He's Our You.

Let's talk about LOST! He's Our You.

A Chicken coop. Tikrit Iraq.
A man pulls a young boy out of the house in anger, “You are not a child anymore! Act like a man! You must kill one!”
The boy doesn’t want to.
 The man says, “You must do as your father asks.”
He wants the boy to listen to what he’s telling him.
The man gives the boy a butcher’s clever and tells the boy, “You must kill one of them. You will stay outside until you do!”
The boy stands alone staring into the coop.   A younger boy comes over and puts his hand on the shoulder of the other boy. He makes a trail with the seed bait, catches a chicken and breaks its neck. He gives the dead chicken to the older boy. The man praises the older boy, thinking he did the killing, “Good for you. You did it.”
The boy admits it wasn’t he who did it.
The disappointed man says, “Well, At least one of you will be a man.”
He looks into the eyes of the younger boy, “Well done, Sayid.”

Sayid stands in his cell; notes the camera and its blinking red light.
Phil sits in front of the video monitoring desk cleaning his gun. Young Ben comes in to bring Sayid another sandwich; chicken salad this time. Sayid hasn't been eating.
Phil doesn’t think it’s the menu, “He’s not eating. Save yourself the trouble kid.”
Ben-"But Horace told me to.”
Phil wonders, “Why does he care so much? The guy’s a Hostile.”
Ben- “That doesn’t mean he’s not hungry.”
Whatever. Phil okay’s the kid going in.
Young Ben enters the “Authorized Personnel Doors” into the cell area.
Ben tells Sayid he brought him a sandwich. Sayid takes the plate. Ben also gives him a book that he’s read twice already, “It's good.” {A Separate Reality}
Sayid-“Thank you.”
Ben asks if Richard sent him, “Richard. He’s your leader. Right.”
Sayid nods to note the camera that’s watching them.
Ben-“It’s just a camera. They can see, but they can’t hear. Four years ago I ran away into the jungle and Richard found me. I said I wanted to leave that I wanted to join you. So I’ve been patient. And if you’re patient too, I think I can help you.” {Making deals already?!}

Moscow.

A man carrying a paper bag hurries inside the hallway. He puts the bag down and runs into an apartment. {Through a few doors} He is running from someone. He chain locks the door and puts his ear to the door to listen. The man opens an armoire, tosses stuff out of the way to reveal a safe. He unlocks the safe by entering numbers on the keypad. {Daylight} Sayid enters and pulls a gun on the man. The man reveals a huge wad of money and offers it to Sayid. Sayid shoots him 2x. {Looks at his hand and head.}. Sayid heads down the stairs. {It's Daylight.}

Night. {Snow.}

Outside, Sayid dressed in black, enters large gates with monogrammed B on them.
He meets up with Ben. {Sayid passed that car on the street.} Sayid tells Ben the guy tried to bribe him, of course it didn’t work.
Sayid asks, “Where to now?”
Ben- “Nowhere. You’re done.”
Ben tells him “We’re done. Andropov was the last one. You’ve taken care of everyone who posed a threat to your friends.” {To his friends- Ben doesn't say "to you" or "to you and your friends"}
They look into each other's eyes.
Ben- “It’s been a pleasure working with you, Sayid.” And he walks away.
Sayid is angry and stunned, “So that’s it? I killed all those people for you, and now you’re just walking away.”
Ben- “You didn’t kill them for me, Sayid. You’re the one that asked for their names. There’s no one else in Widmore’s organization that we need to go after. Congratulations. Mission accomplished.”
Sayid asks sadly, almost sounding lost, “What do I do now?’”
Ben- "I supposed you should go live your life. You’re free, Sayid.”

Un-Free Sayid sits in his cell.
Radzinski unlocked the cell to let Horace the mathematician in. {Both men wear glasses} Horace, who’s packin tin snips, asks Sayid to, “Put out your hands.” After slight hesitation Sayid does. Horace snips off his plastic cuffs.
Sayid- “Thank you.”
Horace is happy to “hear” his voice, “I’m Horace. Now’s the part where you tell me your name.” Sayid doesn’t speak. Horace needs him to tell him what he was doing out in that jungle.
Radzinski interjects, “Ask him about the model.
Horace tells Radzinski, “I got this.”
Horace continues “Those handcuffs. Are you having some kind of problem with your people? Because either you’re in some kind of disagreement, which makes me wanna help you, or you’re a spy trying to infiltrate us. So which is it?”
Sayid is silent.
Horace removes his glasses, “OK. I’m gonna give you an hour to decide whether you wanna talk to me. But if decide you don’t want to, then I’m gonna have to take this to the next level.”
They exit the cell.

Bacon {5 pieces-looks like a temple, "Asian or Buddhist character"} burns on the stove.
Juliet stares out the window.
LaFleur dressed in his Dharma jumpsuit removed the burning bacon that Juliet “forgot” about.
He asks her what’s on the TV.

They see from their window Kate and Jack across the way.
LaFleur- “Aahh.”
Juliet-“It's over, isn’t it?”
What’s over?
Juliet- “This. Us. Playing house. All of it. I never actually thought they’d come back.”
James feels “So they’re back. Nothin’s changed.”
Juliet-“What if Sayid tells them who he is.”
James- “Sayid aint sayin nothing.”
Juliet is worried. James tells her he has this under control. There's a knock at the door.

James answers it, “Morning H.” {Horace}
Horace shares with Jim he just spoke to the prisoner, “We have a problem.” Uh Oh!
The prisoner hasn’t said anything; which is what worries Horace. {Screw that! No news is good news! Lol} Horace needs to find out why he violated the truce, “Why the hell he would come into our territory. I’m just gonna have to have Oldham do his thing on em.”
Jim- “That psychopath! No way.”
Horace asks what choice does he have. Worried LaFleur wants to have a go at him, alone.
Horace-“Be my guest, but I’m telling ya man, he is not gonna talk.
LaFleur feels, “Oh, he’ll talk to me.”

LaFleur heads down to Dharma Security. He passes by Phil at the monitor desk and tells him to take his lunch.
Phil- “You going in there alone?”
LaFleur- “Take your lunch, Phil.”
Yes sir.

Sawyer sees Sayid standing against the cell wall. He asks him how he’s doing.
Sayid shares with him, “A 12 year old Ben Linus brought me a chicken salad sandwich. How do you think I’m doing?”
Sawyer-“Sweet kid, huh?”
Sayid wonders, “How can you live with him here?"
Sawyer- “Cause I aint got a choice.”
Sayid-“Is that so?
Sawyer- “Let’s see how you feel after three years of living in the 70’s. Lucky for you I spent that time getting myself in a position to save your ass.” {So, Sawyer knew this was coming?} Sawyer picks the key to unlock the cell. Sawyer tells Sayid he’s sorry and head butts him. This is to make “them” believe that Sayid didn’t give up his confession easily.
Sayid-“What confession?”
Sawyer makes up a story that Sayid was trying to defect, “You were gonna offer some Intel on the Others in exchange for living with us.”
Sayid asks him why would he want to do that.
Sawyer- “What the hell else am I supposed to do with you?”
Sayid- “Let me go.” Sawyer can’t just let him go because these people trust him. He shares with Sayid he’s built a pretty good life here. If lets him go, “All that goes away. So you got yourself a choice, Chief. Either you cooperate and join the party in Dharmaville or you’re on your own.”
Sayid- “Then I guess I’m on my own.”

Hurley delivers some fresh off the griddle breakfast food to Jack and Kate’s table. He tells them not to forget trying the dippin sauces they really bring out the ham. {Kate is half in/Half out of her Dharma jumpsuit again.}
Hurley asks what’s going on with Sayid. Jack doesn’t know anything yet. Kate gets a bit anxious because she knew he was at Sawyers last night.
Jack- “He told me to leave him alone and let him do his job.”
Hurley-“And you’re going to?”
Yep.
Kate says she’ll talk to Juliet; see what she can tell her. Hurley questions if Sawyer didn’t tell her anything why would Juliet. He feels Juliet wouldn’t say anything because she lives together with Sawyer, not as roommates, “You know, together like you guys were. I thought it was kinda obvious. Who couldn’t see that coming?” {Who?} Hurley leaves to go make more waffles.
Kate asks Jack if he knew.
Yep, he did.

Sayid relaxes in his cell. Keys jingle.
Roger Linus enters the area to mop up.
Roger talks to Sayid. “You know what I can’t figure out…is how the hell you got caught. You Hostiles are supposed to be the kings of the jungle. How dumb are you that you got captured by these idiots. Hahaha.”

Sayid still relaxing on the cot, “And yet you’re the one who mops up after them.”
Roger changes his tune, “Yeah well, we’ll see how cute you are when Oldham gets done with you, Pal.”

Young Ben enters carrying a tray. He is obviously frightened by his father. Roger asks the boy what the hell he’s doing there.
Young Ben replies nervously, “I was bringing you a sandwich.”
Roger scoffs that Ben never made him a sandwich in his life. Ben nervously stumbles over his words trying to tell his dad that he made one for himself and he’d bring dad one. Sayid watches. Roger tells the boy not to lie then he grabs Ben and throws him up against the bars of the cell. Ben admits to making the sandwich for “him” {Sayid} Nobody told him to do that.
Young Ben cries, “I just thought that…”
Roger tells Ben to “go home….I’ll tell you what to think.”
Ben leaves.
Roger tosses the tray and leaves, locking the door behind him.

Sayid in his yellow tee shirt continues to build a better world. He is working construction in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
Sayid hears someone behind him. It’s Ben.
Sayid asks Ben how he found him.
Ben- “I looked.”
Ben reveals to him John Locke is dead.
Sayid looks surprised.
Ben- “I think he was murdered.” {Really?!}
Sayid- “Why would anyone kill him?”
Ben- “I’d say it was retribution for the work you and I have been doing.”
Ben tells Sayid he’s in danger. After all if Ben can find him so can the people that found Locke. “The same people who, even as we speak are sitting outside Hugo’s Mental Institution.”
Sayid- “They’re watching him?”
Yep. A man in a sedan had been there all week just waiting, presumably waiting for Sayid or Ben to show their faces. Sayid figures Ben came all that way to suggest to him that he kill this man.
Ben-“You don’t want to?”
Sayid- “What makes you think I want to?”

Ben shares, to put it simply, “You’re capable of things most other men aren’t. Every choice you’ve made in your life, whether it was to murder or to torture, it hasn’t really been a choice at all has it? It’s in your nature. It’s what you are! You’re a killer, Sayid.”
Sayid looks right in Ben’s eyes and says, “I’m not what you think I am. I don’t like killing.”
In that case, Ben apologizes, “I was mistaken about you.”
Ben walks away.

Sayid is in his cell. LaFleur, Radzinski, Phil and security guys enter the cell. Le Fleur tells Sayid it’s his last chance, “You got anything to say?”
Apparently he's got nothing to say so LaFleur zaps him with the zapper!
LaFleur tells security to take him to Oldham; they cuff Sayid. You can see LaFleur’s troubled.
A Dharma van pulls up to a tee-pee.{Sweat lodge} an old Victrola plays a 78rpm record. {‘I Can’t Give You Anything But Love, baby’ is the song.} Prayer flags are hung.
Horace calls out to Oldham and asks if “we’re” ready.

Sayid whispers to LaFleur, “Who is that man?
LaFleur informs him, He’s our you.”
Oldham uses an eye dropper to drop the liquid drug onto a sugar cube. {Is Sayid a horse?! Lol} Sayid won’t open his mouth to ingest the sugar drug so Oldham has security put him in the restraints. Sayid puts up a fight but is restrained by being chained/strapped to a tree. {Yep, Horse. Lol. BTW, they remove his cuffs.}
LaFleur looks concerned.

Oldham tells Sayid not to worry, “They’re for your protection. There are side effects to what I’m giving you.”
Oldham tells the guys to “Open his mouth.”
Phil and Radzinski pry open Sayid’s mouth and force him to ingest the sugar drug. Oldham peacefully tells Sayid, “Don’t be afraid. Just turn your mind off. Let it take effect.”
Sayid tries to break free.
Oldham- “It’s beyond your control. So fighting it is a poor use of your energies. You see, whether you struggle or not one thing’s for sure, friend, you will tell us the truth.”

It's night on the dock. {Note boat named Illusion. I friggin LOVE that!} This is the night Ben tells gun toting Sun about a woman who going to tell them how to get back to the island. Kate says this is insane, calls them crazy, yada, yada, yada… Sayid walks away. Ben asks where he’s going.
Sayid-“I don’t want any part of this. And if I see you again, it will be extremely unpleasant for us both.

Sayid sits at a bar drinking MacCutheon whiskey.
Ilana all dressed up sits next to Sayid. She asks him how much a glass of that scotch runs him. Sayid, catching a buzz, feels whatever it is, it’s worth it. Flirty Ilana doesn’t understand why someone would pay for 120 bucks for a glass of anything. She reads the menu.
Sayid- “If you knew what my drink costs, why did you ask me?”
She tells him it’s the same reason she’s eating her dinner there instead of a table. She orders the rib-eye, bloody. {Vampire?! Lol}
Sayid asks the seductress if she’s a professional.
Ilana-“A professional what?” {Really?!} “You think I’m a prostitute?”
She’s not a professional anything; she just thought he looked sad, “I like sad men.” {She’s an ass!} Sayid’s sorry to hear that. Ilana moves over to the seat next to him and asks him other than drinking alone at bars, “What do you do? For a living.” Sayid shares he’s between jobs at the moment.
Miss Nosey asks, “What did you do?”
Sayid- “The only thing I was ever good at.”
She wants to know why he quit.
Sayid- “I’m trying to change
She now knows why he is sad, “When you’re that good at something there are always going to be people who tempt you into staying the same.” {That’s a fact.} Sayid asks how she knows so much about temptation.
Ilana- “Buy me a glass of that scotch and I’ll tell you.”

Looking up at the spinning trees, Sayid is somewhere else but seems content. Oldham and the men wait. Horace walks up to restrained Sayid, “Hello there.”
Sayid seems to clear his thoughts and focus.
Horace waves his hand in front of Sayid as if to say ‘look over here’.

Oldham tells Sayid he’s going to ask him a few questions; he wants him to relax and answer them truthfully “Not that you’ll have any choice about it. What is your name?”
In his happy altered state Sayid replies, “Sayid Jarrah.”
This pleases Horace.
Oldham- Why were you in handcuffs when we found you?"
Very sad Sayid reveals, “Because…Because I am a bad man.”
Oldham asks if he was running away from his people.
Oldham- “The Hostiles.”
Sayid proclaims, “I am not a Hostile.”
Radzinski rolls his eyes at this.
Horace asks, “Then where did you come from, Sayid?”
Sayid looks up, “I came on a plane.”
The men are confused, what plane?
Happy and high Sayid, “Ajira flight 3 1 6. And that’s how I returned to the Island.”
Oldham- “Returned? You’ve been here before?”
Sayid- “Oh yes. The first time I was on Oceanic flight 8 1 5. Crashed. I was here for 100 days. Then I left. Ask Sawyer.”
They wonder who Sawyer is,, except for Radzinski who doesn’t care, as none of this matters, “Ask him about the Flame.”
Horace tells Radzinski to be quiet.

Oldham asks Sayid what he knows about “our stations here.”
Sayid reveals, “I know the flame was a communications station. The Pearl was to observe other stations. The Swan was to study electromagnetism. But of course that was before the incident.”
Radzinski’s upset, “The Swan! How could he know what we were gonna name it? We haven’t even built it yet. I told you, he saw the model! You see, he is a spy. I knew it!”
Horace isn’t gonna tell the fired up Radzinski again to “Cool it.”

Sayid {Reminds me of a scene from Linda Blair/exorcist } “You’re all going to die, you know… You’re going to be killed.
Upset Sawyer rolls his eyes.
Horace- “How exactly would you know this, Sayid?”
Sayid- “Because I am from the future.”
Oldham second guesses himself and suggests maybe he should’ve used half a dropper,“Oops.”
Sayid gets a fantastic case of the giggles, “You used exactly enough.”

"Bench grinder, lube equipment, drill press over here. Plugs, bearings, sockets, ratchets here. How are you with a flat 4 engine?”
Juliet shows Kate around the garage. Kate has no idea what Juliet’s talking about. She switches gear asks Kate, “Jack told you about us.”
Kate shares "No", it was actually Hurley who spilled the obvious beans. Juliet feels it’s a relief, actually. She wasn’t sure quite how to do it without it sounding like she wanted Kate to stay away. Apparently it’s fine with Kate.
The ladies watch Horace and the security team bring in cuffed Sayid.
Sayid sees that Juliet and Kate are there. Sawyer stops to make eye contact with the girls. Juliet looks worried; watch Kate!

Horace heads a meeting about what to do with Sayid. Amy stands in the room with her infant. Radzinski suggests they kill him.
LaFleur tells them to hold on a second, “We’re not killin anyone.Right?
Horace states he violated the truce, “What do you think they would do if they caught one of us?”
LaFleur- “Since when did we start acting like them? We’re civilized.”
Horace agrees, “We have a rule of law. And we’ve given him every opportunity to defend himself.”
Fidgety Radzinski reminds Horace that this man’s “seen things. He knows things. There’s nothing to talk about. He’s a spy.”

LaFleur asks Stu if he’s sure about that. He tried to escape from the Hostiles; he obviously has problems with his people. Radzinski feels sharing their secrets is the quickest way for him/Sayid to solve those problems. Horace is going to need a little more time to consider.
Radzinski scoffs, “The longer he’s among us, the more danger we’re in.”
LaFleur can talk to him, he just needs more time.
Radzinski snaps at La Fleur that he had his chance.
LaFleur- “Why are we on your clock, Radzinski?”
Radzinski suggests they call for a vote, “Either we make a decision or I call Ann Arbor. And they make it for us.”
Amy feels Radzinski is right. She pleads with Horace, “I can’t sleep with one eye open. We have a baby now. We have to think about Ethan….We have to think about all the children here. How are we going to feel safe with this man around? I don’t know what he’s up to, but we can’t keep him here.”
This really troubles La Fleur. Amy says they have no choice. Horace puts it to a vote, “All in favor of Radzinski's solution raise your hand.” Everyone raises their hands except LaFleur.
Horace turns to LaFleur, “I would really like to say its unanimous.”
LaFleur concedes.

Sayid carries Ilana into the room. {Kissing up a storm.} She tells him just for the record, she really was just having dinner. On the bed, Ilana tells Sayid to remove her boot. He starts to unzip the boot and she kicks him in the face! Bamm! Powww! Ilana pulls out her gun and warns him, “You so much as flinch and you’re dead.”
Sayid- “So who are you?
She reveals she’s a professional hired by the family of Peter Avellino to bring him to Guam. The man he killed in cold blood last year on a golf course in The Seychelles. She’s a Bounty Hunter.
Ilana- “It doesn’t matter what I am. You’re going to answer for what you’ve done.”

LaFleur enters Sayid’s cell, “Hit me in the face.”
He feels Sayid owes him one any way, “So make it a good one.”
LaFleur lays out a plan to make it look like Sayid took the keys out of his pocket and “Let yourself out.” He also mentions the guard outside is Phil, the dimwit.
Sayid could most likely get his gun before he even realizes he’s out, “Just promise me you won’t shoot em.”
Content Sayid appreciates the offer, but he’s fine right “here.”
LaFleur tells him their gonna kill you, “They just took a vote. Even the new mom wants you dead.”
Sayid calmly replies, “I’m going to stay here, James.”
James wonders why he would change his mind from this morning especially after Sayid begged to be let go.
Sayid-“Because… when I woke up in the jungle...and I realized I was back on this island, I felt there was no purpose to it. But now I know exactly why I’m here.”
James-“To get shot! Then what? You’re out of your mind.”
James leaves.

LaFleur heads home. On the porch he looks over to {Kate’s/Jack’s. Is he going to ask Jack for help with the Sayid situation or just to talk to Kate?} porch. Acting upon emotion he knocks on that door; {4x} Kate answers. She closes the door behind her so the person in the house can’t hear them talk. Sawyer asks her why she came back. {Watch Kate’s face. She’s nervous.} He’s upset because Sayid just filled his ear with some crap about his damn purpose, “and I wanna know...why’d ya’ll come back?...Why Kate?”
Kate doesn’t know why everyone else came back, she only knows why she did.
Just then a driverless flaming Dharma van drives through Dharmaville and crashes into a house!
LaFleur-“What the hell?”
Siren can be heard while people break a window to escape the burning house.
Sawyer gets residents involved in getting the hoses going. {Grab a wrench, opening valves, grab the fire gear} Kate’s pulling people out of the burning house. Explosion!
Jack comes running out to see the chaos and asks Le Fleur what happened.
LaFleur-“Three years no burning buses. Ya’ll are back for one day...”
He tells Jack, “Get on that hose!”
Juliet comes running out. Jack’s trying to put out a fire. LaFleur radio’s all security to inform them they have a fire, “Everyone get to building 15 now!”
Phil, in the security monitor room, “Roger that. I’m on my way.”
He grabs a rifle and heads up the stairs.

Hooded young Ben hides in the dark waiting for Phil to leave. He enters the cell area where Sayid appears to have been waiting. Sayid asks Ben what happened to his {broken/taped} glasses. Apparently his father did it for bringing Sayid a sandwich.
Sayid understands this as his father was a hard man as well.

Ben cries, ”I really hate it here…If I let you out, will you take me with you?...To your people
Sayid- “Yes, Ben, I will. That’s why I’m here”

At the airport we hear the announcement for Ajira flight 3 1 6 to Honolulu and Guam.
Ilana escorts her cuffed prisoner.
Sayid observes Hurley at ticket counter and then Jack, Sun and Kate. He realizes something is up.
Sayid asks Ilana, “Are you sure we’re going to Guam?”
Ilana-“Where else would we be going?”
Sayid nervously asks her for a favor, “Can we get the next plane?”
He tells her he’s very superstitious when it comes to flying.
Ilana offers to buy him a rabbit’s foot at the gift shop, “This is the plane we’re taking.”

On the plane Sayid looks/sees Sun via the view from between the seats. He seems very worried.
Ilana apologizes to him about the handcuffs, “But at least we’re in business.” We hear Ben tell the stewardess to wait and he thanks her for not closing it. Ben boards the plane. Beat up Ben and Sayid share an awkward moment.
Jack tells Hurley if he wants to get back this is how it’s gonna have to be.”

Sayid asks Ilana if she’s working for Benjamin Linus.
Ilana- “Who’s Benjamin Linus?” {If she’s not working for Widmore maybe Ben used one of his aliases.}
Sayid states, “He’s a liar. A manipulator. A man who allowed his own daughter to be murdered to save himself. A monster responsible for nothing short of genocide.”
Ilana asks why would she work for somebody like that.
Sayid-“I did.”

Hooded Ben unlocks the cell, releasing Sayid.
The two run through the jungle.

They come upon a path where a Dharma van is coming. Ben falls down. Sayid tells Ben to hide. The van pulls over.
Sayid tells Ben to “Shhhh.”
Jin gets out with his flashlight and gun.
Sayid approaches Jin. Jin asks what he’s doing there, “how did you get out?
Sayid lies and tells him, “Sawyer let me go. They were going to kill me.”
What? Jin looks confused.
Jin’s radio announces, “Attention the prisoner escaped. The Hostile is no longer in custody. Be on the lookout. He could be armed.”
Sayid tells Jin, “They don’t know he released me. Please Jin. I need to keep moving.”
Jin says okay, but wants to talk to him first so he radio’s LaFleur. Sayid knocks out Jin.
Ben sees this and impressed asks Sayid, “Where’d you learn to do that? Come on. We better He called LaFleur."
Ben starts to walk away. Sayid takes Jin’s gun and quietly says, “You were right about me.”
Ben- “What?”
Sayid- “I am a killer.
Sayid shoots young Ben in the chest with one shot.
They boy falls to the ground.
Sayid cries and then runs away.
He’s Our You is a GREAT EPISODE!!! Again the Shaman/guide role is brought up as well as altering the mind..consciousness.  While this may be done for the purpose of learning, growth, enlightenment or even getting to the truth, we must remember manipulating the mind can cause the blurring of reality.
Let the episode magic, uh, I mean journey begin!

Things to note…Questions to ask...
* The man in the opening scene with the two boys holds his hands in a Buddhist Mudra gesture: Dhyana- This is the absolute balance of meditation.
* Cheng is wearing the Swan logo in the welcome/orientation video at the processing center, yet we're to believe the Swan isn't built yet. And apparently naming it wasn't known 'publicly'. So why have patches with a Swan on it already?
* Choice. Change. Purpose.
* Menu. Exit. Communication.
* Watch.
* Who sent the flaming Dharma bus, young Ben? Does Juliet play a part?
* Lineage. Royalty. Special.
* We have seen Sayid in moments of meditation and prayer.
* In Greatest Hits, Charlie mentions his band got their start at the Night and Day Bar on Oldham Street.
* Things are indeed happening within their heads/ minds.
* Santa Rosa. Psychopath. Crazy. Insane. Pharmaceuticals. Drug trip. Open your mind. Sweat Lodge.  Meditation.
Awakening. ALTERED STATE OF CONSCIOUSNESS!
* Illusion.
* Geronimo Jackson.  Alice in Wonderland. Down the rabbit hole.
* A few lyrics from the 78 record…”Dream a while. Scheme a while.”
* Horace knows.
* Radzinski likes control.
* Temple.
* Learn.  Listen/hear-Look/see
* Kate and her half in/half out of the jumpsuit bit… What? She can’t decide which side to be on? Or is she preparing to run? Does she know what’s coming too?
* Ann Arbor= DeGroots?
* Ilana knows about MacCutcheon whiskey.
* Le Fleur, “Since when did we start acting like them? We’re civilized.” In season 1 Sawyer tells Jack “He’s in the wild.”
* The scene on the dock- Here we see Sayid walk away: Ben asks where he’s going.
Sayid- “I don’t want any part of this. And if I see you again, it will be extremely unpleasant for us both." BUT in the episode This Place is Death, that scene on the dock is different:
Especially the part when Sayid walks away. He wants no part of this. If he sees Jack or Ben again, “it will be extremely unpleasant for all of us.”

*In the episode DAVE, Sayid threatens to kill "Henry Gale" and actually pulls the trigger!

Vocabulary and Research...
* Carlos Castaneda author.The Teachings of Don Juan: A Yaqui Way of Knowledge, A Separate Reality and Journey to Ixtlan. The book The separate reality: Further conversations with Don Juan is in 2 parts. Part 1 The preliminaries of seeing. Part 2-The task of seeing.
He also wrote a series of books that describe his purported training in traditional Mesoamerican shamanism. In Castaneda’s book, The Art of Dreaming, he describes an encounter during a lucid dreaming session with a supposed conscious entity that was trapped by other inorganic beings. The trapped entity was named the Blue Scout because its "energy" appeared blue-ish and it was an energetic scout (meaning it was outside of its original realm).
The Art of Dreaming
is said to describe the steps needed to master control and consciousness of dreams. The Toltecs of Don Juan Matus' lineage believed that there are seven barriers to awareness, which they termed The seven Gates of Dreaming. In The Art of Dreaming Castaneda describes extensively how a state called Total Awareness can be achieved by means of dreaming.

* Shaman: The functions of a shaman may include leading a sacrifice, preserving the tradition by storytelling and songs; fortune telling, either guiding to their proper abode the souls of the dead (which may be guided either one-at-a-time or in a cumulative group, depending on culture), and/or curing (healing) of ailments. The ailments may be either purely physical afflictions -- such as disease, which may be cured by flattering, threatening, or wrestling the disease-spirit (sometimes trying all these, sequentially), and which may be completed by displaying some supposedly extracted token of the disease-spirit (displaying this, even if "fraudulent", is supposed to impress the disease-spirit that it has been, or is in the process of being, defeated, so that it will retreat and stay out of the patient's body), or else mental (including psychosomatic) afflictions - such as persistent terror (on account of some frightening experience), which may be likewise cured by similar methods. Usually in most languages a different term other than the one translated "shaman" is applied to a religious official leading sacrificial rites ("priest"), or to a raconteur ("sage") of traditional lore; there may be more of an overlap in functions (with that of a shaman), however, in the case of an interpreter of omens or of dreams.
On the island of Papua New Guinea, indigenous tribes believe that illness and calamity are caused by dark spirits, or masalai, which cling to a person's body and "poison" them. Shamans are summoned in order to "purge" the unwholesome spirits from a person.
A rite of passage for shamans-to-be, commonly involving physical illness and/or psychological crisis.
The shaman plays the role of healer in shamanic societies; shamans gain knowledge and power by traversing the axis mundi and bringing back knowledge from the heavens. Even in western society, this ancient practice of healing is referenced by the use of the caduceus as the symbol of medicine.
Generally, the shaman traverses the axis mundi and enters the spirit world by effecting a transition of consciousness, entering into an ecstatic trance, either auto-hypnotically or through the use of entheogens. The methods employed are diverse, and are often used together. Some of the methods for effecting such trance states: Tobacco, Drumming, Dancing, Singing, Listening to music. Icaros/medicine songs, Vigils, Fasting, Sweat Lodge, Vision Quests, Mariri, Sword fighting/Bladesmithing, Power or “master” plants used as incense or consumed to heal or attain altered states.

* Prayer flag is a colorful panel or rectangular cloth often found strung along mountain ridges and peaks high in the Himalayas to bless the surrounding countryside or for other purposes. Unknown in other branches of Buddhism, prayer flags are believed to have originated with Bön, which predated Buddhism in Tibet. Traditionally they are woodblock print. Traditionally, prayer flags come in sets of five, one in each of five colors. The five colors represent the elements, and the Five Pure Lights and are arranged from left to right in a specific order. Different elements are associated with different colors for specific traditions, purposes and sadhana:
Blue (symbolizing sky/space)
White (symbolizing air/wind)
Red (symbolizing fire)
Green (symbolizing water)
Yellow (symbolizing earth)
The center of a prayer flag traditionally features a “Ta” (powerful or strong horse) bearing three flaming jewels (specifically ratna) on its back. The Ta is a symbol of speed and the transformation of bad fortune to good fortune. The three flaming jewels symbolize the Buddha, the Dharma (Buddhist teachings), and the Sangha (Buddhist community), the three cornerstones of Tibetan philosophical tradition.
Traditionally, prayer flags are used to promote peace, compassion, strength, and wisdom. The flags do not carry prayers to 'gods,' a common misconception, rather the Tibetans believe the prayers and mantras will be blown by the wind to spread the good will and compassion into all pervading space. Therefore, prayer flags are thought to bring benefit to all.
By hanging flags in high places the "Wind Horse" will carry the blessings depicted on the flags to all beings. The prayers of a flag become a permanent part of the universe as the images fade from exposure to the elements. Just as life moves on and is replaced by new life, This act symbolizes a welcoming of life changes and an acknowledgment that all beings are part of a greater ongoing cycle.

Long time readers of my notes are not strangers to me reminding them to not only watch the show but to “really look so you can see, don't just hear things, really listen and feel the experience.”  I know that sounds very bizarre, but we have been told to do this many, many times over the past five years. We’re supposed to be opening our minds.
"Careful observation is the only key to true and complete awareness."

Haven't you ever felt like you needed an escape from things to try to figure out who you are or who you want to be?
Maybe even to reflect upon whom you are now, how you became this person and maybe find the change you need to become a new you? Don't you wish it was as easy as someone just giving you the answer? Unfortunately that answer can only come from our self, our own heart.  All I can tell you is, if you're feeling lost and need to reconnect or you're searching for an answer or a change, get away to find yourself. The island cures what ails you.
Experience the unexpected!
Don't be a stranger... Come Back!

My Mantra…Has been and continues to be, WAKE UP!

Love to all who are "LOST"™

Disclaimer: I never claim to know everything about the show and my thoughts by no means make me right! The things I share here are my views and/or opinions. I don't claim to catch every single detail either! You all know I hate spoilers! And I stand clear of reading certain sites as to not take me off my own course of research. The one thing I don't need to do here is rehash all of the obvious clues from an episode; we all know what they are. Understood? Let the fun begin! I'll only note things that I know come up as clues later, but need to be noted when they first show up and things I find that will be of importance.

A Tale of Two Cities

Let's talk about LOST! A Tale of Two Cities.

EYE.
A woman loads a CD into the CD player. {The CD itself has no markings on it.} The song "Down Town by Petula Clark is playing.
A blond woman wearing an orange spaghetti strap top looks into the mirror. {Uh huh.} She sets up chairs in a living room for a gathering/meeting. Then she's wearing a purple shirt with her hair in pony tail. The beeping of the oven is heard. She has burned the muffins and her left hand.
The doorbell rings.
An older woman is at the door.
The two women peek at the man fixing the plumbing underneath the house. The older woman comments about the plumbing not being fixed yet.
The man tells her, "It's a work in progress."
{All the while the song Downtown is STILL playing!}

They are having a book club meeting with six people.
Adam seems to be complaining about the book.
He claims “It's not even literature, its popcorn.”

He continues with "There's no metaphor, it's by the numbers religious hokum pokum, its science fiction.”   He feels that's why Ben isn't at this meeting; he never would have approved of the book being discussed, feeling Ben "Wouldn't read this in the damn bathroom.“
Apparently the host picks the book. The blond woman is insulted as she is the host and picked the book and this is her favorite book; Carrie by Stephen King. {I've read every King book!} She comments about sinking so low by selecting something that Ben wouldn't like…"Thinking that Free Will still actually exists". {Note: hardcover and paperback versions of the book there.}

The house starts to shake and rattle; things come crashing off the walls, etc. {We see a reflection of Adam in the mirror.}Everyone heads for safety in the doorway as per the directions/instructions from the blond woman.
The rattling stops!
They all head outside to take a look. Other people come running out of their houses.
The man working on the plumbing underneath the house is revealed to be Ethan!
Henry comes out of his house and looking up at the sky for something.
They all look up and see a plane "start" to break up overhead. {Oceanic logo}

Henry directs Goodwin to the tail section; in the water, "You can make that shore in an hour."
He also directs Ethan to the fuselage, "There may actually be survivors and you're one of them. A passenger you're in shock. Come up with an adequate story if they ask. Stay quiet. If they don't. Listen, Learn. Don't get involved. I want lists in three days. GO!"
{On your mark, get set, GO! Hmmm?!}
He asks the blond woman, "So I guess I'm out of the book club?"
This is Ben.
{Note that no one is panicking. Everyone just stands and watches. All is calm and under control.}
We get a shot of this little village; then the camera zooms out to show us it's on the HUGE Island! {Note the white bird/dove that flies up.}

Jack, looking scruffy, tired and troubled, sits in his car spying/stalking on Sarah. He’s wearing his wedding ring and drinking coffee.
In the schoolyard is Sarah where she must be a teacher. Children are playing in the playground.

Jack sits suspicious of Sarah. {There is his pager, it's says 7:15 23 am. Crossword puzzle, hospital ID badge with the super short haircut}
The song 'Moonlight Serenade' plays on the radio.
Sarah is looking at artwork with another man; she whispers in his ear. This man has a red artist's tool box. He also holds a sketch pad framed in yellow. She is giddy around this man.

EYE.
Jack wakes up!
It is dark in this "room"; he is groggy. His blood had drawn. He tries to open a door and tries to communicate through an old intercom on the wall but gets nowhere. He sees an open door. {Tempting him} He walks to it but walks right into a "glass wall". He tries to break through the glass wall but to no avail. Jack yells out for Kate!

Showers in a bathroom:
Kate wakes up and sees shoes.
Tom is there. "Rise and shine, Kate."
She asks where she is but of course he won't answer that question. Kate asks where Sawyer and Jack are. Tom offers her to "Take a nice hot shower, “Wake yourself up."
Kate won’t in shower front of him.
Tom laughs and says "You're not my type."
She has had blood drawn too. {These communal showers have lockers.}

Sawyer wakes up in a cage.
You hear the sounds of birds and a rooster, but they are not real: they are recorded and coming from speakers. We see another DHARMA symbol. {The HYDRA} A young man/teen is in another cage; he has his back to Sawyer. Sawyer asks him where they are but the kid doesn't answer.
Sawyer is curious about the large round red button that has a fork and knife symbol on it. {Food drop.} He pushes the button two times; a woman's recorded voice is heard.
The kid in the other cage tells Sawyer "I wouldn't do that."
Sawyer fluffs off his advice and hit's the button again. This time Sawyer is thrown across his cage because he was shocked, zapped with electricity!

Back in his dark glass cell, Jack sees a blinking red light on a video camera. {Being watched.} He climbs up thick chains and tries to pull them down.   A woman's voice tells him to stop that!
It is the blond woman from earlier; this is Juliet.
{FLASH}
Jack steps out of elevator and checks in at the reception counter at the lawyers office. Sarah is there. Jack is wearing his wedding ring; Sarah is not.    Jack has fired his lawyer.
He apologizes to Sarah "for pushing them to this place."
In the middle of his emotional "reaching out" Sarah's cell phone rings and she takes the call. Whoever is on the other end is important to her and knows why she's there; makes her giggle.
Jack seems sad/troubled by this. He wants to know what his name is.
Jack is hell bent on learning the name of the man in Sarah's life but Sarah won't give him an answer.
Yes, Jack is hurting.
Sarah walks away from him.

In his glass cell Jack is still pulling on the chains. Juliet goes over to adjust the volume on a sound/mixing board; making the microphone a bit louder. {With a touch of feedback too.} Jack asks where his friends are.
Juliet tries to calmly talk him down from the chains. She will tell him about his friends if he lets go of the chain. Juliet thinks Jack is stubborn. So, stubborn Jack keeps pulling on the chains.
{Like a child!}

Kate showers.
Her clothes have been removed from the locker room. She finds a note that directs her to put on the dress that is left for her. Kate wipes the fog off a giant mirror! {HOLY SHIT!}
Tom comes to get her, "Come on Kate, he's waiting."

Tom leads {with a few others} Kate down steps to outside.
She's led to a beach.
A beautiful Tiki like canopy covers Ben. An elegant table is set for two with a beautiful breakfast. Kate sees him and pulls away seemingly afraid to go to him. Ben is a gentleman. He tells her she must put the handcuffs on or she "don't get any coffee." {She must really want coffee because she puts the cuffs on tighter.}
Kate asks him, "What did you do with Sawyer and Jack?"
Ben comments on her choosing Sawyer's name over Jacks'.
Kate-"You don't know me."
Ben- "Of course I don't."
He tells her she can't have her clothes back because "We burned them." {Kate burned up her father.}
Kate-"Why did you bring me here? Why did you make me put on this dress? Why are you feeding me breakfast?"
Ben tells her he brought here there by the water so she would feel comforted; that your friends were looking out at the same ocean. He gave her the dress so she would feel like a lady and he wanted her to eat her food with a real live fork and feel civilized. He did all those things so she'd have something nice to hold on to, "Because Kate, the next two weeks are going to get very unpleasant."
{Comforted? As if it was home? Does Kate know who he is? Where she is? Is she going to be
{FLASH}
Jack is in his office {wedding ring on and a watch} is making phone calls to phone numbers from Sarah's cell phone. He's trying to find out "Who he is".
Jack's on the phone making up a story to the person on the other end, "She dropped her cell phone. I don't even know her last name. You're number was in her phone."
Christian {Chief of surgery} comes in. He seems troubled by Jacks new behavior.   Jack tells Christian to give him a minute; this while Jack with the phone in his hand, is scratching names off a list! Christian tells Jack he has to stop this, “It's over.”
Jack insists it's not; not until he knows his name, where he works, where he lives, when they first kissed….
Jack dials another number and Christian's cell phone rings.
It is revealed that Sarah has at least called Christian. This really troubles Jack. Christian again tells Jack to "Let this go."
Christian shares with Jack that Sarah was calling because "She was afraid for you. You were slipping. You were losing your grip! That's exactly what's happening here!"
Christian knows about being obsessive. {Yeah, So DO I! LOL!}
Jack-"Being a drunk is not obsessive." {Who is the drunk here?}
Christian-"Let it go Jack."

Jack trying to get out of his glass cell. He lets water drip into his mouth; it tastes like crap. He hears sound and voices coming from the intercom. He hears Christian say "Let it go Jack."
This startles him!
The lights go on. Juliet appears on the other side of the glass, all sweet. She brings him food and bottled water. She directs him were to sit inside the cell so she can bring him the tray. Jack is freaking about the guy who's trying to talk to him via the intercom.
Juliet informs him that intercom hasn't worked in years.
Jack asks her what the red button behind her is. She tells him it's for emergencies.
Jack-"Who's watching me?" {Fucking Finally!}
She again asks him if he'll sit against the wall; offering the grilled cheese just off the frying pan. It's cut into four, with four toothpicks. {Like it's cut for a child.}
Jack refuses the food.
Juliet asks him his profession. Jack paces in his cell and says he's a Repo man! {Wow! Different role for Jack! Is she quizzing him?} She asks if he's married and he says no; he never saw the point.
Jack-"What about you?"
Juliet
again, takes control of the questioning. "When your plane crashed, where were you flying from?"
Jack-"Sydney. I was bringing my father home….Because he was dead."
{ I want to note something here. Jack just gave her a whole bunch of other B.S. answers about his life; a made up version. Why would he in a split second decide to tell her this bit about his father being dead?}
Juliet puts her hand against his glass cell and tells him he can trust her. {WTF?}
Jack softens a bit and asks her "What the hell is going on here?"
Of course she doesn't answer him; only walks away eating his sandwich. {Bitch!}
By the way, she didn't make the sandwich she just put the toothpicks in.

Sawyer is hard at work in his cage mastering the art of food retrieval. The kid in the other cage asks him how long a walk is it to his camp, "…Where they got you, how long of a walk was it?…. What are the people like, from your plane? {Except they weren't picked up from the camp. They were taken down with darts by the pneumatic tubes. GO BACK AND LISTEN TO THEIR DIALOG! IMPORTANT!}
The kid has picked the lock to his cage. You hear a recorded woman's voice over speakers "SUBJECT ESCAPED/Escapes"
The kid lets Sawyer out and they run!

We see other types of cages; they look like bird aviaries.

Sawyer runs into Juliet. She takes him down with a funky dart firing air taser, complete with electric voltage! Sawyer gets dragged back into his cage.
Karl has been beaten up and he's forced to make an apology to Sawyer for involving him in his "breakout attempt".

Juliet again comes to Jack bearing food and drink. She explains to him that "The drugs we gave you when we brought you here have a fairly serious side effect; Dehydration. Your head is probably sore, your throat is raw and if you don't eat or drink something soon, you're going to start hallucinating. {Is that real or reverse psychology?}
Jack surmises she's a doctor.
Juliet says "No, I'm a Repo woman."
She goes on to say "No strings attached. {Like a puppet} You don't have to answer any questions. You don't have to do anything but sit with your back up against the far wall. Let me open that door put the plate down and leave. I know it feels like your giving up, like you're losing if you do anything that I ask you too. But you're not. You need to eat. {What a good mommy. LOL} Jack gives in and sits at the far wall.
{FLASH}
Jack is tending to a patient. {The room is fairly dark} Christian is in the hallway of the hospital talking to two other doctors.
Jack's nurse is writing down his instructions. Jack sees Christian answer his ringing cell phone. Jack watches him.
The nurse questions Dr. Jack, "Are you sure he's ready to self administer his pain meds?"
Jack sees that Christian is 'tickled' by whoever is on the other end of that phone call.
Jack is very suspicious.

Christian is pulling up to the Lynford hotel; he has a ticket in his hand. Jack has followed him. {Yep. followed him!}
Jack, still wearing his scrubs, steps out of the elevator and then through double doors; heads into the room that Christian entered. The sign on the door says "Friends of Bill W".
Jack storms into the room where they're having an {AA} meeting. Christian is getting coffee.
Jacks demands to see Christian's cell phone.
Christian calmly tells Jack, "Look where you are. Just look around you."
Again, Jack demands the phone.
The woman leader of the meeting recognizes Jack and suggests Jack "grab a chair and join us." {Does Jack need this meeting too?!  Hmmm?!}
Jack freaks because they all know him. He wants to know what info his 'Dad' revealed about him.
Jack- "That your son never really had it. Not like the old man. I didn't have the will to make it work. My life, my job, my marriage! What did you tell them about my marriage, Dad?"
Jack goes on to try to belittle Christian by exploiting his drinking habits. The woman leader reveals that Christian has been sober for 50 days.
Jack wonders what helped him turn that corner. Jack accuses him of sleeping with his wife.
Christian looks hurt and in disbelief of that comment.
Christian- "Jack. I'm your father. Jack. Please let it go."
Jack attacks Christian. They fight.

Close up of Jack's eyes as we see him eying the door for Juliet's entry.
Juliet comes in and Jack attacks her! Her electric/dart taser thingy falls to the ground.
Jack asks her, "Which way out?" Jack, while holding her by the neck, demands she open the door. She says she can't.
Ben appears and reveals she's telling the truth. Jack threatens to kill her.
Ben-"Have her open the door and she dies anyway. We all do."
Jack starts to open the door and Ben and Juliet run for safety; but only Ben escapes.
Jack's open door and floods the chamber with tons of water!
Juliet and Jack manage to close the door. She tells him to push the yellow button.
Juliet knocks Jack out! {TKO!} Jack is face down in the water.
Juliet saves him.

Sawyer in his cage, grabs a rock so he can try to retrieve some 'food' from the gizmo. He does and a lovely DHARMA fish biscuit is his reward; along with some pellets of food and water. Tom delivers a cuffed Kate to the other cage and locks her in.
Tom is amused that Sawyer figured out how to get a fish biscuit.
Tom-"It only took the bears two hours” to figure out how to do that. {So how long has Sawyer been in the cage?}
Sawyer is very concerned for Kate. He compliments her dress.
Kate tells him, "They made me wear it."
Apparently Kate didn't eat breakfast with Ben; she's hungry.
Sawyer gives her the fish biscuit. {He sure loves her!}

Back in his glass cell Jack wakes up.
Juliet is sitting on the other side with a huge file. Jack figures that he's in an aquarium for sharks. Juliet confirms they are underwater.
Jack is aware of the Dharma Initiative stations
.
Juliet says they (Dharma) called it the Hydra.
Jack wonders, "So, you people are just whatever's left over of them?"
Juliet-"That was a long time ago. It doesn't matter who we were. It only matter who we are. {Well? Who the hell are you?} We know exactly who you are Jack Shepard."
She goes on to tell him his life story, all of it! She's reading it out of a file.
Jack- "What is that?"
Juliet, touching the file- "This Jack, is your life."
It's about his friends and his family. Juliet tells him, "It's pretty much about everything."
Jack asks about his {he was about to say wife} "ex wife".
Juliet is all to happy to share shit about Sarah.

{FLASH}
Jack is in a jail cell. His bail has been posted. {The cardboard file boxes have hand writing on them, v-64-007 division 1. Stalking. Slander. Homicide. The other box- LAPD Docket} Jack puts his wedding ring back on and hands the plastic bag to the officer.

{You can hear the over the speaker “Get ready for lockdown”}
Sarah is standing there waiting for him.
Sarah-"Your dad told me you were here. I called you a cab. So. Goodbye." {She is very shut off from him; at least "to" him.  And Christian is still looking out for Jack.}
She walks away teary eyed and Jack goes after her through double doors.
There is a man waiting by a car across the street.
Jack asks her "Is that him?"
She says it's not going to change anything. Jack demands to know. {Apparently she just isn't going to answer his question. Why the hell not?}
Sarah-"It doesn't matter who he is. It just matters who you're not. Jack, your father, when he called me to help you. He was so drunk I could hardly understand him. {It appears at this point in his life Jack has a total disgust for Christian. But he's hurting. What made Jack turn this opposed to Christian?} Look at the bright side. Now you have something to fix."
Sarah heads over to the man by the car.
Jack is left teary eyed too.

Jack is in his glass cell.
Juliet sweetly asks what he would like to find out. {Why doesn't he just friggin ask her about the damn "Island", why are they there, who they are? All kinds of stuff!}
Jack- "Is she happy?"
Juliet-"Yes Jack. She's very happy."
Jack cries.
Juliet wants to bring him food and water. Jack concedes and sits back against the wall. Juliet leaves with her file.

Outside the door Ben is waiting for her. "Good work Juliet."
Juliet- "Thank you Ben."

A Tale of Two Cities is a GREAT EPISODE!!!

Check out the book Tale of Two Cities. WOW! This is the 2nd historical novel by Charles Dickens. There are many themes in that book that fit into our story.  Two men in love with the same woman, two sides involved in a revolution, man imprisoned-released and tries to reclaim his life, trial, Jacobin Reign of Terror, two people who look the same but have different personalities.  There's even a part of the story that tells about one of the characters who sits in his room and makes shoes.

What are we seeing in this episode? Does the possibility exist that this is a look at Jack's life off/after the "Island"? Hmmm?!    The Jack we see in the Flashes could appear to be a Jack, who after a long absence tries to get his life back. But he can't. Sarah had moved on. Did something happen to change Jack's demeanor? Make him hate Christian? Make him distrust people?
This Jack is angry, un-trusting, confused, out of control and DESPERATE! Possibly a big drinker.  The Jack on the "Island" is very level headed and in control.  Okay, I know you want to say, but Karen, Christian is alive and Jack's married to Sarah. YES. If all these clues are headed in that direction, what kind of FLASH does that make this? Do I dare say...Flash Forward. Could it just be that we're seeing Jack's life-different time…But still not a Flashback. Or is Jack experiencing something, just trying to find out who HE, HIMSELF really is? Confusing, I know.
But no matter what, we can clearly see here how whatever is happening "On island" is reflected in events in the "outside world", and vice versa. Things are BLURRED!

Things to Note…Questions to ask…
* Locke suggests popcorn to Desmond in Live Together Die Alone.
* Real plane "Crash" or image projected on a HUGE screen?   Hologram?  Or is it not even really there? What?
* Ben only sends spies to two of the sections of the plane. Yet we know the plane was in three sections. The tail, fuselage and front/nose {Where the pilot and Charlie's drugs were.}
* When the plane "crashes" Ben is giving direction and motivation as if he's the director of a "play".
* Ben and his role with the "crash"... Is this part of an exercise? A project? A learning drill? A game.
* The same song on radio as the day Hurley and Sayid make the radio.
* The drugs that the Others give the Castaways really knock them out! They don't even wake up when they get blood drawn or transported.
* What's with all the coffee in this episode? Coffee is a stimulant.
* Could the "whispers" they hear in the jungle be coming from speakers or when they are half asleep; semi-conscious?
* We don't find that Sawyer had blood work done. Why?
* Sawyer has to figure out how to get food. Jack gets food handed to him! Is Jack privileged or special? Kate has breakfast with Ben.
* Could Ben know all of them? Know they were "arriving" on the "Island"?  Ben knows lots! Love that!
* Jack says to the person on the other end of the phone in the FLASH that "I don't even know her last name…Sawyer tells Jack in a past episode "I didn't even know her last name." When talking about Ana Lucia.
* Jack calling Sarah's cell phone numbers. Jack dials Christian's number. JACK DOESN'T KNOW HIS OWN FATHERS CELL PHONE NUMBER! This is a number he is unfamiliar with! Do you know your families cell numbers? Unless Christian is really a representation of Jack. How's that for thinking outside of the LOST box?!
* THE LYNFORD. Could that be someone we meet in the future? Lyn Ford? Could it be a connection to James Ford? Am I just messed up in the head?
* Christian sober for 50 days. Did all their lives change 50 days ago? Christian sleeping with Sarah? No! Jack must have a big reason for not trusting and believing anything Christian says or does. Again...Unless Christian is really a representation of Jack.
* Cell- Jail cell- Cell phone
* Women in leadership.
* Jack's 'glass cell' is underwater.
* Jack a Repo-man. Juliet a Repo-woman.
* "Get ready for lock down" is heard in Jack's "off Island" cell.   Could this be where Jack was during the lock down on the "Island" in the episode "Lockdown"?

Vocabulary and Research...
* A Cage, barred enclosure, cell, jail cell, confine, pen.
* Repo man: Repo agent, a job which entails the retrieval of collateral or outstanding rented or leased objects.
* Here's some fun! Jump to the future…Repo! The Genetic Opera! is a rock musical movie , based on a play. To be released on April 25, 2008. That's cute huh? hehehe!
* Aviary: is a large enclosure for confining birds. Unlike cages, aviaries allow birds a larger living space in which to fly and simulate a natural environment. Large aviaries are often found in the setting of a zoo.
* HYDRA: 1). a persistent or many sided problem that presents new obstacles as soon as one aspect is solved.
2). Is one of the Saronic Islands of Greece.
3). Hydra is the largest modern constellation, at 1303 square degrees. Despite its size, Hydra contains only one reasonably bright star, Alphard .
4). is the outer-most natural satellite (moon) of Pluto. The Hydra-Centaurus Super-cluster, or the Hydra and Centaurus super-clusters, is a super-cluster in two parts and the closest neighbor of Milky way's Virgo super-cluster.
* The song Downtown was composed by Tony Hatch.
* Some words in Jacks crossword puzzle. A few are a play on familiar words. So look carefully!

A Tale of Two Cities that pretty much says it all!  Two cities, a revolution, two men in love with the same woman, an imprisoned man trying to reclaim his life...to find himself...Maybe…

THE BEGINNING OF THE END.

Let’s talk about LOST!  The Beginning of the End.

A mountain of papaya is plowed over by a red and white Camaro.
A police chase through warehouse docks with truck/freighters. {Black and white.}

A black jacket on couch. {Ice in glass.}
The TV is showing the police chase on the highway.   Action 8 reports there is no information who is driving the vehicle.  Jack makes a drink; Vodka/orange juice.{Screwdriver. Keys. No wedding ring. {Not the same kitchen we see in TTLG}

The news anchor informs Jack the pursuit started in the LaBrea area; started at the warehouse then south of 10 freeway.  The car is a vintage early 70’s model.
Jack watches the chase and apparently has a revelation, "Damn it."

The Camaro gets cornered by the black and whites; it jumps the chain link fence and crashes into mirrors. Randy Nations is taping the event, dressed in a uniform/vest. {Wow! He’s prepared to film} We hear a helicopter.
The cops have their guns drawn. This is an undesirable neighborhood.
The driver is instructed to show his hands and open the door with his left hand. The driver exits revealing it is Hugo. They want him on the ground but he tries to run!
The cops trap him and Hugo yells and pleads, "Stop! Don’t you know who I am. I’m one of the Oceanic 6! I’m one of the Oceanic 6!"
Randy is there taping whole damn thing! There's mirrors everywhere.

Hugo sits in the interrogation room at the police station; tears apart his cup.
Big Mike chats with Hugo about this adventure, "10 cruisers on a chase across the city..."
Hugo was in a convenience store minding his own business until he sees something, then freaks out and then runs out.   Hugo watches himself on the video surveillance tape from the store.   He is asked why he ran, "Who did he see in there?" {No Smoking sign.}
Hugo says he wasn’t running away from anyone.
Big Mike doesn’t care that he’s a celebrity and crashed his Camaro in the wrong neighborhood.
Hurley-"I’m not a celebrity."
Mike asks if that’s why he kept shouting, “Hey, I’m one of the Oceanic 6.”
Mike tells him a funny coincidence, his partner before he made detective was on that flight too; Ana Lucia Cortez. He asks maybe Hugo met her on the plane before it took off.
Hugo-"Sorry, never met her."
Mike tells him to watch the tape, "Maybe it’ll spark something.”
This dick is going to get a donut! HA!
Mike-"When I come back, you’re gonna tell me who you ran from."
Hugo watches this LOOPED footage and then he hears tapping. {2 sets of 3 taps} He looks at the 2 way mirror, then the video and then back to the 2 way mirror that has become an underwater scene.   A hooded figure swims up to the glass with its left hand up, {They need you} the glass breaks and water spills out everywhere!  Hugo screams and runs to the window of the door for help. Mike comes in but there is no broken glass and no water anywhere.
Mike asks him if he’s trying to get tossed into the nut house because Mike can make that happen right now. {Convenient} That’s exactly what Hugo wants!
Hurley {Red shirt} hangs on the window of the passenger side of the Dharma van radioing Jack. "Beach to Jack."
Jack tells him he spoke to the people on the boat and they’re on their way to pick them up.
Hurley’s happy "It worked."
Jack tells him to pack his bags; they’re all on their way back to the beach. Hurley is very excited.
Jack asks Kate if she had any luck finding Locke.
Kate- "No, It’s like he just disappeared."
She sees Naomi’s body face down with the knife in her back. Jack feels Locke killed Naomi because he’s crazy.
Kate-"So, what if he comes back?"
Jack-"If he comes back, I’m gonna kill him."
Kate asks if they’re really going home.
Jack-"Yeah. We’re really going home."

Claire and Sun play with Aaron. Sun shares she can’t believe she’s going to have her baby in a hospital.    Rose asks if the ladies need a hand and offers them water.
Claire says to Rose, “You must be very proud of Bernard, I hear he’s quite the hero."
Rose-"I think everyone up here knows the real hero is your man, Claire.   If Charlie didn’t turn off that gizmo we’d still be getting a busy signal on that fancy phone. So you better make sure you treat him real good when we get back."

Tied up Ben wants Danielle to take Alex and get a far from here as possible; they don’t have time to waste. Everyone who stays there is going to die.  He doesn’t care where she takes her, just go, "I will not have my daughter…"
Danielle hits him, "She’s/It's not your daughter." {Yes, I put It/she there. The closed caption showed ’she’, but I hear ’it’ or ’is’}

Sawyer drinks a Dharma beer while Juliet digs a hole.
Tom’s body is covered, but not his head/face!{I guess he needs to breathe.}

Hurley and Bernard look out to the water.
Hurley confesses to Bernard that he won the lottery and he has like, 150 million dollars, "Worse thing that ever happened to me." {Worse than a 'plane crash'?} He figures his family has it all since they think he’s dead, "When we get rescued and I go back, I’m gonna be free."
Hurley feels like doing a Cannonball. He’s been walking up and down this beach every day and he wants to do a cannonball.  Bernie encourages him to do it. So Hurley takes off his shoes and Cannonball’s into the water.
When he resurfaces he sees Desmond and the guys return on shore with the outrigger. {If they were that close how come he didn’t see them? How long was he under water?}

Desmond tells them they need to get to Jack, "We can’t let him get in touch with that boat."
Sawyer tells him the boats on the way.
Desmond tries to tell them Naomi lied "The people on the boat aren’t who they say they are!"
But he doesn’t know who they are.  Juliet says they have a walkie, they can call him.
Hurley comes over yells "Where’s Charlie?"
{It’s almost like they didn’t see Hurley that whole time. Hmmmm}
Desmond turns to him "I’m sorry brotha."
They realize Charlie is gone. They are all upset. {I am crying, again.}

Jack answer’s the ringing phone.
Kate-"That’s our ride."
On the phone is George Minkowski. They’re trying to get a lock on their signal but their getting some RF interference. George needs Naomi on the phone so they can re-jigger- the settings on the sat phone.  Jack lies and tells him Naomi went to get firewood.  They look around to see that Naomi is gone.
Ben’s still tied up.  Jack asks Ben where she is.
Ben mischievously cracks a smile and says, "I don’t know." {Very Cheshire cat!}

Hurley is mostly dry. Sayid is tells Sawyer that Des explained Charlie wrote on his hand...Sawyer is sorry he’s dead, "But I don’t even know what Not Penny’s Boat means."
Sayid tells them calling Jack accomplishes nothing. Juliet says it will warn him but Sayid explains it also means warning the people on the freighter that they’re suspicious of them, "I have no doubt they’re monitoring their communications."
Jin is listening to everything.
Sawyer and Sayid bicker and frustrated Hurley takes the walkie and throws it in the ocean.
Hurley-"We better get going."
Sawyer yells-"Going where?"

Jack hands out sticks. Danielle tells him she found blood; the girls trail; she can’t be more than 10 minutes ahead of them.   Jack wants to take Ben with them and Danielle asks why.  It's because Jack doesn’t trust Ben with anyone else.
Jack instructs the flock to head back down to the beach, "When these people show up, we want to make sure that we’re real easy for them to find. Okay?"
Claire tells Jack he looks worried.  He shares the only thing he’s worried about is missing their ride home.
Kate tells Jack she found her trail; she’s headed west across the Island.  He tells her Rousseau already found it. He’s going after her right now.
Kate seems confused. "Are you sure it’s hers?"
Jack-"Unless someone else is bleeding."
Kate explains that if she didn’t want them to find her she could have created a dummy trail. She thinks they should follow both just in case.
Jack-"6 hours from now we’re gonna be sittin' on that boat laughing about the fact that there was one final thing that we couldn’t agree upon."
Jack explains that Naomi is hurt and not thinking about leaving fake trails.  He’ll track her down; Kate will take everyone down to the beach. She hugs him long and tight. Ben watches; noticing something.

Sawyer asks Hurley what’s gotten into him.
Hurley-"You don’t wait with warning’s, you warn." {Then why destroy the walkie?} They all arm up; not Hurley. Sayid tosses Sawyer a rifle.
Sawyer-"And here I was thinking I was gonna get a good night’s sleep."

Santa Rosa:
Hugo plays Connect 4. He’s wearing a red robe.
He tells his opponent "You almost got me that time. How bout, best out of 7?"
His opponent is wearing a ski cap and is zoned!  The nurse brings Hugo his meds. The room is decorated with bugs, lady bugs and butterflies.
Matthew Abaddon is a visitor to see Hugo.  He is sitting at a table with a chess game; he waves at Hugo. {Tie looks like Dharma symbols}
The man introduces himself as an attorney for Oceanic Airlines. He is there because they heard about his resent episode, "Your arrest, your incarceration here.  Frankly we feel terrible about it. So, on behalf of Oceanic, we’d like to extend you an invitation to a little upgrade."
{Images of the "Island" on the board. Victory in red. Tribal mask, Palm tree, shark, boat}
His upgrade offer is to a facility where the paint isn’t peeling off the walls, where you’d have your own bathroom, he can see the ocean.
Hugo doesn’t want to see the ocean, he’s fine right "here".
Abaddon-"Are you fine, Mr. Reyes?...You’re in a mental institution."
Hugo-’"Who’d you say you were again? I’d like to see a business card."
Abaddon looks in his pockets and says, "I must have left them at home."
Hugo ends the meeting.
Abaddon-"Are they still alive?"
Hugo freaks out and calls for the nurse and tells Abaddon to get out, "Help me, Help me! He’s after me!"
Hugo sees the dark shadow head out the door.
Night:
Hurley w/torch.
Sayid w/torch; the rest walk through the jungle.
Sawyer asks Hugo if he’s Okay; he’s falling behind.   Sawyer asks him if he wants to talk about it.  Charlie because he knows they were buddies.
Hugo-"We’ll probably get to Jack faster if we don’t talk."
Hurley tells Sawyer he can keep up.
Sawyer-"All right esse, holler if you need me."
Sawyer can see he’s hurting.
Hugo stops walking. All of a sudden he realizes he is alone. The wind howls. He yells out for the ’guys’. There are Whispers.
Hugo sees the cabin. A light goes on inside.

Danielle tells Jack the blood trail ends here, "She fooled us."
Ben tells Jack to tell the people on her boat "she’s getting a really big bundle of firewood." {HA!} Jack realizes the phone is gone.
Ben admits to seeing Kate steal it from him when they hugged. Ben owed him one! {HA! Again} "She found the right trail but you wouldn’t listen to her so I guess she’s taking matters into her own hands. But look on the bright side, at least somebody around here knows what the hell they’re doing."
Danielle gives him one hell of a look.

Kate with a flashlight follows a trail. Ringing; Incoming call, she answers.
The guy on the other end asks "Who’s this?"
She replies "Kate."
The guy-"Are you with Jack?"
She tells him Jack's not there, they’re looking for Naomi.
He asks, "What do you mean you’re looking for her?"
Kate abruptly ends the call. Blood is dripped on her.  Naomi jumps her and holds a knife to Kate’s throat and demands the phone. Kate tells her she wants to help her.
Naomi-"I just spent the last three days trying to get you people rescued, and you throw this knife in my back."
Kate tells her John Locke did that to her.
Kate-"I swear to god we would never hurt you. You know us." {SHE KNOWS THEM?!}
Kate begs for Naomi’s help.
Ringing- incoming call.
Naomi talks to George on the phone. Naomi tells George a ’story’, "I had an accident. I’m hurt." She zones for a minute. She goes on to tell him she hit a tree branch when she parachuted in.
George-"We’ve lost our signal and we can’t come get you."
He asks her to change her tracking frequency.
Kate notices there's no knife in her back but Naomi seems to be suffering. Naomi fiddles with the phone and that seems to make things clear as a bell, "Hang on Naomi, we’ll get you back here ASAP."
Naomi-"I’m sorry George. Just tell my sister that I love her."
Naomi keels over.
Hugo-"Hello" as he walks up and looks in the window of the cabin. {We get an inside view looking out at him} We see white shoes and Christian is in the chair. Another figure pops up in front of the window. Startled Hugo runs away yelling for help!
He stops and takes a look back but the cabin disappeared.  He turns and sees the cabin has reappeared! The door to the cabin opens.
Hugo closes his eyes tight and repeats, "There’s nothing here. There’s nothing here. There’s nothing here. There’s nothing here."  As he backs away. {Does he mean ’there’s no place like home?} He opens his eyes and it’s gone again. He falls down. A torch light triggers him to open his eyes.
Locke is standing over him. "Hello Hugo."
Locke gives him water and asks how he got separated from the group. Hugo can get lost out there but apparently Locke can’t.
Hugo fell behind.
Locke-"What Desmond said happened in that station, not Penny’s boat, are you sure that’s what Charlie wrote on his hand?" {How did Locke hear about that?}
They both agree that Jack should never have called those people. They are going to have to try to "talk them into thinking they’re not coming here to rescue us."
If they can’t talk them out of it, then Charlie died for nothing.
Hurley catches up to Sawyer and the rest.
Sawyer-"Where the hell you been, Hugo?"
Hugo tells him "I got lost."
Locke arrives.
Sayid very meanly asks Locke "What are you doing here?"
Locke is there for the same reason they are; to warn Jack about the people on that boat.   He already gave it a shot but thought he’d have better luck with some support.  Angry Sayid wants to know why he destroyed the submarine. All of a sudden they hear whispers and then voices....It’s Jack and the flock.
Sun and Jin reunite.
Bernard and Rose reunite.
Alex and Juliet hug.
Hugo will tell Claire about Charlie.
Hugo cries, "He’s dead. Charlie's dead."
They hold each other and cry. {I’m crying AGAIN!}

Hugo sits under a big beautiful tree wearing his red robe and a blue shirt. He’s painting a picture in the yard of the nut house; he’s also snacking.
Another patient informs him, "I’d watch out if I were you. There’s a guy over there. Staring at you."  He points... It’s Charlie, wearing a black leather jacket, shirt with crow/raven on it, sunglasses, short hair, no rings.
Charlie tells Hurley not to run, "Sit down. I want to talk to you. Don’t do what you did in the store, okay? There’s no need to freak out."
Hurley-"I’m trying to buy some jerky and a Slushee and suddenly you’re standing there over by the Ho Ho’s. You’re dead. What do you expect me to do?"
Hurley tells him he may be in the mental hospital but he knows ’you’re dead’ and he’s not having an imaginary conversation with him.
Charlie tells him "I am dead. But I’m also here."
Hurley wants him to prove it so Charlie slaps him! {They both feel the sting} Hurley believes.
Charlie admits he knew he was going to die when he swam out there.  Hurley is in pain over Charlie’s death.
Charlie didn’t tell him because "You would have tried to stop me. And since I was gonna do it anyway I thought I would spare you all the drama.  And now you have to do something.  Be hiding from it. That’s the real reason you ran from me in the store. You knew I was here to tell you."
Hurley doesn’t want to listen, "You’re not here."
Charlie insists, "I am here. You’re being a baby."
Hurley covers his ears and closes his eyes tight, "I’m gonna close my eyes and I count to 5 and open it you’ll be gone."
Charlie-"I am here. Don’t so this. They need you." 1-2-3… "They need you Hugo. YOU KNOW THEY NEED YOU!"
"4-5!"
Opens his eyes and Charlie is gone!

At the plane wreckage Claire cries and asks what happened.
Hugo tells her he was trying to help us.
Danielle and Ben arrive.
Jack punches Locke in the face, gets Locke’s gun, points it at him and...
Juliet-"Jack."
Locke-"You’re not gonna shoot me Jack, anymore than I was gonna shoot you."
Jack pulls the fucking trigger!!!  { It’s not loaded or just didn't work.}
Jack tries to beat up Locke. Sayid and Sawyer pull him off.
Locke-"All I did. All I have ever done has been in the best interest of all of us."
Jack yells- "Are you insane?!" {Insane, you just tried to kill Locke!}
Locke knows he’s got a explaining to do but insists he never did anything to hurt any of you. He even risked his life to tell you there was a traitor in their midst.
Jack says she helped them, "All you ever did was blow up every chance we had of getting off this island. You killed Naomi."
Ben-"Well, technically, he didn’t kill her yet."
Kate arrives-"Yes he did. She just died. She didn’t give you up, John and she fixed this."
The phone. {At this point with the dramatic music and all, I just want to say, Colonel Mustard did it in the library with a wrench. Hehehe}
Kate tells Jack "They’re on their way."
Locke says she didn’t cover for anyone, "She wants her people to come here. And trust me, when they do we had better be far away from here. I’m going to the barracks, the others abandoned them, it’s the only place on the island with any form of security right now, it’ll have to do until he can think of something else. Until then, if you want to live, you need to come with me."
Jack-"No one’s going anywhere with you John. Because they’re not crazy."
Hugo says he’s not crazy, "What about Charlie? Charlie went down there to that place so we could all be rescued. And whatever he did down there it worked. But then something must have happened. Must have heard something before he- I don’t know why but he changed his mind. Because the last thing he did was to warn us that the people on that boat are not who they said they were. So I’m not listening to you! I’m listening to my friend. I’m listening to Charlie."
The whole time he is crying {Me too!}
Jack puts his head down; he looks troubled. {WHY DOESN’T DESMOND SAY ANYTHING?}

They start picking sides.
Ben-"Jack with your permission I’d like to go with John." {I LOVE IT!!}
Jack-"He’s all yours."
Bernard tells Rose that she’d never leave the island; he’ll be right behind her.
Rose-"I’m not going anywhere with that man." {Why? Is that not Locke?}
Sawyer picks Locke because he feels its "Surviving."

Team Locke-Hurley, Claire, Aaron, Sawyer, Alex, Karl, Danielle, Ben.
Team Jack-Kate, Rose Bernard, Sayid, Juliet and Desmond.

It rains. Locke tells them they "know where to find them when you change your mind."

In the Santa Rosa gym Hugo is shooting baskets.
Happy Jack comes to visit him. Black/dark suit, tie, shaved, no wedding ring, professional. Apparently Hugo never misses getting a basket.
Jack was on his way back from a consult. Jack suggests a game of horse. Hugo asks if he’s back doing surgical stuff.
Yes, Jack is.
Hugo asks if the reporters are leaving him alone.
Jack-"I still have to sign some autographs when I go out for coffee. I’m thinking about growing a beard."
Hugo tells him he would look weird with a beard. H-O.
Hugo makes the baskets, Jack doesn’t.
Hugo- "So, What are you really doing here, Jack?"
Jack’s just checking on him.
Hugo-"You checking to see if I went nuts, if I was gonna tell?"
Jack wonders,"Are you?"
Hugo doesn’t answer, he just tells Jack ’you’re up."
Jack-"Nah, you win. (Looks at watch) I gotta run. It was great seeing ya, Hurley."
Jack takes his jacket off the office/executive chair not the regular white chairs.
Hurley-"I’m sorry. I’m sorry I went with Locke. I should have stayed with you."
Jack- "It’s water under the bridge, man"
Hurley raises his voice-"I don’t think we did the right thing, Jack. I think it wants us to come back. It’s gonna do everything it can."
Jack yells-"We’re never going back!"
Hurley-"Never say never, dude."

Jack and Kate are in the rain at the plane wreckage. They look in and she asks if he’s thinking of Charlie.
Jack-"It feels like a hundred years ago that we came out here together. How did this happen?"
Kate comments the thunder’s getting louder and they realize it’s a helicopter. They see someone parachute out.
They get to the parachute with the blinking red beacon on him.
The parachuter asks-"Are you Jack?"

The beginning of the end is a GREAT EPISODE!!!!!!!
Here it is, another chapter to the story.  A different vibe, different feel.
Everyone seems to be trying to "get to Jack" and either warn or help him.   Are they inadvertently acting as guides for Jack, trying to keep him on a path?

Things to note...Questions to ask...
* Guess=Knowing?
* EYES.
* Time lapses.
* Blood.
* Jack believes Danielle’s discovery of the trail and not Kate’s.
* If Charlie isn’t real, why bother with RayBan sunglasses? To prove he’s really there he slaps Hurley! PLUS someone else saw Charlie.  Big Mike wants to know "who" he was running away from...Would that be proof enough for you? Hmmm.
* When are these "Flashes" from?  Are they all from the future? Do people really die or are they just removed? Dead for real?  Metaphorically? Or faked with a new identity? I’m just fucking asking!
* Hugo knows the same count to 5 method as Jack and Kate.
* Kate, Kate, Kate.
* Locke’s not the only one on the "Island" who knows how to blow shit up….Danielle knows her way around dynamite.
* A chess game set up in the mental hospital where all the other activities are basically simple.
* Six. Oceanic 6.
* The Best of 7 (game played 7 times)
* Connect 4. Where’s Leonard?!
* Choosing sides.
* Ho Ho’s. H-O- North. Santa Clause is coming to town.
* Real. Not Real. Fooled.  Dummy. Lied to. Tricks. Covers. Cover up.
* How come Hugo is walking with the Castaways one minute and a second later his is alone lost in the jungle? That is a very important issue!
* Hugo has this experience with the cabin,and then there’s "Locke". He didn’t see it? Why not?
* At one point is Randy's lens cap on?
* Who took the knife out of Naomi’s back?
* The freighter says they’ve lost the signal and can’t come to get her/clear as a bell...Sounds fishy to me!
* Why would Naomi die? The "Island" used its {physical} "healing powers" on her before.
* 100 years.
* Michael drew a picture for Walt...It was of a penguin.  Hurley draws Eskimo/igloo. Cold
* Why does Hurley throw the walkie in the ocean?
* Ana Lucia, Big Mike, Randy Nations...See, it all comes back around. The same players, scenes, props, the same imagery as the island, etc.
* Mirrors. 2 Way Mirror. Glass. Window.
* Visions. Hallucinations. Medication. Substances, Crazy. Hospital Santa Rosa.
* How many helicopters are on that freighter?  Naomi’s went down and here’s another one.
* Jack is capable of killing.
* Christian is not Jacob.
* No Coincidences, PEOPLE!!
* Hurley is special. Important.
* Are Jack and Hurley 2 horses/knights?

Research...For Fun!
The constant clues to cold made me look deeper. I think it literally/physically has something to do with the North and/or metaphorically "moral compass north".  But if they are not in the north, have to head north or we’re missing the importance of the NORTH clue, what if?...Could they be in a suspended state of animation? Hehehe!

♦ Cryonics is the low-temperature preservation of humans and other animals that can no longer be sustained by contemporary medicine until resuscitation may be possible in the future. Human cryopreservation is not currently reversible. Cryonics is derived from the Greek word meaning cold.
♦ In physics or engineering, cryogenics is the study of the production of very low temperatures (below –150 °C, –238 °F or 123 K) and the behavior of materials at those temperatures. (Rather than the familiar temperature scales of Fahrenheit and Celsius, cryogenicists use the Rankine and Kelvin scales.) The Kelvin scale is a thermodynamic (absolute) temperature scale where absolute zero, the theoretical absence of all thermal energy, is zero.

The Beginning of the End...When did it start?
Is Hurley/Hugo in danger of abandoning the people who need his help?
The "Island" will do whatever "it" takes to bring them back!  They have to go back!  They have been back! They probably will go back again!  Maybe, they never really leave.

Disclaimer:I never claim to know everything about the show and my thoughts by no means make me right! The things I share here are my views and/or opinions. I don’t claim to catch every single detail either! You all know I hate spoilers! And I stand clear of reading certain sites as to not take me off my own course of research. The one thing I don’t need to do here is rehash all of the obvious clues from an episode, we all know what they are. Understood? Good! Let the fun begin! I’ll only note things that I know come up as clues later, but need to be noted when they first show up and things I find that will be of importance! It will get very exciting as we progress into the story.
