don't knock?"
That amuses Juliet.
Jack needs him to let his friends go, "After I'm gone."
Ben-"And if I said no would that stop you from leaving?"
Jack says of course it would.
Ben knows Jacks friends are only there to rescue him. "But you seem to be doing a good job of rescuing yourself. I suppose there's no reason to keep them here."
Jack asks him if he has his word on that. They shake hands, "You have my word. I'll let them go just as soon as you've left the Island."
Ben and Juliet share a moment of 'goodbye'.
Juliet thanks him for keeping his promise. {Time on clock? And WHAT PROMISE?}
Jack and Juliet leave. {Ben's expression here!}
John is soaking wet, walking down the dock; no pack.
Juliet and Jack get escorted by guards down by the dock.
They connect with John. The guards pull guns on John; make him "Get down!"
John puts his hands up in surrender. {Tom and his facial expressions! He always looks so surprised at people's behavior! I crack up!}
Jack asks John what he's doing there.
BOOM!! {There's Toms face again!}
{Flash}
There's banging/knocking on the door.
John is at Anthony's fancy apartment. {Not a house}
John comes in freaking out, "What did you do? Tell me you didn't do it...Tell me that you didn't kill that kid." {Picture of Apollo theater on wall} Of course Anthony plays stupid.
John implies Anthony would kill him because the kid was on to him.
Anthony- "I've been doing this a long time. I'm not sweating some rich kid." {There's a beautiful bottle of MacCutcheons}
John's pissed because he told Anthony to leave. Anthony tells him he didn't end it because he wanted to make some money before he skipped out and then all this happened, "Peter died and everything just went straight into the tank."
{He pours two shots of MacCutcheons} His intended has called off the wedding.
Anthony explains there's no profit in it, "I'm a con man, not a murderer."
She called off the wedding, "She couldn't deal with it..."
So, John suggests if he was to call her that's what she'd say. Dad shows him the phone. John takes the phone asks what's her number.
Dad pushes John out the window!
Badly bruised and injured John lays in a hospital bed. The same two detectives from before tell him the news that his father's gone. He fled to Mexico shortly after their encounter. "He could be anywhere in the world right now."
A physical therapist comes, "Mr. Locke has work to do today."
He has the detectives leave.
Therapist- "John, John, John. We have got ourselves quite a day ahead of us, my friend."
He has opened the blinds on the windows. {He wears red} The therapist is trying to motivate him to get him out of bed.
John is very sad and depressed, broken- "I don't want to."
Therapist-"I don't remember asking."
He brings in a wheelchair and tells John that he'll get used to it.
John feels he can't do this.
The therapist explains he "fell eight stories and survived. I don't want to hear about what you can't do. Let's go."
John is cuffed to a pipe. He is sleeping standing up. He jolts awake.
John-"You don't have to pretend you’re disappointed anymore. We both know you wanted it to happen. That's why you left the C-4 in Sayid's bag. Because you wanted me to make it happen."
{John's catching on!}
Ben reminds him when earlier John called him a cheater, when he said Ben didn't deserve to live on this Island.
Ben tells him he was thinking of a way to stop Jack from leaving. "Because to let him go would be a sign of weakness, of failure, of defeat. People would see that. They would know it. And that, John would be the end of me. But to kill him, that would be cheating." If his people hear him make a promise and he breaks it that would be the end of him too. Then John came striding out of the jungle, "To make my dream come true."
Yeah, yeah, start talking about the magic box again! Ben's going to show him what came out of it. They lead him down a hallway.
Ben tells John he must have misunderstood him when he asked if it hurt. It's obvious when a person's back smashes into a hard surface after being thrown from a building it's gonna sting a little. {John's trying to work the kinks out of his shoulders}
Ben reveals he wasn't asking him about the physical pain. "I wanted to know what it felt like when your own father tried to kill you. He's the reason you destroyed the submarine, isn't he? You're afraid. You're afraid of him and this is the one place he can never find you. This is the one place he can never get to. Ben makes like he doesn't know how it happened, "But you seem to have some communion with this Island, John, and that makes you very, very important."
Ben tells him in time you'll have a better understanding of things. Ben wants to help him, "Because I'm in a wheelchair and you're not. Are you ready to see?"
Richard uses a key to open the door and reveal a tied and gagged Anthony Cooper to John.
The Man from Tallahassee is a Great episode! There's so much to talk about here.
Things to Note…Questions to ask…
* Biological Parentage. John Locke was raised by another. How many of them were raised by someone other than 'natural' parents? Hmm?! How many of them think they have "natural" parents?
* Something going on with DNA, conception, breeding...Creating "Life"".
* Alex. Who are her 'parents' really? I'm not buying Ben/Danielle.
* We talk about twins and things like that…But what about look alike robots? Like in the Terminator movies! Lol. Anything is possible at this point! So...Replicas.
* Mental Health. People in therapy. Depression. Santa Rosa. Mind.
* Yes. We're still keeping our eyes on their 'eyes'!
* How old are people? "Born there"
* Codes. Pirates have codes! Lol!
* Deals. Strategy. Capture.
* Time. Timer.
* John owns a lot of ugly plaid shirts!
* Ben has countless books. How long does it take to acquire that many?
* The 'Submarine' is a complicated piece of machinery. You don't just press submerge. {That's important!}
* Was the blown up "submarine" really the 'submarine' to get back and forth to the "Island"? No. I don't think so.
* Kate and Jack share something for sure. But what? When? What time? What time line? Could they have been a couple at one time? Or will they be in another time.
* There are clues to change of circumstances/season.
* John's accident: Was it real or not? Was John really paralyzed at all? Emotionally he was for sure.
* Again we have an example of someone being led to believe another person to be dead, but they are not!
* All the time difference in Ben's house. I know time must run differently on the island, but this is just friggin crazy. Why do we see a few variations of time in that situation?
* The "Island" is still getting food drops from Dharma. Why? Wouldn't Dharma realize their people have been dead for years?
* I need to make a slide show or video montage of Tom and his dumbfounded facial expressions! Can I get a Hell Yeah?!
* Has John been in a wheelchair before? Will he be again?
* Ben sure does have a lot of tribal masks! Masks represent other faces, other realities. They are also very important in other cultures for 'dance'. Could that be a hint to his interests in the Ancients and Cultures? Age? Or could it be a clue to Ben being the master of disguise. Can Ben change his appearance or identity? Who else can?
* Ben is cheating. CHEATING!
* People speaking persuasively and convincingly. That's a talent!
* Peter Talbot: (1620-1680), was the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Dublin from 1669 to his death. For fun, his name anagrams to A BETTER PLOT! LOL!
Vocabulary and Research...
♦ Tustin Ranch is a community located in the city of Tustin, California in Orange County, California. The Tustin Ranch was formerly a citrus ranch. The Tustin Market Place is on Jamboree Road in the heart of the Ranch. It is also home of the annual running competition in Tustin called Dinosaur Dash.
♦ The name "Tallahassee" is a Muskogean Indian word often translated as "abandoned fields," "old fields" or "old town."
♦ Ganesha: is the elephant head/human body statue on Ben's table. Ganesha overcomes obstacles and is the god of new ventures.
♦ Cobra-Snakes: Known for living in underground lair allies it with the underworld and it associated with the primal waters from which all life was created. The serpent symbol is widespread in the agricultural community where it's used to represent the fertility of the soil.
♦ RISK: is a strategic board game. It was released as La Conquête du Monde (The Conquest of the World), in France. Risk a game for 2-6 players, played on a board depicting a stylized Napoleonic-era political map of the Earth, divided into 42 territories, which are grouped into 6 continents. Players control armies, with which they attempt to capture territories from other players. The goal of the game is to control all the territories—or"conquer the world"—through the elimination of other players. Using area movement, Risk ignores realistic limitations, such as the vast size of the world, and the logistics of the game. The game comes with 6 sets of armies, each of a different color. I was researching sub-words of MacCutcheons, I came across ESCUTCHEONS OF SCIENCE. When I wanted to search a few names within that title, I inadvertently misspelled the name 'Christian' (Shepherd) and came across this- Christiaan Huygens, a Dutch mathematician who patented the first pendulum clock, which greatly increased the accuracy of time measurement. He laid the foundations of mechanics and also worked on astronomy and probability. Alma mater University of Leiden
College of Orange. Huygens achieved note for his arguments that light consisted of waves, which became instrumental in the understanding of wave-particle duality.
Ben is always in control of the game. He never panics or wavers. Every action he has is a strategy for things/game to continue on. He will con and manipulate people and events. But, he has spoken the truth about many things, so we need to listen to him carefully. Ben also seems to have found a way to cheat.
We're led to believe that John was imagining and wanting to see Anthony Cooper the minute he 'looked inside the box/room'? No! That's what Ben was wanting. We did see John sleeping standing up then Ben and Richard come in to get him. Did John have a manipulated Flash/dream/memory about Anthony, orchestrated by Ben? Now Ben can reveal Anthony, making it seem like John wished him there, but maybe he didn't, maybe it was Ben who wished him there. Did Ben contribute to this reunion because he knew John needed to face something, i.e. his father and his past emotional pain.
It seems as if John is finding ways to keep Jack on the "Island" on purpose, almost as if he knows Jack has to stay there for a reason, like...until he finds what he's looking for. Plus I have that whole "two halves of a whole" feeling going on here again with Jack and John. Sometimes I feel like the Castaways' are all aspects of Jack. Weird, I know. Call me crazy!
If there are illusions, tricks and props literally used in making people on the "Island" believe things, then how is anyone, including us, the outside world viewer, supposed to know what is real and what is not/manipulated/fake/staged/Razzle Dazzle! This trickery would include things we see happening with "Flashes" and life on the "Island". We see in the "Flash", imagery that is directly tied into things and events on the "Island". I don't know, maybe I've got it all backwards.
That brings me to the 'underground place'. Who is in this underground place? Could Christian be in there? I'm just asking!!!
