Let's talk about LOST! Three minutes.
13 DAYS AGO.
Locke is in the armory putting the guns in their place. Michael {In a plaid shirt, sleeves cut off} comes over to Locke and whispers, “I was hoping I could borrow one of these guns.”
Locke asks if it’s supposed to be a secret. Michael implies he’s whispering because Jack's sleeping.
Locke asks, "More target practice?"
Michael tells him, yeah; he just wants to stay sharp. Michael seems hurried; he looks at the expensive gold watch. {It’s not on his wrist. It was in his pocket.}
Locke notices that and asks him, "You got a date?"
Michael- "No. Old habits, you know."
Locke- "Yes I do."
He gives Michael a rifle. Michael grabs for a couple of the bullet boxes and purposely knocks over them over. Locke bends down to pick them up and Mike knocks him out. {There's a lot of knocking out of Losties. It looks like Michael takes a hand gun or something on the way out.}
Michael tries to communicate with"Walt/someone" on the computer. The screen only shows a small blinking green box. He frantically and randomly enters letters in an effort to spark some action.
Nothing happens.
He verbally asks, “Where are you?”
He back spaces all the random letters to clear them and types in…”You okay?”
Michael stares at the screen waiting for a reply.
The computer replies with- “ok. No time. Come soon?”
Excited Michael replies, “I’m ready. Coming NOW. You said north….{next line}…north WHERE?” Computer replies very fast: “when they take me out. there’s huge rocks with a hole in the middle by the beach you’ll know when you see.”
Michael replies, “It’s gonna be ok. I’m coming.”, as he verbally says, “I’m coming Walt.”
Jack calls out for “Locke.”
This startles Michael...the screen goes blank.
Michael, with this back pack and rifle, orders Jack to stay in the armory. Locke is still unconscious. Michael is going after his son and nobody is going to stop him. He feels it’s his right, a father’s right! Michael locks Locke and Jack up in the armory. {Jack has key around his neck.}
TODAY.
Michael {Wearing a rose color shirt} is holding a small rose/pink list in his shaking hand. He burns the list. Jack comes out of the hatch door and {NOT wearing the key around his neck} asks Michael “What are ya doing out here?”
Michael’s just getting some air.
Jack wants him to come inside, “We should talk.”
In the hatch we see two bodies wrapped in blankets.
Jack, Michael, Kate, Sawyer and red shirt, nervous Hurley is there.
Sawyer tells Jack they have 11 rifles/pistols total.
Jack- “That’s it?”
Sawyer reminds Jack, “In case you forgot, they' took five of em right off us.”
Jack asks how long to get to their camp.
Michael says if they leave now, move fast, “middle of the night tomorrow.”
Michael tells Jack, “Look, they have no idea I know where they are. They won’t be expecting us. So we get the guns, and we go. Right now, just the five of us.”
Jack feels five is not enough. Jack reminds Michael that he saw at least 20 of them, they’ve got 'our guns', and we’re not even sure if what you saw was…..' {Michael said he counted 22; And about their Hatch, They keep it guarded 24/7. 2 guards, 2 guns. And 2 guns is all I saw. They're barely armed. Most of them are old and half of them are women.}
Michael is fired up, “I know what I saw! We take too many people they hear us coming. I’m NOT TAKING A DAMN ARMY ACROSS THE ISLAND, Jack!”
Jack asks him, "Sure you're in the best place to be making decisions for all of us right now?"
Michael asks Jack if he's got a son? {hmmm?}
Hurley yells, "Their dead! Anna Lucia and Libby are dead. I mean we haven’t even buried them yet.”
Jack understands and says to Hurley, "Me and you will take Libby, OK?"
Kate and Sawyer will {take Anna Lulu}.
Jack tells Michael he should stay there, “We’ll bury them tonight…then we’ll figure out what’s next.”
Michael looks down at the blood on the floor.
13 DAYS AGO.
Michael is running through the jungle. He stops to take a drink from his bottled water and to check his compass; takes off running again.
In the middle of nowhere he comes upon a dude {Pickett} peeing! {That's' lovely!}
Michael pulls the rifle and tells him to put his hands up. The guy recognizes him as Walt's old man. Mr. Friendly is there. They try to capture Michael.
Two guns shots ring out when Mr. Friendly tries to grab him. We hear "We need him!"
They shoot at each other. {Michael has a handgun}
Mr. Friendly is able to knock Michael down by using a rock/sling and then he instructs them to "Bag him quick. His friends are right behind us."
TODAY.
One armed Michael cleans up the bloody floor. {The Dharma bucket is a clear/see-through bucket.} He doesn't hear Eko come in.
Eko took his muddy shoes off outside. He tells Michael they didn't find Henry. Eko admits to Michael that he's a priest.
Michael asks him if he believes in hell.
Eko kinda shakes his head no. We find that Eko worked in England.
As Eko helps clean up the bloody floor he shares a story of a little boy who waited in the back of the church. The boy confessed he had beaten his dog to death with a shovel; he was protecting his sister. {Michael listens. Eko cleans; wiping the blood, rinsing and wringing out the white cloth.} The boy wanted to know if he would go to hell for this. Eko tells the boy God will understand and forgive him as long as he was sorry. But the boy did not care about forgiveness, he was only afraid he did go to hell, that dog will be there waiting for him.
Michael {w/backpack, arm in sling} pukes in the jungle.
Jack was on his way back to check on Michael.
Michael he had to get out of there. He goes on to say, "I have to get my son back. It's gotta be like I said man. Just the five of us, otherwise it won't work. It won't work!… It's got to be the people that already know! ...You don't get to decide this! It's my son, it’s my call. And that's the way it has to be!"
Jack- "Then that's the way it'll be."
At the beach:
Claire wearing two shirts, is with the baby.
Charlie says hi to the “big guy” and asks if she's seen Eko.
Charlie tells Claire that he and Eko are building a church. Charlie gives Claire the case with the vaccine he got from the pallet. He says he doesn't know what we'd need a vaccine for but thought she and the baby should. {What does he know about a vaccine?} He shows her how to use the Pneumatic Injector; put it into your leg, it goes right in, quite painless…
Claire- "You seem to know a lot about it."
Charlie says he tried it, as he wanted to make sure it was safe before giving it to her and the baby. He feels fine; doesn't feel anything (from the injection).
Charlie tells Claire, "that you're supposed to give yourself a shot every nine days".
There’s enough there for her and the baby for a while. He leaves the case with her and asks, ”Hey, Claire. Do you think maybe you and I can, umm…”
Claire instantly gets distracted because she sees that Michael is back. {Check out Charlie!}
Jin and Sun {with a net} are surprised yet happy to see Michael.
Jin says a bunch of stuff in Korean to him. {Remember, Jin considers Michael his friend. Sun and Michael seem to have a connection.} They're ALL happy to see him. Off to the side Sun sees Kate digging graves.
Sun wants to know what happened, "Who...?"
Michael reveals they were murdered!
13 DAYS AGO.
At night bagged Michael is brought over to a campfire with Mr. Friendly.
Michael spits at Friendly.
Mr. Friendly won’t hold that against him, fair is fair, after all he took his boy.
Michael- “Where is he? You son of a bitch.”
Look at what Pickett found…He found Kate, who now has a hood/bag over her head. She was following her friends.
Pickett- "They were about a half of click behind us."
They gag Michael to silence him and ready the torches as Mr. Friendly is going to talk to "her people".
Jack, Locke and Sawyer are in the dark jungle. Locke feels they better head back but focused Jack just wants Locke to find the trail.
Locke-“I lost the trail.”
Jack is pissed, “You don’t just lose a trail. You just don’t wanna find him.”
Surprised Locke says, “Yeah. That’s right, Jack. I’ve been running through the jungle toward the sound of gunfire because I don’t care about Michael.”
Jack feels if they just turn around and go back they’re never gonna see him again; and that’s gonna be on them, “On you. And on me.”
Mr. Friendly tells Jack he’s exactly right.
Jack-“Who are you?”
Sawyer knows him to be the son of a bitch who shot him on the raft. Sawyer goes to take a shot at him, but a shot is fired at Sawyer.
Behind the scenes Alex explains to Michael, “It's okay. He's just delivering a message. He has to scare your friends to do it." {WTF? Why?}
Jack- “I don’t believe you.”
Mr. Friendly-:You don’t believe what?”
Jack thinks there’s “more of us than there are of you.”
Mr. Friendly feels that’s an interesting theory and yells “Light em up!” {Many torches are lit} He wants their weapons, tells them to turn around and go home.
Stubborn Jack refuses.
Mr. Friendly calls out, "Bring her out, Alex!”
Alex won't do it, so Pickett presents the hooded/bagged Kate to the guys.
Alex asks Michael if Claire's is okay; if the baby is okay, was it a boy or girl. Michael seems puzzled.
Curious Kate is revealed to the guys. The pissed off guys surrender their guns to Mr. Friendly. All the torches go out at the same time, Friendly picks the guns up and pushes Kate over to them. At the campfire Friendly announces his friends are going home; they give up Michael. Alex knocks out Michael. {Yeah, didn't see that coming. HA!}
TODAY.
On the beach Vincent {No collar} is alone with quiet Michael; he’s just petting the dog and thinking. {That DOG! Yep!}
Jack and Sawyer are at his tent getting the guns from his stash. Sawyer offers the Doc a drink. The Irish drink when somebody dies; Neither one of them are Irish. {Irish! HA! I wonder what they really are.}
Sawyer asks why Jack and Kate were gone all night.
Jack says they got caught in a net. {Yes they did get caught in a net, but they weren't in it all night!}
Sayid asks Jack if it’s true, “Henry’s gone?”
He wants in on the quest for Henry and the Others. The guys mention that Locke and Eko went out in the middle of the night but they haven’t seen either of them since.
Jack says no to Sayid’s wanting to help ‘finish this’.
Jack- "Michael wants to keep it small."
Sawyer is upset and tells Jack that even though Pipi Longstocking and the damn Grape Ape are ideal candidates for the dirty dozen, he wants to bring the red beret.
Jack again defends Michael's call.
Annoyed Sayid says "It's not his call, Jack, it's ours."
Sawyer hands Sayid a gun and says "Welcome aboard."
Jack walks off with the Halliburton case in hand.
In the quiet hatch Eko passes the humming magnet; it lifts/pulls his cross.
The beeping starts. Eko {with his stick} enters the code in the computer; resetting it. Eko is pleased.
108.
Just then Charlie wanders in and says to Eko, “So. You wake up in the middle of the night, you grab your Jesus stick, race off into the jungle. You don’t call, you don’t write.”
Eko apologizes saying he had work to do.
Charlie looks at wrist watch. {WTF? Does he have a date? Maybe he does! Is time important?} Eko kindly asks Charlie for a favor; to bring his things from the beach to the hatch. He's moving in.
Charlie wonders, "What about the church? We're supposed to be building it together, man."
Eko- "I'm supposed to do something different now."
Charlie, seeming insulted asks “what he's supposed to do?”
Eko- "Bring me my things."
Charlie tells Eko, "Bring your own things…. You better leg it, mate. Clocks ticking." {He points up to the timer. Somebody/something must be on a schedule. Timed.}
Charlie smirks as he leaves. The timer shows 107.
Michael packs fruit in his bag.
Sawyer comes over to tell Michael the good news about Captain Arab joining in too, “The Calvary rides at sunrise.”
Michael is pissed that Sawyer told Sayid. Sawyer figured if they're going to war it would be best to have the one guy who's been in a war, “Is that a problem?”
Troubled Mike says “No. It’s not a problem.”
Mike looks back to watch “problem Sawyer” walk away.
11 DAYS AGO.
Daylight.
Michael wants his captors to get off of him.
Mr. Friendly asks him, “You got a problem, Michael?”
The Others have been marching Michael day and night without any rest. The problem is Mike is tired. Mr. Friendly would offer to knock him out and carry him but, “We’re here!”
They bring Michael to the big rock with the hole. {It literally looks like a jigsaw puzzle piece. Don’t you think?}
The Others camp:
They walk by people working on their huts, two guards at the hatch doors, three people with a fishing net. {You can hear a crow in the background!}
The Others are not wearing shoes. They sit Mike down and Mr. Friendly instructs Alex to “Tell her we’re here.”
Pickett, not being able to promise this wont hurt, takes a blood sample from Michael.
Michael- "Taking some blood for what? Who are you people? Where's my son?"
Pickett finishes drawing blood, bags it in a plastic baggie and tells Michael, "See you in the funny pages" {OMG! Great clue!}
Miss Klugh strolls over and introduces herself. She was hoping he might help her answer some questions about Walt.
Miss Klugh- “Is he your biological son?” {Michael doesn't answer!}
Miss Klugh-“Are you his father?”
Michael- "Yes." {He answers yes to that one.}
Miss Klugh- “How old was he when he started speaking?” {Mike is flustered and his attempt at words are choppy.}
Miss Klugh- “Did he have illnesses growing up? Headaches, fainting spells?”
Baffled Michael says "What? No! I don't…I wasn't there. He was ½ way around the world. Why are you asking me these questions?!”
She cuts him off to ask. "Did Walt ever appear in a place he wasn't supposed to be? You say he was ½ way around the world, but did you see?"
Michael doesn't answer this question he just demands to see Walt.
Miss Klugh feels, "For someone who wants his son back so badly, you don't seem to know much about him Michael." She gets up.
TODAY.
{Before we see Sayid we hear something. A gun being cocked?}
Sayid is putting papers in his backpack.
Michael comes over to tell Sayid, “You're not coming.”
Sayid with a gun in his hand welcomes Michael back.
Michael knows Sawyer told him but, “It’s not gonna work. You’re not coming.”
Sayid wants to know why.
Michael-“Cause you’re going after the guy who escaped. And I’m going after my son.”
Sayid wonders if Michael’s implying that he’d let a desire for revenge compromise Walt’s safety. Mike is getting tense, he outright says, “I’m implying that I decide who stays and who goes! And you stay!"
Michael realizes his own attitude and adjusts it. He calmly tells Sayid he knows Sayid wants to help but he’s gotta do this his way.
Sayid compassionately shakes Michaels hand and says, "Of course. Good luck Michael."
{Note the antenna thingy leaning against Sayid's tent.}
Charlie {Wearing the black/white/check (vans) sneakers.} tries to continue work on the church but seems to be having difficulty working alone. Vincent the wonder dog brings him a Virgin Mary statue. {The fucking dog actually wants him to take the statue!}
Charlie asks Vincent, “Are you kiddling me? Did someone put you up to this?”
Vincent runs off and leads Charlie to Sawyers tent and stash with the statues. Charlie takes them and throws them into the water.
Locke {splint on leg and crutches}, sitting alone, looks on as he does this.
Sawyer and Jack are in the hatch.
Jack stops at the computer room and says to Eko, “You were supposed to come right back. You were out in the jungle all night. What happened?”
Eko tells Jack they were unable to find Henry's trail.
Jack wonders where Locke is.
Eko- “I do not know.”
Jack says they will bury the girls at sunset.
Eko will morn them in his own way. Eko just keeps his eye on the countdown clock. {WTF? He's the only priest on the island! He won't oversee the funeral? Come the fuck on!}
Jack and Sawyer go through the guns and ammo. {There’s a lot of it.} Sawyer asks who is gonna talk at the funeral. Jack is sure Hurley will want to say something about Libby.
Sawyer never knew Ana Lucia's last name; But Jack did.
Jack-"Coretz."
Sawyer admits to screwing Ana. That's how she stole the gun; she jumped him.
Sawyer- “We got caught in a net.”
He's telling Jack all this because he feels like Doc’s the closest thing he's got to a friend and because she's gone. {Who's gone? Ana Lucia? He screwed her once! He's that heartbroken? Give me a break}
Sawyer-"Well. At least now we get to kill somebody."
At the beach, Hurley and Kate {She's wearing 2 shirts. Note the two blanketed bodies cooking in the hot sun. lol} dig two graves.
Michael walks over and asks Kate if Jack filled her in on the plan.
Kate- “What plan?”
They’ll leave first thing tomorrow morning, cross the island to their camp. He asks Hurley if he's coming with them.
Hurley wonders, "Why would I want to go?"
Michael trying to bait Hurley- "Because they killed her. What do you say Hugo?" {Michael calls him HUGO! Hurley doesn't even blink at it!}
Hurley says he's sorry about Walt but he's not going. Mike wants to continue to manipulate Hurley in to going but Kate stops him. Michael helps to dig.
3 DAYS ago.
The Others hut camp at night:
Michael is tied up and sleeping in one of their huts. Miss Klugh comes in to bring him dinner.
Michael asks her when are you going to do it; kill me. “I've seen where you live. I know how to get here. You have been asking me questions I don't know answer to for a week. I don't even think my son is alive." {He's been there a week?}
Miss Klugh says he is alive and is standing outside right now.
Mike-“What do you think I’m stupid?”
Miss Klugh goes on to reveal, "There's been a development since you came here, Michael. One of our people was captured by yours."
Mike doesn’t care, “So go get him back.”
Apparently they can’t do that, but Mike can.
Miss Klugh - "If you do, we'll let you and Walt go free."
Michael demands to see Waaaaaaaaaallt!! Pickett brings in Walt. Miss Klugh tells them they have three minutes.
Walt enters and looks very nervous. Klugh gives him a ‘you better watch out look.’
Mike-“Did they hurt you?”
Walt tells Michael that they make him take tests. Miss K warns Walt they're not going to talk about that.
Walt asks "How's Vincent?" {The wonder dog!}
Michael tells him that the dog is great and he "misses you. Don't you be scared…. It's gonna be over real soon.”
Walt warns Michael, "They're not who they say they are! They're pretending!"
Miss K threatens to put Walt in the “room” again. {What room?}
Michael wants to know, pretending what?
Miss K ends their reunion. Walt breaks free from Pickett and runs over and hugs Michael, says "Help me. Don't leave me. I love you."
Michael is breaking down, crying; he loves Walt too. Walt is removed.
Miss K tells Michael, "After you release our man, I’m gonna need you to do something else.”
Desperate Michael will do whatever she wants.
She writes four names down on yellow note paper; four of your friends. “I need you to bring them here. You have to bring only these four people. Michael, just them. If you don't bring all the people on the list, you'll never see Walt again.” {She just said if they get their guy back, he and Walt can go free.}
Michael wants to know what to tell them. She says it doesn't matter, make up a story; they'll be angry enough to believe whatever you say. {WOW!!!!!!!} Michael looks at the list and realizes he doesn't know James Ford. She informs him, he knows him as Sawyer. Michael knows the rest of them.
Michael wants his and Walt’s freedom and the boat! {The crap boat they took Walt away with? That's a piece of shit! It's not meant for open water.}
The beach residents make their way to the funeral. Sawyer stands right at the edge of the two graves. {Why is Sawyer seemingly upset over Ana Lucia? Maybe it’s not Ana he’s upset about.} Kate comforts Hurley.
Locke sits away from them and cuts away the splint from his leg freeing himself and leaves his crutches as he walks off. {I love Locke! Where is he going? Does he remember/know something?}
Jack shares with Sayid "when the plane crashed I was on my way to LA to bury my dad. Seems like such a long time ago now. He was going to go right from the airport to the cemetery, “I had no idea what I was gonna say….Here we are again." {YES! You are here again!} Sayid reveals to Jack he thinks Michael has been compromised; his actions are not those of a man who is telling the truth. Sayid believes a Father would do anything for his son, and believes Michael may have freed Henry and believes Michael is leading you into a trap. {Sayid believes a lot.} Sayid also believed Henry was one of them. Sayid suggests let Michael continue to believe he's in control, so we can create an advantage. They have one more night to figure out how to create such an advantage.
Jack speaks at the funeral about Ana. Jack tells everyone before they “crashed” Ana Lucia Cortez was a police officer. {She was? I thought she wanded people at airport security? Hmm?}
Jack- “Rest in peace, Ana.”
Sawyer is still standing at the edge of the graves looking a bit dismal. Hurley speaks about Libby; she was a psychologist or psychiatrist, one of those. "Either way, she probably helped a lot of people. She helped me. She was my friend. It's not fair that this happened to her. It's not. Hurley looks right at Michael and says he's going.
Claire takes hold of Charlie's hand.
Sun sees a boat in the distance and says "Boat."
They all see the boat in the distant water.
Three Minutes is great episode! Important in fact.
I've always questioned Michael being Walt biological father. I guess it still safe for me to feel that. What does Michael know about Walt, really? Again, if Walt can show himself, why wouldn't Walt show himself to Michael? Why do via computer? Besides that, the computer is NOT supposed to be used for anything but entering the code. Why is Michael exempt from this rule?
What does Michael really know about the "Island" and the "people" on it? What important role does he have with the "Island"? He must be very important. I think he knows lots. He knows where the 'Others' live and how to get there. Bear with me, I may be over thinking it, I admit it, but...Could he know where the "Island" is, and how to get to "it"? Then there's the bit with Michael wanting the Other's boat, and a boat appears to the beach crew.
Things to note…Questions to ask...
* Michaels' 13 days.
* Charlie and the vaccine. He is very comfortable with the device. Could he already be familiar with it? Don't laugh, it's possible.
* The rock with the big hole…Could that have been part of a ruin, an old structure? Is it more of a clue to the black rock? Just a prop?
* The Others don’t wear ‘shoes'. Is this to keep up with the ratty look they're going for? Maybe it is because they are on sacred ground? Again, taking shoes is off is a practice of respect for holy land or building, structure, temple, etc. Could the ratty clothes be only costumes or are they work clothes too? Then again, it is noted Eko was shoe-less.
* Is Pickett's comment to Michael about seeing him in the funny pages a clue to him being in the newspaper or a reference to the comic book? I still feel the comic book is a source of clues. The comic book reference comes up all the time.
* Charlie can show two different attitudes at times. It really makes me think..two faced or two....YEAH!!
* Charlie and Eko supposed to be building a 'church' together. Again, maybe those two are supposed to build/do something else. Maybe they are!
* The importance of Vincent! Who/what is Vincent really? What is the purpose of 'the dog'.
* Michael’s arm in a sling. Mr. Friendly uses a sling to shoot the rock at Michael. Charlie wears a sling backpack.
* Sawyer’s stash contains “vices” or “crutches” belonging to some of the Losties.
* Jack turns down a drink. Charlie gets rid of the statues. Locke literally leaves his crutches behind.
* Two versions of the note written by Miss Klugh. One Rose/Pink paper, the other yellow paper.
* Net. Click. Escape. Crash. Could this be referencing a computer/online?
Vocabulary and Research...
* In "BULLET CHESS" the game is played under three minutes.
* The First Three Minutes, a modern view of the original universe. By Steven Weinberg.
* Pneumatic is a Greek word the issue of pressurized gas to work in science and technology.
Three Minutes…. Walt's three minute visit with Michael gives us lots of answers. People pretending, test taking, special room, and Vincent. What can happen in three minutes? We are in the midst of a war game of sorts. This game is full of trades and deal making. But who is against whom? This must not be an open ended game…it’s on a timer. Is this our three minute warning? My next question is...WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?!

Disclaimer: I never claim to know everything about the show and my thoughts by no means make me right. The things I share here are my views and/or opinions. I don't claim to catch every single detail either. You all know I hate spoilers, and I stand clear of reading certain sites as to not take me off my own course of research. The one thing I don't need to do here is rehash all of the obvious clues from an episode, we all know what they are. Understood? Good. Let the fun begin! I'll only note things that I know come up as clues later, but need to be noted when they first show up and things I find that will be of importance. It will get very exciting as we progress into the story.

Live Together, Die Alone. Part 2.
Let's talk about LOST! Live Together, Die Alone. Part 2
Inside the computer room:
Desmond with his ear to the door tells Locke, "I think your friends just blew themselves up brother."
He suggests they open the door.
Locke- "It's a trick!"
Desmond feels Locke they could be hurt; asks “Is your doctor is around?“
Locke doesn't know where he is.
The clock shows 33 00 and the computers are still working.
Desmond asks Locke if the reason he's letting the clock run all the way down to the very last tick, "Is it because you need to look down the barrel of a gun and find out what you really believe, John."
Locke tells him he did look down the barrel of a gun, and he believed, "I thought, was my destiny to get into this place. And somebody died, a kid. Because he was stupid enough to believe that I knew what I was talking about. And on the night that he died, for nothing, I was sitting right up there, all alone beating my hand bloody against...that stupid door, screaming to the heavens what I should do. Then a light went on. I thought it was a sign. But it wasn't a sign. Probably just you going to the bathroom.

Sayid on shore discovers the others "Fake abandoned camp".
There’s a Dharma symbol on the double doors.
Sayid opens a Dharma door that is built into the rock, only to reveal actual rock behind the door and not an open entrance to anywhere.

Kate brings Jack’s attention to a huge mound of pneumatic tubes filed with notebooks; journal entries filled with handwritten notes.
Kate reads a few entries. “0400 S R moves Ping Pong table again, 0415 takes a shower.” {Who/what is SR?}
Sawyer finds Locke’s blast door map and hands it to Jack.
Sawyer gives Jack the heads up to seeing Sayid’s black smoke signal to hit that beach party.

Jack figures the signal smoke is miles from here. It isn't coming from the area they assumed it should be coming from. Jack asks Michael where he's taking them.
Michael says they are headed to the beach.
Angry Jack knows they are nowhere near the beach.
Michael yells back that he had to.
They all hear whispers/Elizabeth. The group is ambushed; they’re shot at with darts. Sawyer is hit; he convulses. They try to run away.
Michael yells "Wait!” in an effort to stop the craziness.
Kate is shot with a dart. Jack tries to carry Kate to safety.
Hurley is traumatized by all this commotion, he tries to block them out! The darts take them down and puts them to sleep. The Others bag them.
The clock in the computer room is at 21 00.
Locke shares more about the Pearl Hatch/station with Desmond.
"The Pearl is a psychological station full of TV monitors. And two men sat in viewing chairs and filled notebooks with observations on what happens in here. And they put the notebooks in pneumatic tubes that send them back to their headquarters so they could evaluate us, as an experiment." {Note Locke says "US" not the study subjects or any reference to anyone other than them!}
Desmond asks him what if he's got it backwards {Backwards!} "What if the experiment wasn't on the two men in here, but the two men in there?"
Desmond wants to see the tape.
John tells him there's no way to see it down here. Desmond wonders what the computer in the Pearl was for. Locke mentions it printed out numbers “Lots and lots of numbers.”
Locke gives Desmond the Log, "Reading material for the next 19 minutes. Knock yourself out.” {Yes! Knock yourself out!!! Literally!}
Desmond looks through the log. Lots of numbers, followed by the word accepted.
{Flash}
Desmond looks at himself in the mirror in the bathroom {A Mirror with the picture of him and Pen in the bottom left corner. Yeah Penny/Widmore and a mirror.}

Kelvin notes that Desmond has been shaving everyday for last three years, “You need to live a little. Let go.”
{Kelvin is suiting up and reinforcing his suit with tape.}
Desmond- “I’m never gonna let go, brotha.”
Kelvin says that’s the spirit, “Goodbye, Des.”
Desmond seems concerned by this ‘goodbye’.
Kelvin says he'll see him in a couple of hours. Desmond notices a large rip in the right leg of Kelvin’s yellow suit. He now realizes Kelvin hasn't been completely honest about things. Kelvin isn't sick/infected.
Desmond quietly follows Kelvin outside and watches Kelvin remove his mask; so Des removes his. Everything is fine.
Kelvin leads Desmond to the discovery of his boat; the Elizabeth.
Kelvin armed with a gun, appears behind Des and says, "I didn't think you'd have the stones to come after me. I was a spook for 10 years, Des. I know when I'm being followed." {He intentionally led Des to the boat.}
Kelvin says he's fixing Desmond’s boat; he was about a week away from leaving. He also mentions Desmond wrecked it pretty good.
Kelvin lowers his rifle and asks Des, “So what do you think? You wanna come with me?”
Desmond is getting upset, "Come where?! What about the button?"
Kelvin- "Screw the button, man. Who knows if it's even real?"
He claims his rambling about dams; electromagnets and fail safes were due to his being drunk. Kelvin reveals to Desmond he lied because he needed a sucker to save the world after he left.
Desmond is pissed, "You crazy ol bastard! You stole my life! What else did you lie to me about? Tell me!"
Desmond grabs and is pushing Kelvin in anger. They fight and Desmond bangs Kelvin’s head against the rock; Kelvin's bleeding. Desmond freaks out.
He takes the key and gun from Kelvin and runs back to the Swan. {It's a good thing he knows his way back. He's never been outside!}
Desmond runs into the hatch. The alarm is beeping, the station is shaking. The has begun, "countdown System Failure." The timer shows hieroglyphs in red/black. He tries to enter the numbers. Stuff is flying all over the hatch! Through the chaos he manages to reset the computer.
Back in the hatch with Locke, Desmond looks over the log. He sees a date in the log 922044:16System Failure.
Desmond asks Locke, "When did you come here? The island. How long ago?"
Locke-"60-65 days ago. Sept. 22."
Desmond-"I think I crashed your plane."
On a long dock, the Others {No shoes} lead the hooded Lostie's, who are made to kneel near the end of the dock.
Michael of course is not one of the hooded.
Their hoods are removed but they are gagged. The Others are armed.
Kate tells Mr. Friendly through her gag that she knows his beard is fake. He doesn't understand what she's said so Miss Klugh translates, “She said she knows your beards fake, Tom."
Tom thanks Kate for pointing that out and removes the fake beard; apparently it itches. He also thanks B/Bea for telling her his name.
A piece of shit boat pulls up to the dock. Henry steps off; no shoes. {Check out how he looks at Michael.}
Henry says "Hello again" to Jack first. He turns to Tom asks him where his beard is.
Tom- "I think they know."
Henry's not very pleased. He addresses Michael, "Let's take care of business, shall we?"
Back in the blown up part of the hatch, Charlie is waking up. The sound is VERY muffled and there is a high pitch ring. {He’s has blood on him and his right ear hurts.}
He calls out for Eko. There literally is a bit of an echo. Charlie is trying to wake up Eko.
The computer beeping can be heard.
The clock shows 3 55.
Desmond tells Locke they need to push the button.
Locke says NO.
Desmond-“Did you not hear me, brotha? I crashed your bloody plane...On that day those numbers turn to hieroglyphics. And when the last one came down this whole place started to shake and that screen, that screen filled up with System Failure. System Failure! And that number there 9 22 04, September the 22nd 2004 …..The day your plane crashed. It's real. It's all bloody real. Now push the damn button!"
Locke insists, "I know what I saw! It's a lie! It's NOT real! None of it is real!"
If Locke won't push the button then Desmond will.
Locke grabs the computer monitor and throws it to the ground.
Desmond is stunned, "You've killed us. You've killed us all."
Locke-"No, I just saved us all."
Desmond uses the exposed wires to force the blast doors to go up and he runs out. He moves the Ping Pong table away from the book shelves.
Charlie asks for help with Eko.
Desmond says he's trying to help, as he pulls books off the shelves. He finds the copy of 'Our Mutual Friend'.
{Flash}
Desmond is in the hatch with a gun and the key; he is drinking. {Alcohol is not a Dharma issued bottle.}
He opens the book a letter falls out. He reads this letter written by Pen as Desmond leaves for prison. She had it hidden in the one place he'd turn to in a moment of great desperation.
Pen wrote- "I know you go away with weight of what happened on your shoulders and I know the only person who can take it off is you…Please don't give up. {What Happened? When?} All we need to survive is one person who truly loves us, and you have her. She will wait for him always. She signs the letter, 'Pen"

{Note that part of the letter is not narrated by Penny, plus we see 2 versions.}
Desmond has a temper tantrum, crying, "It's all gone."
Des runs over to the bookshelf moves the Ping Pong table and starts pulling books and records off the shelf. {Locke is pounding on the hatch from the outside/above having his sown fit.}
{It's important to note that Desmond and Locke both felt “desperation” and “hope” at the same time! Des heard the banging, and Locke sees the light.}
Des takes the key out of the book and kisses the key.
In the computer room John watches the timer click down.
Frantic Desmond tells Locke, "Three days before you came down here, before we met… I heard a banging on the hatch door, shouting…But it was you John, wasn’t it? You say there isn’t any purpose, no such thing as fate. But you saved my life, brother, so that I can save yours."
Locke still insists none of this is real, nothing is gonna happen, we're gonna be okay."
Desmond is gonna blow the dam.
Desmond- "I’ve gotta go and you’ve got to get as far away from here as possible… I'm sorry for what ever happened that made you stop believing. But it's all real. Now I've got to go and make it all go away...I'll see you in another life brother."
"SYSTEM FAILURE."
Stuff starts flying around the hatch.
Charlie is still trying to get Eko to wake up. Finally he wakes up. They struggle to make their way out.
Silverware, darts, washer, dryer, pots and pans are flying at the guys.
Charlie says to Eko, "Come with me. I know…" {Know what?! Know WHAT?} The hatch is FREAKING OUT! {Interesting sound it’s making. Listen to it.}
Stuff flying everywhere, shaking, etc...
Desmond heads below.
Eko sees Locke in the computer room. The two men look at each other.
Locke admits, "I was wrong."
Desmond at the failsafe crosses himself, as he’s recalling the words of her letter he says, "I love you Penny", and he turns the key. {Or the screw…}
There is a bright light and a Hum that causes everyone to cover their ears. Everyone is looking up. {Listen to the sound again.}
On the dock: Henry LOOKS pissed at this event!!
Bernard saves Claire and the baby from the flying 'quarantine' hatch door. {Although is just looks as if it’s falling from the sky. Lol}
The event only lasts a few seconds.
Later at the beach camp they clean up the mess from this 'incident'.
Charlie wanders out of the jungle. Bernard asks him if he's okay
Charlie shows/tells him his "ears", implying an issue with his ears/hearing. Bernie also asks about Locke and Eko, {No one asks about Desmond}
Charlie's response is, "They're not back yet?" {How much time could have passed here?}
At the Pala Ferry dock Henry says to Michael he's “not happy about the arrangement that was made with you but, we got more than we bargained for when Walt joined us, so...I supposed this is what’s best."
Henry acknowledges that Michael let him go, set him free. Michael lived up to his word.
Henry-“And we live up to our word too. Do you know how to drive a boat?" {Not sail a boat.}
He gives him the shitty boat. {The boat that's not meant for OPEN WATER TRAVEL!}
Henry tells Michael to follow compass baring 3 2 5, "If you do that exactly, you and your son will find rescue."
{Rescue! He doesn't say anything about the outside world or home, etc.}
Michael- "How do you know I won't tell people about where I was?"
{Where are you Michael?! Do you know?!}
Henry- "Maybe you will. Maybe you won't. But it won’t matter, once you leave you'll never be able to get back here. And my hunch is you won’t say a word to anybody. Because if you do. People will find out what you did to get your son back."
Michael asks about his friends, "I was promised you wouldn't hurt them."
Henry-"Deal’s a deal."
Michael- "Who are you people?"
Henry smiles, “We're the good guys, Michael."
He gives Michael the boat. Walt is inside. {What did Michael really do? Hmmm}
Henry-"Bon Voyage, Michael” {French.} Michael reunites with Walt, he tells him it's okay now and they’re going home.
Miss Klugh releases Hugo {Watch Hurley's expression!} She tells him to "Go back to your camp. Your job is to tell the rest of your people they can never come here."
Hugo- "What about my friends?"
Henry tells him that his friends are "coming home with us."
Hurley appears very confused. Jack gives his the “nod” for it's okay.
We see Michael leaving on the boat; he seems to make eye contact with Jack. Jack nods at Kate, Kate blinks; a sign of some sort of 'plan' or something? Their heads are covered/bagged again.
Night on the beach:
Claire asks Charlie what happened out there.
Charlie {still bothered by his ear} replies, “You wanna hear the part about me nearly being killed by the flaming fire ball or the flying fork?”
Claire wants him to be serious.
He carefree says "Nothing happened."
Claire-“Well something happened. I mean that noise and the sky turned that weird violet color.”
Charlie laughs, “Really?!” {Why would he say nothing happened? That makes NO sense}
Claire kisses him.

Two Portuguese men in a listening station somewhere very snowy. {Yeah! Snow globe. lol} They are drinking coffee and playing chess.
{The little window looks similar to a small airplane or portal window or even TV screen.}
We hear them say things like, “I crush your defense... It's all part of the plan... Then it must be your plan to lose."
Then we see a computer screen; a red light blinks. The screen shows Electromagnetic Anomaly DETECTED. 7418880. They’re just noticing it now. "That's it, isn't it?...We missed it again" {Again!!} "Did we miss it?"
There's beeping. One of the men unlocks a binder/log book with emergency numbers, finds a phone number to call.
The chess game gets knocked over!
"It's not a false alarm this time {this time.} The Jack look-a-like uses a yellow phone; a call is made to Penny. She gets awakened by the phone call.
On her night stand we see a picture of her and Desmond, lots of makeup items including lipstick number 20 and a clock.
"Miss Widmore, it’s us. I think we found it", says the Jack look-a-like.
Live Together, Die Alone. GREAT, GREAT EPISODE!!! There was so much to note with this one. Let’s point out some things. Keep in mind that Desmond left the Swan Hatch when the Castaways first entered it. {Replacements}
Things to note...Questions to ask...
♟ Military. Military Jail. Bomb.
♟ Confinement. Prison. Snow Globe.
♟ "There is no outside world, there's no escape."
♟ Sleep. Wake Up. Knocked out.
♟ Crazy. Injections. Alcohol/Drunk. Darts
♟ Psychological experiment
♟ Wire. Wired. Wires.Computer. Screen. Log. Stick. Net.
♟ Microcomputer processor. Escape. System Termination. System Failure. Key.
♟ Languages. Linguistics. Write. Numbers. Understand.
♟ Listen-Hearing-Can't hear.
♟ Joke. Fake beards. Costumes. Make up. Decoy village. Sets. Proof of things being staged and fake. The pneumatic tubes/note books to nowhere. All for show and illusion. Things aren't real
♟ Desmond sailed around for 2 1/2 weeks. So the Castaways only had access to the hatch and the button for 2 1/2 Weeks.
♟ Is Desmond on Team B or Team A on the island? 2 teams/sides- 'A' and 'B'. Make sense? But who is on which side?
♟ Who is S.R.? Being watched/observed/viewed. Binoculars can be considered 'looking glass' of sorts.
♟ Coincidence Libby gives Desmond a boat? Come on! NO it is NOT!
♟ Does Desmond know who the Hostiles are? Could Widmore be a Hostile?
♟ Are any of them tied to the Black Rock, a slave ship? A ship?
♟ Who is Libby's hubby David?
♟ Why do we hear the name Elizabeth in the whispers? Libby is short for Elizabeth.
♟ "Smells like carrots"...A food for rabbits.
♟ The 4 toed statue: A real statue? Part of an old culture of the island or somewhere else? Was it built there? Was it dropped there? Is it just a prop?
♟ Does anyone we know on the "Island" have 4 toes?
♟ Jack says Live Together, Die Alone in this episode only to Michael. We know he's only said it once in front of all the Castaways in season 1. Remember that for another time!
♟ Desmond knows how to make the blast doors go down/up. Who made the blast doors go down in the episode LOCKDOWN?
♟ Where does Kelvin go every time he leaves Desmond in the hatch? Hmmm? Was it really to fix Desmond's boat?
♟ MORE LIES. Kelvin lies to Desmond about why he wears the suit.
♟ Where did Kelvin's body go after Desmond cracked his head open?
♟ How long is Desmond on the "Island"? Is it really for three years?
♟ Missing parts. Film Edits. Missing parts of a statue. Missing Film pieces.
♟ The Alien reference. Hostiles.
♟ Eko was wrong about everyone dying in 90 minutes if the button didn't get pushed. There was an event, but nobody died.
♟ Locke was wrong about not pushing the button.
♟ Is Michael part of something that ended up being much bigger/different than he 'signed' up for? Could Michael have been involved with 'people' of the "Island", but Henry and his people are not from the same group of said people?
♟ How many times has the 'experiment' been done? How many times have things been done over?
♟ I know Desmond's accent is of a real dialect. But when he uses the word Aye, he sounds like a pirate! LOL!
♟ If there really is no quarantine…Maybe there aren't any hostiles or any sickness.
♟ Where are the whispers coming from, REALLY?
♟ The Others camp: Why a fake camp? Who are they trying to fool?
♟ Black- White
♟ Stick-Stuck.
♟ Drunk. Liquor = Desmond-Christian-Jack.
♟ "No Escape". Obvious EXIT sign in orientation film.
♟ Michael can't be traveling very far. The boat isn't meant for the open water.
♟ Jumping ahead (Naomi speaks Portuguese).
♟ The EMA DETECTED: How many times? They reference it's happened before, but missed it!
♟What is the sky turning bright/violet about, really? What happened? What did it do?

I know I ask many questions at the end of the episode notes . Although I write things in question form some of them are answers...in disguise.
Live together, Die alone... I guess all the residents of the island are having a hard time living together. You know what that means.

Understood? Good. Let the fun begin!I'll only note things that I know come up as clues later, but need to be noted when they first show up and things I find that will be of importance. It will get very exciting as we progress into the story.

Kate reads a few entries. “0400 S R moves Ping Pong table again, 0415 takes a shower.” {Who/what is SR?}

"The Pearl is a psychological station full of TV monitors. And two men sat in viewing chairs and filled notebooks with observations on what happens in here. And they put the notebooks in pneumatic tubes that send them back to their headquarters so they could evaluate us, as an experiment." {Note Locke says "US" not the study subjects or any reference to anyone other than them!}
Desmond asks him what if he's got it backwards {Backwards!} "What if the experiment wasn't on the two men in here, but the two men in there?"
Desmond wants to see the tape.
John tells him there's no way to see it down here. Desmond wonders what the computer in the Pearl was for. Locke mentions it printed out numbers “Lots and lots of numbers.”
Locke gives Desmond the Log, "Reading material for the next 19 minutes. Knock yourself out.” {Yes! Knock yourself out!!! Literally!}
Desmond looks through the log. Lots of numbers, followed by the word accepted.
{Flash}
Desmond looks at himself in the mirror in the bathroom {A Mirror with the picture of him and Pen in the bottom left corner. Yeah Penny/Widmore and a mirror.}

Kelvin notes that Desmond has been shaving everyday for last three years, “You need to live a little. Let go.”
{Kelvin is suiting up and reinforcing his suit with tape.}
Kelvin armed with a gun, appears behind Des and says, "I didn't think you'd have the stones to come after me. I was a spook for 10 years, Des. I know when I'm being followed." {He intentionally led Des to the boat.}
He takes the key and gun from Kelvin and runs back to the Swan. {It's a good thing he knows his way back. He's never been outside!}

"Miss Widmore, it’s us. I think we found it", says the Jack look-a-like.
Live Together, Die Alone. GREAT, GREAT EPISODE!!! There was so much to note with this one. Let’s point out some things. Keep in mind that Desmond left the Swan Hatch when the Castaways first entered it. {Replacements}

Understood? Good. Let the fun begin!I'll only note things that I know come up as clues later, but need to be noted when they first show up and things I find that will be of importance. It will get very exciting as we progress into the story.

The Incident. Preliminary LOSTNESS
Please forgive me; I had to deviate from my usual episode clues blog this week. I will post that in its entirety soon.
When the finale was over I thought to myself where the hell do I begin to share my thoughts on it. The finale brought up so many deep emotions in me, bringing me to uncontrollable tears, that I almost felt like it would have been easier to just re-post the only personal blog I ever wrote to represent this episode. But I’m sure this is just due to my own emotional connection and battle with destiny.
We’re all so enchanted by meeting Jacob but we still shouldn't let our guard down. We can’t let this distract us from all the other puzzle pieces and trips we all have taken through this labyrinth and down into the rabbit hole.
METAPHORS AND SUBLIMINAL HINTS GALORE!
You know how much I love that!
First things first: All through the episode we heard talk of "core of the bomb”.
We’re not really talking about the “core” of the bomb, it is about HEART!!!{Core is from Latin "cor" meaning "heart”.
TWO SIDES. ONE LIGHT. ONE DARK.
DO YOU WANT TO KNOW A SECRET?

Two Players, two sides, one light, one dark: playing pieces are moved according to the roll of dice.
Players win by removing all of their pieces from the board. Luck and strategy play a part.
There are cheating methods used.

Locke teaches Waaaalt about the history of Backgammon.
He also asks Walt if he wants to know a secret.
Chess: Pawns, sacrifices, rules and cheating.
Since the very beginning and countless times over I have talked about things we see being part of a living breathing chess game that is taking place on the “Island.”
Our Castaways represent pieces placed on the game board being moved around, then there's the game sacrifices and being removed from the game board or playing field. I’ve even tackled clue words used in the story as being directly associated with chess. You can check some of that out here.
There are laws of chess. We know white makes the first move and the goal is to keep the king safe. So who is the king?
Candidate was used a few times in the episode. This word is a derivative of the Latin candidus or "candida" meaning White. Does this help us figure who is on the white team?
I say Chess is the ultimate mind game. Not only do you need to plan your next move and subsequent moves, but also the moves and anticipated future moves of your opponent.
Benjamin Frankly said, "The Game of Chess is not merely an idle amusement; several very valuable qualities of the mind, useful in the course of human life, are to be acquired and strengthened by it, so as to become habits ready on all occasions; for life is a kind of Chess, in which we have often points to gain, and competitors or adversaries to contend with, and in which there is a vast variety of good and ill events, that are, in some degree, the effect of prudence, or they want of it. By playing at Chess then, we may learn: Foresight,Circumspection, and Caution {not to make our moves too hastily.}
I can’t forget Mikhail talking to John about the computer chess game in the Flame.
Mikhail- “It was programmed by 3 Grand Masters. And it cheats."
Locke- "Hmmm. Well I've played a lot of computers and I'm pretty sure they don't know how to cheat. That's what makes being human so distinctly wonderful."
Of course there's the loophole issue. {Means escape or a gap in law a small mistake or omission in a rule or law}
Mr. X supposedly found a loophole in the game via John Locke. Exactly how did this work? Did Mr. X only take advantage of said loophole because of the supposed 'time skipping'? Or did he have access to John's physical image long before that?
At this point the game continues and apparently has been going on for a very, very long time. Who knows...maybe at this point there are two queens left on the board?

There is no doubt that besides the game element being signed sealed and delivered here; we still see that these lost people are learning.
Learning to deal with being lost and having to grow from that, to find themselves and reach a new level.
Enlightenment.
Right now is it their moral compass that isn't pointing north?
They are learning other things as well. Many of them have taken on many different roles and jobs. A few even speak different languages.
Are we really completely in control of destiny or is there some mystical force that nudges us to keep us on the path or to make other things fall into place for someone else's path? I thought our future isn’t written yet. Or is it? There are so many people involved in keeping the island residents on their paths. Why? Do we all have a purpose and a destiny?
We see Jacob in young Kate and Sawyer's environment. Then Jacob is with grown Jack in a life defining moment, and later he shows up with Hurley and then to Sayid. With Sayid, Jacob was the cause of Nadia's death. Of course I understand that could be what had to happen to motivate Sayid into the next move but what about Nadia’s path? Was it always her destiny to die at this point?
As far as young Kate, what was the purpose of Jacob showing up in her life?
He didn’t deter her from a life of crime or bad choices, maybe he encouraged it. Are these people forever bound to that way of life because that's what's in their hearts? But how can you change what is in their hearts?
Jacob being in the Castaway’s lives and then them ending up on the "Island" proves they didn’t end up on the "Island" by chance. Plus we know there are other players involved in manipulating the Castaways to the "Island" more than once. I can't help but wonder if Richard arrived on the Black Rock (of course) but also how many of the other island residents also arrived with him. I know a long time ago I wrote that it would be amazing to see a very old sepia photo of the team from the Black Rock, and in that photo would be our island residents. But of course a few of them showed up in the Dharma photo in 1977. Could it be that it's always been the same people running through these things over and over and for over a hundred years?! Sounds like a fun premise, huh?!
Back to the matter at hand...What does Jacob accomplish by meeting these Castaways?
Jacob “marking” his pieces?
Meeting Jacob and Mr. X reminded me of the movie Clash of the Titans.

Religion: Is it possible that the teachings of the entire world’s religious beliefs (mostly Zen Buddhism) have been utilized in teaching the players morals and the potential knowledge for enlightenment?
Philosophy: We know is the study of general problems concerning matters such as existence, knowledge, truth, beauty, law, justice, validity, mind, and language. Again, is it a teaching tool for their development? Plus a few of them are named with Philosophers names.
Lineage: We see there is some sort of lineage to the “Island”. More on that later.
Visions, Dreams and Hallucinations: What’s with all of this? Is it just all memory? Things are happening while they are in an altered state.
Conscious mind: Oh yeah! This is still a HUGE part of the story. Experiences in their consciousness while on the path to enlightenment.
Tricks, Illusion, Razzle Freakin Dazzle: Yep, it's still there right along with the con.
Why see the numbers all over the place, different versions of things, 'no identity' or 'many identities', sleeping, whispers, repeated names, same items and people showing up in each other's lives and environment, {example-Kate having only Patsy Cline music} and so much more. Things still seem very manipulated to me.
We've seen a re-birth of John Locke before.

I believe we've seen John "re-charged" a few times. More on that in future post.
Now on to Tabula Rasa. When I watched this episode a few years ago, I watched it with headphones. Why? Cause I’m crazy like that. To my surprise there was something huge that jumped out at me and I had to share it with my friend B. Quain to get his opinion on if what I thought I heard was really there or was I just certifiable. I told him as the very last note rings out in the final scene {Locke watches Michael, Waaaaalt and Vincent very intensely} the sound of the monster is intertwined with that last note as the camera comes around to show us Locke. B.Quain checked it out (With his fancy movie equipment) and he called me back right away. With excitement in his voice he confirmed the monster sound is indeed there. I didn’t know what to make of this discovery for the longest time other than constantly questioning why this would be. So I left that potential clue alone until this finale aired. (It has been mentioned in my past posts The finale seemed to resurrect this Tabula Rasa scene for me. B.Quain and I will discuss this more in our podcast for sure.
Questions to ask...
* Was John's whole purpose on the "Island" (to bring the family back together) just to die and have Mr. X take over his identity?
* Who is on what side?
* They are all still lost people.
* Why the hell are the flashes very modern? Especially Juliet’s flash/memory?
* Is there some sort of farming of these people going on? Breeding, cultivating, trying to create a perfect being? Or just Nurturing...Evolving.
* What is real and what is not?
* Are there any other people on the “Island” with Jacob and Mr. X?
* Did Mr. X. also travel to and from the "Island" to visit with future residents?
* If things aren't real on the "island" {Rather happening in the conscious mind), are these two men really living in the "real world" and we're just seeing them in this environment or are they part of the bigger "real" picture? I'm just asking!
The Incident is not just about Juliet making the core blow up, but also about the actions of Ben stabbing Jacob. I am looking forward to detailing more with my full post of notes.
With the reveal of Jacob and Mr. X, I need to know “what” they are. Are they gods from an ancient world? Are they just two men involved in something massive and are in charge of watching these lost people or are they aliens?
Isn't it possible these two men are representing {in a metaphoric manor of course} a "part" that lives inside all of us? I think so.

Why oh why do I seem to come back to one of the very first clues we got when the show first started? That would bring me back to ever important, special and blessed Hurley and his comic book The Flash and Green Lantern- Faster Friends.
No one is one dimensional.
Are we the weavers of our own tapestry or is there a crafty puppet master with a giant loom putting the whole thing together? Is destiny in our hands, yet helped along with the nudge of a guardian? Maybe we’re really all just pawns in some other worldly chess game.
Well, we do know that things aren’t just black and white here. We’ll have to explore the gray area and see what we find.
What if Jacob’s comment about "they’re coming" is meaning the new generation of guardians to the island such as Aaron, Ji Yeon and Charlie? If it’s not, have we yet to see more players in the game or another delivery of Castaways?
Until I post my full post I leave you with this...I know this has been my "theme" the past few weeks but it's true... You can’t change the past, you can only learn from it. If there are any changes you want to make, make them now because I'd like to believe you are the author of your own biography.
In the end all that really matters is love. So ask yourself what's really in your heart?
Love to all who are “LOST”™
DISCLAIMER: I NEVER CLAIM TO KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT THE SHOW AND MY THOUGHTS BY NO MEANS MAKE ME RIGHT. THE THINGS I SHARE HERE ARE MY VIEWS AND/OR OPINIONS. I DON'T CLAIM TO CATCH EVERY SINGLE DETAIL EITHER. YOU ALL KNOW I HATE SPOILERS AND I STAND CLEAR OF READING CERTAIN SITES AS TO NOT TAKE ME OFF MY OWN COURSE OF RESEARCH. THE ONE THING I DON'T NEED TO DO HERE IS REHASH ALL OF THE OBVIOUS CLUES FROM AN EPISODE; WE ALL KNOW WHAT THEY ARE. UNDERSTOOD? LET THE FUN BEGIN! I'LL ONLY NOTE THINGS THAT I KNOW COME UP AS CLUES LATER, BUT NEED TO BE NOTED WHEN THEY FIRST SHOW UP AND THINGS I FIND THAT WILL BE OF IMPORTANCE.

Enter Seven Seven.
Let's talk about LOST! Enter 7 7.

Sawyer walks the beach camp and talks to the Lostie’s who are moving a Ping Pong table. Hurley tells him Jin found it when he was out looking for firewood. They made legs and paddles for it and all they need now is a ball.
Sawyer-"Found it?"
Hurley-"It must have landed in the jungle when the hatch exploded."
Sawyer- "I thought the hatch collapsed." {What, not imploded?! COME ON!}
All Hurley knows is the sky turned purple; after that he "don't ask questions. I just make myself a salad and move on."
Sawyer can see "That's working for ya." Sawyer asks him if he's seen Kate.
Hurley-"She's not back yet? Hmm."
Hurley asks around to see if there's anything they can use for a ball.
Sawyer sees Paulo walking with the Guns and Ammo magazine that belongs to him. {Word ammo is shown in Paulo hand.}
Paulo says it was in the magazine stack, "We share things now." {Implying a different time, perhaps? Or Sawyer was gone so long they got to change the rules?}
Sawyer calls Paulo, Zorro. Sawyer knows it was in his stuff, “Stuff you all decided to have yourselves a little party with while you thought I was dead." {But clearly is not dead}
Paulo tells him if he wants it that bad, then take it. The magazine is wrapped and hiding toilet paper. Sawyer tells him to keep it.

Sayid, Kate, Locke and Danielle are on their trek. Sayid informs them they need to eat. Locke asks him if they're still on course.
Sayid checks the trusty compass, "We're still heading North on a bearing of 3 0 5. Yes."
Locke is sensing a lack of confidence.
Sayid-"We've been walking for two days following a compass bearing provided by the carvings on a stick."
Sayid questions him about chancing on where the Others are. {Eyes}
Locke-"My bearing is the only bearing we've got. {His bearing!? It is Eko's bearing!}
Sayid is going to find some fruit, "Then we're going to have a rational conversation regarding our next move."
While Sayid picks fruit he hears clanking and comes upon a cow, (Bell and all), grazing. A person whistles, calling the cow. Sayid follows the cow to a little blue farmhouse with a satellite dish on top and a pen containing cows; there is a horse too. The man with the eye patch is there.
Nikki and Sun tie up the net for the Ping Pong table.
Sawyer asks them if "Looking for something like this?" {Yellow cat ball}
Hurley's excited because now they get to play.
Sawyer-"Ah-ah-ah. We need to do a little quid pro quo first. I know I've been gone a while, you all thought the general store was having a going out of business sale. But now I'm back and I want what's mine."
Nikki says it wasn't really yours to begin with.
Sawyer-" 'A', it was mine when I took it. 'B', who the hell are you? And 'C', because I'm fair, I'm going to let you play me for it."
Hurley-"Play Ping Pong?"
Sawyer calls him Avalanche and tells them to put up their best player; one game. And when he crushes them they all have to bring him back every piece of his stash. He aint gonna lose. If he does, he tells them to 'name it'. Sun and Jin converse in Korean. Sawyer thinks Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon got something good. {I guess Sun isn't going to only speak to Jin in Korean like she said in Tricia Tanaka is Dead.}
Sun comes up with, "No nicknames for anyone for a week."
Sawyer agrees. He wants them to pick their player, he'll be back in an hour, “Then let the slaughter begin."
Sayid is looking through binoculars at the little farmhouse. {We can see Speakers.}
Locke-"Are you sure it's completely isolated?"
Sayid has circled the house there's nothing but jungles surrounding it.
Locke checks out the satellite dish, "That dish still work?"
Sayid comments that a satellite dish of that size would have broadcasting capabilities of thousands of miles. He asks Danielle "You once mentioned a radio tower. Is this it?"
She says she's "never been here before."
Kate to Sayid, "The man in the house, you said you've seen him before."
Sayid- "On a video feed from the Pearl Station." They wonder who he is; there's only one way to find out. Sayid gives Kate his rifle and unarmed he will go visit the man; they will cover him from there.
Danielle decides to leave, "I have no interest in that man inside the house. I have survived on the Island precisely by avoiding these types of encounters. I'll wait for you by the stream, for those of you who survive."
Vegetables are being cut up while Arabic music plays. This is Najeev; a cook in a restaurant. Another man tells him in Arabic that there's a man outside who wants to speak to him. {Pic of some sort sea serpent on the wall.} He exits the kitchen and heads outside to the dining courtyard to meet the man.
They are in an Arabic restaurant in Paris.
The man/Sami asks him if he "cooked this?"
Najeev says yes. Sami compliments him and asks him where he's from. Najeev says he's Syrian. Sami calls him out on this.
Sami, in their native language tells him, "You are as much of an Iraqi as I am, young man."
Suspicious Najeev asks what he wants. Sami thinks he's an excellent cook and offers him employ at his restaurant; at 2 times the pay.
Najeev questions the motive, "You're offering a stranger a job because of a single meal?"
Sami tells him he's offering it "because we are outsiders here." And because his chef just quit. {Yeah.}
Sayid, with both his hands up in 'look, I'm un-armed' {or 'surrender'} approaches the house. Locke and Kate are armed and ready. Sayid sees that the horse is saddled; He also notes a gray cat. {Red barrels.} He stops and looks at the cat, then one shot fired at Sayid; he's down.
Kate wants to run to his rescue but Locke stops her, "Not yet! Do you want to get shot too?"
Patch fired his rifle from a window.
He yells, "I didn't cross the line! We had a truce. This is my land. You said I can stay here."
Sayid-"No. I am not who you think I am! My name is Sayid Jarrah. I was on a plane that crashed here months ago...I'm unarmed. I swear!" {There are 7 +2 horseshoes hanging on the wall outside. Faded red large urn/vessel.}
Patch comes come out and there's a shootout!
Locke tells him to "Drop the rifle! Drop it right now!...Back up. Back up."
Patch is wearing a Dharma jumpsuit with a Flame logo patch on it. He asks if they really crashed here.
Sayid confirms over 40 of us did. Locke heads inside first to make sure it's okay.
Kate-"Who are you?"
Patch-"My name is Mikhail Bakunin. And I am the last living member if the Dharma Initiative."
They enter through double doors. {Red everywhere. Red glow is a nice touch.}
Mikhail has experience treating gunshot wounds. He spent some time in Afghanistan; and he has experience with field medicine in the Soviet Army. He asks Kate to bring the medical kit from the kitchen.
Kate looks at Sayid for approval; he tells her it's alright. {Lantern and candles on the coffee table} Mikhail takes a bottle of Dharma Swan vodka from a table {Note two Dharma Merlot bottles.}
Sayid asks him how she got there.
Mikhail doesn't know where to begin. Said tells him to begin with the Dharma Initiative.
Mikhail-"I grew up in Kiev and joined the Soviet Army. I was stationed at a listening post in Vladivostok. {In the meantime Locke is looking around the place. Lamps are lit all over. Kate is looking around the kitchen. Dharma food everywhere. Jars.} After the cold war, after we lost the cold war, my unit was decommissioned. I was dismissed from my life in the military. And after years of conducting unpleasant actions against our enemies, {Locke finds the type written pages} I found myself wanting to do something good. So I replied to a newspaper advertisement, 'Would you like to save the world?' it read. That's how I met them. The Initiative {Kate open refrigerator -meat.} Very secretive. Very rich. And very smart."
He goes on to tell Sayid he came to the Island "11 years now. I liked computers, communications equipment, and being alone, like a lighthouse keeper. So they put me in this station. They called it the Flame. {Locke finds the computer equipment, parts, mother boards, etc.} He tells Sayid the purpose of the Flame is to communicate with the outside world {Of course! As if Sayid should know that.}

Locke comes across the computer with the chess game; a computer voice, READY TO PLAY? Y/N in a red box.
Locke notes a camera's blinking red light, watching him. He presses Y; he's ready to play!
The computer shows it's his move.
Sayid asks Mikhail what happened to the Dharma Initiative.
Mikhail- "They're all dead, of course. They foolishly initiated a war against the Hostiles. A purge, they called it."
He survived by not participating in it. {He sterilized his instrument.}
Sayid-"And the Hostiles allowed you to stay here?"
Mikhail continues his story- "After it was over four men appeared in the yard. They offered a truce. They said to imagine a line that extended all the way around the valley. As long as I did not cross it, I would be left alone. Then they took two cows and I never saw them again." {He puts on his glasses for his 1 eye}
Kate wonders why they weren't interested in the satellite dish in the yard. Mikhail says it hasn't functioned for years. Sayid asks who the Hostiles are. Mikhail doesn't know, "But they were here for a long time before we were. A very long time." {Pulls out the bullet he put into Sayid.}
Najeev walks down the street in Paris to the restaurant. {Another Arabic restaurant.} He meets Sami. Sami introduces Najeev to his wife who is in charge of the kitchen; her name is Amira. {A mirror. Clever! lol}
They shake hands. Amira's hands are badly scarred. Sami asks her if she's sure this is him. She says yes.
Najeev-"Look. I don't know who you think I am."
Then there's a fight and Sami kicks Najeev in the face/head, knocks him out.
The bloody bullet is removed and Sayid is stitched up. Mikhail scolds the cat in Russian; it’s pulling at the thread/yarn of the rug. He calls the cat Nadia. "I told Nadia to be polite because you are my guests." He says he named the cat Nadia, after Nadia Comaneci; the greatest Athlete the worlds ever known. They have the same birthday. He finishes work on Sayid, speaks some Russian and offers them iced tea. Patch will check on their friend.
Locke is playing computer chess. He pushes X H 3 on the keyboard. CHECKMATE YOU LOSE.
Mikhail opens the door and tells Locke, "Ha. Don't waste your time. For 10 years I've tried to defeat that game. It was programmed by three Grand Masters. And it cheats."
Locke-"Hmm. Well I've played a lot of computers and I'm pretty sure they don't know how to cheat. That's what makes being human so distinctly wonderful."
The Computer indicates-“YOUR MOVE.”
Kate bandages up Sayid.
Mikhail heads into the kitchen.
Kate tells Sayid her concern, "It doesn't make any sense. Why would they let him stay here?" With all the stuff/equipment.
Sayid feels it makes perfect sense. The reason they let him stay there is because he is not Dharma, "He is one of them."
Kate-"He shot you and you just let him? Why are we still sitting here?"
Sayid tells her they are still sitting because he's certain 'he' is not alone.
Sawyer plays their one draft pick, Hurley. Are they playing with a mercy rule? If Hurley is up 11-0 then he automatically wins. "Either one of us."
Hurley asks Sawyer, “Do you want to volley for serve?"
Sawyer tells him to be his guest. Right away 1-0, Hurley.
Mikhail serves the iced tea off a silver platter; He grows the tea himself.
Sayid feels "Any tea is good tea."
It's been a long time since they've seen ice. {Mikhail can make ice cubes but not wash that disgusting jumpsuit? What is wrong with this picture?!}
Sayid asks about the series of thick wires as he walked around the station.
Mikhail-"This is the hub. But they go underground to various stations around the island."
He also admits that there are cables that go into the Ocean, "There is an underwater beacon that emits sonar pings to help guide in the vessels."
Sayid asks if he means submarines.
Mikhail says yes; The Initiative used one to bring them there. He imagines the Hostiles have either destroyed or commandeered it by now.
Sayid tells Kate, "That explains how they were able to get around my position and capture our sailboat."
Mikhail is surprised about their sailboat.
Sayid-"Until we lost it to your Hostiles."
Sayid shares that at least they were able to kill one of them.
Mikhail stops to ask outright, "Why are we continuing to playing this little game? When we all know it has moved to the next stage." {That means FIGHT! And SO MUCH MORE!}
Then Kate is there with the gun on Mikhail, then she kicks him in the face knocking him out.
Locke opens the door to see.
Sayid-"Get some rope."
Sayid is chained up, being held prisoner in the kitchen. He wakes up. The door opens; it's Sami with a black bag. He also brings Sayid a silver bowl with water.
Sami- "You were a torturer in the Republican Guard."
He goes on to question him about recognizing people he tortured. Does he recognize one of his victims; His wife?
Sayid says NO! Sami has confused him with someone else. Sami tells him Amira was arrested for harboring an enemy of the state. She was held for three months for questioning; her arms bear the scars of those questions, "So I assure you Najeev, I am not confused."
He says his name is not Najeev, “I'm Sayid Jarrah. I was in the Republican Guard and yes I was an interrogator... but I have never seen your wife."
He goes on to say maybe she saw him at the same facility. Sayid says does not know her; he remembers every face of everyone he's interrogated.
Sami says Amira remembers your face, "She remembers it so well that she recognized it from a mere glimpse when we walked by the restaurant where you worked!"
Sayid shakes his head no. Sami wants him to admit what he did, and if he doesn't he will leave the room in that bag.
Kate, Locke and Sayid tie up knocked out Mikhail. Sayid informs them the horse outside is still saddled; the stirrups are set up for someone much shorter than Mikhail, proving someone else is there with him. Sayid says they sent someone out here to Mikhail because they lost communications.
Locke suggests, "Maybe when the sky turned purple."
That would also be Sayid's guess.
Locke says they must be hiding pretty good, as he checked every nook and cranny of this place.
Sayid pulls back the rug to reveal a hidden door/hatch,
"Not every nook and cranny, John." {I suddenly want an English muffin!}
Sayid is chained in the kitchen. Amira is escorted in by Sami. Sami asks if he's ready to tell the truth. He beats Sayid. Sayid swears he doesn't know her as he would never torture a woman. Sayid won't confess to something he didn't do. Sami shares with him his wife confessed to something she didn't do, "When you poured a pan of boiling oil over her arms."
Sami beats him.
Amira stops the beating.

Kate and Sayid head down the trap door.
The chess game beckons Locke "YOUR MOVE".
Kate and Sayid see that the area is wired with C4.
Locke chooses to leave Mikhail and play some more.
Sayid enter another area where there are file boxes, binders-Food drops, Operations manuals.

Locke plays chess. CHECKMATE. YOU WIN! He's happy!
Then the computer shows...Manual over ride achieved. (On the screen is Marvin Candle with a fake left arm. Coffee cup, Dharma binders and files/file boxes.) He's instructing person/computer commands for Video: For pallet drop- enter 2-4. For station Uplink-enter 3-2. For mainland communication- enter 3-8. Locke seems overwhelmed. Locke pushes 3-8!
Candle-"The satellite dish is inoperable. Communications are down. For sonar access, enter 5-6. Locke pushes 5-6. Candle says Sonar is inoperable. Has there been an incursion on this station by the Hostiles? If so, enter 7-7."
Locke is about to push 7 7 and gets a knife put to his neck by Mikhail. He tells Locke, "Keep your voice low and your hands in front of you."
Kate holding her lantern comes upon the rack of Dharma jumpsuits.

She gets attacked and there is a FIGHT!
Sayid pulls the rifle on the attacker, it's Miss Klugh.
Kate recognizes her and punches her. " It's her!" she tells Sayid; she was there at the dock and she knows where Jack is. Sayid asks her if there are any more of them here.
Sayid yells, "John, we're coming up!"
Outside of the house Mikhail is holding a gun to John. Sayid and Kate walk their prisoner outside.
Mikhail deals-"This is simple. Send her over to me and I will release him. Then we all go our separate ways."
Locke tells them not to listen to him, If he wanted him dead he would have killed him already, "Do not let her go!"
Mikhail threatens to execute him. There is bickering!
Lock-"I'm the only thing keeping him alive.” {OMG!!WHAT?!!!!!!}
Klugh and Mikhail converse in Russian.
John-"Don't let her talk to him!"
There's more bickering!!
Klugh-"Just do it Mikhail!"
So Mikhail shoots her. There is struggle for the gun and a fight. Sayid has the gun on Mikhail. Mikhail wants Sayid to finish it, "Kill me."
Nope!
Sawyer sits on his broken seat fixing a pair of glasses. Hurley beat him in their game. Sawyer feels hustled.
Hurley shares that "My mom had a table in her basement. I played a lot at the instit… this place I hung out for a while. I got kinda good."
Hurley continues, "It doesn't look like that last slam caused any long term damage to your forehead. And you got three points, better than zero."
Hurley returns three of his porn magazines, cause Sawyer's the kind of guy that needs stuff. Sawyer wonders if he's a shrink now. Hurley knows he's worried about Kate, "She'll be okay, dude."
Sawyer thanks him for the pep talk; just about calls him a nickname...Hurley, “It’s Hurley or Hugo, if you want."
Sawyer-"Get bent, Hugo."
Locke looks at the computer screen.
Kate grabs a box of Marshall Bullets and asks, "Are you ready to go Locke?"
He'll be there in a minute.
Locke watches the video feed.
Candle:"Has there been an incursion by the Hostiles? If so, Enter 7 7"
Now it is dark outside. Sayid is with a tied up Mikhail; he is calling for Danielle. {Watch Mikhail's face as Sayid calls out for Danielle. Wow!}
Sayid asks Mikhail if he ever was a member of the Dharma Initiative or was everything he said a lie. Mikhail tells him he was never a member, but everything else he told him was true; he tells him he moved into that Station after the Purge.
Sayid-"The purge. In which a group of scientist attacked your people."
Mikhail tells him to believe whatever he wants, but that's what happened.
Danielle comes up the rear with her gun pointed at Mikhail's back. She asked if he killed Sayid's friends. Sayid tells her no; they are collecting whatever maybe useful from the farmhouse, "And now we have our ticket to where the others live. Where we'll find your daughter and Jack. And finally perhaps, a way home."
{Again, when Danielle speaks from behind Mikhail, watch his face!}
Mikhail-“There is nothing you can do to me that would make me lead you there.”
Sayid-"I didn't say you were our ticket, Did I?"
Sayid takes out a map shows it to Mikhail. It shows electrical and data cabling running from the Flame to a place called the Barracks. We learn it's comprised of houses and dormitories with water and power large enough to accommodate an entire community. Sayid wants to visit this place.
Mikhail threatens, "There will come a time when your guard is down. And when it is I will not hesitate a moment before killing you. You should know this before..."
Danielle conveniently cuts off Mikhail in mid sentence! She tells Sayid he's making an excellent point, "You have a map. Why keep him alive?"
Mikhail smiles.
Sayid is chained to the kitchen. {He is on the ground with his silver bowl, looking very animal-like.}
Amira comes in with her gray cat. She tells Sayid the story of when she and hubby first arrived to Paris and she was afraid to leave her apartment. She would stare out the window into the alley. She goes on to say how children trapped the cat in a box and how she rescued the cat from bad children who were lighting firecrackers and drop them in the box. She heard the cat howl from three stories up. Amira now had a reason to leave the apartment; she brought the cat home. The cat sits, sleeps, purrs with her. Everyone once in a while the cat will bite or scratch her because he forgets that he is safe now. She forgives him for this. She knows what it's like to never feel safe. What she wants from Sayid "acknowledging what you did to me. That is was you who questioned me. That tortured me. That you remember me."
Sayid straightens up and proclaims, "I remember you. I remember your face. Your face has haunted me ever since I left Iraq. {He cries} I am sorry. I am so sorry for what I did to you."
They both cry and Amira forgives him. When her husband returns she will tell him that she made a terrible mistake; that it was not him and he will release him. Sayid asks her why she's letting him go. Amira tells him that we are all capable of doing what the children did to the cat. But she will not do that; she will not be that.
Danielle tells Sayid they should kill Mikhail because he will kill them.
Sayid- "No. He is my prisoner. I will decide his fate.”
Kate and Locke join them. Locke tells them he just played the chess game again.
He turns to Mikhail and says, "And now I realize why you didn't want me to beat it."
Sayid-"Meaning what?"
BOOM! The farm house blows up!
Locke looks surprised.
Sayid- "What have you done John? That place was our only hope of communication with the outside world."
John tells him that the computer said if there was an incursion by the Hostiles, I should enter 7 7. So I entered 7 7.
Sayid said they should go as the explosion may attract attention.
As they are walking away from the Flame Sayid sees the gray cat.

ENTER 7 7 is a friggin' GREAT AND IMPORTANT EPISODE!
I have to start with something I find REALLY BIG. You’re all going to call me crazy, but...Opening with Sawyer! He looks like he walked right out of the Flash for Every Man for Himself"!! Did he? His hair is long, top pony tail, blue button down shirt, scruffy. It's not exact. But very similar! Of course he's missing the prisoner number on his shirt. So that makes me ask...Why would this be, hmmm??? I just find the whole 'I just walked right out of my prison flash' look, fucking AMAZING!!!!! He had the same hair style in Exodus. I've said this before and I'll say it again... Events are blurred together.
The next big thing is LOCKE! Is he a "Grand Master" or creator of a game? I can't help but feel not only the game element here but also the literal "connection" to computers.

Things to Note...Questions to ask...
♜ They are all in a living, breathing, moving Chess game. Games. Computers are involved. Have I been watching a frickin' video game play out?
♜ Nadia, the cat and the girlfriend- The world’s greatest athlete, Comaneci was born November 12, 1961. She won five gold medals in 1976, in Canada. The Russian name Nadia means Hope.
♜ The cat: An image-prop to trigger an action? The cat's are eerily the same. Hint to people looking similar, yet are different? Or are they really the same?
♜ Mikhail: What's the real story? How long is he really there? How old is he? He may be just a "bit" player.
♜ Three verbal different versions of the hatch incident: Imploded, Exploded, Collapsed.
♜ Again, someone is surprised about the sailboat!
♜ Eye patches remind me of pirates.
♜ Ping Pong- The action of the ball being hit back and forth. Over and Over.
♜ Computer. Wires. Logs. Manuals. Video feeds. Files. Programmed. Codes. Cheats. Hub. Uplink. Satellite dish. Game.
♜ Cheat is a loophole.
♜ Grandmasters. {Perhaps we saw them in this episode.} Games.
♜ Where's the beef? There must be livestock somewhere to have all that meat! Mikhail aint eatin boar! Maybe he's not eating at all. Or livestock as in...?
♜ Stations and Hatches with more access to go even further under/underground/underneath.
♜ Clue to the possibility of "A. B. C."
♜ I'm noting a few new clue words lately- ice, avalanche, cold. This raises new questions for me.
♜ Is Locke a Grand Master? After all, he beat the computer game.
♜ Locke enters 7 7 with the prompt of a Hostile incursion. Why? Who is the Hostile?
♜ In Star Wars there is an event called Great Jedi Purge WooooHooo!
♜ A group of scientist attacked Mikhail's people. Is that an answer to the Hostile question? Because Mikhail said to Sayid he didn't know who the Hostiles were. It was Sayid who says "group of scientists"
♜"...with the outside world." Telling us they are "inside"something.
♜ EYES- Again, why the eye color changes? Now that I've gotten this far with the whole eye thing, we need to investigate a pattern (If any) on eye changes. Or point blank clue to look alike/replica, altered state of consciousness?
♜ Are we being clued in to the possibility that there are people who look the same, but are different?! If so, how are they being separated from each other? Are they on different "Islands"? If there are look a likes, it would be very easy to mistake someone for the other someone. Maybe that wasn't really Miss. Klugh either. Maybe the images of certain people are cloned to fill in certain roles.
♜ When is the "Flash" from? Sayid spends time in Paris, France and cannot understand Danielle's 16 year loop recording? Come on!!
Vocabulary and Research...
♦ Hostiles: An antagonistic person or thing. An enemy in warfare. Another word for Hostile is alien, adverse inhospitable, malevolent, malicious, militant, opposed, opposite, unwelcoming, unfriendly.
♦ Satellite- Are used for many things. This we know.
Here's a few to note:
- Artificial satellite, an object placed into orbit by human endeavor. Or, Object orbiting a celestial object.
- Satellite campus, which is physically detached from the main campus.
- Satellite- A species of moth.
- Fictional Satellite weapon. Golden Eye is the 17th spy film of the James Bond series.
♦ Mikhail Alexandrovich Bakunin-was a well-known Russian revolutionary. He studied philosophy and frequented radical circles. Bakunin's political beliefs rejected governing systems in every name and shape, from the idea of God downwards, and every form of external authority. He wrote seminal work such as Statism and Anarchy and God and the State.
♦ Chess: is a recreational and competitive game played between 2 players. The tradition of organized competitive chess started in the 16th century. One of the goals of early computer scientists was to create a chess-playing machine, and today's chess is deeply influenced by the abilities of current chess programs and by the possibility to play online. Chess is played on a square board of 8 rows (called ranks and denoted with numbers 1 to 8) and 8 columns (called files and denoted with letters a to h) of squares. The colors of the 64 squares alternate and are referred to as "light squares" and "dark squares". The chessboard is placed with the light squares at the players' right, and the pieces are set out as shown in the diagram, with each queen on its own color. The pieces are divided, by convention, into White and Black sets. Each player, referred to by the color of his pieces, begins the game with 16 pieces: these comprise one king, one queen, 2 rooks, 2 bishops, 2 knights and 8 pawns. White moves first. The colors are chosen either by a friendly agreement, by a game of chance or by a tournament director. The players alternate moving one piece at a time (with the exception of castling, when 2 pieces are moved simultaneously). Pieces are moved to either an unoccupied square, or one occupied by an opponent's piece, capturing it and removing it from play. With one exception (en passant), all pieces capture opponent's pieces by moving to the square that the opponent's piece occupies. Chess games do not have to end in checkmate — either player may resign if the situation looks hopeless. Besides casual games without exact timing, chess is also played with a time control, mostly by club and professional players. If a player's time runs out before the game is completed, he automatically loses. Games also may end in a draw (tie).
♦ HUB- The center of a wheel, normally incorporating a bearing.
- Connecting computers.
♦ SEVEN-
- The code for international direct dial phone calls to Russia and Kazakhstan.
- "The Magical Number Seven, Plus or Minus Two: Some Limits on Our Capacity for Processing Information" is a 1956 paper by the cognitive psychologist George A. Miller. In it Miller showed a number of remarkable coincidences between the channel capacity of a number of human cognitive and perceptual tasks. Working memory is generally considered to have limited capacity. Example- In the novel Watership Down the rabbit characters use the word hrair to refer to any number too large to count. For rabbits, this is any number greater than four, whereas, for humans,hrair would be greater than 7 plus or minus 2.
In organization theory the limit has a similar meaning: the maximum number of projects that one can be involved in simultaneously before chaos starts to ensue.
- In The Dark Tower series by Stephen King there are 7 books.
- 7 Sages.
- 7 wonders of the ancient world.
- The legend of the Seven Sleepers of Ephesus tells of the falling asleep of seven young men in a cave, who wake up after a great deal of time has passed.
- The 7 Seas.
- The number of chakras.
- The number of basic principles of the Bushido.
- The number of points on a sheriff's star.
- Septimal time.
* In Buddhism The Seven Jewels of Royal Power:
The Precious Queen
The Precious General
The Precious Horse
The Precious Jewel
The Precious Minister or Householder
The Precious Elephant
The Precious Wheel.
♦ Purge: To rid of whatever is impure or undesirable, cleanse, purify. To free, clear, remove, empty.
Synonyms-abolition, catharsis, clarification, cleaning, clean up, coup, wash.
The Flame is known as the Hub, so this must mean it is this the center of the blast door map; the "?"?
Sayid seems to have looked into "Amira" {a mirror}. Has he faced the truth about something that has haunted him or something that motivates him?
"Because he forgets that he is safe now..." Is it possible that they have forgotten they are safe now? Shouldn't they feel safe being home?!

Disclaimer: I never claim to know everything about the show and my thoughts by no means make me right! The things I share here are my views and/or opinions. I don't claim to catch every single detail either! You all know I hate spoilers! And I stand clear of reading certain sites as to not take me off my own course of research. The one thing I don't need to do here is rehash all of the obvious clues from an episode, we all know what they are. Understood? Good! Let the fun begin!I'll only note things that I know come up as clues later, but need to be noted when they first show up and things I find that will be of importance! It will get very exciting as we progress into the story.

Sawyer- "I thought the hatch collapsed." {What, not imploded?! COME ON!}
All Hurley knows is the sky turned purple; after that he "don't ask questions. I just make myself a salad and move on."
Sawyer can see "That's working for ya." Sawyer asks him if he's seen Kate.
Hurley-"She's not back yet? Hmm."
Hurley asks around to see if there's anything they can use for a ball.
Sawyer sees Paulo walking with the Guns and Ammo magazine that belongs to him. {Word ammo is shown in Paulo hand.}
Paulo says it was in the magazine stack, "We share things now." {Implying a different time, perhaps? Or Sawyer was gone so long they got to change the rules?}
Sawyer calls Paulo, Zorro. Sawyer knows it was in his stuff, “Stuff you all decided to have yourselves a little party with while you thought I was dead." {But clearly is not dead}

Sayid questions him about chancing on where the Others are. {Eyes}
Locke-"My bearing is the only bearing we've got. {His bearing!? It is Eko's bearing!}
Sawyer asks them if "Looking for something like this?" {Yellow cat ball}
Sawyer calls him Avalanche and tells them to put up their best player; one game. And when he crushes them they all have to bring him back every piece of his stash. He aint gonna lose. If he does, he tells them to 'name it'. Sun and Jin converse in Korean. Sawyer thinks Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon got something good. {I guess Sun isn't going to only speak to Jin in Korean like she said in Tricia Tanaka is Dead.}
Sun comes up with, "No nicknames for anyone for a week."
Sawyer agrees. He wants them to pick their player, he'll be back in an hour, “Then let the slaughter begin."
Sayid is looking through binoculars at the little farmhouse. {We can see Speakers.}
Sami tells him he's offering it "because we are outsiders here." And because his chef just quit. {Yeah.}
Sayid-"No. I am not who you think I am! My name is Sayid Jarrah. I was on a plane that crashed here months ago...I'm unarmed. I swear!" {There are 7 +2 horseshoes hanging on the wall outside. Faded red large urn/vessel.}
They enter through double doors. {Red everywhere. Red glow is a nice touch.}
Mikhail has experience treating gunshot wounds. He spent some time in Afghanistan; and he has experience with field medicine in the Soviet Army. He asks Kate to bring the medical kit from the kitchen.
Kate looks at Sayid for approval; he tells her it's alright. {Lantern and candles on the coffee table} Mikhail takes a bottle of Dharma Swan vodka from a table {Note two Dharma Merlot bottles.}
He goes on to tell Sayid he came to the Island "11 years now. I liked computers, communications equipment, and being alone, like a lighthouse keeper. So they put me in this station. They called it the Flame. {Locke finds the computer equipment, parts, mother boards, etc.} He tells Sayid the purpose of the Flame is to communicate with the outside world {Of course! As if Sayid should know that.}

He survived by not participating in it. {He sterilized his instrument.}
Sayid-"And the Hostiles allowed you to stay here?"
Mikhail continues his story- "After it was over four men appeared in the yard. They offered a truce. They said to imagine a line that extended all the way around the valley. As long as I did not cross it, I would be left alone. Then they took two cows and I never saw them again." {He puts on his glasses for his 1 eye}
Kate wonders why they weren't interested in the satellite dish in the yard. Mikhail says it hasn't functioned for years. Sayid asks who the Hostiles are. Mikhail doesn't know, "But they were here for a long time before we were. A very long time." {Pulls out the bullet he put into Sayid.}
Najeev walks down the street in Paris to the restaurant. {Another Arabic restaurant.} He meets Sami. Sami introduces Najeev to his wife who is in charge of the kitchen; her name is Amira. {A mirror. Clever! lol}
It's been a long time since they've seen ice. {Mikhail can make ice cubes but not wash that disgusting jumpsuit? What is wrong with this picture?!}
Mikhail stops to ask outright, "Why are we continuing to playing this little game? When we all know it has moved to the next stage." {That means FIGHT! And SO MUCH MORE!}
Then Kate is there with the gun on Mikhail, then she kicks him in the face knocking him out.
Sayid pulls back the rug to reveal a hidden door/hatch,
"Not every nook and cranny, John." {I suddenly want an English muffin!}

Lock-"I'm the only thing keeping him alive.” {OMG!!WHAT?!!!!!!}
Klugh and Mikhail converse in Russian.
Now it is dark outside. Sayid is with a tied up Mikhail; he is calling for Danielle. {Watch Mikhail's face as Sayid calls out for Danielle. Wow!}
{Again, when Danielle speaks from behind Mikhail, watch his face!}
Sayid is chained to the kitchen. {He is on the ground with his silver bowl, looking very animal-like.}
Amira comes in with her gray cat.
