Let's talk about LOST!      The Last Recruit.

Feels like old times.
Locke is pleased to see Jack and suggests they "catch up".    Jack asks Hurley's permission to talk to Locke alone, after all this was Hurley's idea.
Hurley only replies with three simple, important and telling words..."It's all you."
Jack and John have a little pow wow that is quite casual.  Of course this is the first time Jack is seeing Locke since he put the black shoes on him at the butcher shop, he states, "You look just like him."  This doesn't bother Jack, but what does bother him is that he "doesn't have any idea what the hell you are."
Locke simply answers matter of fact, "Sure you do."
Curious armed Jack inquires, "Why John Locke?"
Locke-"Because he was stupid enough to believe that he'd been brought here for a reason. Because he pursued that belief until it got him killed. And because you were kind enough to bring his body back here in a nice wooden box."    {So Eloise Hawking knew John Locke's "dead" body had to be brought back to the Island so it could be "used".   Maybe Eloise is the constant.}
Jack-"He had to be dead before you could look like him."
Locke-"That's right."
Jack kind of just nods his head in an "Okay, I'll take that answer for now" sort of gesture.  Jack also asks "Who else have you looked like?"
Locke knows there is an underlying question Jack needs to confront. Jack shares on the third day they were there he saw..."I chased my father through the jungle, my...my dead father. {Watch how Locke looks at Jack} Was that you?"
Locke-"Yes. That was me."
This bothers Jack and he asks why.
Locke shares Jack needed to find water. {Jack nods} This may be hard for you to believe, Jack, but all I've ever been interested in...is helping you."
Jack-"Helping me to do what?"
Locke-"Leave. But because Jacob chose you, you were trapped on this Island, before you even got here. Now Jacob's dead.... we don't have to be trapped anymore we can get on an airplane and fly away anytime we want to."
Jack wonders why if they can just fly away whenever they want "Why are you still here?"
Locke-"Because it has to be all of us."      Locke can see Jack "thinking".
Jack-"John Locke was the only one of us that ever believed in this place. He did everything he could to keep us from leaving this place."
Locke-"John Locke was not a believer, Jack. He was a sucker."   {Kelvin used this type of phrase in Live Together, Die Alone part 2.}

{I call fucking shenanigans on Locke being a sucker!   The John Locke we saw arrive on the "Island" and could "walk" was indeed the only man who believed they were brought there for a reason, a purpose.  He was the one who felt his destiny was connected to the "Island".    I feel Locke "is" Locke.  We're seeing bits about Locke in the "sideways" and the reason we must be IS because we're seeing Locke.   You have to go back to season 1 and just look at this side of Locke that is present there and throughout...It's the same man we see now.   Now, is it always "this Locke"?   I have noted throughout my notes over the years that I have felt at times we've seen  two Locke's: One that is sure footed and "in the know", even nurturing, and another who bumbles to find his way.
In White Rabbit John Locke told the beach camp he knew where to find water.   He also saves Jack from his tumble over the cliff and chats with him about being an ordinary man and about Jack chasing his "White Rabbit".    Also important to note is Jack mentions after Joanna's death "We’ve been here 6 days..." {Christian was first seen in Walkabout but I think even that was supposed to be day 4 or 5}
I'll never ignore the fact that Locke looked into the eye of the Island and what he saw was beautiful.  That episode showed us Jack having to go to Australia and bring back his father. Another important point in White Rabbit is that episode does not always have a "Flash Whoosh".  The "on Island" and "off Island" events literally BLUR TOGETHER!
Again I'll mention that Jack, John and the gang are and were "trapped" there...even before they got there.  Events must be occurring in a bloody snow globe; a confined environment."}

Locke is riding in the ambulance with Ben along for the ride. The EMT's are evaluating: his dropping BP, possible internal bleeding, any signs of neurological damage, no response in lower reflexes.
Ben answers that's because he's paraplegic and a substitute teacher at his school. He knows this man but doesn't know his first name; reveals he uses a wheelchair, "Where is it?"
The EMT claims the smashed wheelchair, "That thing, probably saved his life."
Ben saw the man that did this; the hit and run driver, "He was at our school".
EMT Simon Holt tells Ben he can talk to the cops when they get to the hospital and asks if he knows anyone they can they contact for him. {Simon checks Locke's pupils by using his pen light.}
Like Ben said, he barely knows him. {Uh, but you just said you know him.} 
Locke manages to tell them to contact Helen Norwood. "I was gonna marry her."
Ben claims, "Well, you're still gonna marry her cause he's gonna be okay, Mr. Locke."
Locke-"My name is John."

Blunt force trauma victim late 40's, needs a CT Scan.
One gunshot wound, wound, female, entry wound upper right quadrant, 500cc, external blood loss. They understand she's pregnant.
Side by side in this perfectly orchestrated dance,  Locke and Sun are being wheeled into the ER.
Sun is amazed and seems to recognize the man riding next to her. "It's him!"
{Air plane engine/sounds-rumble}

Locke walks with Jack through the dark jungle until he dramatically stops and waits.
Jack asks, "What is it?"
Locke tells whoever can't be seen to come out. It's armed Claire.
Locke asks her, "Are you following us Claire."   Just watch how these two work it.
Indeed she is following him because Jack's her brother.   Locke excuses himself as it looks like "you two have a lot of catching up to do", and leaves them to it.
Jack-"Claire, I'm so sorry I...."
But Claire cuts him off asking Jack, "Did he tell you? That he was the one pretending to be or father."  She seems amused and goes on to say how she gave up hope on Jack ever coming back but now that he's here, it's good to see him. Jack feels it's good to see her too.
Claire never had much in the way of family so it really means a lot that he's going with them.  Actually Jack hasn't decided he going with her/them.
Claire smiles and states, "Yeah ya have. You decided the moment you let him talk to you. Just like the rest of us. So you know, whether you like it or not...You're with him now."    {Claire seems to physically touch Jack.}
{What is with Claire?   Is she in on Locke's game plan?}

Now it's daylight!
Sawyer is whispering to Hugo about the sub that Widmore has; they'll use it to get off this rock.   Kate is filling Sun in on the plan because Sawyer thought it was good to avoid huddles.  Hurley asks about Sayid.
Sawyer informs him Sayid ain't invited because he went over to the dark side.
Confident Hugo feels, "Yeah, but you can always bring people back from the dark side."   He means Anakin.  {Sawyer doesn't know who Anakin is and this just blows my mind.  Sawyer never knows who anyone is!}
Anyway, he wants Hurley to keep his mouth shut.  Happy Claire walks over to the guys.  Hurley tells her she looks great.  They hug.  Sawyer sees that Locke has returned with Jack.
Locke looks at his group and smiles, "It's so nice to have everyone back together again."
{Air plane engine/sounds-rumble}

Jim offers Kate an apple while she is cuffed at his desk. {My first thought...an Adam and Eve hint laced within this episode.  Maybe Kate and Sawyer are just bad apples.}
They are both wearing Black jackets and the office is filled with file boxes and a hanging trench coat.

Jim asks LaShade to give them a minute.  {As in Expose}  He reads over her file of charges which cocky Kate denies.  
Kate-"Is there something you wanted?"
Yeah, Jim wants to know if she remembers him from the airport; same flight from Sydney.  Kate remembers.
Jim-"Well, don't you think it's weird? You and me being on the same flight having that little meet up in the elevator? And a week later...boom, of all the cars in Los Angeles you smash into mine. Almost like someone's trying to put us together."
Kate wonders if he's hitting on her. That would never work because he's a cop and she's a murderer.  Kate insists she's  not a murderer.
Jim-"Well, I'm still a cop."
Kate asks why didn't he arrest her in LA  X, the elevator, he saw she was handcuffed.  Jim  playfully tells her he didn't see any cuffs, he only saw a pretty lady who needed the door held open.   Kate thinks he let her go because he went to Australia and he didn't want anyone else to know, "Should I tell that to the Fed's when they get here?" {Now, why the fuck would she say something like that?!}  Jim likes her.
Miles tells Jim he's got a live one.
Jim tells Kate-"Sorry, Duty calls."    Kate puts on her gray baseball cap.
Miles informs Jim they caught a multiple homicide at a restaurant. Victims were a lowlife named Keamy and three goons on his payroll. A Korean female GSW at the scene  and her boyfriend witnessed it; he doesn't speak English. An ATM video surveillance camera caught a Jabonie fleeing the scene. It's Sayid.
Jim tells him to put a name to that face...That's our bad guy.

Sayid sits contemplating a Mango.  Jack sits alone in thought looking at Sayid.  Kate walks over to Jack and mentions "He's different now."   Jack guesses they're all different now.  Jack shares that Locke wants to leave and they all have to go together.  {Locke walks with his big stick.}  Jack's not sure if he believes him yet.
All of a sudden guns are cocked because  Zoe, Widmore's number 2 strolls into camp asking for the man in charge.   Locke happily steps forward asks what he can do for her.
Zoe-"You took something from us and we want it back."   {I felt like she was a little kid on a damn playground wanting her ball back!}
Locke is sorry but he doesn't know what she's talking about. 
Locke allows Zoe to radio her peeps. She's inquiring if they've got a fix on her position {Roger that}; show them what we're capable of.
They send a missile over and Locke doesn't even flinch!  Zoe warns Locke he has until nightfall to return what he took or next time "We won't miss".    She tosses the walki talki to Locke and instructs him to call her when he's ready for them to "pick him up".
Locke drops the walki talki on the ground an smashes it with his big stick.
Locke-"Well...Here we go."
{I'm totally sick of seeing Zoe, a geophysicist  in charge of military messaging and maneuvers. She must have the bigger set of balls than the rest of the men in Widmore's employ.}

Pregnant Claire walks up to the counter; to go to the Western Pacific Adoption Agency and signs in  to head up to the 15th floor.   Desmond Hume appears! He reminds her they met at the airport baggage claim.   Nosey Des signs in, looks at the list to verify Claire's name and destination. Claire shares she had a bit of a scare and ended up in the hospital, but all's good now. She also tells Desmond he was right, "It's a boy".
He has a nose for those thing. {Like a dog! Hey! WTF is Vincent?!} 

They ride the escalator together to the second floor where they get on an elevator.
Desmond "notices" she's going to the adoption agency alone and feels she should have some legal representation. He's not a lawyer but it just so happens he's on his way to see one.
Des-"You know adoption contracts are complicated. And you should be careful because you could find yourself in a situation that's irreversible"
Claire doesn't have money for a lawyer. 
In the elevator-
Coincidentally Sexy Desmond is going to see this excellent attorney who happens to owe him a favor.  He promises it won't cost Claire a cent.
Claire abandons her appointment with the adoption agency to go with pushy Desmond and to meet his attorney friend who coincidently is also on the 15th floor.  Miss Ilana Verdansky is "coincidentally" Desmond's friend who owes him a favor, as well as coincidentally the lawyer who represents Christian Shephard with the reading and execution of his will.  Mind you, Desmond and Ilana hug and kiss hello. {Note white orchid}

Ilana appears stunned as she, without an accent, confirms this is Claire Littleton from Australia.  Claire doesn't know her but it's quite a coincidence.  "We've been looking for you."
Desmond's mission seems to be accomplished.
{Air plane engine/sounds-rumble}

Locke has his flock gather around. Hurley tells Claire that "People are trying to kill us again".
Locke reveals that all of this is happening a bit sooner than he expected "But these people have forced our hand. Claiming we stole something from them. Trying to provoke us into a confrontation...Well, that's what they want, that's what they'll get.  Gather your things, we're going to the other Island and we're getting on that plane."
He needs James' help. He gives him a primitive map instructing him to go and get the boat that's a few hours away, and meet back at the other side of  these bluffs. They'll all sail over to the other Island, together.  James wonders why they're not all going together now.  Locke feels the bigger the group, the slower it moves.

James takes Freckles along for the boat mission as she's knows enough about sailing.  Locke is pleased.
Jack has been observing.   Locke has a private chat with Sayid and James asks Jack for a hand.
James tells Jack to listen up 'cause he's only gonna say this once..."We're not going to that rendezvous point to pick up Locke.  I got a deal with Widmore."    He instructs Jack to double back, hoof it to the old doc and grab Hugo, Sun and Lapidus.
He's not to bring Sayid because he's a zombie and Claire's nuts; she gave up her ticket when she tried to kill Kate and James' not gonna let that happen again.
James-"That's Hugo, Sun and the pilot, only them, understand?"
He also tells Jack he'll have to figure out a way to get away from Locke.   Jack watches Kate leave with James.
Locke needs Sayid to go out to where he's got Desmond. {The place where he didn't see Locke bring him.}   Locke isn't going to give him back, he's having Sayid kill him.   Locke holds "Sayid's desire"  deal over his head.  "What you asked me for....Then go do what I said."

Armed with a handgun, Sayid looks down into well at Desmond.
Desmond speaks first, "What did he offer ya?"    Des feels he has a right to know.
Sayid-"He told me I could get something back that I lost."  Explaining he lost the woman he loved; she's dead.
Des-"And what makes you think Locke can bring her back?"
Sayid-"I died and he brought me back."  {WTF?? Locke brought him back!? How? When??}
Desmond  seems sincere and asks Sayid what will he tell this woman; what he did to be with her.
{Hmmm...you can be with "dead people".}

{Air plane engine/sounds-rumble}
Sayid enters, packs and informs Nadia that everything will be okay for her now.  He took care of it. He's leaving and he won't be able to come back.
Sayid tells Nadia to stall the LAPD at the door.   Before opening the door Nadia asks to see some identification. While Detective Miles enters the front door Sawyer snags Sayid at the back door by using a garden hose to trip him.   Jim arrests bad guy Sayid Jarrah.

Ready to get wet pirate Sawyer and Kate will swim over to the boat Desmond used to get to the "Island" that  he was gifted from Libby, which belonged to her dead husband "David". 
Sawyer reveals they're not seeing through the terrible idea of going back for Locke.  They're going to ditch Locke and Claire.  He tells Kate the Claire she came back for is gone.   Kate is upset because she promised she would bring her back.   Sawyer feels that was before Claire started drinking Locke's Kool aide; she's dangerous and she shouldn't want her around Aaron.  They walk into the water.

Locke leads his group.
Claire reveals to Jack she's been with Locke ever since he left.  Jack asks if she trusts him and yes she does. It's because he's the only one who didn't abandon her.
Locke falls back to ask Sun if she's seen Sayid. He was supposed to catch up with them about a half a mile back.    Locke thinks Sun is giving him the silent treatment when she doesn't reply.   Sun writes on her notepad "You did this to me!"
Locke-"I'm sorry Sun, but I didn't do anything to you."
Locke will catch up with the group at the beach. He's going to make sure nobody got left behind.

Claire observes Sawyer's off shoot group separate from Locke's group and she looks pissed. {Apparently they abandoned her again.}

Armed Sayid walks through the jungle alone and constantly looking up.
Locke asks Sayid {Black shirt} where he's been and what took him so long.
Sayid-"I just shot an unarmed man, I needed a moment." {OK, is he talking about shooting unarmed Keamy?}
Locke-"Did you kill him, Sayid?"
Sayid smirks-"Of course I did. Go and check if you'd like."
Locke looks in his eyes and decides to move on, they've got a boat to catch.  {Does Locke really buy that a trained solider and torturer did not fulfill his mission to eliminate the man in the well or doesn't it not even matter? Did Desmond talk Sayid into making a choice?}

Jack looks at the simple map. Frank the pilot hopes Jack knows where he's going because that smoke thing runs a lot faster than they do.  {Runs?! Like people run.}
Jack-"Sawyer said there'd be a doc around here somewhere."   {You're a Doc.}
Hugo sees them.
Sawyer hurries everyone on board.   Frank wonders if they're sailing home on this.
Sawyer informs them it won't work, not without a bearing. "For three years the only way Dharma folk ever got on or off this Island was by sub, and that's what we're doing."     He tells the Doc he did a nice job.
Uh oh, armed Claire shows up, "Where are you going?"
Kate tries to reason with Claire about leaving the Island, going with them and that thing not being Locke. "Whoever he is...He's not one of us."    {Is "he" Jack?!}
Kate-"Claire. Come with us. I can get you back to Aaron." This goes against Sawyer's plan but Kate tells him to shut up. "She's coming or I'm not! Come with us Claire."
Claire feels John promised her...
Kate cuts her off, "I'm promising you. I was there when he was born. And I never should have raised him. It should have been you. I came back to get you so you can be with him again. It's the only reason I came back to the Island, Claire. So please come with us. Let's go home."
Both girls are teary eyed and Sawyer wants them on the boat before Locke gets there.
Kate takes the rifle from Claire. Claire shares that when he finds out that we're gone, he's gonna be mad.

Jack and "David" arrive at the same building that Desmond, Claire and Ilana are in.   {Come on! How much is David an extension of Jack!?!}
David's mom calls and Jack will have him home as soon as he can, maybe 5:00.  David gives the ol "No" signal.    Jack tells the mother that they'll grab a bite to eat so it'll be more like 7.  That's cool with all; Jack will drop him off.  {Jack signs in but David doesn't; unless Jack signed in for him.}
Jack tells David that hearing grandfather's will being read isn't the most fun and it'll be over soon. "I promise. And it's... It's okay to be sad."
David is sad for Jack. Jack seems to like David's compassion.
The two Shephard's arrive at Ilana office, where she informs them they're set up in the conference room, and guess what...She's got a surprise for them, "Do you believe in fate?"   Both men give each other the "What's up"/who knows look.  Ilana presents Claire Littleton to them. Watch Claire when they enter.   Ilana reveals they didn't find her,  "She found us."
Jack-"You were in my father's will. Do you mind if I ask you how you knew him?"
Claire-"He was my father too."

Jack lets that register in his brain for a few seconds. The service calls the Doc about an emergency at the hospital.  Although Jack mentions this isn't a good time, he tells the service to "prep him", he's 20 minutes away. They'll have to reschedule the will reading.

Jack sits alone on the boat looking out at the ocean.

Frank, who is a little late to the party, asks Sawyer what his game plan is.
Captain Sawyer reveals the plan to "Chesty", is to land on Hydra Island, get them nice and cuddly with Widmore, get a chance to jump on that sub. Then he's gonna put a gun in someone's face and make em take them home.
Frank saw some canned food down in the galley, anyone else starving.
Sawyer has Freckles take the wheel a minute while he goes over to chat with the Doc. Kate warns him to be nice.
Sawyer didn't think Jack would show up, "Taking orders ain't your strong suit. Nice to see you finally came around."
Leaving the Island doesn't feel right to Jack. It's because he remembers how he felt the last time he left, "Like a part of me was missing."
Sawyer informs the Doc they have pills for that.
Jack feels they were brought there because they're supposed to do something. "And if Locke, if that...that thing wants us to leave...maybe it's afraid of what happens if we stay."
Angry Sawyer demands Jack get off his damn boat, "You got a decision to make and you make it now. Either you're with us, you keep that damn crazy talk to yourself or you're going in the water."
Jack-"James, this is a mistake. And I know there's a part of you that feels that. The Island is not done with us yet."
Sawyer is done with this Island and gives Jack permission to take a "Leap of Faith".  Jack apologizes for getting Juliet killed and he jumps overboard; backpack and all.
Sawyer tells upset Kate that Jack changed his mind and of course Kate wants to go back for him. Unfortunately Sawyer is done going back.

Shot of monitors for Station 1.  Sleeping Sun wakes up and looks over at sleeping Jin. She wakes him.
Jin informs her she was shot but that she and the baby is fine. "It's over, and we're all going to be okay." Sun cries.
The camera literally pans from the Kwon love birds, backs out the door into the hallway to oncoming Jack and David as Jack makes his way into surgery.
David inquires about Jack not knowing that all these years his dad had another kid. David can't believe grandfather never mentioned it.
Jack reveals "He kept a lot of things to himself."
David-"Is that where you get it from?"
Jack laughs in amusement, "Yeah. Probably."
He asks David, "You gonna be OK hanging while I do this."
David will be and he also wishes his dad "Good luck."

Jack checks out the MRI/Scan/X-rays and sees the obliterated Dural Sac. The kicker is the patient has a pre-existing spinal condition. This is why the medical team called Jack in...because they're in over their heads.
Confident Jack "got this".
Inside the OR Jack looks down at the sleeping patient, sees his own reflection, then sees the patient's reflection....
The Other Doctor asks "What is it?"

Jack realizes, "I think I know this guy".    He looks confused but recognizes the man in the mirror. {It's important to note we get Jack's reflection first and then Locke's reflection. I'll say the words again...Jack recognizes the man in the mirror. Perhaps Jack finally sees himself.}

Exhausted Jack arrives back on the beach and is met by Locke. "Nice day for a swim."
Jack confirms that Sawyer took Locke's boat.

Sawyer's wet group arrives at Hydra Island and is greeted by geophysicist Zoe and Widmore's men. It's alright she knows him. When Zoe asks who else is with him {like she doesn't know}, he says "Nobody. If you're wondering where Locke is, he's still back on the main Island."
She has the fence turned off and radios that Ford showed up on a boat with five of his friends.

Jin and Sun are reunited!! Yay!!
They speak English! Sun never stopped looking for him. The Castaways seem happy with their reunion, all except for Sawyer, who uneasy.
Frank- "Looks like someone got their voice back."

Jin promises they'll never be apart again.
Zoe orders the group to their knees. Orders come in from Widmore that the deal is off.  The Widmore army has a site-line on Locke and they fire when ready.
Hearing in the incoming missiles, Jack orders everyone to get down.  Everyone runs except for Locke who stands his ground.
Jack's hearing is muffled and ringing.
Super Locke carries Jack. {Like when he carried Boone in Deus Ex Machina}
While missiles fly overhead Locke tells disoriented Jack it's going to be OK, "You're with me now."

The Last Recruit is a GREAT episode!
Nothing is irreversible and “Nothing is permanent.”
"You can always bring people back from the dark side."    But whom are we bringing back from the dark side?
Is this all about Jack and his journey alone?  There are a few times we get a hint to Jack and "It's all you".
Is it about Locke's journey?  Jack and John again seem as if they are two halves of a whole in some aspects.
Is it about Christian, Hurley or Walt for that matter?

The battle to put this game to a possible end is here!

I get a lot of shit about my thoughts on the game element, the living breathing chess game, using video game analogy to descriptively explain some similarities, and things happening in the head/mind/consciousness.   I've been very clear about not being sure which events are happening in the head/mind/consciousness but nonetheless something is happening in the head, but whose head? Is it one person or all of them?
Mental Health is another area I've kept close at hand.  Is it one person with potential schizophrenia or a couple of the castaways?   If we are dealing with schizophrenia, split/multiple personality/dissociative identity disorder, is part of the therapy to eliminate the negative parts of your past and yourself? Again, enlightenment is paramount.
Many of the issues we see can be linked back to Locke's story and his issues; Mental health, depression, schizophrenia, adoption, abandonment, disability, etc. 

At this point Locke is responsible for bringing parts of the family back together.  Who is the "family"?  He just reunited Jack and Claire and allowed Sun and Jin to be reunited.

Who is in whose body and/or masquerading as another?    The damn switching of dark and light sides and the constant breakdown of teams can be so confusing at times. 

On to the body of Christian: Where is Christian's body?  Christian's body is missing from the casket on the "Island" that was already inside the caves.   Yet Locke's "dead" body was returned to the "Island" as a proxy for Christian {Eloise was involved in this mission} and it is assumed MIB supposedly "mimicked" Locke's physical, mental and emotional being; while Locke's actual body was in the Ajira crate. 
Why would MIB need Locke's body, that was supposedly "off Island"?   Why didn't MIB use "Dead" Danielle, Karl, or anyone else' "on Island" body?  The excuse of  Locke being a "sucker" doesn't cut it.

We're kept in the loop about Christian over the years with the infamous "Flashes".
An important episode is Collision.
I must say I'm having some concern regarding MIB/Locke as Christian,  or at least being Christian every time.  On the other hand we have gotten connections to Locke, Smokey and Christian before, like in Dead is Dead.  Is Locke, Locke, and the MIB two different things?  Are MIB and "Jacob" independent of each other, two brothers or one in the same?   Is there more than one "smoke thing"?  Is it something they all have access to?

If MIB was Christian on the freighter then why not let Michael pull off his redemption mission and hitch a ride back to the "outside world"?    Plus why tell Michael he can go now and they both just end up back on the Island anyway.   Was that really Christian, "Jacob" or the "Island"?
If MIB was Christian, let's be reminded we see "Dead Christian" off "Island".   Now, if on "Island" and off "Island" events are not separate places that will work, but then we also have to bring "Jacob" into the smoky mix.

Who assumed the physical identity of Yemi while Locke was down in the pearl hatch. Who assumed the physical identity of  Ben's mother Emily, Harper, Isabella and Dave?   How do we know Michael's current image wasn't mimicked by Smokey.  We don't.

 Who is the image of the young boy/boys who is seen around present day Locke?   The blond and brunette young boy/boys were seen by Sawyer and Richard, the horse was actually seen by Kate and Sawyer and the spiders were seen by Nikki and Paulo.
If Walt isn't dead then where was his "on Island" images and backwards talking images coming from?   Not from a "smoke thing".
Can "Smokey" assume the image of the living as well?   All through my notes it is documented that there were times I felt our "living" castaways weren't always "them".   Can they take turns as the "smoke thing"?

* If whatever happened, happened and you can't re-write history then why would Ilana not have an accent?  I'll have to ask Ilana how to get rid of an accent.  Apparently in this whole "sideways drunkenness"  I need to question the existence of "Jacob" and/or Jacob's presence in these people's lives.   Are we seeing a life without "Jacob" or the "Island" influence?

Locke looking "just like him" doesn't bother Jack, but what does bother him is that he doesn't have any idea what the hell "you" are.   Locke simply answers matter of fact, "Sure you do."
What does this mean? Is John and Jack looking at reflections of themselves?  Are they two halves of a whole? Is Jack really looking at his father/Christian?   Deep down inside Jack may know what this "Island" experience is all about.
Is Jack aware that Locke is an alien?
Fuck it...since there's no such things as monsters bring on the hybrid alien already!

And finally I must revisit the most important piece of this MIB/Christian puzzle piece... Missing Pieces episode, So it Begins.  Here we see Christian call over Vincent in an effort to have the dog go into the bamboo forest and wake up his son.   But as I noted when we first got this clip, if you look closely you can see a very brief moment of black smoke flutter by.

I believe it's still safe to say...People and things are not what you think.

Through The Looking Glass. pt 1

Let's talk about LOST! Through the Looking Glass.

On board an Oceanic flight, Bearded Jack sits drunk with a drink in his right hand. He is visibly ragged and tired. The stewardess asks a passenger to put her seat back. Jack asks the stewardess for another drink but she cuts him off; they'll be landing in 20 minutes.
Jack feels "20 minutes is a long time."
She offers him a newspaper instead and tells him to buckle his seat belt. They hit turbulence and Jack's face lights up. Over the intercom the pilot apologizes for the bumps; says they hit warm air. They are preparing for their descent into L.A..
Something in the newspaper catches Jack's eye. It is an Obit that seems to upset Jack. He tears out the article.

Jack is driving at night; he pulls over on the right side of the 6th Street Bridge. He cries while reading the torn out article then he crumples it up. Jack tries to call someone on the cell phone but he leaves a message, "Hi it's me. I just read..." he hangs up. He appears zoned for a minute.

Jack decides to jump off the bridge. Standing on the ledge he looks down; there is concrete not water,
and says, "Forgive me."
As if on cue a car passing by crashes; flames!
You hear a young boy and a woman yell for help. Jack runs to her rescue.

Jack to the rescue at the beach.
Everyone's getting ready for the trek to the radio tower. Jack and Kate share a tender smile while she fills up water bottles. Kate sees Sawyer packing up his stuff; she looks troubled.
Jack asks Sayid if he has everything he needs.
Sayid- "No. but I made the best out of what we have."
He tells him Bernard and Jin are excellent shots and highly motivated. The dynamite's in place, they won't miss. He also tells Jack to be sure to keep moving to the radio tower. No matter what happens at the beach, don't turn back for any reason, "I'm willing to give my life if it means securing rescue. I'm not giving it up for nothing. You understand?"
Jack understands. The men shake hands.
Sayid wishes Jack, "Good Luck."
Jack-"You too."

Rose asks Bernard, "If I told you I'd help you with your S.O.S. sign would you change your mind?"
Bernard smiles, "No ma'am."
She makes him repeat the 'I am a dentist, I am not Rambo' mantra,"And don't you forget it."

Danielle watches Aaron, who's being held in Hurley's arms. Hurley assures Claire that Charlie will be fine.
Jin tells Sun to stay close to Jack and rest when she has to Sun cries and asks him why he's doing this
Jin in English tells her, "Because we have to go home."
Juliet watches Jin and Sun.
Naomi is still playing with her phone.
Jack leads them on this Exodus while the three shooters stay behind.

The flock crosses the rocky area; Danielle in the lead.
Naomi catches up to Jack and asks him what he did for a living before he became Moses.
He admits to being a doctor.Juliet is right there with them yet Naomi informs Jack none of his people trusts Juliet. Juliet takes that cue to move ahead and tells Jack to catch up to her when he's done. Naomi needs his attention to show him how to work the gadget in case something happens to her. {I guess something's gonna happen to her.} "You need to be able to call my boat." It’s very simple, "Once the rock star turns off whatever underwater contraption is jamming us up this red light will turn a lovely shade of green. That'll be anytime now, yeah?"
Jack-"Hopefully."
Naomi looks worried.

Charlie is being punched in the face by the blond/light. {Bonnie}
She asks, "Who are you?"
The dark haired woman, {Greta} tells him if he tells them how he got down there, they won't hurt him.
Charlie reveals to the ladies, "I came in by invisible submarine. Don't you see it?"
Bonnie hits him again. {He is tied to a desk chair} Greta tells Bonnie to take it easy.
Bonnie- "Take it easy? He's one of them. Why are you here? How did you find out about this station?"
Charlie reveals Juliet spilled the beans, "She's one of us now. In case you haven't heard."
Tough Bonnie hits him again.
Greta yells "Stop!"
She says they have to call Ben so they open a huge door. Charlie sees the blinking yellow light and communication equipment. We see the conversation Desmond has with Charlie describing the flash.

Ben in his tent at night.{Lanterns. Wooden doll, framed pic of Alex} He is writing in his journal. Bonnie is trying to reach him on his walkie. Ben leaves the tent, I guess for better reception. Mikhail and Richard are playing chess and drinking coffee or tea.
Ben asks Bonnie, "Why are you breaking radio silence?"
Bonnie tells him, "One of 'them's down there."
Ben asks which one. Charlie hears Ben asks this and yells, "It's Charlie! Tell him I said hi!"{He seems entertained.}
Bonnie informs Ben that Juliet told them about the station. {Richard's face.} Ben tells her to sit tight and don't do anything; he's sending help.
Ben wants Mikhail to go down to the Looking Glass and find out what Charlie Pace is doing down there.
Mikhail-"You told us the Looking Glass was inoperable. Flooded."
Ben admits he lied. {No really,Ben told a lie! I know, I'm shocked too! lol}
Ben needs Mikhail to go now!He can be there by dawn.Richard looks troubled.
Mikhail is curious and asks, "But if Juliet told them about the Looking Glass, what else did she tell them?"
Ben radio's Ryan but his radio is off.

Ryan is looking through binoculars at the Lostie's beach camp. {Night} He asks Tom if their walkie's are all off.
Tom-"Yes sir."
Juliet did her job marking three of the tents with white coral.
Ryan-"Let's do this."

Our three shooters are hidden as they watch the Others walk through the camp. The Others realize no one is at the camp.
Sayid shoots one tent and it blows up!
Ryan yells "It's a trap! Move!"
Bernard shoots his tent, it blows up!
Jin, with a handgun, fires twice but misses his mark.{Handgun belonged to Karl.}
The Others see those shots came from the "Tree line!"
There's a shootout!
Jin shoots one of them.
Ryan knocks down Jin, "I got your man.Drop your weapon."
Bernard tries to run away and get knocked by Tom.
Sayid has Ryan in the cross-hairs.
Ryan, who is holding Jin at gunpoint tells Sayid "It's over."
Sayid's about to pull the trigger and an Other pulls a gun on him, "Don't. Finger off the trigger."

Jack and his flock watches the two explosions at the beach from afar.
Rose is upset there was supposed to be three explosions.

 

Worried Kate, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, says "It didn't work."
Jack doesn't say anything.

Bearded Jack gets stitched up in the ER. {A lot of windows in this ER. Cut on right side a few inches over eye.}
The attending doctor tells him the news people are waiting for him outside, ‘Him being a hero and all."
Jack asks how the woman is. The doctor informs him she's been stabilized and feels it's a good thing he was on that bridge.
Sarah opens the door. The doctor tells her no visitors in the ER but
Jack says it's OK, they used to be married. Sarah asks what happened. {His right forearm is bandaged}
Sarah wonders "Were you drinking again?"
Jack- “No.”
Sarah- "Are you Jack?"
He says no. {Is this Jack?}
Jack asks her why she came down there. Apparently she's still listed as his emergency contact {Convenient, huh? After all that time.}
Sarah- "What were you doing driving around at 2:00 in the morning?"
He looks confused and tears up, "Maybe you could give me a lift home."
She doesn't think that's appropriate.Jack thanks her for coming down. She's crying and says"Goodbye, Jack."

Jack is still staring down toward the beach camp.
Worried Sun wonders, "Why were there only two explosions?"
Jack-"Maybe they didn't have to blow the 3rd tent." {You can see the deep black smoke rising against the night sky from the explosions.}
Rose questions the gunshots.
Jack tells her "He's OK, Rose."
Sun-"Do you believe that?"
Jack-"Listen. They had no idea that we were waiting for them. And Sayid's with your husbands. They're gonna be fine. And they're gonna be a couple of hours behind us." {Check out Juliet when he says that.}
Sun wants to wait there for them. Jack says no, no one gets left behind.
Rose-"If you say Live together, Die Alone to me Jack, I'm gonna punch you in your face."
Jack smiles, "Fair enough, Rose. Fair enough. But we have a plan. And for all we know it worked. It's gonna be OK. Everything's gonna be alright. Let's just keep moving. OK?"
Sawyer seems concerned for the guys at the beach. Naomi does the only thing she does best...checks if she's got a signal yet.
Nope, no signal.

Blinking yellow light.
Bonnie's going to ask a beaten Charlie, one more time, "Why are you here?"
Charlie still tied to the chair, tells her "I'm here to turn off your jamming equipment, in there, next to the flashing yellow light."
He knows, "I know about it, because, I know. Whatever you ladies do to me, I'm going to turn it off."
She asks him what the code is; only three people know it, Bonnie, Greta and Ben. {Apparently Des didn't know anything about a code or does he?}
Charlie tells him he won't need the code since the entire station is going to be flooded. He tells them to turn off the little jammer and the helicopters come and rescue all his friends. Bonnie sarcastically asks if the station floods what happens to him. Charlie admits he dies. {His face changes.}

"They're all dead."
Tom tells Ben, "Diane, Ivan, all of them!" Shephard and his people are gone but Tom doesn't know where. They killed 7 of them!
Ryan tells Tom to calm down and tell Ben the good news, that they caught three of them. They knew they were coming.
Ben's hand is shaking, "It was Juliet. She betrayed us."
He tells Tom to figure out where she is.

Ryan calls Sayid, Junior; he wants info and knocks him out. Tom tells Ben they have Jarrah, Kwon and the dentist. {Why don't he use his real name?}
Ben tells them to shoot Kwon. If they want them to answer questions, kill Kwon!
Bernard is freaked out and wants to "talk".
Jin tells him, "No. No Talk!"
Tom tells Bernie to talk so no one will get hurt.
Sayid tells Bernie he's lying; they're going to kill them anyway. Sayid gets knocked again!
Ryan to Jin, "Sayonara."
Bernard spills the beans-"The radio tower. They're hiking to a radio tower."
He goes on to tell them about the woman who parachuted there and her satellite phone; they're going to call her ship. Also spills the beans about Karl in a canoe warning them they were coming tonight. Ben is troubled by what he just heard; he stares at Alex. He decides he doesn't want the three killed just yet.

Ben uses a red pencil to chart a red route line on a map to the radio tower; he's going. {Daylight. Coffee}
Richard is to take everyone else to the temple as planned.
Richard advises, "Now might not be the best time to go tromping off on your own."
People are asking questions about leaving home, Locke, Jacob and the rumor that everyone who went down to the beach is dead. Ben tells him they're not all dead.

Alex asks Ben where he's going. Ben pours more coffee and tells her, "I thought I might go for a walk. See if I can't find Jack and all his friends. {CHECK OUT THEIR EYES!}
Alex is going with him.
Ben thinks it's a good idea "You do wanna see Karl again. Don't you? Get your pack. I'm leaving in 10 minutes."

Richard tells Ben there's 40 of them and he's alone; they're gonna do whatever it takes to get off the island. What does he think is gonna happen when he gets there.
Ben says he's gonna talk them out of it.

The Lostie's refill their water bottles at the stream.
Claire cleans up Aaron's face. {Check out Rose and Sun here.}
Kate tells Sawyer "Something's wrong."
Sawyer- "Lots of things are wrong, Kate."
The three shooters should have caught up to them by now so Kate wants to go back to make sure their alright.
Sawyer-"Course you do."
She wants to know what that was for.
Sawyer- "It means Kate, there's always someone to go back for." {There it is!}
Kate asks him what's the matter.
Sawyer says he's fine.
Kate splashes him! He asks why she did that.
Kate- "TO WAKE YOU UP!   Ever since you got that tape from Locke, it's like you've been sleepwalking." {There it is!!!} She tells him it's like he doesn't care about their friends or anything anymore, "And since when did you start calling me Kate?"
She goes on to say they sent Juliet to check on Sun, but they also wanted to check to see if she is pregnant too.
Sawyer-"Well let’s hope you're not." He walks away.
Sawyer and Jack make eye contact.The phone light is still red; no signal yet.

Daylight.
Desmond finally wakes up!
The left side of his face hurts. He takes Charlie's list out of his pocket and puts it back in. He realizes Charlie really went down there.
Mikhail with scuba gear shoots at Des from the beach.
Desmond takes a deep breath and dives in.

He uses the cable as a guide down to the Looking Glass {Note the bunny on the logo does not have clock hands on it.}

Charlie watches the two girls argue through the porthole window. {Muffled.} He's still tied to the chair, no shoes.

Desmond comes up from the water and sees Charlie.
Charlie warns Desmond to hide! Bonnie hears Charlie so he pretends to have been singing, "You all everybody…"
She hits him, "Shut up." The girls go back into the communications room.
Desmond is hiding in a locker. {Charlie's eyes are dark!}

A patient is on a respirator in a deep rose color room.
Jack looks over her chart. His right hand is shaking and he's a mess; Jack pops a pill. {Note communication board.}
Dr. Rob Hamill sees Jack in the room and asks, "Can I help you?"
Jack says he's just looking at her chart. {Note Jack's badge.}
The Dr. introduces himself to Jack as the new chief of surgery. He's not met Jack yet, "Dr. Shephard, the hero. Twice over."
They shake hands. After last night he's surprised Jack would want to come in, "Talk about right place, right time? This woman is very lucky you were there."
Jack feels "If she was lucky then she wouldn't have a fractured back that was impinging upon her spinal cord. I'd like to operate first thing I the morning."
Jack puts the x-rays up.
Dr. Hamill tells him that this isn't his patient;  Gary Nadler's doing the surgery at 6:00am.
Jack would rather do it himself.
Dr. Hamill explains that last night Jack pulled this woman's 8 year old son out of a flaming car and then you went back for her; he thinks he's done enough.
Jack insists he wants to do this surgery.
Hamill tells him everything's under control, go home and have a drink, he deserves it. {Hamill, a Dr., can't tell Jack has substance problems?! WTF?!}
Hamill takes the X-rays and Jack reluctantly gives him the chart. Jack wants him to call him; he wants to know what happens.

Jack walks down the hospital hallway into the waiting area. The TV is showing the Action 8 news. Jack's 6th Street bridge rescue is the story.'...In the wake of a fiery car accident  that left two injured. An unidentified 40 year old woman and her son... Fortunately Dr. Jack Shephard was there...they were transported to St. Sebastian's hospital...'
Sitting in a chair is a young boy with his left arm in a sling.  The boy in the plaid shirt waves at him. {He sits in between a man and woman.}
Jack wavers on his feet.Messed up Jack heads out the exit door.

Focused Jack walks across the island with his flock.
Sawyer announces "I'm going back."
Jack-"No way."
Sawyer aint asking permission; he's going back to the beach. {Eyes!}
Sawyer- "Look. You got a job to do here. I ain't gonna stand in your way of doing it. But you sure as hell don't need me."
Jack asks him what he's gonna get done alone and unarmed.
Kate offers to go with him.
Sawyer-"NO!"
Kate-"20 minutes ago you weren't even interested in going…"
Sawyer doesn't want to go with her.
Jack-"Sawyer, it's a suicide mission without guns."
Of course Juliet knows where there are some guns! {Fuckin' A!} Juliet tells him there's a hidden cache a couple of miles from here. She can take them back to the beach on a route past it. {Of course she fucking can!}
Juliet feels she kinda has to do this. {I wonder why? Hmm.}
Sawyer-"Let's do this."
Jack tells her not to do anything stupid.She won't if he won't.

Juliet kisses Jack! {Yeah. No comment!}
Kate sees this.
Juliet tells him "Don't wait up." {WHAT?!!}

Charlie is pissing off Bonnie with his singing. He explains to her, when you have a tune stuck in your head; this song just started to come to him. He's almost finished; he just needs to find the bridge. Pissed off Bonnie tells Greta to get the spear gun; she wants Charlie to hurt. Greta won't get it so Bonnie will. She heads over to the lockers.
Charlie- "Oi! Oi! I'll shut up! I’ll shut up!…"
Just then Mikhail emerges from the water and sees the girls, "I thought you two were on assignment in Canada?"
Greta-"He made us promise not to tell anyone."
Charlie says hello again to Mikhail.
Mikhail asks where the other one is.  He tells the girls he was shooting at his friend. The girls say he's alone. {He has a knife.}
Charlie- "Here's a better question to ask Cyclops.  Why did your little friend Ben tell you people that this entire station was flooded when it isn't?    Or why these two have been jamming transmissions off the island?"
This info surprises Mikhail. There's a beep; it's Ben.
Mikhail goes to answer it and closes the door behind him.

Ben tells Mikhail, while on his trek with Alex,"You have to understand everything I did, I did for the island." {Ben, still using the walking stick}
Mikhail- "The Island told you it was necessary to jam your own people."
Ben-"Yes it did! You've always been a loyalist, Mikhail. Now I'm asking you to trust me, to trust Jacob, who told me to do this."
Mikhail questions the fact that Jacob would ask him to lie to his your own people.
Ben explains to him it's because this island is under assault by forces stronger than anything it's had to deal with in many, many years. And we're meant to protect it, Mikhail, by any means necessary. The jamming was for everyone's security. We are in a serious situation here."
Mikhail questions why Ben didn't trust him to tell him. Ben made a mistake and needs him "To help me clean up this mess that I've made. I need you to kill Charlie. Make sure that the jamming mechanism continues to function at all costs. And we can't risk Greta and Bonnie telling the others about what we've done so you'll have to take care of them too."
Alex is shocked.
Disappointed Mikhail asks Ben how does he know he didn't say the same thing to them about him.
Be-"Because if I had, Mikhail, you'd already be dead."

Kate stops to get a rock out from her shoe.
Jack asks her if she's OK.
Jack tells Kate, "He didn't mean it, you know?" About Sawyer saying he didn't want her to go with him.
Kate asks if he didn't mean it, why did he say it.
Jack- "He was trying to protect you. That's why I asked you not to come back for me." {She knows he right on both counts.}
Kate wonders, "Hey, why are you sticking up for Sawyer? He'd never do it for you."
Jack- "Because I love you." {WOW!}

Sawyer asks Juliet when they pulled them out of the polar bear cages and put us on the chain gang, what were they breaking all the rocks for.
Juliet tells him they're building a runway...for the aliens, then makes like she doesn't really know what for, "Do you think they told me everything?" {YEP!}
He asks her if she's screwing Jack yet.
She says no, are you? {Screwing...Maybe he knows that's where that part of the stories gonna go/ has been.}
She goes on to tell him there aren't any guns; she lied. {No. Really! Lied! I'm shocked!} It was the only way he'd let them go back.
Sawyer-"So why are you going back?"
Juliet- "Karma. Why are you going back, James?"

Hurley yells from the distance that he wants to go back with them. He can help after all, their his friends too. Hurley feels left out and just wants to help, "Please?"
Sawyer feels he's just gonna get in the way, "You wanna get us killed?"
Sawyer and Juliet move on. {My heart truly breaks for Hurley.}

Ben reads his chartered map. {Yes, I see it, Pascal Flats} If they head north they should reach the radio tower before them.  Ben let Alex come because he's delivering her to her new family; she betrayed him.
Alex- "You locked Karl in a cage. You put him in a room and tried to brainwash him."
Ben didn't want Karl to get her pregnant; he supposes he overreacted.  Alex wants to know why he has to stop them, why not let them leave.
Ben- "Because I can't, Alex."

Locke's left eye opens.
He is laying the Dharma grave;shot. He can't move his legs. He reaches over for the gun and checks to see if it's loaded and aims it at his head. {Where the 3rd eye would be!}
Whispers!
"Don't John" says Waaaaaaaaaalt! "Put the gun down. Now get up, John."
John tells him, he shot me and "I can't move my legs".
Walt adamantly says, "You can move your legs. Now, get out of the ditch, John...Because you have work to do."
John smiles.


This is only the first half of Through the Looking Glass. Even this first half is friggin' amazing!

* Sawyer cannot face being a father. He must bring him too much childhood painful memories. He wouldn't want to put his own child through anything painful.
* Blinking yellow light represents caution.

* Dr. Hamill, the new chief of surgery. Who was the most resent one? Christian?

I've been digging around about some past clues. I've been trying to find out for sure if the Hummer Hugo is driving in the episode 'Numbers' is indeed, for sure an H3. The reason you ask….The H3, started production in late 2005, but not officially introduced until 2006. I have to do a little more investigating.

Disclaimer: I never claim to know everything about the show and my thoughts by no means make me right! The things I share here are my views and/or opinions. I don't claim to catch every single detail either! You all know I hate spoilers! And I stand clear of reading certain sites as to not take me off my own course of research. The one thing I don't need to do here is rehash all of the obvious clues from an episode, we all know what they are. Understood? Good! Let the fun begin!I'll only note things that I know come up as clues later, but need to be noted when they first show up and things I find that will be of importance! It will get very exciting as we progress into the story

Let's talk about LOST! I Do.











The elevator doors open and out walks "Kate" carrying a red bag. She enters hotel room 752. {Song "Slowly".} The red bag contains a black box with her white bridal veil.
A cop knocks at the door. After a moment of role playing, her fiancé Kevin says he'll break the door down in two seconds. She lets him in; they're gonna get in on!
Kevin is a Miami police officer.













Kate wakes up in her cage to the sound of Sawyer throwing rocks at the lever and the recorded woman's voice saying "Warning" over and over.
She says "I thought you had to pull the lever.
He curtly replies, "I know how to get a damn fish biscuit."
Kate tells him go get her one.
Sawyer asks, "What? You trying to keep me productive?"

Juliet and Ben enter Jack's glass cell
Jack is looking at two X-rays. Ben looks hopeful.
Jack looking over file asks, "You took these blood tests? Made all the notations?"
Juliet nods yes. The X-rays are a week old.
Jack informs Ben, "The tumor on your spine is borderline inoperable. And at the rate it's growing that borderline goes away in about one week."
Ben-"Oh."
Jack asks if the O.R. they were in is fully equipped, i.e. anesthesia and sterile. Juliet says it is.
Jack tells Ben, "You need to be in surgery yesterday."
Ben says alright, whatever Jack needs is his. Ben is ready.
Jack laughs, he didn't tell Ben he would do the surgery, “I just wanted you to understand how you're gonna die. You think I believe you people? You think I trust you? That I'm gonna just do the surgery and hope that you let me go?" Ben looks surprised. Juliet wants Jack to calm down. Jack throws the file at Juliet only it's deflected by the glass cell. Ben is disappointed in Jack's decision. Jack tells Ben "Well Ben, at least you won't have to be disappointed for very long."

Kevin's badge.
"Kate” and Kevin are in bed. She tells him its bad luck to see the bride before the wedding. Kevin tells her it’s bad luck to see the bride in her dress before the wedding.
She had tried on her dress, "I had to hold my breath to get the claspy things to clasp."
They're getting married in 12hours.
Kevin tells her to "You might wanna get clasping.
“Kate” looks troubled, their getting together was fast. Kevin feels "This is right. I know it's real. I love you Monika. She loves Kevin.

Danny comes to get Kate from her cage for work.
Kate wonders "What about him?" referring to Sawyer.
Danny says "He's got the day off. {Danny's nose isn't bandaged!} Kate won't work without him. Sawyer tells her to work; the man wants to give him a day off.
Kate- "No Sawyer. We're a team. You break the rocks. I haul em." {WHAT? I thought it was the other way around? When did that change!!!}
Danny gets Sawyer out of his cage, "I wouldn't want to break up the team."
Desmond covers Eko's body.
Locke takes Eko's cross. Nikki asks what happened to him.
Locke-"Must have been an animal, maybe one of the bears." {So, did they not hear any monster noises or what? They ran out of the Pearl as if they heard it!}
They're not going to carry him back, they will bury him "here".
Desmond asks "Are we?"
Locke feels there's just been a few too many funerals lately, "Nobody needs to see him like this. I slip back to the beach, get a couple of shovels."
Sayid wants to go with him. Locke says no, he'll be back in an hour. {An hour? Can't be.} Sayid will go as it's not safe to go alone. They both take their backpacks.
Sayid asks Locke "What killed Eko?"
Locke shares with him, "The folks at the beach call it the monster. I don't really have a name for it. You don't believe in monsters." {He drinks from water bottle.}
Sayid- "I believe in what I can see. But obviously you have. So why don't you tell me what you think it is."
Locke says it might be what brought them there.
Sayid-"So you believe that this monster decided that Eko was meant to die."
Locke- "I believe Eko died for a reason. I just don't know what it is yet."
Sayid asks if that's why he lied; they aren't headed back towards the camp. Locke says they are, they just need to take a little detour first.

Kate throws wood on the fire. Sawyer is putting rocks into the wheelbarrow. They hear "Compound Breached" over and over on the PA.
Danny-"Where is she? Someone's on the grid. He commands Kate and Sawyer on the ground and if Sawyer moves, shoot him.
Danny over the radio says- "Yeah. They're here. Did the doctor get out again?...You sure?...Well does he know?...How the hell did she get over here?"
Alex is sling shot-ing her way through the work site! She yells at Kate and Sawyer to "Get up! GO!"
Danny holds a gun to Alex asks what she's doing. They're in a face off.
Danny- "You know you're not supposed to be here."
Alex is pissed, "What did you do to him Danny? I want to talk to Ben. Danny gives the OK sign and tells her that’s a “great idea” as she gets grabbed from behind. Danny wants her out of there. As Alex is getting carried away she tells Kate, "Listen. Whatever they say, don't believe them. They're gonna kill your boyfriend... Just like they killed mine."

Kate is chopping rocks, as is Sawyer. She looks at him. Danny is talking to Juliet.
Danny-"I don't understand. It's supposed to be two weeks."
Juliet-"Our schedules been moved up."
Danny- "Is that an order?
Juliet- "It's coming from him."
Danny feels "That's stupid."
Juliet tells him "It’s not my call. It’s the way it is."

Juliet walks over to Kate, she would like for her to put the hood over her head and go with her. Kate isn't going to put a hood over her head because Juliet said please.
Juliet- "No. I think you're going to put a hood over your head because the man standing behind me, the one who's burning a hole in my back. That man is going to kill Sawyer. But if you put this on, and you come with me, There's something that you can do for us that will save his life."
Kate puts the hood over her head.





Monika is dressed in a wedding gown looking into a mirror. {Red curtains} Her future mother in law comes in to see her. There are a lot of excited policemen out there so she's asked them not to shoot their guns in the air when you say "I do". Suzanne gives her a necklace. {Looks like a locket with something engraved} Suzanne's mother gave it to her on her wedding day, "She told me someday I'd give it to my daughter. But, since I had four boys…here."
Monika puts it on, "It's perfect."



In the church the two are about to be wed. The preacher tells the congregation Kevin's been coming to the church since he's little.
The Preacher- "When I first met you Monika, I was struck by your honesty and devotion to Kevin. And when I asked him what he loved most about you, he said 'Because what you see is what you get.'

The couple exchange rings and vow the vows... The preacher pronounces them husband and wife. They kiss. She seems happy. {Note the red decoration on the preachers outfit. Gee, ANY ORCHIDS IN THE CHURCH OR ON CORSAGES?! I'm just asking.}




Hooded Kate with Juliet walks down the hallway to Jack's glass cell. {Files that Jack threw are still on the floor.}
Jack looks at Kate. WOW! Such emotion! They go to each other and try to touch each other, only they are separated by the glass.
Juliet gives the two some privacy.
Jack asks Kate if she's Okay where are they keeping her and about Sawyer {Again note the fantastic way this is shot. The reflections (2) of their faces look like a hologram.}
Jack says he's great.
Kate tells him they are being kept outside in a cage and they are making them work on something, "I don't know what it is, but it's big." They're hauling rocks, etc. {Jack looks up. Possibly to see is anyone is watching/camera.}
Concerned Jack asks "Did they hurt you?"
Kate starts to cry. Jack assures her it's gonna be alright.
Crying Kate tells him "You have to do it. This thing that they told you to do...this operation. {Jack looks up again at camera.}
Kate continues, "She said, if you do it, they would..."
Jack wants to know what did they do to her and what did they offer her to get her to ask him.
Kate-"Nothing. They're gonna kill Sawyer."
Kate says that if he does it and does it soon, "they'll let us go."
Jack is surprised and asks, "And you believe them?"
Kate- "I have to."
Jack ends their meeting!
We then see the monitor room. They have been watched the whole time by Ben. Kate is still pleading with Jack; you can hear this via the monitor.
Ben tells Juliet to "Get her out of there."

Monika is wearing the locket while shopping for groceries. She takes a call from Kevin on her cell.
It's taco night; she'll be home soon.
In the rain Monika runs to a pay phone {PALMETTO Telesis. Read research of this, below.} She drops a coin in the phone, sets up an egg timer and calls Agent Mars who has been looking for her. It's the Feast of the Ascension.
Mars is tracking her call. She admits to him she doesn't want to run anymore.
Mars wonders, "What's his name? Does he know who you are?"
Monika-"Edward, please. I know you don't want to spend the rest of your life chasing me."
She really loves this guy. Edward tells her if she can stay put, settle down, then he'll stop chasing her. Then silence.
Mars follows up with, "But you and I both know that's not gonna happen."
The alarm on the timer goes off and she hangs up.

The hood is removed from Kate's head and she's returned to her cage. {She opens her eyes and they have to adjust to the light.} Juliet asks if she really cares about Sawyer.
Kate- "Where is he?"
Juliet only says,"I'm sorry you weren't able to help us, Kate."
Danny is returning Sawyer to his cage. Danny hits Sawyer. Juliet doesn't approve.
Danny-"Right. Sorry Jules."
Danny tells Sawyer if he "has anything to say to his girl, he best says it tonight."
Kate has tear running down her face; she really feels for Sawyer.

Locke is speaking at Eko's funeral in the jungle. He tells of when the hatch exploded {Imploded!Damn it!!} his prayer stick fell out of a tree right on top of me. So Sayid and I went out to get it, because it didn't feel right to bury you without it. I'd like to think you died for a reason, Mr. Eko. Just hope it's not too long before we find out what the heck it might be. Rest in peace, Mr. Eko. And thank you for helping me find my..." {Paulo shirt has birds on it.}

Locke pounds the into the ground with a rock to use as a grave marker. He notes Further INSTRUCTIONS from Eko on it: 'Lift up your eyes and look North. John 3:05.

Kate in her cage tells Sawyer "I saw Jack."   She also tells him they want him to do surgery on Ben.
Sawyer asks, "Who the hell's Ben?"
Kate-"Henry, the guy who brought us in." {'Brought in', not brought here? WTF?} She goes on to tell him he's sick and if Jack does the surgery, they'll let them go.
Sawyer-"And you and me are what, bait?"
Kate-"Something like that."
Sawyer feels the Doc ain't dumb enough to do it
Kate-"I told him he had to."    This upsets Sawyer! He wants to know why; that was stupid!
Kate-"To save your life."
Sawyer-"My life don't need saving."
She insists he's gonna die; Pickett is just waiting for his chance. Kate starts to climb out of the cage and tells Sawyer not to pretend like he doesn’t care.
Sawyer wants her to stay put, "Get down Freckles. We've already been through this."
Kate-"Shut up, James."
She breaks open the lock on his cage and tells him if you don't want Jack to save your life, then save your own. They're getting out of there. {Did Jack save his life last time?}
Sawyer tells her to stop!
Kate tells him to "GO! RUN!"
Sawyer feels, "You're out of your cage. Why don't you run, Kate? Cause me, I aint' runnin, because there ain't no place to go."
He confesses to her that they ain't on "our island"; they're on another island, like Alcatraz, a couple of miles off shore. "So unless you're a mermaid or you got a boat there ain't no point."
He was never going to tell her this because he wanted her believe they had a damn chance.
Kate passionately kisses him, yet she doesn't know why. That turns into some hot island lovin! {Even though he's filthy, unshaven and most likely smells terrible, that man is hot! Can I get an AMEN, ladies?}

In her Miami kitchen Monika serves Kevin two pieces of French toast; drinking her coffee. Kevin tells her to look under her placemat.   To her surprise there are two Oceanic plane tickets to Costa Rica. This is the honeymoon he's promised her for six months. Kevin wants her to get her passport ready. She looks troubled but she tells him she loves him so much.   Then we see Kevin leave for work.  As Kevin heads to his black and white patrol car, Monika stands in the doorway watching. She waves goodbye. We see her face/thoughts change.

Kate and Sawyer are in his cage sharing a tender moment.
He asks, "The day Blockhead was beating on me, you said 'I love you' that was just to get him to stop, right?"
Kate doesn't answer, she kisses him.
He says he loves her too.

Jack is sleeping in his cell and is awakened by static.He goes over to the communication box to try to hear what's coming out of it and communicate.
A voice says- "Try the door." {It sounds like Alex's voice to me.}
The door is open. Jack opens the door to the monitor room. {We don't see Sawyers cage yet.} He opens another closet door to find guns! He takes a gun. Jack turns and sees Kate in Sawyers arms in his cage on the monitor. Jack is surprised. All of a sudden Ben is there with Jack, he says - "If it helps, I was surprised too."
Jack turns pulls the gun on him. Ben doesn't even flinch!!! "If I were a betting man, I would have picked her and you. Well. I supposed this would be the proverbial nail in my coffin, wouldn't it?"
Jack tells him, "Tomorrow. Tomorrow morning. First thing. And everything I mentioned before. The instruments, anesthesia. Someone who can hold a damn clamp. I'll get it out. Your tumor. And I'll keep you alive. But I need your word. I need what you promised me before. I need to get the hell off this island."
Ben-"Done."

Daylight. 
Kate and Sawyer are sleeping in the cage.
Flash to Monika looking in to a mirror. She took a pregnancy test and its result is negative. She cries. Kevin is at a computer working; she brings him a drink. 
Kevin is "working on some IR's on that fugitive recovery out of Tampa. Being a cop is endless paperwork. He sips the drink.
Monika asks him,"What if I told you I was a fugitive? What if I told you I was on the run for blowing up my father, and it was only a matter of time before you found out?"
She tells him it's not a joke. Then tells him she almost had a baby. She feels she "can't 'DO THIS'…Taco night. I don't do Taco Night." 
Kevin calls her Monika and she reveals her name's not Monika. She loves Kevin but tells him she has to leave. 
Kevin tries to stand up and gets dizzy. She drugged him with a sedative because, "Otherwise they'd think you knew. People are going to be asking a lot of questions and I didn't want you to lose your job.
Kevin falls; passed out from her potion. She puts the locket in his left hand.

Juliet and Jack scrub for surgery. There are four X-rays up. {Camera light blinking.} Jack tells her it's a very tricky procedure and he needs her to do whatever he needs, right then and there, no questions asked. She understands as she’s always been good at following orders.
Tom is standing at the O.R. doors. The doctors head in.
Ben is prepped; face down on the table. There are two other people in the room. You can hear the monitor beep. Ben asks Jack if he gets nervous before surgery.
Jack says he used to, but not anymore. Three observers are watching through the glass observatory.
Ben- "Whatever happens, everything will be very different, won't it?"
Anxious Jack with a needle says, "No doubt about it."
Ben asks Juliet if Alex asked about him. Alex did not. They took her home last night and Juliet doesn't know where she is now.
Ben- “Well, see you on the other side. I'm ready"
Jack tells him to countdown from 20.
Ben- "20, 19, 18."
Pickett and the other Other leave the observation room.
Danny comments that "Ben put his life in the hands of one of them. Shephard wasn't even on Jacob's list."
Danny sees that Kate is in Sawyers cage. 
 It is raining. 
Fired up Danny says “You two should've run when you had the chance. Let's go, James."
Danny says he's coming with him and there's nothing she can do about it.
The monitor beeps in the O.R.. Jack makes a small incision in Ben's kidney sac. {Look at Tom's face! Love it!} The beeping gets faster and Ben’s blood pressure is dropping. Jack knocks out one doctor and informs the rest if he doesn't stitch it back up in the next hour Ben dies. 
Jack demands Tom bring his walkie-talkie in.

Sawyer tries to fight off Danny; has a gun to Danny. The other guy has a gun on Kate.
Danny tells him, "You let go, or I do her too."
Kate wants Sawyer to fight but Sawyer concedes.
Danny takes him out of his cage kneels him on the ground; he is going to shoot Sawyer. Kate still wants him to stand up and fight!
Defeated Sawyer wants her to close her eyes so she doesn't have to see. Vengeful Danny is doing this for “Colleen”.
Just in the nick of time Tom radios Danny; he's told to give the walkie to Kate or Jack will let Ben die.
Jack tells Kate they have about an hour head start before they come after them. Jack wants her to tell him the story he shared with her the day of the “crash” when she is safe.
Jack tells Kate, "If I don't get a call from you in the next hour, I'll something went wrong and he dies."
Kate doesn't want to go without him.
Jack says, "Kate, Damn it! Run!"



 
I Do is a GREAT EPISODE!

Things to Note...Questions to ask.
* Who the hell is Jacob?
* Sawyer doesn't know "BEN"
* Locke 'will be back in an hour'.  Eko's death took place near the Pearl Station {and the assumed  'Question mark'}.   If I'm remembering correctly, it took Eko and Locke hours to get there in '?', they even had to camp out.  How is Locke going to take a detour, go back to the beach and return there in an hour?
* If the “monster” decides who "dies", what is the monster basing that decision on? What criteria is this monster basing judgment? Maybe some people are getting to close to discovering certain things and the 'monster' just removes them.  Maybe they have to be removed before someone discovers there are more than one of the same person running around!  OMG! Did I just fucking say that out loud? lol.   Or is it when they find what they're looking for as in themselves/peace/closure/forgiveness/let go of something/grow/enlightenment.
* If Kate is a wanted criminal why- OH- why would she hook up with a police officer. Is that reality? Come the fuck on!
* Danny's nose is healed.
* Taco night! Santa Rosa has taco night!
* Hood over head-Veil over head.
* Juliet gets called different versions of her name.
* Kate drugs Kevin. She has also drugged Jack and tried to make Jin sick, (helping Sun) but Michael got sick.
* If there really is more than one “Island” maybe there are many more hidden “islands” or Layers/Levels. Maybe 6, 9 or even 12 other islands. What would be on these other “islands”? Hmmm??!!!
* Orchids…..What do you think?

* Feast of the Ascension is commemorating when Jesus' body ascended to heaven in the presence of his apostles, forty days following his resurrection.
* BUG-

It is known to be very mobile, and it also has wings which allow it to be quite a capable flier. Females produce egg cases and carry them protruding from the tip of the abdomen for about 2 days.
