Let’s talk about LOST! JI YEON…and Baby Makes…
I HAVEN’T RE-WATCHED. THESE ARE PRELIMINARY NOTES! I WILL DETAIL THIS EPISODE SOON!
An interesting episode with lots of questions!
I didn’t leave much here for you all I’m afraid. I’ve been trying to play catch up on everything, but please share your thoughts with me.
Things to note...Questions to ask...
* "Flashes"!!! WoooHoooo. Not in time order or just plain wrong.
It was easier to see this when they used two people for this example instead of me always trying to convince you that’s what’s going on. But there it was! Not only that, we're able to see the blurring, crossovers and connections as if things are layers right on top of each other.
* Time? Time Travel? Time line- If there are NO time travel issues, Sun is hanging out with Hurley and the infant around July-ish 2005. Now that would make my previous time line work, i.e. The Hunting Party, Tale of Two Cities, etc.,
But, If Jin’s marker/tombstone shows 9/22/04, how is Sun explaining the at least 6 week difference of seeing her husband last and conceiving? I’m just asking!
* Waaaaaaaaaaalt!!! Looks like Waaaaaalt could have written the damn note. It looks "child-like".
* Kevin Johnson. Michael.
* Regina reads a book upside down. That's bizarre. She jumps overboard wrapped in chains. Well, maybe she’s just going to an underwater hatch, lair or city. Maybe she is trying to kill herself…Why?
* What is going on with the ship that they are acting all freaky? They look like zombies/shit! They're killing themselves and others. Is it drug induced, withdrawal or hypnosis or not really happening? Or is there no other way out of a particular situation?
* Is someone/something making this happen?
* Expose. The Cobra. Someone is working for our cobra.
* Professional sailors getting "cabin fever". NOT. How long have they been sailing around for? Hmmm?
* The boat’s moving..."If you say it is."
* Sun really wanted to have her baby at home, so could this be a case of "If you say it is"? Meaning she wished that. I wonder...
* Proof of things being faked, on a GRAND scale! There it was!!!
* Dr Ray scares me!
* Dr. Bae. {Bay} Dr. Park. Hmmmmm.
* Juliet is Sun’s doctor! WTF? Juliet’s a tattle tale too. Hahaha. Like she has no friggin secrets!
* Jin’s "Flashes" had more Chinese and Japanese references in them.
* ORCHIDS ALL AROUND SUN.
* Sun is a good teacher. She’s the only one who ever really asks questions and demands answers. She delivers her baby alone with no family with her.
* Sun won’t remove her wedding ring during delivery. Is she still married to Jin? Maybe he’s gone. Or Jin could have stayed on the island and sent her back home to have the baby. Sun is afraid there’s something wrong with the baby.
* Black and white. Clothes, Panda Bear.
* Year of the dragon. February 5, 2000. January 23, 2012
* Dragon-Hydra.
* Captain Gault. He knows that Desmond knows who Charles Widmore is.
* Bugs. Cockroaches.
* Power Rangers. Action figures of morphing superheros.
* Desmond is way too comfortable taking off his shoes and catching some zzz’s. The note comes in the door/grill and he has Sayid get up and get it. WTF?! Get it yourself! Why make Sayid get it? Desmond didn’t even freak when he realized it was Widmore’s boat.
* Are any of them older than we think?
* Hurley is not in Santa Rosa! By the way, he looked very handsome!
* Bernard calls Locke a murderer. As I recall Bernard shot at dynamite and blew up the tent that KILLED a few Others! Many of them can be considered murderers.
* Special people. Locke, Rose, Hurley. Walt, Sun….
* Blood.
Vocabulary and Research...
* Giant Panda , "black-and-white cat-foot"; traditional Chinese: literally: "big bear cat" is a mammal classified in the bear family. The Giant Panda is an endangered species. While the dragon has historically served as China’s national emblem, in recent decades the Giant Panda has also served as emblem for the country.
* Mandarin oranges are the most popular and most abundant fruit during Chinese New Year — jin ju.
* The dragon, "a serpent of huge size, a python, a dragon. is a mythical creature typically depicted as a gigantic and powerful serpent or other reptile with magical or spiritual qualities.
* Cockroaches are insects of the order Blattodea. The earliest cockroach-like fossils are from the Carboniferous period between 354–295 million years ago. Cockroaches are most common in tropical and subtropical climates.
- Heroes, Mohinder Suresh (a genetics professor) describes cockroaches, and not humans, as the pinnacle of evolution.
Many movies have been made, telling the story of alien, bugs morphing into people, killing people, taking over the world. Movies like Mimic, Men in Black and Starship Troopers.
* The Gault Clay is a formation of stiff blue clay deposited in a calm, fairly deep water marine environment during the Lower Cretaceous Period.
I really enjoyed this episode. We were re-visited by a few important clues of episodes past.
Walt and Michael, Rose’s cancer, sickness, blood, babies, birth. We need to keep these clues nearby.
Of course remember..."We have to go back!"
This was a great episode. I cried. Jin and Sun truly love each other.
BUT THINGS ARE WRONG!

Disclaimer: I never claim to know everything about the show and my thoughts by no means make me right! The things I share here are my views and/or opinions. I don't claim to catch every single detail either! You all know I hate spoilers! And I stand clear of reading certain sites as to not take me off my own course of research. The one thing I don't need to do here is rehash all of the obvious clues from an episode, we all know what they are. Understood? Good! Let the fun begin! I'll only note things that I know come up as clues later, but need to be noted when they first show up and things I find that will be of importance! It will get very exciting as we progress into the story.

The Other Woman. Ho Ho Ho.
PLEASE NOTE these notes were posted on MySpace March 8, 2008.
Let's talk about LOST! The Other Woman. Ho Ho Ho.
THIS IS NOT MY USUAL DETAILED EPISODE POST! I WILL DETAIL THIS EPISODE IN ORDER OF ALL EPISODES. I have NOT re-watched. These are a few things that stuck out to me and things we need to think about. I'll build upon them with my upcoming research.
The Other Woman is a great episode!
Okay, without this being my "Official detailed episode clues blog", I can only ask questions about this episode and have fun doing it. So, until the "Official…" here's some fun thoughts on a fun night of LOST!
There is no doubt that this season has a completely different feel. It should! We're dealing with a must different layer of the story!!
When I saw the TEMPEST, my first thought....Star Wars/Return of the Jedi, Han Solo, Princess Leia and Chewbacca. They shot their way into a similar entrance. But there's much more of a Star Wars feel running through this episode!
Things to note…Questions to ask...
* Little quiet, intelligent, timid Juliet has an affair with a married man. A man who is her own therapist's husband! Shouldn't she know better? Isn't the island a little small to pull off an affair?
* Juliet plays with a ZEN GARDEN. {dark/light rocks} She makes wavy lines in the sand.
* Harper. Goodwin.
* In Harper's office: Sailboat, Hour glass.
* Laundry.
* Juliet in therapy! Yeah, right, who would have guessed that? We have to keep the ties to Santa Rosa going. It's stressful being an Other! Is it stressful being a native too?!
* As of the time that Goodwin and Juliet are having a picnic there are children on the island! Is it just Emma and Zack they're talking about? Aaron? How many other kids?
* Women who conceive on the Island are the ones who have problems with carrying. What is happening different with island conception? Or is it in the DNA? The DNA structure change?
* Smoke Monster/Harper? Could be. If I was the smoke monster, and I felt that Charlotte and Daniel we're trouble, I would just take them out myself. Why transform into Harper? Unless the 'smoke monster' is there to trigger a certain action from Juliet. Or maybe the smoke monster wants to manipulate the Jack/Juliet situation, one way or the other.
* The Red Socks. A hint to Christian hanging around, perhaps.
* Safe. Box. Locke.
* Ben is very jealous of Juliet's and Goodwin's relationship. Are we led to believe that Ben amped up the arrival of flight 815. He knew putting Goodwin in a certain situation would take Goodwin out of the picture. And how come Ben wasn't jumping up and down when a 'spinal surgeon' was available to him?
* Harper's degree has a HANSO logo on it.
* Why is Claire so concerned with how John is dealing with things?
* Is Miles still holding the grenade in his mouth?
* They're running out of chicken! Why? Where do the chickens come from?
* Eat rabbit, they taste like chicken! This rabbit wasn't white!
* Did it have a number on it? Is that a hint to Ben not really killing the bunny with Sawyer? Or a hint to The Orchid? Why couldn't we be taken to the damn Orchid already?!
* Being gone/Dead...Not really.
* Why is Goodwin, a doctor, lying to another doctor about how he got hurt?
* I must note that Juliet comes up through the water at the beach picnic with Goodwin.
* What is the deal with Charlotte and Daniel's mission at the TEMPEST? Did you see some interesting things inside the TEMPEST?! More on that in the detail blog.
* The Juliet in the flashes has the same personality as the Juliet we see in Miami. Not the tough Juliet that is in charge, can kick ass and shoot someone. Ben's go to gal.
* Does Juliet and Jack have history? Do I really have to discuss their kiss?
* Widmore. Yep!! If he bought the Black Rock journal back a bunch of years ago, he would already know where the island is. So, if so, is he responsible for placing Desmond on the island? Or did Desmond steal the journal and get to the island on his own, and Widmore has just now found it? Ok, I’ll stop that now! hehehe.
* The Losties at the barracks are way too comfortable there, especially John.
* Ben is creepy! Yes, but in control, always where he wants to be. Does he need to be in Santa Rosa?
* Everyone is where they want to be...
* Why isn't Locke asking a million questions? Ben still gets his way. He is the Jedi Master! Locke doesn't even ask him how he got footage of Widmore from the outside world!
* "BEN WILL WIN."
* "You're mine."
* What's with tracking in the rain? Tracking….
* The chess board is very much turned around.
* Ben must work for HANSO.
* Does anyone have the whispers?!!! I neeeeed them!
* Why does John need to sit down to hear the news about who is on the boat? Just show us Michael ALREADY!!!! If it's not Michael, who?
* The "Losties" the original Hostiles…
* Is someone's father on the Island trying to protect their "child"?
Vocabulary and Research…
* The Tempest was a steamship of the Anchor Line. It was with the Tempest that the Anchor Line began its transatlantic service between Glasgow and New York. She sailed on February 26, 1857, with a crew and passengers of one hundred and fifty on board, and vanished without a trace.
* A tempest is a violent storm.
* TEMPEST is a codename referring to investigations and studies of compromising emanations (CE). Compromising emanations are defined as unintentional intelligence-bearing signals which, if intercepted and analyzed, disclose the information transmitted, received, handled, or otherwise processed by any information-processing equipment.
* The Tempest is a play written by William Shakespeare.
* Tempest is the name of a powerful, 4-legged Martian Machine in the 1998 PC Game Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds.
* Angel Salvadore, often simply called Angel but now going by the codename Tempest, is a fictional character created by Grant Morrison and Ethan Van Sciver. She first appeared in New X-Men.
AND MY FAVORITE!!!!
* Tempest is the 3rd novel in the Legacy of the Force series, taking place some 40 years after the original Star Wars trilogy. As civil war threatens the unity of the Galactic Alliance, Han and Leia Solo have enraged their families and the Jedi by joining the Corellian insurgents. But the Solos draw the line when they discover the rebels' plot to make the Hapan Consortium an ally - which rests upon Hapan nobles murdering their pro-Alliance queen and her daughter. Yet the Solos' selfless determination to save the queen cannot dispel the inescapable consequences of their actions that will pit mother against son and brother against sister in the battles ahead. For as Jacen Solo's dark powers grow stronger under the Dark Jedi Lumiya and his influence over Ben Skywalker becomes more insidious.
* Horseshoes is an outdoor game played between 2 people (or 2 teams of 2 people) using 6 horseshoes and 2 stakes. The game is played by the players alternating turns tossing horseshoes at stakes in the ground, which are traditionally placed 40 feet (12.19 meters) apart. In horseshoes, there are two ways to score: by throwing "ringers," or by throwing the horseshoe nearest to the opposite stake. This scoring system gives rise to the popular expression "Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades." A ringer is a thrown horseshoe such that the horseshoe completely encircles the stake. The game can be traced back to ancient times. Horseshoes are made of iron.
The Other Woman. Juliet, Kate, Harper, Claire, Charlotte… Are we sure we're seeing all about the past? Couldn't we be seeing the future!?
Maybe we are seeing the Return of our own Jedi after all! Hehehe.

I'll Be Your Constant.
PLEASE NOTE the following notes were posted on MySpace March 1, 2008
THIS IS NOT MY USUAL DETAILED EPISODE NOTES. I WILL DETAIL THIS EPISODE IN ORDER OF ALL EPISODES.
I have NOT re-watched. These are a few things that stuck out to me and things we need to think about. I'll build upon them with my upcoming research.
The Constant is a GREAT episode! WOW! WOW! WOW!
I need to start with the title of this episode as it is very important.
A constant is something that does not change over time or "otherwise"; a fixed value! So how can a person be a constant? People are variables. They can get hit by a car and die.
Things to note…Questions to ask...
* Desmond says…"I'm not here-this isn't happening". {Not real-real} I'm not supposed to be here.
* Watch out for those 4! They are not the Fantastic Four at all! They are very smart and dangerous.
* Daniel is playing with people's lives.
* GAME; A Chess game. Pieces are getting moved around. I 'm just waiting for the Queen to show herself.
* Thunderhead. Clouds. Electromagnet/Radiation over the island?
* Time is still a messed up issue. Desmond's "Flashes" are still troubling me. They are not consistent. When he goes into a "Flash" it doesn't match up physically to how he 'enters' a "Flash".
* Widmore. The auction. A Grand Master perhaps.
* The seller of the "journal" is Tovard Hanso.
* Desmond sees himself in the mirror on the ship. Two Desmond's. {part of Sayid's reflection}
* 1996. Christmas Eve 2004. 8 years in who's time?
* This "sickness: ... Are we being fooled? Why doesn't everyone have it? Daniel asks if Desmond had recently been exposed to high levels of radiation or electromagnetism. If it's due to that, they all were exposed to it. Sayid is fine, so is everyone else on the island.
* Minkowski- How come he's got this "sickness"? Really?! The rest of the ship is fine. If this is the sickness Danielle mentions why didn't she get it?
* Ferris wheel= Loop
* Freighter. Ship. Sick bay. Someone tears up all the wires for communication. There's a tube on the table.
* The numbers are all over this episode. Where's Leonard?
* 755 - Widmore's Auction Number
* 423 Cheyne Walk - Penny's Flat.
* 7946-0893 - Penny's phone number.
* Set the machine 2.342 Oscillating 11 hertz.
* The auction lot number of the Black Rock diary is 2342
* Michael's bearing 325.
* Cheat sheet bearing 305.
* Eko's stick had "Lift up your eyes and look north John 3:05".
* Widmore buys Hanso's "journal". Des ends up on the Island. Does Desmond get sent there by Widmore? Or does he steal the "journal" and coincidentally find the island on his own?
* Charles Dickens items are up for auction.
* Daniel's black and white note book. "Journal" {Pearl station uses black and white note books. I'm just saying!}
* Penny's floor is black and white. Her walls are a rose color.
* Penny and Desmond's picture.
* Sayid is a friggin genius! He can make a radio/phone out of anything! You just have to give him a minute.
* Who is their friend on the ship who opens the door for them?
* Mouse in a maze. Eloise dies from what Dan assumes is a brain aneurysm. Yet Daniel tells Desmond his fate may be the same as Eloise. How do we know how Eloise really died?
* Minkowski. Strapped down. Injection. Time "Flashes".
* Jack has a damn phone, why doesn't he call me?!
* Desmond speaks to Penny on a red phone.
* Water running in the bathroom. Water!! Just add water.
* Keamy crew member on the freighter Kahana. He is from Las Vegas, Nevada. Has a tattoo that looks like a 'bear claw' in a circle. I have to find a good picture of it, to detail it.
* Omar is a crew member aboard the freighter. He's from Florida.
* Where's Regina? {Regina means Queen in Italian}
* No one asked about Naomi.
* Dr. Ray.
* Queen's College, Department of Physics is one of the constituent colleges of the University of Oxford.
* You would think Daniel, working at Oxford, would look more presentable. Don't they have a dress code and personal appearance requirement for not only their students but their teachers?!
* Santa Rosa, Santa Rosa, Santa Rosa.....
Great a Comic Book reference. No matter what, the 6 will return to the Island.
* The Island hidden in plain sight. Again, maybe the safe way to travel to and from the Island is deep under water or...
Vocabulary and Research...
* Constants are real numbers or numerical values which are significantly interesting in some way term "constant" is used both for mathematical constants and for physical constants, but with quite different meanings.
One always talks about definable and almost always also computable, mathematical constants.
* Physical Constant, a physical quantity that is generally believed to be both universal in nature and constant in time, such as c, the speed of light, or h, the Planck constant.
* Cosmological constant, usually denoted by Ë, a parameter modifying the original equations of the theory of general relativity, introduced by Einstein and important for determining the ultimate fate of the universe as predicted by the theory.
* Time Constant, usually denoted by ô, a value characterizing the frequency response of a first-order, linear time-invariant system Reaction rate constant.
Last night's episode threw out the clue of "Ferris Wheel". Yes, it goes around and around, it can hold 50-100 people, and can over see much of the land below it. It's one big giant LOOP. That makes perfect sense and fit's our story like a glove. But of course, being a kid who grew up in New York and getting to ride a huge Ferris Wheel on field trips, I recalled my younger days at Coney Island. That ride used to scare the crap out of me!
In all seriousness, this was a fantastic episode. I can't wait to detail it. Share your thoughts with me.

* Where's Regina? {Regina means Queen in Italian}
* No one asked about Naomi.
* Dr. Ray.

Good Morning, Bacon and Eggs?
PLEASE NOTE these notes were posted on MySpace Feb 22, 2008
Let's talk about LOST! Good Morning. Bacon and Eggs?
THIS IS NOT MY USUAL DETAILED EPISODE POST! I WILL DETAIL THIS EPISODE IN ORDER OF ALL EPISODES.
I have NOT re-watched EGGTOWN to detail this episode yet. These are a few things that stuck out to me. Things we need to think about. I'll build upon them with my upcoming research.
Things to note…Questions to ask...
* Locke's EYE. White tee-shirt.
* Lock. Locke. Locker….
* Backgammon.
* The last 2 eggs.
* Pregnancy. Parental figures.
* 3.2 million dollars.
* Ben still pushing Locke's buttons.
* Speaking of "Ben."- Not what we think.
* Oceanic 6. Not what we think…
* Diane wants to see her grandchild.
* Diane's told she'll live 6 months, for the past 4 years.
* Island Aaron is Jack's nephew. But who's the father? Really?
* Xanadu. {Don't hate me for hating this movie}
* "This island"
* Boathouse.
* They're all making DEALS!
* Where's this damn helicopter? Charlotte and Miles don't wonder why they haven't heard from their own boat in over a day?! Come on! Call 911. WTF?
* Sharpen his simple memory skills.
* Is there a "father" with MANY children? Hmmmm.
* "Christian" Baaaa.
* Aaron.
* What's real? What's not?
* With all those houses in Other town, they take up residence in Ben and Juliet's houses. That's just too funny.
* In the courtroom we hear, the marshal died in the crash. We know that's a lie. Jack even ends the marshal's life!
* The inmates are wearing RED.
* 8. 6 survived. 1 of them would be an infant? Nope. That doesn't make sense! How do they explain an infant surviving a plane crash in the water? Unless Claire 'survived' too?
* Sun doesn't want to pick a place to live in America. Jin's looking at a map of New Mexico. She wants her baby at home. That's interesting. There's a hint to New Mexico in the fan made video.
* Grenade in Miles' mouth. Priceless!
* Democracy VS. Dictatorship.
* John's evolving. {Different John}
* Will we ever see 2 of everyone?
* Aaron's room. Pictures of topical/monkey, Picture over the dresser by the door has a 6 of spades2 robots over his bed. in it.
* The rest of the island residents…Did they choose to stay on the "island" or did they all perish during an incident?
* The hatch system/underground must be like a multi-layered Honeycomb.
* Why would Kate get to play 'mother' to this baby if she's such a bad person? Why did Kate want to leave this "island" unless she made a promise to someone. She's willing to leave. But it seems that she is willing to do that for the protection of Aaron. If that's the case, what/who would Aaron need protection from? What makes him so special?
So, if this is about a promise to care for "Island", Aaron {and not her own baby Aaron} could this promise be to Claire to take care of him for some reason? Why? Claire dies. {Not!} It could be. {I still reference the Locke vision from time to time. It comes in handy!} Maybe Claire stays on the "Island". Maybe this isn't Island Aaron. It could just be that the babies from now on will all look the same and are called Aaron! Hehehe. Ok, maybe this Aaron grows very fast, like Waaaaaalt!
* The Losties are Mainstays of the island. Thanks to the Wal -Mart reference on the bottom of Kate's coffee cup.
Vocabulary and Research...
* Xanadu, also Zanadu, (was the summer capitol of Kublai Khan's Mongol Empire, which covered much of Asia and also encroached upon Eastern Europe. The city was located in what is now called Inner Mongolia. The capital consisted of the square-shaped "Outer City", "Inner City" and the palace, where Kublai Khan stayed in summer. The palace was 550 meters square, 40% the size of the Forbidden City in Beijing. The most visible modern-day remnants are the earthen walls though there is also a (ground-level) circular brick platform in the center of the inner enclosure. -Xanadu was visited by Venetian explorer Marco Polo in 1275; it became fabled as a metaphor for opulence.
-Xanadu is home to the comic strip character Mandrake the Magician, created by Lee Falk, believed by some to have been the first bona fide superhero.
-Xanadu is also one of the names given to The Beast in the novel The Beast House by horror writer Richard Laymon. The same beast is also referenced in The Midnight Tour, The Cellar, and, Friday Night in the Beast House.
-Xanadu is the name of a very reflective region on the surface of Saturn's largest moon, Titan.
-The song "Welcome to the Pleasure dome" by Frankie Goes to Hollywood is based on the Coleridge poem.
-In the popular zoo simulation franchise Zoo Tycoon, it is used as a cheat code.
-The 1980 musical film Xanadu is considered a cult film. Yuk!
-It is the name of Charles Foster Kane's Mansion in the Classic Movie Citizen Kane.
Let's have some FUN! JUST FOR THE SAKE OF FUN! Because it's friggin Friday, it's been a long ass week and I need to think happy thoughts!
Let's put on our science fiction hats...
Imagine... Let's go back to the days of a great sci-fi comic book, or even an awesome Stephen King story. An epic sci-fi story of good vs. evil. Throw in some major players with lots of money and tons of power. Let's toss in a 'few' of the clues we've come across over the past 3 years; Mysterious, hidden 'island', time/space travel, confinement, drugs/medication, DNA, fertility, genetics, bugs, life extension, deep freeze, livestock, hatch, war, etc. Let's say there is a superior being who is the Mac daddy of the 'island' and they're creating/breeding people with this 'being.' Maybe it's to continue the magical DNA of the 'island' or they're giving us mutant people with super powers? Either way, they all travel anywhere and to anytime they want with their twin robot counter parts, because the 'island' is really a huge space ship! Oooo, Aaaah!
Now roll all that up into one neat package, tie it up in a pretty bow, and call it Cloverfield.
Now wasn't that a fun use of imagination?!
Yeah, I know...Santa Rosa.
Well, until I detail this episode I figured we needed a fun start to the weekend.
All funning aside... This "Island" and its "inhabitants" must go back through the centuries, with root's that go very, very deep. Just like the ancients, they too need to defend their land.
A scripted lie, if told over enough, will be believed. Maybe we're the one's being lied to.

THIS IS NOT MY USUAL DETAILED EPISODE POST. I WILL DETAIL THIS EPISODE IN ORDER OF ALL EPISODES.
I have NOT re-watched The Economist to detail this episode yet. These are a few things that stuck out to me; things we need to think about. I'll build upon them with my upcoming research.
The Economist is a GREAT episode! WOW! I think by now it's pretty obvious that a number of clues I've bold typed for us since the beginning are indeed constantly brought up.
I was thrilled to see hints to the "Powers that be", persons with power and endless money and resources always have a hand in everything we see. What great secrets are being kept by these powerful people?
'Ben' obviously can travel "to" and "from" that "island" whenever he wants. He wears many masks and could he have different identities too.
Sayid claims to be one of the Oceanic 6. His role happens to be an extension of torturer as he is now a hit man. Yet the word diplomat is associated with him. I find that very important and interesting.
Now that we see that "Ben" can come and go, how does that affect what everyone else's "realities" are? Hmmm?!
Sayid being one who discovers this secret in Ben's closet!
Things to note…Questions to ask...
* I've asked this before, I'll ask it again…How old is 'Ben?' How old is everyone else?
* Finally, acknowledgment to time running different; here time runs slower. Wow, imagine that.
* Desmond gets on the copter even though he knows it's not Penny's boat. WTF?!!!!
* Jack doesn't go on the copter. He feels he's the only one who can rescue the Losties, so why not follow through on the rescue?
* Frank says Sayid "cheated." {He traded Miles for Charlotte}
* Frank bleeds Yankee blue. Tie to New York, The Bronx. Rose is from the Bronx.
* Sayid closes Naomi's and Elsa's eyes.
* Told NOT to talk to Minkowski.
* Regina translates to Queen in Italian.
* Game room.
* Locke makes tea for Sayid. Mikhail brought Sayid and Kate tea in another episode.
* Hurley says 'Oh great. The ship sent us another Sawyer.' {WoooHooo!}
* Elsa wears a similar silver bracelet.
* Daniel's clock on island 2:24:03…The freighter timer 3:16:23.
* Chicken
* Languages.
* Zoned out.
* Mirrors. Broken Mirrors.
* Naomi's dead body. Come on!
* Recruitment. Recruiting.
* Masks. I.D. Passports.
* We've seen that Red Cross symbol before.
* Pager. Beeper
* Old fashioned….How old?
* Numbers
* Colors- Red. Black/Dark. White/Light.
* Sawyer talks about Ben….'shoot off his toe'…Statue clue?
* A German guy is mentioned in an early episode involving the tail section. Germany.
* Note Ben's Passports and Money/pound notes.
* A bigger war!
* Vet. Dogs. Vincent.
* HURLEY.
* Where does the cabin go?
* Kate and Sawyer play house…For how long?
* 'Ben' is still in control of things, but who's 'Ben's' boss?
* Cold. Ice. Chill. Are these clues to the listening station? Or a symbol of the cold hearted side of a person? Or a clue to the 'island' itself?!!
* Ship? Think about it.
* What are the initials on the bracelet?
* "I have work to do."
* Are there people who look identical, but are different?
* Are they really ever out of the "force field/confines" of the "island"? {I think not}
* What is real...what is NOT?
Vocabulary and Research...
* Sir Roy George Douglas Allen, (1906-1983-) was an English economist, mathematician and statistician.
* Hermann Minkowski (June 22,1864– January 12, 1909) was a Lithuanian-born German mathematician. In geometry, the Minkowski sum, also known as dilation, of 2 sets A and B in Euclidean space is the result of adding every element of A to every element of B, i.e. the set. In physics and mathematics, Minkowski space (or Minkowski space time) is the mathematical setting in which Einstein's theory of special relativity is most conveniently formulated. In this setting the 3 ordinary dimensions of space are combined with a single dimension of time to form a 4-dimensional mannifold for representing a space time.
-Oskar Minkowski (January 13, 1858-July 18, 1931) Sanatorium Fürstenburg an der Havel, Mecklenburg-Strelitz, Germany was a famous scientist of German, Jewish and Polish descent.
-Rudolph Minkowski (May 28,1895-January 4, 1976) was a German-American astronomer. His father was the physiologist Oskar Minkowski Hermann Minkowski.
* Espionage is usually part of an institutional effort (i.e., governmental or corporate espionage), and the term is most readily associated with state spying on potential or actual enemies, primarily for military purposes, but this has been extended to spying involving corporations, known specifically as industrial espionage.
The reason I use the word espionage is because Frank asks if Sayid is a diplomat….Diplomatic immunity?!
-Another word for espionage or words associated with it…intelligence, reconnaissance, secret service, shadowing, tailing, undercover operations, undercover work, underground activities, agent, beagle, detective, double agent, emissary, espionage agent, foreign agent, informer, inside man,intelligencer, investigator, lookout, mole, narc, observer, operative, patrol, picket, plant, scout, secret agent, sleeper, sleuth, snoop, spook, spotter, undercover agent, watcher. ALL OF THOSE FIT OUR STORY!
* A pager (beeper) is a simple personal telecommunications device for short messages. A one-way numeric pager can only receive a message consisting of a few digits. Paging was invented by Multitone Electronics in 1956 at St. Thomas' Hospital in London to alert doctors attending emergencies. In the world of paging there are 2 distinct categories of system in operation. There are on-site paging systems that are used in hospitals to convey the same urgent information. The other type is wide area paging, which offers similar features as on-site paging, but provides the radio coverage across a city, region or country rather than in just one hospital building. Pagers are still in use today in places where mobile phones typically cannot reach users, and also in places where the operation of the radio transmitters contained in mobile phones is problematic or prohibited. One such type of location is a large hospital complex. Pagers also have privacy advantages. Since a one-way pager is a passive receiver only (it sends no information back to the base station), its location cannot be tracked.
* An economist is an expert in the social science of economics. The individual may also study, develop, and apply theories and concepts from economics and write about economic policy. Within this field there are many sub-fields, ranging from the broad philosophical theories to the focused study of minutiae within specific markets, macroeconomic analysis, or financial analysis, involving analytical methods and tools such as econometrics, statistics, economics computational models, financial economics, financial mathematics and mathematical economics.
* Michael Faraday, (Sept 22, 1791– Aug 25, 1867) was an English chemmist and physicist (or natural philosopher, in the terminology of that time) who contributed to the fields of electromagnetism and electrochemistry.
* In electromagnetism, Maxwell's equations are a set of 4 equations that were first presented as a distinct group in 1884 by Oliver Heaveyside in conjunction with Willard Gibbs. These equations had appeared throughout James Clerk Maxwell's 1861 paper entitled On Physical Lines of Force. Those equations describe the interrelationship between electric field, magnetic field, electric charge and electric current. Although Maxwell himself was the originator of only one of these equations (by virtue of modifying an already existing equation), he derived them all again independently in conjunction with his molecular vortex model of Faraday's "lines of force".
* An electromagnet in its simplest form, is a wire that has been coiled into one or more loops, known as a solenoid. When electric current flows through the wire, a magnetic field is generated. It is concentrated near (and especially inside) the coil, and its field lines are very similar to those for a magnet. The orientation of this effective magnet is determined via the right hand rule. The magnetic moment and the magnetic field of the electromagnet are proportional to the number of loops of wire, to the cross-section of each loop, and to the current passing through the wire. If the coil of wire is wrapped around a material with no special magnetic properties (i.e., cardboard), it will tend to generate a very weak field. However, if it is wrapped around a "soft" ferromagnetic material, such as an iron nail, then the net field produced can result in a several hundred- to thousand fold increase of field strength.
* Permanent magnets occur naturally in some rocks. I.e.. Lodestone.
- You can use magnets in magic.
* Tea. Tea leaf can be used in fortune telling.
* Crystal ball/sphere can be used in fortune telling or is a symbol of divine light, celestial powers.
* Dog. In Greek mythology Cerberus, 3 headed dog, guarded gates of the realm of the dead and acted as a spirit guide. Dogs are also a symbol of faithfulness and protectiveness, of blind love and obedience.
* Silver is a symbol and link to the moon. It's bright but it tarnishes. Symbolizing the corruptible side of human nature, which needs cleaning.
Can I share something with you? Let me tell you what pissed me off….Daniel radio's the 'boat'…there is NO DELAY in communications with the boat, yet there is a delay in the payload arriving. Anyone care to explain that!? Don't tell me it's a plot hole.
They show us an episode with Hurley and Sayid listening to "In the mood" on the radio and Sayid comments it could be coming from any place. Hurley comments it could be coming from any time. So, how come radio waves delay isn't the case here?!!
Are we starting to see things pan out from clues I've highlighted and talked about? Yep, and it's all so damn exciting!!
We're still seeing things/people completely tied to the "island" and that magnet keeps pulling them back!
Past, Present and Future…..
They all are connected! Always have been...Always will be!

* Cold. Ice. Chill. Are these clues to the listening station? Or a symbol of the cold hearted side of a person? Or a clue to the 'island' itself?!!
* Ship? Think about it.
* What are the initials on the bracelet?
* "I have work to do."
* Are there people who look identical, but are different?
* Are they really ever out of the "force field/confines" of the "island"? {I think not}

Disclaimer: I never claim to know everything about the show and my thoughts by no means make me right! The things I share here are my views and/or opinions. I don't claim to catch every single detail either! You all know I hate spoilers and I stand clear of reading certain sites as to not take me off my own course of research. The one thing I don't need to do here is rehash all of the obvious clues from an episode, we all know what they are. Understood? Good! Let the fun begin! I'll only note things that I know come up as clues later, but need to be noted when they first show up and things I find that will be of importance. It will get very exciting as we progress into the story.
Santa Rosa's Calling Me!
*Please Note: This entry was posted over at MySpace on Feb, 9, 2008 (I'm just moving it over here.)
We all LOVED the past two weeks of LOST. Some fans were confused by what they saw. The writers love throwing us curve balls. Boy do I love those writers! It makes it so exciting to try to figure things out.
Of course my only purpose in life may be to write these little LOST notes and that's cool with me because I enjoy it very much. I hope these notes have enlightened a few fans, not only to my LOSTNESS, but also to many subliminal clues the show gives us. Big fun for all!
The past two weeks of episodes were so amazing! We all can't stop talking about them. We are blown away by the new things we're seeing.
I received wonderful messages from viewers asking great questions about what we saw. Keep those questions and comments coming. They keep me on my toes.
We've talked about the many layers of the show, and there are many! We do indeed talk about all kinds of possibilities and explanations for what we see. I can't tell you how much I have learned on all the subjects regarding all the layers of the show. No matter where the show leads us, whether I'm right or wrong on clues, etc.,
I still feel a few of things that I've hinted and outright said to you all through these notes about people not being "who/what" we think they are and, things not being what they seem, are on the mark.
The other big thing I keep going on and on about is my take on, not only the "Flashes" but also events on the "Island" not being linear and are blurred together. I believe we may even be seeing a different "run through" on the "Island".
Am I telling you that means everything we see is out of order? NO! Just be careful on assuming certain 'time issues.'
I'm sure you're reading this and asking yourself "Why is crazy Karen telling us this again?"
Why did I feel I needed to reiterate these couple of points here today? Because it is important for all to remember the liner/time order issue and the blurring of events.
This includes what we saw over the past two weeks.
Please don't assume all things we saw were Flash Forward. I feel that some things we see are from the past, things we see are happening in the PRESENT, and some things are from the future. Actually all of those levels feel blended together. You have to go back and think about what we saw and review things in your mind's eye {Or your TIVO!} and ask yourself if any of those things can be from past, present or are future events. Keep in mind, "Go Back."
They are in the middle of a WAR. The "Island" and the "Island's" many secrets are at stake.
There are very powerful people involved in everything that's going on.
Remember, things are not what they seem!

Connect Four
PLEASE NOTE the following notes were posted on MySpace Feb 8, 2008.
Let's talk about LOST! Connect Four.
THIS IS NOT MY USUAL DETAILED EPISODE POST. I WILL DETAIL THIS EPISODE IN ORDER OF ALL EPISODES.
I have not re-watched to detail this episode yet. These are a few things that stuck out to me and things we need to think about. I'll build upon them with my upcoming research.
Here are just some quick thoughts on 4-2 Confirmed Dead.
I'm excited that clues I've pointed out in this little blog have begun to show their points. A few are plates, under, underwater, faked, etc… I'm sure the clues will continue on with the rest of our story!
* The discovery of an Oceanic plane deep underwater in the Sunda Trench off Bali.
* There are dead bodies on board this crashed/sunken plane.
* This wreck is claimed to be Oceanic flight 815.
* Two ROV's were sent down under the water while on a quest to find the Black Rock.
* The boat this little crew sailed on is called The Christian 1. This information was witnessed in this episode, but was also learned the last day of the ARG Find815.
* The 888-548-0034 number was given out during the game as well.
In this episode, we're introduced to 4 people:
Daniel: He has a very peculiar personality and I noticed a bit of odd behavior.
In one of the ARG's, 'The LOST Experience', we learned about savants being used for certain study and contributions to working study/projects. I can't help but wonder if it's with Daniel that we start getting that information/connection. Maybe he was able to figure something out. Of course I'm not sure. We'll just have to take this info and see how it plays out.
I note that when Daniel is on the SAT phone, whomever he's talking to doesn't want to be on speaker phone. Let the secrets continue!
Miles: Doesn't want anyone to know his last name. WOW! Why? Who is he related to? He "can" 'communicate' with the dead and he charges a customer $200 for his services. By the way the room he worked in had imagery connecting to the "Island".
Charlotte: She is in Tunisia for a dig that reveals Dharma Polar Bear and its collar. She's not surprised! She apparently has to read the same headline in many different languages. The psychic's daughter in Australia had a daughter named Charlotte too.
C.S. Lewis connection…I guess we're in Narnia! lol
Frank Lapidus: An Oceanic airline pilot turned beach bum? WTF? He says he was supposed to pilot that flight. He also says the image on the TV of the 'dead' pilot isn't Seth Norris. His clue-no wedding ring. I did note on top of his old TV he has a replica helicopter, 2004 map and Activities brochure, dolphin cruise. Frank says he studied the manifest.
I noted in another blog post that in the EXPOSE script, the cast list showed a Rick Lapidus. So Frank does indeed have a connection to everything!
Naomi: Has a meeting with Abaddon in a vacant office space. He has files and pictures of the 4 recruits. Naomi is troubled that these 4 hold no qualifications to be involved in a high risk, covert operation in unstable territory. So, why would these 4 be recruited for such a 'job'? Because they have to be! Naomi comments about running into the survivors. Abaddon emphatically tells her there are no survivors! I guess if you repeat a lie over and over it will become believable!
Ben: Is he really a member of society in the "outside world"? Ben claims to have someone on her boat. So with Intel like that wouldn't Ben have known they were coming all along? Besides, who is this person he mentions? Why are they looking for Ben? Could Ben have a twin/replica? I'm just asking!!
The 4 new arrivals to the "Island" have a picture of what appears to be Ben, circa late 70's early 80's. But when Naomi arrived she had a picture of Desmond; That's who she said she was looking for.
Ben shoots Charlotte; who is wearing a bullet proof vest. Ben is wearing a vest in the picture they have of him. In EXPOSE Howard makes reference to bullet proof vest to Nikki.
Daniel comments on the "lighting" {Light scattering} being different on the "Island".
Juliet- a "native". Hehehe. Who else? Wink, wink!
Why do the 4 have gas masks? Another purge perhaps?
Vincent.
Locke comments that Ben shot him. The bullet went in one side and came out the other. If he had a kidney he'd be dead.
The helicopter people bail out due to the copter going down; Yet Frank lands it.
Mirrors.
Cow. Moo!
Waking up.
Things being faked. Tricks. Manipulated, etc.
The number on the helicopter N842M
We still have imagery "off Island" that connects to the "Island".
I LOVE a good Star Wars reference! Wooohooo!
If we use the 'Connect 4' metaphor, could it be about connecting these four new arrivals to the rest of the 'Islanders'; Or four more pawns in the chess game?
The whole finding the "Island" thing: Okay, the incident when the sky turns purple seems to be the turning point for many things. If the "Island" and surrounding area is hidden by a 'dome effect' covering of magnetic energy, the incident disrupted the 'covering effect' long enough for the "Island" to be detected. But if the "Island" is covered by this magnetic field, maybe that's the exact reason 'time' is an issue there. Couldn't that magnetic power/properties cause 'time' to just run very, very slow there or is it time is totally irrelevant there, except for a countdown timer?
So there's Locke asking Ben questions…about the Smoke Monster. HA!!!
Two very, very important things to note here is -To see how things have shifted on the "Island". Ben's people are gone and are most likely at the temple. But Jack has his people in hiding, armed, ready to defend! Also, Ben now knows that Hurley as well as Locke can see Jacob/cabin! HOLY SHIT!
Well Losties, without me digging deep and detailing yet, I hope I gave you enough clues and info to get started.
I've said all along, people aren't who we think they are. A few in more way than one! Things are not what they seem.
