Three Minutes

Let's talk about LOST!   Three minutes.

13 DAYS AGO.
Locke is in the armory putting the guns in their place. Michael {In a plaid shirt, sleeves cut off} comes over to Locke and whispers, “I was hoping I could borrow one of these guns.”
Locke asks if it’s supposed to be a secret.  Michael implies he’s whispering because Jack's sleeping.
Locke asks, "More target practice?"
Michael tells him, yeah; he just wants to stay sharp.  Michael seems hurried; he looks at the expensive gold watch. {It’s not on his wrist. It was in his pocket.}
Locke notices that and asks him, "You got a date?"
Michael- "No. Old habits, you know."
Locke- "Yes I do."
He gives Michael a rifle.  Michael grabs for a couple of the bullet boxes and purposely knocks over them over.  Locke bends down to pick them up and Mike knocks him out. {There's a lot of knocking out of Losties. It looks like Michael takes a hand gun or something on the way out.}
Michael tries to communicate with"Walt/someone" on the computer.  The screen only shows a small blinking green box. He frantically and randomly enters letters in an effort to spark some action.
Nothing happens.
He verbally asks, “Where are you?
He back spaces all the random letters to clear them and types in…”You okay?”
Michael stares at the screen waiting for a reply.
The computer replies with- “ok. No time. Come soon?”
Excited Michael replies, “I’m ready. Coming NOW. You said north….{next line}…north WHERE?” Computer replies very fast: “when they take me out. there’s huge rocks with a hole in the middle by the beach you’ll know when you see.”
Michael replies, “It’s gonna be ok. I’m coming.”, as he verbally says, “I’m coming Walt.”
Jack calls out for “Locke.”
This startles Michael...the screen goes blank.
Michael, with this back pack and rifle, orders Jack to stay in the armory.   Locke is still unconscious. Michael is going after his son and nobody is going to stop him.  He feels it’s his right, a father’s right! Michael locks Locke and Jack up in the armory. {Jack has key around his neck.}

TODAY.
Michael {Wearing a rose color shirt} is holding a small rose/pink list in his shaking hand. He burns the list. Jack comes out of the hatch door and {NOT wearing the key around his neck} asks Michael “What are ya doing out here?”
Michael’s just getting some air.
Jack wants him to come inside, “We should talk.”
In the hatch we see two bodies wrapped in blankets.
Jack, Michael, Kate, Sawyer and red shirt, nervous Hurley is there.
Sawyer tells Jack they have 11 rifles/pistols total.
Jack- “That’s it?”
Sawyer reminds Jack, “In case you forgot, they' took five of em right off us.”
Jack asks how long to get to their camp.
Michael says if they leave now, move fast, “middle of the night tomorrow.”
Michael tells Jack, “Look, they have no idea I know where they are. They won’t be expecting us. So we get the guns, and we go. Right now, just the five of us.”
Jack feels five is not enough. Jack reminds Michael that he saw at least 20 of them, they’ve got 'our guns', and we’re not even sure if what you saw was…..' {Michael said he counted 22; And about their Hatch, They keep it guarded 24/7. 2 guards, 2 guns. And 2 guns is all I saw. They're barely armed. Most of them are old and half of them are women.}
Michael is fired up, “I know what I saw! We take too many people they hear us coming. I’m NOT TAKING A DAMN ARMY ACROSS THE ISLAND, Jack!”
Jack asks him, "Sure you're in the best place to be making decisions for all of us right now?"
Michael asks Jack if he's got a son? {hmmm?}
Hurley yells, "Their dead! Anna Lucia and Libby are dead. I mean we haven’t even buried them yet.”
Jack understands and says to Hurley, "Me and you will take Libby, OK?"
Kate and Sawyer will {take Anna Lulu}.
Jack tells Michael he should stay there, “We’ll bury them tonight…then we’ll figure out what’s next.”
Michael looks down at the blood on the floor.
13 DAYS AGO.
Michael is running through the jungle. He stops to take a drink from his bottled water and to check his compass; takes off running again.
In the middle of nowhere he comes upon a dude {Pickett} peeing! {That's' lovely!}
Michael pulls the rifle and tells him to put his hands up. The guy recognizes him as Walt's old man. Mr. Friendly is there. They try to capture Michael.
Two guns shots ring out when Mr. Friendly tries to grab him. We hear "We need him!"
They shoot at each other. {Michael has a handgun}
Mr. Friendly is able to knock Michael down by using a rock/sling and then he instructs them to "Bag him quick. His friends are right behind us."

TODAY.
One armed Michael cleans up the bloody floor. {The Dharma bucket is a clear/see-through bucket.} He doesn't hear Eko come in.
Eko took his muddy shoes off outside. He tells Michael they didn't find Henry. Eko admits to Michael that he's a priest.
Michael asks him if he believes in hell.
Eko kinda shakes his head no. We find that Eko worked in England.
As Eko helps clean up the bloody floor he shares a story of a little boy who waited in the back of the church. The boy confessed he had beaten his dog to death with a shovel; he was protecting his sister. {Michael listens. Eko cleans; wiping the blood, rinsing and wringing out the white cloth.} The boy wanted to know if he would go to hell for this. Eko tells the boy God will understand and forgive him as long as he was sorry. But the boy did not care about forgiveness, he was only afraid he did go to hell, that dog will be there waiting for him.

Michael {w/backpack, arm in sling} pukes in the jungle.
Jack was on his way back to check on Michael.
Michael he had to get out of there. He goes on to say, "I have to get my son back. It's gotta be like I said man. Just the five of us, otherwise it won't work. It won't work!… It's got to be the people that already know! ...You don't get to decide this! It's my son, it’s my call. And that's the way it has to be!"
Jack- "Then that's the way it'll be."

At the beach:
Claire wearing two shirts, is with the baby.
Charlie says hi to the “big guy” and asks if she's seen Eko.
Charlie tells Claire that he and Eko are building a church. Charlie gives Claire the case with the vaccine he got from the pallet.  He says he doesn't know what we'd need a vaccine for but thought she and the baby should. {What does he know about a vaccine?} He shows her how to use the Pneumatic Injector; put it into your leg, it goes right in, quite painless
Claire- "You seem to know a lot about it."
Charlie says he tried it, as he wanted to make sure it was safe before giving it to her and the baby. He feels fine; doesn't feel anything (from the injection).
Charlie tells Claire, "that you're supposed to give yourself a shot every nine days".
There’s enough there for her and the baby for a while. He leaves the case with her and asks, ”Hey, Claire. Do you think maybe you and I can, umm…”
Claire instantly gets distracted because she sees that Michael is back. {Check out Charlie!}
Jin and Sun {with a net} are surprised yet happy to see Michael.
Jin says a bunch of stuff in Korean to him. {Remember, Jin considers Michael his friend. Sun and Michael seem to have a connection.} They're ALL happy to see him. Off to the side Sun sees Kate digging graves.
Sun wants to know what happened, "Who...?"
Michael reveals they were murdered!

13 DAYS AGO.
At night bagged Michael is brought over to a campfire with Mr. Friendly.
Michael spits at Friendly.
Mr. Friendly won’t hold that against him, fair is fair, after all he took his boy.
Michael- “Where is he? You son of a bitch.”
Look at what Pickett found…He found Kate, who now has a hood/bag over her head. She was following her friends.
Pickett- "They were about a half of click behind us."
They gag Michael to silence him and ready the torches as Mr. Friendly is going to talk to "her people".

Jack, Locke and Sawyer are in the dark jungle. Locke feels they better head back but focused Jack just wants Locke to find the trail.
Locke-“I lost the trail.”
Jack is pissed, “You don’t just lose a trail. You just don’t wanna find him.”
Surprised Locke says, “Yeah. That’s right, Jack. I’ve been running through the jungle toward the sound of gunfire because I don’t care about Michael.”
Jack feels if they just turn around and go back they’re never gonna see him again; and that’s gonna be on them, “On you. And on me.”
Mr. Friendly tells Jack he’s exactly right.
Jack-“Who are you?
Sawyer knows him to be the son of a bitch who shot him on the raft.   Sawyer goes to take a shot at him, but a shot is fired at Sawyer.

Behind the scenes Alex explains to Michael, “It's okay. He's just delivering a message. He has to scare your friends to do it." {WTF? Why?}
Jack- “I don’t believe you.”
Mr. Friendly-:You don’t believe what?
Jack thinks there’s “more of us than there are of you.”
Mr. Friendly feels that’s an interesting theory and yells “Light em up!” {Many torches are lit} He wants their weapons, tells them to turn around and go home.
Stubborn Jack refuses.
Mr. Friendly calls out, "Bring her out, Alex!”
Alex won't do it, so Pickett presents the hooded/bagged Kate to the guys.
Alex asks Michael if Claire's is okay; if the baby is okay, was it a boy or girl. Michael seems puzzled.
Curious Kate is revealed to the guys.  The pissed off guys surrender their guns to Mr. Friendly.  All the torches go out at the same time, Friendly picks the guns up and pushes Kate over to them.  At the campfire Friendly announces his friends are going home; they give up Michael.   Alex knocks out Michael. {Yeah, didn't see that coming. HA!}

TODAY.
On the beach Vincent {No collar} is alone with quiet Michael; he’s just petting the dog and thinking. {That DOG! Yep!}
Jack and Sawyer are at his tent getting the guns from his stash.   Sawyer offers the Doc a drink. The Irish drink when somebody dies; Neither one of them are Irish. {Irish! HA! I wonder what they really are.}
Sawyer asks why Jack and Kate were gone all night.
Jack says they got caught in a net. {Yes they did get caught in a net, but they weren't in it all night!}

Sayid asks Jack if it’s true, “Henry’s gone?”
He wants in on the quest for Henry and the Others.  The guys mention that Locke and Eko went out in the middle of the night but they haven’t seen either of them since.
Jack says no to Sayid’s wanting to help ‘finish this’.
Jack- "Michael wants to keep it small."
Sawyer is upset and tells Jack that even though Pipi Longstocking and the damn Grape Ape are ideal candidates for the dirty dozen, he wants to bring the red beret.
Jack again defends Michael's call.
Annoyed Sayid says "It's not his call, Jack, it's ours."
Sawyer hands Sayid a gun and says "Welcome aboard."
Jack walks off with the Halliburton case in hand.
In the quiet hatch Eko passes the humming magnet; it lifts/pulls his cross.
The beeping starts. Eko {with his stick} enters the code in the computer; resetting it. Eko is pleased.
108.
Just then Charlie wanders in and says to Eko, “So. You wake up in the middle of the night, you grab your Jesus stick, race off into the jungle. You don’t call, you don’t write.
Eko apologizes saying he had work to do.
Charlie looks at wrist watch. {WTF? Does he have a date? Maybe he does! Is time important?} Eko kindly asks Charlie for a favor; to bring his things from the beach to the hatch. He's moving in.
Charlie wonders, "What about the church? We're supposed to be building it together, man."
Eko- "I'm supposed to do something different now."
Charlie, seeming insulted asks “what he's supposed to do?”
Eko- "Bring me my things."
Charlie tells Eko, "Bring your own things…. You better leg it, mate. Clocks ticking." {He points up to the timer. Somebody/something must be on a schedule. Timed.}
Charlie smirks as he leaves. The timer shows 107.

Michael packs fruit in his bag.
Sawyer comes over to tell Michael the good news about Captain Arab joining in too, “The Calvary rides at sunrise.”
Michael is pissed that Sawyer told Sayid.  Sawyer figured if they're going to war it would be best to have the one guy who's been in a war, “Is that a problem?”
Troubled Mike says “No. It’s not a problem.”
Mike looks back to watch “problem Sawyer” walk away.

11 DAYS AGO.
Daylight.
Michael wants his captors to get off of him.
Mr. Friendly asks him, “You got a problem, Michael?”
The Others have been marching Michael day and night without any rest. The problem is Mike is tired. Mr. Friendly would offer to knock him out and carry him but, “We’re here!
They bring Michael to the big rock with the hole. {It literally looks like a jigsaw puzzle piece. Don’t you think?}
The Others camp:
They walk by people working on their huts, two guards at the hatch doors, three people with a fishing net. {You can hear a crow in the background!}
The Others are not wearing shoes. They sit Mike down and Mr. Friendly instructs Alex to “Tell her we’re here.”
Pickett, not being able to promise this wont hurt, takes a blood sample from Michael.
Michael- "Taking some blood for what? Who are you people? Where's my son?"
Pickett finishes drawing blood, bags it in a plastic baggie and tells Michael, "See you in the funny pages" {OMG! Great clue!}
Miss Klugh strolls over and introduces herself. She was hoping he might help her answer some questions about Walt.
Miss Klugh- “Is he your biological son?” {Michael doesn't answer!}
Miss Klugh-“Are you his father?
Michael- "Yes." {He answers yes to that one.}
Miss Klugh- “How old was he when he started speaking?” {Mike is flustered and his attempt at words are choppy.}
Miss Klugh- “Did he have illnesses growing up? Headaches, fainting spells?”
Baffled Michael says "What? No! I don't…I wasn't there. He was ½ way around the world. Why are you asking me these questions?!”
She cuts him off to ask. "Did Walt ever appear in a place he wasn't supposed to be? You say he was ½ way around the world, but did you see?"
Michael doesn't answer this question he just demands to see Walt.
Miss Klugh feels, "For someone who wants his son back so badly, you don't seem to know much about him Michael." She gets up.

TODAY.
{Before we see Sayid we hear something. A gun being cocked?}
Sayid is putting papers in his backpack.
Michael comes over to tell Sayid, “You're not coming.”
Sayid with a gun in his hand welcomes Michael back.
Michael knows Sawyer told him but, “It’s not gonna work. You’re not coming.”
Sayid wants to know why.
Michael-“Cause you’re going after the guy who escaped. And I’m going after my son.”
Sayid wonders if Michael’s implying that he’d let a desire for revenge compromise Walt’s safety. Mike is getting tense, he outright says, “I’m implying that I decide who stays and who goes! And you stay!"
Michael realizes his own attitude and adjusts it. He calmly tells Sayid he knows Sayid wants to help but he’s gotta do this his way.
Sayid compassionately shakes Michaels hand and says, "Of course. Good luck Michael."
{Note the antenna thingy leaning against Sayid's tent.}
Charlie {Wearing the black/white/check (vans) sneakers.} tries to continue work on the church but seems to be having difficulty working aloneVincent the wonder dog brings him a Virgin Mary statue. {The fucking dog actually wants him to take the statue!}
Charlie asks Vincent, “Are you kiddling me? Did someone put you up to this?
Vincent runs off and leads Charlie to Sawyers tent and stash with the statues. Charlie takes them and throws them into the water.
Locke {splint on leg and crutches}, sitting alone, looks on as he does this.
Sawyer and Jack are in the hatch.
Jack stops at the computer room and says to Eko, “You were supposed to come right back. You were out in the jungle all night. What happened?”
Eko tells Jack they were unable to find Henry's trail.
Jack wonders where Locke is.
Eko- “I do not know.”
Jack says they will bury the girls at sunset.
Eko will morn them in his own way. Eko just keeps his eye on the countdown clock. {WTF? He's the only priest on the island! He won't oversee the funeral? Come the fuck on!}

Jack and Sawyer go through the guns and ammo. {There’s a lot of it.} Sawyer asks who is gonna talk at the funeral.  Jack is sure Hurley will want to say something about Libby.
Sawyer never knew Ana Lucia's last name; But Jack did.
Jack-"Coretz."
Sawyer admits to screwing Ana. That's how she stole the gun; she jumped him.
Sawyer- “We got caught in a net.”
He's telling Jack all this because he feels like Doc’s the closest thing he's got to a friend and because she's gone. {Who's gone? Ana Lucia? He screwed her once! He's that heartbroken? Give me a break}
Sawyer-"Well. At least now we get to kill somebody."

At the beach, Hurley and Kate {She's wearing 2 shirts. Note the two blanketed bodies cooking in the hot sun. lol} dig two graves.
Michael walks over and asks Kate if Jack filled her in on the plan.
Kate- “What plan?”
They’ll leave first thing tomorrow morning, cross the island to their camp. He asks Hurley if he's coming with them.
Hurley wonders, "Why would I want to go?"
Michael trying to bait Hurley- "Because they killed her. What do you say Hugo?" {Michael calls him HUGO! Hurley doesn't even blink at it!}
Hurley says he's sorry about Walt but he's not going. Mike wants to continue to manipulate Hurley in to going but Kate stops him. Michael helps to dig.

3 DAYS ago.
The Others hut camp at night:
Michael is tied up and sleeping in one of their huts. Miss Klugh comes in to bring him dinner.
Michael asks her when are you going to do it; kill me. “I've seen where you live. I know how to get here. You have been asking me questions I don't know answer to for a week. I don't even think my son is alive." {He's been there a week?}
Miss Klugh says he is alive and is standing outside right now.
Mike-“What do you think I’m stupid?”
Miss Klugh goes on to reveal, "There's been a development since you came here, Michael. One of our people was captured by yours."
Mike doesn’t care, “So go get him back.”
Apparently they can’t do that, but Mike can.
Miss Klugh - "If you do, we'll let you and Walt go free."
Michael demands to see Waaaaaaaaaallt!! Pickett brings in Walt. Miss Klugh tells them they have three minutes.
Walt enters and looks very nervous. Klugh gives him a ‘you better watch out look.’
Mike-“Did they hurt you?”
Walt tells Michael that they make him take tests. Miss K warns Walt they're not going to talk about that.
Walt asks "How's Vincent?" {The wonder dog!}
  Michael tells him that the dog is great and he "misses you. Don't you be scared…. It's gonna be over real soon.”
Walt warns Michael, "They're not who they say they are! They're pretending!"
Miss K threatens to put Walt in the “room” again. {What room?}
Michael wants to know, pretending what?
Miss K ends their reunion. Walt breaks free from Pickett and runs over and hugs Michael, says "Help me. Don't leave me. I love you."
Michael is breaking down, crying; he loves Walt too. Walt is removed.
Miss K tells Michael, "After you release our man, I’m gonna need you to do something else.”
Desperate Michael will do whatever she wants.
She writes four names down on yellow note paper; four of your friends. “I need you to bring them here. You have to bring only these four people. Michael, just them. If you don't bring all the people on the list, you'll never see Walt again.” {She just said if they get their guy back, he and Walt can go free.}
Michael wants to know what to tell them. She says it doesn't matter, make up a story; they'll be angry enough to believe whatever you say. {WOW!!!!!!!} Michael looks at the list and realizes he doesn't know James Ford. She informs him, he knows him as Sawyer. Michael knows the rest of them.
Michael wants his and Walt’s freedom and the boat! {The crap boat they took Walt away with? That's a piece of shit! It's not meant for open water.}

The beach residents make their way to the funeral. Sawyer stands right at the edge of the two graves. {Why is Sawyer seemingly upset over Ana Lucia? Maybe it’s not Ana he’s upset about.} Kate comforts Hurley.

Locke sits away from them and cuts away the splint from his leg freeing himself and leaves his crutches as he walks off. {I love Locke! Where is he going? Does he remember/know something?}
Jack shares with Sayid "when the plane crashed I was on my way to LA to bury my dad.   Seems like such a long time ago now.   He was going to go right from the airport to the cemetery,I had no idea what I was gonna say.Here we are again." {YES! You are here again!} Sayid reveals to Jack he thinks Michael has been compromised; his actions are not those of a man who is telling the truth.  Sayid believes a Father would do anything for his son, and believes Michael may have freed Henry and believes Michael is leading you into a trap. {Sayid believes a lot.} Sayid also believed Henry was one of them. Sayid suggests let Michael continue to believe he's in control, so we can create an advantage. They have one more night to figure out how to create such an advantage.

Jack speaks at the funeral about Ana. Jack tells everyone before they “crashed” Ana Lucia Cortez was a police officer. {She was? I thought she wanded people at airport security? Hmm?}
Jack- “Rest in peace, Ana.”
Sawyer is still standing at the edge of the graves looking a bit dismal.  Hurley speaks about Libby; she was a psychologist or psychiatrist, one of those. "Either way, she probably helped a lot of people. She helped me. She was my friend. It's not fair that this happened to her. It's not. Hurley looks right at Michael and says he's going.
Claire takes hold of Charlie's hand.
Sun sees a boat in the distance and says "Boat."
They all see the boat in the distant water.

Three Minutes is great episode! Important in fact.

I've always questioned Michael being Walt biological father. I guess it still safe for me to feel that. What does Michael know about Walt, really? Again, if Walt can show himself, why wouldn't Walt show himself to Michael? Why do via computer? Besides that, the computer is NOT supposed to be used for anything but entering the code. Why is Michael exempt from this rule?
What does Michael really know about the "Island" and the "people" on it? What important role does he have with the "Island"? He must be very important. I think he knows lots. He knows where the 'Others' live and how to get there. Bear with me, I may be over thinking it, I admit it, but...Could he know where the "Island" is, and how to get to "it"? Then there's the bit with Michael wanting the Other's boat, and a boat appears to the beach crew.

Things to note…Questions to ask...
* Michaels' 13 days.
* Charlie and the vaccine. He is very comfortable with the device. Could he already be familiar with it? Don't laugh, it's possible.
* The rock with the big hole…Could that have been part of a ruin, an old structure? Is it more of a clue to the black rock? Just a prop?
* The Others don’t wear ‘shoes'. Is this to keep up with the ratty look they're going for? Maybe it is because they are on sacred ground? Again, taking shoes is off is a practice of respect for holy land or building, structure, temple, etc. Could the ratty clothes be only costumes or are they work clothes too? Then again, it is noted Eko was shoe-less.
* Is Pickett's comment to Michael about seeing him in the funny pages a clue to him being in the newspaper or a reference to the comic book? I still feel the comic book is a source of clues. The comic book reference comes up all the time.
* Charlie can show two different attitudes at times. It really makes me think..two faced or two....YEAH!!
* Charlie and Eko supposed to be building a 'church' together. Again, maybe those two are supposed to build/do something else. Maybe they are!
* The importance of Vincent! Who/what is Vincent really? What is the purpose of 'the dog'.
* Michael’s arm in a sling. Mr. Friendly uses a sling to shoot the rock at Michael. Charlie wears a sling backpack.
* Sawyer’s stash contains “vices” or “crutches” belonging to some of the Losties.
* Jack turns down a drink. Charlie gets rid of the statues. Locke literally leaves his crutches behind.
* Two versions of the note written by Miss Klugh. One Rose/Pink paper, the other yellow paper.
* Net. Click. Escape. Crash. Could this be referencing a computer/online?

Vocabulary and Research...
* In "BULLET CHESS" the game is played under three minutes.
* The First Three Minutes, a modern view of the original universe. By Steven Weinberg.
* Pneumatic is a Greek word the issue of pressurized gas to work in science and technology.

Three Minutes…. Walt's three minute visit with Michael gives us lots of answers. People pretending, test taking, special room, and Vincent. What can happen in three minutes? We are in the midst of a war game of sorts. This game is full of trades and deal making. But who is against whom? This must not be an open ended game…it’s on a timer. Is this our three minute warning? My next question is...WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?!

Love to all who are "LOST"™

Disclaimer: I never claim to know everything about the show and my thoughts by no means make me right. The things I share here are my views and/or opinions. I don't claim to catch every single detail either. You all know I hate spoilers, and I stand clear of reading certain sites as to not take me off my own course of research. The one thing I don't need to do here is rehash all of the obvious clues from an episode, we all know what they are. Understood? Good. Let the fun begin! I'll only note things that I know come up as clues later, but need to be noted when they first show up and things I find that will be of importance. It will get very exciting as we progress into the story.

S.O.S.

Let's talk about LOST! S.O.S.

{Click the pics!}

Rose is organizing the beach food pantry on the beach. {I guess the one in the hatch is off limits now!} Bernard seems bothered by the food and the situation. He questions if she’s even remotely curious where all this came from.
Rose was raised to "Never question her blessings."
Bernard was raised to question "food with weird labels that just fall out of the sky".
Rose feels he is having a bad day.  Bernard complains that he’s had seven weeks of bad days on the other side of the island, just trying to stay alive; so I can get back to her. "But here, my god Rose, they've built a kitchen on the beach. They've given up."
Rose nonchalantly asks- "Given up? On what?"
Bernard-"On getting rescued."

The beeping of the countdown clock is heard.

Two minutes on the beeping clock.
John is at the computer drawing on 'foil' tray/wrapper from Apollo Bars. {How many Apollo bars has John eaten? Crutches lean against the desk.} He closes his eyes, trying to use his minds "eye" to remember and sketch out the blast door map.
Frustrated John is so engrossed in this, that the alarm had to have been beeping for two minutes already, and he hasn't heard it! {The alarm starts a 4 minutes.}
At the 1 minute warning, Jack asks "Are you gonna get that?" making Locke snap out of it.
John enters the code, resetting the timer. He looks up at the timer and gives it a pissed off look as if he's annoyed by it.

Jack asks Ana when the last time was she went in to see “him”.
Ana, who is reading a book with maps, tells Jack she went in to see Henry a couple of hours ago; he was sleeping. It's been two days since Henry spoke, ate or drank anything.
Jack is tired of waiting. He opens the armory door.
Fake Henry appears to “turn on/come to attention” and sits up.
It is obvious he doesn’t want to talk.  Jack is going to change his dressing and if he tries anything then, “We’ve got a problem”.

Ana Lucia stands guard. {Just look at her face!} They still call their prisoner Henry.
Jack reminds Fake Henry of the conversation they had before they found out who he was.
Jack- "You were saying if you were one of them, that you'd lead us into a trap. Capture our people, force a trade. Us for you. It’s a pretty good idea, Henry. And since you are one of them, I thought now’d be a good time to use it."
Jack is going out to the line that they're not supposed to cross and telling them that they've got him. And if they want him back, it's gonna cost them. And when they get Walt back, he might just have been worth all the trouble.
Fake Henry speaks! "They'll never give you Walt."

A car is stuck in the snow. The tire just spins unable to move forward.
New York. {Wow! I remember snow in N.Y.!}
A man/Bernard offers to help the driver/Rose. He advices her not to gun it; "You have to rock it out". She's been driving in snow her whole life; she'll manage, yet she continues to gun it and just spin her “wheels”.
Rose wants to call triple A. {The song These Arms of Mine plays.} He asks her to trust him, he can do this. He pushes her car from behind; instructs her to ease on the gas. {Plate number BNQ 1925} The stuck car moves forward and Bernard falls.   Rose gets out and tells him she would have gotten it out eventually.
Bernard- "Oh sure, July's right around the corner."
They share a laugh and she thanks him for the help. They introduce themselves. As Bernard is about to get in his car Rose offers to buy him a cup of coffee. Bernard jumps at the offer!
{Flash Whoosh}
Watch Bernard walk across the beach!
Rose talks to Hurley about Dharmalars. She had to beat back half the group; she saved them for him. But Hurley is on the fish and water diet.
Bernard marches right up to Hurley and asks what he’s doing right now.
Hurley-“Uh talking to your wife.” {Does Bernard not see her right there?!}
Bernie asks if Hurley can get Libby and meet him at the edge of the tree line in five minutes. He also wants Hurley to round up Jin and Sun, Jenkins and Neil Frogurt the frozen yogurt guy and Craig and anyone else he can get. Bernard has an idea!

In the hatch Ana tells Jack that she’s not so sure trading people is their thing.
Jack feels that talking to Henry is getting them nowhere, so maybe they can get something for him. She asks him if he wants her to go with him.
We see Locke still sitting at the computer.
Jack grabs two snack bars from the pantry.
Ana advises him not to go out there alone. {They still get to use the pantry!}
Jack looks over at Locke and tells Ana that she "needs to stay here."
Ana gives him the gun.
She tells Jack "You need it more than I do." {Because she's not friggin afraid of Henry!!!}
Jack takes her gun. Ana again advises him not to go out there alone.

At the beach Kate and Sawyer are gathering up...{It fucking better NOT be oysters! Jin said in 'THE WHOLE TRUTH' that there weren't ANY oysters there!!! I'm gonna friggin freak!!!}
Kate has gathered four of these "not" oysters. Hehehe.
Sawyer is amused to note Dr. Giggles walking over.
Jack tells Kate that he's "going back out to the jungle and talk to their friend with the beard. See if we can make a trade".
Sawyer-“Ah. The ol prisoner exchange. And you're inviting me along cause you want a gun?"
Only Jack's not inviting Sawyer, he's inviting Kate, and he's already got a gun. Sawyer wonders how Jack got a gun. Kate goes along with Jack.

Bernard is spearheading a pep talk to a bunch of people that have been recruited for the project.
They've been on the Island two months. Bernard shares his amazement about the Castaway's all becoming comfortable with life on the Island. He asks them if they’ve “forgotten they “crashed on this Island. It's like none of you want to go home again."

Claire proclaims they do want to go home.  Bernard wonders  then why  aren’t they doing anything about it. Hurley mentions the building of the raft; that counts, even though it got blown up. Bernard reminds them the pallet of food had a parachute. "Which means a plane dropped it here. Which means there are other planes that fly over the Island."
He wants to make a MASSIVE SIGN for planes and satellites to see.
Rose-"Maybe you should speak to Jack about this first?"
Bernard- "Do we have to run everything by Jack? I mean he's not the president, he's a doctor". {President Jack? Hmmm.}
Rose- "You're a dentist."
The group giggles. Rose has embarrassed him. {You can see how annoyed Rose is by this attempt at rescue}
Privately Bernard tells Rose, "It's just a sign. I don't see what the harm is?"
Rose is bothered by him telling people about airplanes and satellites coming out of nowhere to save the day. Bernard is just trying to do something, “I wanna get back to our life.”
Rose - "The only thing you're doing is giving these people false hope!" {Bernard seems hurt}
Bernard- "Excuse me. I have a SIGN to build."

Rose and Bernard are having a meal at a Niagara Falls restaurant. They have the perfect window seat with spectacular view.   Rose is impressed by the beautiful amazing falls, Bernard is not.   She asks him "What does God have to go to get your attention?"
He is distracted. He calls over two violin players to play while he kneels down and proposes to Rose.   Bernard has been a bachelor for 56 years.
Bernard- "We fell into this rhythm, like we had known each other forever. I'd always dreamed of finding somebody like you, but I had given up hope that I ever would."
He knows it's crazy; they met five months ago. Five months is long enough because he knew after five minutes. He presents her with box; an engagement ring.  Bernard loves her. He asks her to marry him.
Rose reveals she's sick and she's dying; she has cancer.  She was in remission for the last couple of years, now its back; this time it's not going away. She has about a year, maybe a little longer.
Bernard looks stunned, yet only wants the answer to his question.
Rose says yes.
{Flash Whoosh}
Eko and Charlie are moving logs for their construction project.   Bernard marches up, {Charlie must be quite the craftsmen. He's helping Eko, and he was helping Sayid with building projects. Wow! What a guy} and tells Eko "You bunk with a guy for 48 days, and now he doesn't call or write."
Bernard explains that he has a whole team of folks throwing together a big sign...” and he could use all the bodies  he can get to help put it together. {YEP AGAIN!}
Eko, who is obviously focused on his task, says he is busy.    Charlie only has two hands, so he can't help, but he wishes Bernie good luck.   Eko won't share any of his logs.   Charlie reveals they are building a church. {It sounds like they consider the Island home to me.}
Bernard is very frustrated. "Everybody on this Island is building something! I'm trying to get us saved." {Everybody is building something! Does Bernard know of more building happening on the island? Hmmm.}
Eko tells him that people are saved in different ways.    Bernard liked Eko better when he just hit people with his stick. {How many times has Bernard witnessed that?} Eko and Charlie don't miss a beat and continue to build.

A record is playing a lovely Island tune in the hatch. Locke is still sitting at the computer working on his drawing. He is very frustrated and his leg seems to bother him.
Ana is on the floor working on something/pulley with ratchets/tools. {I don't know what she's doing, but it looks like a pulley. That and the ratchet sound could be considered similar to one of the sounds related to the monster}

Locke wants to talk to "him".
Ana tells Locke that Jack has the gun, the door stays closed. She encourages Locke to talk to him through the door. Locke hobbles over to the armory on his crutches {one shoe on, one off. Watch Ana while he talks to Henry.}
Locke- "Henry can you hear me? It's John, Henry… Henry did you enter the numbers? Did you push the button or not? Henry, I need to know! I need you to answer me. Answer me!!!"
Fake Henry sits there grinning. {He has started something BIG!}

Back at the beach, Bernard is losing his recruits; he’s down to eight. They have been lugging those big black rocks.
Bernard, who is undeterred, says, "Moving on."
He instructs the rest on what he wants done. The letters have to be really big; 40 feet. The black rocks will get maximum contrast with the sand. They have to retrieve the rocks from the lava field that’s a half of mile inland.    He wants them to get the rocks in two man teams. Bernie will sketch the letters in the sand.
Hurley offers to sketch the letters, but Bernard reminds him that 'Everybody's got a job Hurley, I do my job, you do yours" {Yep! Jobs done in a distinct manor.}
Jin says something in Korean. Hurley somewhat interprets that Jin's not happy about carrying the rocks. {How did Jin know that's what Bernard's instruction was?}
Bernard tells Jin "ROME wasn't built in a day you know."
Let’s get started.
{Flash Whoosh}
Rose and Bernard are driving through the Outback.
Rose –“We’re lost.
Bernard- "You saying we're lost, doesn't make us lost, sweetheart. I know exactly where we are."
So does Rose, “Driving around in circles in the middle of the outback.”
That’s why she wanted to be on a beach for their Honeymoon. {Down under, the steering wheel is on the right side not the left.}
When they arrive at a farm/civilization Rose is heard saying-“Bernard must get directions.”
Bernard-"I don't need directions. I told you honey, we're not lost.
He explains why he brought her there.  He wants her to see Isaac of Uluru, the faith healer who's helped hundreds of people.  Bernard insists he's legit; the real deal.  Bernard received three separate calls recommending him after informing people of Rose’s situation.     Bernard donated $10,000 to get Rose in. {Bernard in Plaid. License plate- MRL-724}
Rose gets upset that this is why Bernard brought her to Australia; to bring her to this kook. "I didn't ask for this!"
Rose has made her peace with what's happening to her but Bernard hasn't.  He can't just do nothing! That’s not who he is. He asks her to try, for him.

At the beach Bernard is still trying to recruit folks to help him. He asks Sawyer for help but his answer is no.   Rose is filling up water bottles and heard him asking for help.
Bernard started with 15 people, now he's down to four. He expected her support.

 Rose suggests people may be quitting because "Maybe you got yourself a management problem." {Is that like a Locke problem?!}
Bernard is pissed at her not wanting to help get them rescued.
Rose wonders why can't Bernard just let things be.
Bernard- "If I didn't always have to do something, you wouldn't be here.”
Rose walks away. {Oh really!}

In the jungle, Jack and Karen, I mean Kate is on their trek.    Jack admits to asking Sayid to come with him first, but he turned him down.    Jack asked Kate, because they don't want her.   They don't want him either.  Damaged goods, both of them! {Maybe Jack knows they don't want Sayid either.}
Kate reaches down to pick up a doll that is missing an eye. It's a trap! Jack tries to stop her but it's too late; they’re both hanging together in a net from the tree.
Jack feels it's not one of “Theirs”.
Kate- “Not sophisticated enough. Must be one of Rousseau's traps. Hopefully she’s not far from here.”
Jack says that it'll be a week before she shows up. {How the fuck does he know her schedule?}  Kate's going to use the gun and shoot the rope to release them. {She grew up hunting with her dad.}
Kate shoots, and misses! It's Jack's turn. He can waste another bullet because he still has “13 more to shoot each other with." {WTF?} Jack very, very confidently makes the shot! YEAH!!! They fall to the ground.

Back at the beach Bernard yells at Jin, who is the last one standing.   Bernard demands three rows of rocks so they can see it from the air.   Jin answers in Korean.
Bernard pleads with Jin; he just wants to get Rose home.
Jin says "Sorry" in English, and leaves Bernie to his project.

Locke is sitting at the beach and Rose walks over.  He's in her spot! {Uh huh}
John-"I can move."
She sarcastically joking asks "Can you?"
She guesses his sense of humor got trapped under that door with his leg.
Locke comments he saw her husband in the jungle hauling rocks.
Rose tells Locke about the big sign in the sand Bernard is building "So the satellites will see it. That man doesn’t know the difference between an errand and a fool’s errand.”
Locke seems amused, “Well Rose, most of us don’t.”
Rose can't remember the last time she saw John out of that hatch.
Locke is done with the hatch.
Rose feels he's just frustrated, "You'll be out of that splint and running around the island again in no time." {Sure will!}
Locke- "And yet Jack said it would be at least four weeks." {I heard Jack say a couple of weeks not four. AH! But what do I know?}
Rose- "But Honey, You and I both know it's not gonna take that long." {Those two know lots of things!!}
{Flash Whoosh}

{The crutches hanging here remind me of the "roots" on the "Island"}

Rose is led in to meet Isaac the “healer”.
There are crutches, canes and walkers all over the place!
Thank you notes cover the walls.

Rose asks Isaac how this works; does he chant or pray or what?  Isaac explains to Rose that there are certain places with great energy, spots on the earth; like the one they're above right now.  Perhaps its geological, magnetic or something else. He  can harness this energy and give it to others.
{Note Isaac has two different eyes.}
Isaac closes his eyes and hovers his hands around her head.  Rose just watches him do his thing.  He tries to heal Rose but he can't do anything for her. Rose didn’t expect him to.
Isaac tells her "It doesn't mean that you can't be healed. Like I said, there's different energies. This is not the right place for you {Gee, she must NEED to go to the “Island”.}
Rose wonders, “Where is the right place?”
Isaac-“
I wish I knew.”
Rose will tell Bernard that "You fixed me"
Rose watches Bernard through the window talking to a little girl on crutches.
{Flash Whoosh}
In the rainy jungle Jack questions Kate what she meant back there in the net; that "they were sophisticated, the Others".
She mentions that last week when the baby got sick, she and Claire went into the jungle and found another hatch; a medical station. It was all cleared out. But there were lockers with dirty worn clothes on hangers, like costumes, make up kit, fake beard. She was going to tell him all this when he decided to let her back in the club. {WHAT CLUB?} He kept one of them locked up in the hatch for like a week and said nothing…
Jack tells her, "We're here". {Okay! That time he was there it was fucking DARK! Now it's daylight and raining!} You can actually see him recall events from that night including "There is where I laid my guns down".
Jack starts yelling for them! He is very focused and pleased with this.
"HEY! HEY I'M BACK! YOU SAY YOU'RE WATCHING US! YOU HEAR ME! WE'VE GOT YOUR MAN! IF YOU WANT HIM BACK YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO COME OUT HERE! COME ON OUT! I KNOW YOU'RE OUT THERE! I KNOW YOU CAN HEAR ME! I'LL BE RIGHT HERE UNTIL YOU TALK TO ME! I'LL BE RIGHT HERE!
{You can hear Kate say they're not here.}

At the beach Rose brings Bernard supper. He is working alone moving the black rocks. Rose asks where everybody is.  Bernard looks very worn out.
Rose apologizes to him for lying about Isaac healing her. "He didn't heal me. He didn’t do anything."
But she is healed!

We see Rose in the airport sitting next to Bernard. He has a ticket in hand.
Rose- "When you're sick and you've got something inside you that doesn't belong there, you can feel it. And after the crash, I couldn't feel it anymore. At first I thought it was just shock, but it wasn't. It's this place."
She told that lie so that they could spend whatever time they had left without Bernard trying to “do something.
Bernard feels maybe she's in remission. How does she know she’s not?
We see Rose take meds of her bag; one bottle falls. Locke, in a wheelchair, picks it up for her. {Flash Whoosh}
Rose-"Trust me. I know."

Bernard realizes that Rose doesn't want to be rescued. "You think if you leave, it'll come back. And if you can't leave, then neither can I. We won't ever leave Rose."
They hug, I cry!  Bernie would offer to take down the sign but they didn’t get very far with building it.

In the hatch, Locke is smiling, listening to a record; These Arms of Mine. {Same song as Rose and Bernard.}
Ana walks in and tells Locke with happiness that she pressed his button.
Locke-"It's not my button." {Ana smiles. She knows whose button it is.}
Ana- Where’d you go?”
Locke, after needing to stretch his legs on his crutches, hobbles back into the computer room to work on his blast door map. He seems more confident, focused and happy now. {The words on the paper he is drawing on, is in French.}

Eko and Charlie are working on the church in the dark.
Sun and Jin are tender with each other.
Claire is playing with Aaron.
Hurley and Libby are making shadow puppets.
Vincent finds his way to lonely Sawyer and eats right out of his hand.
Bernard and Rose are romantic by the fire.

In the jungle, tired Kate asks Jack how long he's going to wait. When his voice comes back, he'll yell some more.
Jack feels “They can hear me.”
Kate apologizes for kissing him. Apparently he’s not sorry.
They hear a twig snap and footsteps run through the jungle. They see a lit torch and hear hurried labored breathing.
Michael falls out of the jungle!

S.O.S. is a GREAT EPISODE!!!!
Dark and light. Rose and Bernard tied to the "Island".  Yes! But how?  They know exactly where they are.
Is Bernard a recruiter of some sort, or a guide? Who the hell is he, just a Tailie?!    Rose is important. Was Rose recruited or part of a medical study there?    Is cancer a byproduct of tests or experiments on the Island? Did she even really have cancer? Did she get "healed" by the “Island”?
What about Locke?  He and Rose share a major connection.
The metaphor of the "crutch" is great!   These emotionally lost people do indeed have "crutches".
I must note that sometimes I feel that when Locke is talking to other people, i.e. Henry, Eko, Rose, Jack, etc. that he’s really talking to himself.

Things to Note...Questions to ask...
☯ Trade. Deal. Cost. Worth. Boundaries. Line. Value.
☯ Record. Log. Stick. Map. Numbers. Button. Computer. Net. Crash.
☯ Is Rose a different “energy”?
☯ Have Rose and Bernard known each other for forever? I feel they will stay on the Island.
☯ The hatch is painted a “rose” color.
☯ Remission is a "holding pattern" of sorts.
☯ Clues and ties to the monster and Locke.
☯ Satellites more important than planes. Other planes as in levels, perhaps.
☯ Jack and Kate experts on traps made by others. HA!
☯ Is something BIG being built on the "Island" besides Eko's church of sticks?
☯ Rose knows that they belong on the "Island". Rose and Locke are aware Bernard is wasting his time. Could Locke taking over Roses spot? LOL!!
☯ Locke is done with the hatch! He's moved on to something else. Drawing the blast door map!
☯ French and Greek clues.
☯ One of them= what?...Whom?
☯ And then there's Michael! HA!
☯ Fake. Isaac the healer. Costumes, theatrical makeup, beards.
☯ In Lockdown John gave Helen a box with an engagement ring and asked her to marry him.
☯  It is NOT John Locke's button.
The little girl on crutches Bernard speaks to… Is she someone who is going into to see Isaac in hopes of being healed? Or proof that he is a fake?

This episode hit close to home for me, more than you’ll ever know.   Here I can relate to exactly why Rose won’t entertain the idea of leaving.   If only there really was a beautiful place to go to feel safe, to find inner peace, be free from fear, guilt and sickness,  I’d be on the first flight there.    It seems as if deep emotional and physical pain and challenges can this only be “fixed” on "this Island” and through the new challenges the “Island” presents.

Back to Bernard's sign...It is very possible this is really a “sign” that “something” is going to happen again.
So...S.O.S... Same Ol Shit!

Understood? Good. Let the fun begin!I'll only note things that I know come up as clues later, but need to be noted when they first show up and things I find that will be of importance. It will get very exciting as we progress into the story.

Live Together, Die Alone. Part 1

Let's talk about LOST! Live Together, Die Alone. PART 1.

"Are we rescued/saved?" asks Charlie as they all see the boat out in the water. The survivors all wave their hands in hopes of getting the attention of someone on the boat.
Sayid-"Perhaps it's them." {Whom?}

Sayid, Sawyer and Jack dive in and swim out to the boat.
Kate looks through binoculars. {They're at a funeral and Kate happens to have binoculars.}
Charlie- "Maybe it's a trap?"
Hurley-"What do you mean a trap?"

Jack, Sawyer and Sayid climb on board and cock their soaking wet guns. The 3 amigos hear Opera music coming from below.

Shots are fired upward from below.
They hear the gun run out of bullets and a voice say, “Damn it.”
Jack kicks in the boat’s hatch.
Drunk Desmond looks up, "You."
He laughs in amusement.{We get a glimpse of Sawyer's healed gunshot wound on his left shoulder}

Nigh on the beach:
Jack brings over food and talks to a still drinking/drunk Desmond.
Jack chats with Des about him running off and that he forgot to mention that he still had a sailboat.
Jack- “Why’d you come back?
The drunk replies, "Do you think I did it on purpose?”
Desmond tells his tale of sailing out there for 2 ½ weeks, bearing due west, making 9 knots, he should've been in Fiji in less than a week. The first piece of land he saw wasn't Fiji; it was here, this island. He continues, "Because this is it. This is all there is left. This Ocean and this place here. We're stuck in a bloody snow globe. There's no outside world, there’s no escape."
Desmond wants Jack to go away and let him drink.
Sayid gets Jack’s attention.
Desmond asks Jack, "You still pushing it?
Jack smiles, "Yeah, we're still pushing it."
Desmond shakes his head as if to imply they’re idiots.
{FLASH}
BUZZZZ!!!
Desmond stands at the counter in a military prison.
The soldier/guard is returning Desmond’s personal property to put in a brown paper bag. {A set of keys, pocket watch-gold plated, 1 photograph w/Penny, one book 'Our Mutual Friend' by Charles Dickens. {Hardcover}
{Over the speaker you can hear, Corporal Priestly 9 1….}
The Guard asks him why he didn't bring the book inside.
Desmond-"To avoid temptation, brother.”   He's read everything Mr. Charles Dickens has ever written, every wonderful word, every book, except this one. He's saving it. It will be the last thing he reads before he dies.
The Guard
- "That it's a nice idea, as long as you know when you're gonna die." {Does he know when he's going to die? Nobody knows that! How would he know when to start reading it?}
The guard proclaims, "Lance Corporal Desmond David Hume, your sentence is hereby complete. You are now and forever Dishonorable Discharged from the Royal Scots Regiment of her majesties armed forces. Long live the queen."
A date on discharge paper April 4, 1999. The guard tells Desmond to "Enjoy your sodding book!" {Does he know Desmond is going to die? LOL!}

Desmond leaves the building with his paper bag.
Thunder rolls and it’s pouring rain.
Building 5B and sign that says Southway Garrison. B Company.
Desmond is offered a ride by a man in a fancy car {Mr. Widmore}. Desmond initially refuses the ride from him. Widmore tells Desmond to “Get in the car!”
Sitting in the back seat Desmond notices Widmore has a black box and a white box, “Did you bring me a present?”
Actually Widmore brought Desmond two presents. “One of these boxes contains your past, Hume, the other, your future.”
Desmond opens the black box containing all the undelivered letters he wrote to Penny (who he calls Pen).
Desmond is upset, “You’re a bastard. You know that.”
Widmore feels that it’s good for Penny to have not received his sentiments. Now Penny believes Desmond has forsaken her and that’s the way it’s going to stay. Widmore shares Penelope has moved on with her life and will marry. Widmore opens the white box, "This is for your new life, away from my daughter. The conditions are simple. No contact, No calls, No post. You just run away."
Widmore feels Desmond would 'just' run away because he's a coward. {Coward from what?}

Back on the beach Desmond continues to imbibe.
Sayid talks to Jack about taking advantage of Michael being compromised by the Others, "I believe fate has given us our answer. The boat."
Sayid explains to Jack the camp Michael is leading them to is where the Others will set their trap. Michael will lead them by land, Sayid will approach by sea; he can go ashore undetected and scout for them. Their numbers and positions, their weapons. Then he will go to the nearest beach and start a signal fire with these leaves that burn a dark black smoke. {Oh really? Hmmm?} "You and your team will meet me at the signal and will go in together."
Sayid feels sure Michael has been turned and doesn't want the other three to know the plan. Sayid doesn't want Michael to sense they know he is lying, "All we have is the element of surprise, Jack."
Jack’s only responsibility is to keep it secret.
Jack-"Black Smoke, huh?"
Sayid nods, "This time they will know that we are coming." {This time!}

Locke limps into the computer room of the hatch. We hear the big magnet sound, computers running and clicking.
Eko, who is happy to see John, is looking over the log printouts from the Pearl Station.
The timer shows 5 minutes.
Eko asks John where he’s been.
John’s been thinking… in a minute that computer’s gonna start beeping and he wants Eko to "let the computer run down to zero, past zero. And you're not gonna push the button."
Eko smiles, “But I am going to push the button. Why wouldn’t I?”
Locke- "But you don't want to be a slave."
Eko-"I am a slave to nothing"
Locke
-"You're a slave to that. {points to the time/timer}Just like I was. So I'm going to tell you again…don't push it."
Eko- "Do not tell me what I can do."
As Eko is entering the numbers Locke attempts to smash the computer with Eko’s stick.
Eko grabs the stick before he can hit the computer with it he punches John in the face.
Eko enters the code.
Eko literally tosses Locke out of the hatch as Locke's yelling "No, it's not real! We're only puppets! Puppets on strings! As long as we push it we'll never be free".
Eko
-"Well you're free now, John. Do not come back."
Eko closes the door on Locke.

Daylight at the beach:
The boat is pretty far off shore.
Jack gives one armed Michael a gun. Jack tries to give Hurley a gun, but Hurley says, "No way. If I take that, I'm gonna kill someone."
The point of this excursion is to get Walt back.
Jack gives Kate a gun and she looks at it weird. She talks to Jack again about the stuff they found in the medical station, "Costume, makeup, fake beards. What if these people just want us to think they're hillbillies?"
Michael gets uppity, “Listen. Listen, I was there. I saw them, they are hillbillies! They live in huts, they eat fish. They’re probably more scared than we are and they have no idea we're on our way!"
Sawyer interjects, “Alright. Enough jibber jabber. Let’s Roll."
And they all roll.

ELIZABETH Newport Beach is the name and port city on the boat.
Desmond is rowing to shore.
Desmond and his bottle arrive at the beach. Sayid tells him he needs his boat. Sayid informs Des he's not going "out there"; he needs to get to the north shore quickly.

Desmond asks if he's off to see the Hostiles.
Sayid- "The what?"
Desmond-“You know what? Ignorance is bliss. The boat’s all yours, brotha." {WTF? So don't tell him any info that he may need to save his life or protect anyone? WHY? Maybe he's only worried about himself} Sayid admits he doesn’t know how to sail. Desmond suggests he find someone that does.
{Flash}
Desmond is at the counter buying a cup of coffee. {The color Yellow is obvious here.} He orders the one with the most caffeine in it {stimulant} He's just arrived and doesn't have any more American money; spent it all on a taxi.
Libby, who is behind him in line, pays for it. $4.00. Desmond jokingly asks her if she has 42,000 more of those.
Libby replies seriously, “Depends on what it’s for.” {Really!?} She feels he wasn’t joking about asking for money.
Des tells her about the Solo Sailing Race Around the World. The brochure cover shows us: International Open Ocean Racing Association. Notice of Race.
Desmond’s got 8 months to get in the best shape of his life.
Desmond adamantly tells her, "I'm going to win."
Libby wants to know what he gets if he wins. To Desmond, what matters is who he wins it from. He shows her the back of the brochure; a picture of Charles Widmore. Industrialist, Philanthropist. Sailing Competition.
He openly shares with this "stranger" the fact Widmore tried to buy him off, and when Des didn’t take his money Widmore took away the only thing in the world he ever truly cared about.
Libby- “Who is she?”
Desmond-“His daughter. I was unsuitable on several levels.”
Libby asks what the 42 grand is for. Desmond reveals he still needs a boat.
Libby looks stunned as she has a boat. It belonged to her husband. He wanted to sail to the Mediterranean but he got sick and passed away a month ago. She wants Desmond to have his boat. Desmond says he can't take it.
Libby- "You have to. He'd want you to have it." {WTF? Why would he want HIM to have it?}
Desmond asks what his name was. “David named the boat after her. {Elizabeth}
Desmond accepts the generous gift and says "I thank you, Elizabeth. And I shall win this race for love." {David -Desmond’s middle name and the formal of Dave. Elizabeth-Libby-Ellie.}

Back at the beach, Sun and Sayid talking. Jin comes over to have a private chat with Sun; Sayid will be at the shore. Sun tells Jin, Sayid wants him to sail the boat to the other side of the island to help Michael. Jin smiles but says no; he won’t leave her now. But he wouldn’t be leaving her because Sun’s going with them.

Michael leads the group through the jungle.
Sawyer sees a doll on the ground and almost falls into the ol dolly trap. Kate shares it’s one of the many traps Rousseau has throughout the island. Sawyer asks her how she knows that.
Kate shares the bit about her and Jack getting caught in a net. They hear what sounds like wings flutter/fly by them. A Big {Prehistoric size, camouflage bird} flies over them. Then sound/"HURLEY" coming from the bird.
Hurley-"Did that bird just say my name?"
Sawyer says yeah it did, and then sarcastically, "Right before it crapped gold." {That's interesting, only Hurley heard anything. Also note that the bird and Hurley blend in with the jungle.}

Michael is the only one pulling the trigger at the “bird”, except he realizes his gun has no bullets. Jack gives him a new mag and apologizes for forgetting to load his. Michael realizes that they may be onto him.

Charlie comes upon Locke crying in the jungle. Locke pulls himself together.
Charlie asks Locke what happened to his face. Nothing; Locke says he’s fine.
Charlie- “Hey ahh, you’re feeling sorry for yourself, you may wanna have a drink with your mate from the hatch. I hear he’s a little despondent as well.”
Locke- “What?”
That’s right, Locke wasn’t there for "Desmond's dramatic arrival at the funeral.
Charlie-“I think he’s pushed your button too many times, if you ask me.” {Charlie has attitude/eyes}.
Locke- “Desmond?”
Yep.
Charlie’s sure Locke and Desmond have a lot to talk about. Charlie gives a quiet chuckle then just walks away.

Sayid hides a gun on the small raft in a blue tarp.
Sayid says to Sun “I’m sorry if what I said was confusing but, I asked Jin to come.”
Sun explains you need at least two people who know how to sail and she'll translate. Sayid notes that Desmond managed by himself.
Sun-“And look where he ended up.” {Jin seems to have understood what Sun just said. Desmond’s boat is very far in the distance.}

At the beach, Claire is contemplating the whole pneumatic injector issue with the baby.
Desmond, still drinking his bottomless bottle of liquor, says "You're wasting your time sister. I shot myself with that stuff every 9 days for 3 years."

Desmond walks over to look at the “lovely” baby and asks, ”Is the father here on the island?”
Claire- “No. He’s been gone a long time.” She shares he walked off when he got scared over the situation.
Drunk Desmond thinks maybe the guy knew he’d be a lousy dad and did what was best for her. Insulted Claire replies, “He was doing what was best for him. “ {That is important, especially said in Desmond's company.}
{Flash}
At the stadium, Desmond is outside his car gearing up for a run. Jack pulls up in the background. {His tee-shirt has an emblem on the left side} Penny pulls up. {Jack runs up the steps.} Des is surprised but not shocked to see her.
Desmond-“How did you find me?
Penny was able to find him due to her affluence. "With money and determination, you can find anyone." She asks if he read his beloved book, the one he was saving.
Desmond- “Not yet.” She thought he might have read while he was away.
Des was he was in prison, “not away”.
Penny gets teary eyed and asks why he didn’t write to her. He doesn't give an answer to that question, just asks when she'll get married. They have yet to set a date.
Desmond-"I'll be back in a year."
Pen- "What if you were back right now?"
Desmond tells Pen that he's going to win this race, “his” race and in a year he'll be back.
Penny- “Desmond, what are you running from?”
Desmond- "I have to get my honor back. And that's what I'm running to." He runs off.

The beach at night:
Locke approaches Desmond {He's still drinking his bottomless bottle of liquor; finally finishes the Dharma Chardonnay and tosses it.} and asks, “So, what did 1 snowman say to the other snowman?"
Desmond, who seems happy to see him says, "Smells like carrots." {Des has a bottle of Dharma Merlot.} They both smile seemingly happy to see each other.
Locke- “Hello Desmond.”
Desmond-“Hello yourself Boxman.”
Locke shares a sip from the bottle. Desmond notes that he/Locke managed to fix the computer.
Locke- "The world's still here aint it?"
Desmond isn’t so sure about that.
Locke asks Desmond to refresh his memory. {YEAH!! Refresh it!}
Locke-"How long did you say you were you down in the hatch?"
Desmond- "Three years.”
Locke-"What if I told you that, for all that, all those years that you and all the men before you, were down there, pushing that button. What if I told you it was all for nothing?"
Desmond-"I’d ask ya how the hell you'd know something like that?"
Locke-"I found another hatch. Another station on the island. They called it the Pearl. And I saw a film there. An orientation film. And it said that everything that was happening in our hatch wasn't real. That it was a test. A psychological experiment." {"He" found another hatch! Eko did too!}
Desmond feels he's lying, so Locke presents the video tape to him.
Locke-"You want to take a walk? I'll make the popcorn."
Desmond gets mad, "You're so sure it's not real, then just stop pushing the button."
Locke says he has stopped, but someone else decided to start. He tells Desmond to sober up, "We're going to get a good night's sleep, tomorrow we're gonna find out what happens if that button doesn't get pushed."

Hurley sits starring at the campfire. Sawyer offers him a Dharma nutribar but Hurley’s not hungry.

Michael out in the jungle is breathing heavy, stressed and sweating. You can see he’s got some heavy thoughts on his mind. Jack asks is he’s alright. Michael tells him he’s just getting some more fire wood and that he’s not feeling too hot. Jack tells Michael he shouldn’t be out there alone; so he gives him a hand. Michael thanks Jack for coming out here, risking his neck for his boy.
Jack-" Live together, Die alone, man."
Michael-“Yeah.”
Daylight:
Sun, Jin and Sayid sail around the island. Sun pukes over the side of the boat. Jin remarks that he told her not to come. She says it’s not seasickness. {Seasick sailor.}
There’s something Jin wants her to see. Sayid is looking through binoculars.
They see a 4 toed statue in the water near the shore of the island.
Sayid-“I don’t know what is more disquieting. That fact that the rest of the statue is missing or that it has four toes.”

Eko is in the computer room of the Swan hatch. He is carving into his stick. {9 22 next to the word revelation. The log print out is underneath the stick with 9 22} the electricity is blinking and buzzing. The power goes out leaving him in the dark!
Something resets and things power back up. {You can hear winding up sound}

The countdown clock shows 101 00.
Eko, armed with his stick and flashlight, gets up to investigate. The hatch door is wide open. There is a humming sound. He sees that a fuse has been tampered with.
The static countdown with the woman's voice starts. 8… 7...6... We see Desmond handling some live wires trying to spark a connection. …5….4…. Locke enters the computer room.
The countdown clock shows 101 00. An alarm sounds and the blast doors go down!
Eko runs to try to get back to the computer. While trying to get in his stick ends up with Locke inside the blast door sealed computer room. Eko is locked out!
Locke tells Desmond that's a neat trick! {The whole making the blast doors go down thingy} Eko is yelling for John from the other side of the blast door. Desmond hopes that Locke is sure about this.
Locke- "I'm more sure about this than anything in my entire life." {Did they get a good night's sleep? Is this a day later? The same day?}
Des-"Alright then Boxman…we wait."
{Flash}
It's a very stormy night.
Desmond is on the sailboat in this storm. His boat is getting tossed around by the violent waves. He’s holding on to the wheel trying to keep control of the boat. He ties up the wheel with rope. Then Des heads below deck, grabs his 'Our mutual friend' book, seals it in plastic for protection, and wraps duct tape around the plastic.
Back on deck Desmond falls, hits his head and gets knocked out. {Yeah, didn't see that coming. LOL!}
Flashes of Desmond waking up face down on shore.

A man in a yellow chemical/environmental/HAZMAT protective suit and mask picks him up then drags Desmond through the jungle on a stretcher made form branches.
{Note that things are very blurry, jumbled and distorted! One person is perceived as 2 or more people.}
We then see Desmond lying in the bunk bed trying to get some clarity.
The man removes the book from Desmond's protective plastic wrap and throws the book! Then he begins to remove his protective gear as Desmond appears to watch him.
The man in the yellow suit whispers, "Are you him?…What did 1 snowman say to the other?" Desmond has no idea what this man is talking about.
This is Kelvin Inman. Inman says that he found Desmond washed up on the beach, there was no boat. Kelvin is wearing a Dharma jumpsuit with the Swan patch on it. The beeping starts.
Desmond follows him into the computer room.
Kelvin, half in/half out of his Hazmat suit, enters a code and the clock resets.
Desmond asks "What was all that about then?"
Kelvin, seeming to not give a shit says, "Just saving the world." {Kelvin walked by the same new washer/dryer that is in the hatch with the Castaways. How new/old are those appliances, really?}

Desmond is watching the orientation film on the reel to reel projector.
{Note the audio sounds backwards. Desmond stops then starts the projector and it fixes itself.}

The film: “Not long after the experiments began however, there was an incident. And since that time the following protocol has been observed. Every 108 minutes the button must be pushed. From the moment the alarm sounds you will have 4 minutes to enter the code into the microcomputer processor.” {Note Candle is in a room within a room and there is an EXIT}

Kelvin asks Desmond how many times he's going to watch that thing. {How many times? Hmm?!} Desmond asks why there are missing parts.
Kelvin mentions Radzinski (his partner) made some edits. Kelvin is suiting up to go outside. He uses Duct tape to make his suit airtight.
Desmond wonders what happened to his partner but he doesn't answer.
Kelvin wants Desmond to be sure to put the film back behindTurn of the screw’ when he’s done. Desmond asks why he wears that suit. Kelvin explains he wears the suit so he doesn't get infected out there. He gives Desmond the pneumatic injector and tells him to give himself a shot of this every 9 days, “You were out there a while before I found you. I hope it's not too late." {Manipulation-con}

In the computer room Desmond asks Locke, “Who is he, Boxman? The man out there pounding on the door.”
The timer shows 99 00. You can hear Eko pounding and yelling for John to open up the door.
John sits calmly, “His name is Mr. Eko.”
Desmond wants to know why Mr. Eko carries around a stick covered in scripture.
Locke says he's a priest.
Desmond- "We locked out a priest?"

Eko looks around; there’s a hum. He climbs out of the hatch and sees the blown open hatch door with the word Quarantine stamped on it.

Charlie is playing guitar on the beach. Eko runs up to him, “Charlie, do you know how they got the hatch door open?!”
Charlie- “No but if you hum it I can probably play it.”
Charlie reveals they blew it up. Eko needs Charlie’s help.
Charlie- "Oh now I'm back in your good graces, father?"
Eko frantically tells him about John locking him out of the hatch. Eko believes John is going to stop pushing the button. If John is successful, Eko is absolutely certain that in 90 minutes everyone on the island will die! {WOW!}
Charlie thinks about it for a few seconds, and says he's in.

In the jungle, Sawyer asks Michael if he thinks these Others are left over from the Dharma folk. Michael doesn't know.
Sawyer's theory is that they're aliens, “That's why they use the fake beards; their heads are made of prosthetic.”    Except he says the word prosthetic wrong and Hurley corrects him. Sawyer remarks about being corrected by a guy that can’t spell so he asks Freckles for her opinion.
Kate tells them to keep moving, “We’re being followed...Just keep smiling.”
Kate notes there are at least 2 of them across the river.   In 5 seconds she's gonna turn the tables on them. She asks Sawyer, “You in?”
Kate opens fire on them! One is dead, another is getting away. Kate wants to go after the one who got away. Jack says no.
Sawyer yells, “You crazy! You let him go they’ll know we’re comin'! He’ll warn them!”
Jack says it doesn’t matter if they catch him now, they’ve already been warned. He realizes Michael was indeed part of the set up. Jack knows Michael is lying and demands he tell everyone what he’s doing.
Michael reveals “It was the only way. They gave me a list…It had your names on it. I had to bring all four of you back or they said I’d never see my son again.”
Michael swears to Jack these people live in a camp with huts.
Jack takes the list from him. They now know Michael let Henry go, and killed the girls. He had to kill the girls, there was no other way. Killing Libby was a mistake; he didn’t have time to think. Hurley asks him if he had time, would he still have killed them. Michael is still claiming this is all about his son.
Upset Hurley says he's going back.
Jack talks him into staying. Jack apologizes for bringing them out there, but they have to follow the plan.
Sawyer wants to know “What plan?” {Apparently Jack has a plan.}

Sayid is on the boat, kneeling, praying.
Jin sees something through the binoculars. He leaves the wheel and shows Sayid some sort of rock structure. {Sun is at the wheel}
Sayid says that's the rock Michael described, "We're here."

Charlie and Eko are in the jungle looking for the spot that (Charlie says) Hurley showed the explosives he hid. Eko says they are running out of time. Of course Charlie finds the dynamite under leaves, wrapped in a blue/white beach towel.
Charlie warns him to be careful, “Dynamite is very unstable. Don’t handle it like Dr. Arzt.”
Eko brings the dynamite to the hatch.
Charlie is trying to get focused Eko to listen, “What if we hurt them or blow up the computer?”
Eko tells him he can leave now.
Charlie pleads with John beyond the blast door.
Desmond is twirling Eko’s stick.
Charlie says they should try to work this thing out. Charlie is trying to express to John that "Eko is very upset” and they should open the door and talk about it. Eko is running the fuse line. Charlie tells John Eko is going to blow open the blast door with dynamite from the old ship in the jungle.
Desmond tells him not to bother. It would take an atom bomb to do the job.
Locke-“You sure it’ll hold?”
Desmond looks at a damaged/crushed metal cart,Aye. I’m sure.”
{Flash}
Desmond is playing with 2 wires to start a connection. {The electronic woman’s voice counts down.}
The timer shows 9100 When the countdown reaches 3…2…1… Des makes the Blast Doors go down for the lockdown. He smiles when the blast door can’t completely crush a metal cart.
Kelvin is pouring laundry detergent out into a measuring cup. {He mixing up stuff to act as invisible/glow ink}
Desmond asks how he knows where he left off from.
Kelvin inspects the blast door, “Slowly, Des.Very, very slowly.”
Kelvin paints the Blast Door Map. He says this whole baby was Radzinski's idea. He has a photographic memory. Radzinski also figured out how to fake a lockdown and created this great invisible map.
Desmond considered these tales about Kelvin’s former partner.
Kelvin shows Desmond a brown stain on the ceiling, "That's Radzinski."    Radzinski put a shotgun in his mouth when Kelvin was asleep. {Sam Toomey also killed himself this way} Kelvin only had 108 minutes to bury the poor bastard.
Desmond- “Well, if you don’t want me to go crazy, next time let me go out.”
Kelvin- "What? You want to go out there with the quarantine and the hostiles?”
Desmond says he hasn't been outside for two bloody years, “Yes, I wanna go. I was in the Army for god sake.”
Kelvin mocks him- "Oh yeah, Her Majesties army…Tell me Desmond, why did you leave that nice old ladies army. Oh, I remember now, you got kicked out because you couldn't follow orders?"
Desmond asks him why he left his army.
Kelvin shares with contempt, "Because men followed my orders. But then, thank god, I joined the Dharma initiative. Namaste. Thank you and good luck."
Desmond begs to go out just once.
Kelvin-"Sorry. You stay here and push the button. That's an order." {Is Kelvin still in a role of giving orders? Is he still in command of an Army? Hmmm? By the way, it’s a good thing Radzinski was the same size as Desmond. Otherwise he wouldn't have a Dharma jumpsuit to wear. HA!}

Back inside the hatch Charlie is still pleading with John. He tells John seriously he’s about to be detonated.
Charlie then talks to Eko, who is still working intensely on his explosives.
Charlie-"What if John's right? Maybe it's just some colossal joke. Just some old computer connected to nothing. Maybe it's a bunch of wires that…"
Eko rips off Charlie's belt and throws it against the Wall/magnet!
Eko- “Is that a joke?”
Charlie sees himself out and takes his belt too.
Eko tells John “This is your last chance to end this. Open the door and I will forgive you.”
Locke- “Forgive me for what?”
Eko blesses himself. Charlie, still in the hatch, begs Eko to wait and tries to talk him out of it. Tells him it's not a good idea, they're in a very confined area. Eko lights the fuse with Dharma matches. Charlie runs! The TNT blows!
{Flash}
Desmond wakes up to the sound of the alarm.
He calls out for Kelvin, enters the code in the computer resetting it. Desmond hears a voice coming from another hatch in the ground of the computer room. It’s drunk Kelvin under the computer room with a key.
Desmond goes down there.
We see Caution System Termination, failsafe key.
Kelvin is swinging the key on its chain like a pendulum, says he couldn't do it. He tells Desmond this is the only other way out partner. Failsafe, “Turn this key and this all goes away. Poof."
Desmond asks what's behind that wall, “What was the incident?”
Kelvin- "Electromagnetism. Geologically unique. The incident {he snorts a laugh) there was a leak. So now the charge builds up and every time we push the button, it discharges it. Before it gets too big. “
Desmond- "Why make us do it, push the button? If we could just…"
Kelvin laughs, "Here's the real question Desmundo. Do you have the courage to take your finger out of the dam? Blow the whole thing up instead?"
{Eko is at least willing to blow up something. LOL}

Live Together Die Alone Part 2.
