The Little Prince.

Let's talk about LOST! The Little Prince.

It's night on the Searcher.

Jack looks out onto the water while Kate holds Aaron wrapped in a blue blanket.
Jack whispers “Hey” to Kate, but he doesn’t have to whisper because Kate informs him that when Aaron is out, he’s out.
Jack remarks that at least one of the can sleep. It’s going to take more than two nights for Kate to get used to sleeping in a normal  bed. They have a conversation about what to do about Aaron. Jack did not know Claire was flying to L.A. to give him up for adoption.
Kate comes up with the lie/story about Aaron; she will say Aaron is hers. Kate will say to everyone she was six months pregnant when she was arrested and she gave birth on the island, “No one would ever know.” {Ass!}
Jack tells her there are other ways to do this. Kate feels that after everyone they’ve lost she can’t lose him too.
Jack tells her Sawyer isn’t dead. She concurs, “But he’s gone.”
She says goodnight to Jack.
Jack-“If we’re gonna be safe, if we’re gonna protect the people we left behind, tomorrow morning I’m gonna have to convince everyone to lie. If it’s just me, they’re never gonna go for it. So I’m gonna turn to you first. Are you with me?”
Kate looks into his eyes and replies, “I have always been with you.”

THREE YEARS LATER

Kate looks in the mirror and adjusts the black outfit she borrowed from Sun.
Sun-“How does it fit?”
Of course, it’s perfect. Sun asks Kate, if she's sure she wants to do this. Kate reminds Sun it was her idea.Aaron wants “mommy” to put ketchup on his eggs. Kate explains to him that she is going to do an errand, then, they can go home. Sun tells Kate not to worry about them, there’s candy in the mini bar, 100 channels on the TV, “We’re going to be just fine here.”
Kate thanks Sun, she doesn’t know what she would have done if she wasn’t there. Sun feels that’s what any friend would do. Kate heads out, “I will be back soon.”
Honey/Aaron will be good for Sun. Sun wishes Kate “Good Luck.”

Derek delivers a large white envelope to Sun.
Sun opens the envelope {Century Grand Hotel. S. Kwon. #3136} it contains surveillance notes {Surveillance Data Investigations, Inc.} and black and white photos of Ben and bearded Jack at the funeral parlor. {White hearse and van} A golden yellow box of candy chocolates conceals a big ass gun under the tray.

Miles fills up a flask with water at the creek and he runs it back to a passed out bloody Charlotte. Juliet checks Charlotte’s
eyes and tries to wake up her up. Sawyer wants to know what the hell’s wrong with her, “She’s been out for 10 minutes.”
Juliet feels if Dan has something to tell her, now is a good time.  Dan doesn’t know what she means. He cleans up Charlotte’s face.
Sawyer interjects, “She wants to know why your girlfriend had a seizure.”
Juliet tells Sawyer to give them some space.
Sawyer feels she’s like that because the sky keeps lighting up and that Dan knew this would happen and he didn’t say squat about it.
Juliet calmly tells James to go away.
Juliet quietly asks Dan if he knew this would happen.
Dan thought it might, “I think it’s neurological. Our brains have an internal clock, a sense of time. The flashesthrow the clock off. It’s like really bad jet lag.” {WTF?! Really?!}
Juliet informs him that really bad jet lag doesn’t make you hemorrhage. She wants him to tell her why this isn’t happening to the rest of them.
Dan doesn’t know, “But thank god it’s not.”

Looking out an office window down at a city street is Kate.   She is there to offer a “deal” to Mr. Norton. She offers to relinquish the blood samples but first she wants to talk to his client. He reveals that he is seeing his client later today so he will pass along her offer, but his client won’t go for any “deals” with her. Kate’s in no position to be making any deals as he has a signed court order compelling her to let them confirm that she’s the child’s mother; he can have the sheriff make her do it.  But his client wants to handle the exchange of custody quietly.   Upset Kate just wants to know who is doing this to her.
Norton- “You did this to yourself.  Now it is time you prepare yourself, Ms. Austen. You are going to lose the boy.”

Juliet is still checking Charlotte’s eyes.
Locke quietly tells Sawyer {he has a gun and knife} that they have to go back to the Orchid. He feels that where all this started, maybe that’s where it will all stop. Sawyer looks at Dan and Juliet; still caring for passed out Charlotte and tells Locke, “That greenhouse is a long ways away.”
Locke suggests they take the zodiac raft and cut around the horn of the Island and get to the Orchid in half the time. Locke doesn’t know exactly at all what to do when they get there but he does know that Ben used it to leave the Island. {Did he?}
Locke believes if he can do the same thing, “I believe I can save us.”
Sawyer asks how is he gonna do that.
Locke, speaking softly, “This is all happening because they left. I think it’ll stop if I can bring them back.”
Sawyer-“Bring who back?”
Locke-“Jack, Sun, Sayid, Hugo, Kate.”
Sawyer tells Locke the boat blew up and that chopper was probably on it.
Locke-“They’re not dead, James.”
Says who?! That doesn’t matter.
Locke- “All that matters is they gotta come backI have to make them come back.  Even if it kills me. {He kind grins when he says that line.} Don’t you want them to come back, James? Don’t you want her to come back?”
Sawyer, being pig headed tells Locke it doesn’t matter what he wants.
Miles announces to them that Charlotte is waking up.
Charlotte wakes up a bit frightened. She doesn’t recognize Dan, “Who are you?
Dan is sad, “It’s me. It’s Daniel.”
Then the bulb in her brain goes on, she remembers him, “My head. What happened?"
Dan tells her there was another flash and she passed out. Charlotte feels a bit dizzy but then tells him, “I’m fine.”
Miles sarcastically says, “Hooray, everything’s back to normal. Now what?”
Sawyer tells them they’re going to the Orchid. Miles watches a bit baffled, as Sawyer takes the lead.

Jack flashes the tiny flashlight into Sayid’s eyesDilation is almost back to normal. {Background voice mentions an oncologist on call in the I.C. U... HA! I see you too!}
Sayid wants the I.V. out of his arm and they can go.
Jack informs him he was unconscious for over 42 hours; he had the equivalent of 3 doses of horse tranquilizers in his system. Sayid is concerned if he sent that man to Hurley’s house, “We have to leave now.”
Jack tells him to relax. “Ben is not going to hurt Hurley. Ben is on our side.”
Come on!... The only side he’s on is his own!
Dr Ariza, the director of clinical services enters to have a word with Jack. {Note poster behind her “ A New Generation”}
Jack tells Sayid he’ll be right back.
Dr. Arzia asks Jack, “What do you think you are doing here?”
Jack explains he was treating a patient; it was an emergency. He apologizes.
She reminds him he was suspended on charges of substance abuse. Emergency or not, he has no business being there. Jack understands and takes full responsibility for his actions.
Dr Arzia tells him the hospital takes full responsibility for his actions and that makes them liable for them.
Jack’s phone rings; it’s Hurley calling him from jail.

Hurley's dressed in an orange jumpsuit, surrounded by other inmates.
Jack smiles knowing its Hurley. Hurley wanted to make sure Sayid got to him; that his dad dropped him off.
Jack lets him know Sayid is with him and he's fine. Hurley is totally cool, “I’m in L.A. County Lockup. And tell Sayid I did exactly what he said. I’m totally safe. Ben’s never gonna get me now.”
Jack asks him what he’s talking about. The call is disconnected.
Ben shows up right at the doorway Jack is standing at.
Ben-“Good! You’re here. How’s Sayid?”

A male nurse enters Sayid’s emergency treatment room, “I got your meds for ya.”
Cautious Sayid tells him he thinks he has the wrong room.
The nurse- “Nope! Room 133. Right?”
He’s got the orders right there. He also tells Sayid not to worry; he won’t need to give him an injection, he’ll just put it in his I.V. line. The nurse turns around, sporting a dart gun ready to fire at Sayid. But Sayid is not in the bed!    The nurse shoots two purple darts. Sayid attacks him and they fight!
Sayid tries to strangle the nurse while asking him “Who are you? Who are you working for?”
Sayid chokes him harder yet wants him to “talk.” The nurse manages to inform Sayid about the address in his pocket.
Sayid breaks from the nurse, grabs the dart gun and shoots two purple darts into him.Sayid searches the nurse’s pockets, tosses the keys, and in his wallet finds the paper with the address on it.
Ben and Jack barge in! Oh Shit! Friendly Ben says hello to Sayid. Jack asks what happened.
Sayid- “Do we know anyone who lives at 42 Panorama Crest?”
Jack reveals that’s Kate’s address.

Worried Jack exits the elevator; dialing up Kate on his cell. Kate answers. {“Flashing lights” on ambulance}
Jack asks if she’s OK; is she at home. He will explain everything, “once you’re out, you gotta get Aaron…”
Kate reveals she’s not at home and Aaron’s at a hotel with Sun.
Kate is sitting in her car.{Staking out Mr. Norton.}
Jack-“Sun? Sun’s in L.A.” {Listen to that!}
Kate shares that Sun’s there on business. “Jack, this really isn’t a good time. I’m so sorry that I even picked up the phone. I’m not…”
Jack warns her not to hang up on him.   He wants to know where she is, he needs to see her.

Ben and Sayid walk up behind Jack.
Kate informs Jack, “I’m downtown. Wilshire and Olive.”
Jack's on his way.
Jack tells Ben he’s going to Kate now while Ben will go deal with Hugo.  They are very hurried.
Sayid- “Sorry Ben. I’m not letting you get anywhere near him.”
Ben tells him he has friends in trouble, “Let's get them to safety and save the dirty linen for later.”
Sayid takes the keys from Ben, “I’ll drive.”
Ben instructs Jack after he gets Kate to meet them at the Long Beach Marina’s, slip 23, “And Jack, Hurry. We’re running out of time.”
Jack gallops off on, uh, I mean in his Bronco.

Night in the jungle:
Sawyer asks Locke what’s he gonna say to Kate to make her come back.
Thunder rolls overhead.
Locke hasn’t figured that out yet.
Sawyer shares with Locke that Kate was pretty excited to hop on that chopper and get the hell out of there. Locke looks as if that doesn’t make sense.
They see a light beam shining up toward the sky.
{Like from the hatch}
Miles asks, “What the hell is that?”
Locke- “Whatever it is, we better stay clear of it.
He starts to walk away but Sawyer shows him in the proper direction to the beach, “Now you wanna take the scenic route?”
Dan asks Locke if he knows “when” they are. John’s only response is, “We need to keep moving.”
John looks at the light.

Dan asks Charlotte about her headache.
Charlotte says it’s better, “Nothing like sore feet to take your mind off your head, eh?”
Dan tells her not to worry cause when they get back to the beach they’re gonna take the zodiac around the Island and she can rest. Charlotte feels that sweet, but he doesn’t need to baby her. She’s fine.
Miles gets a nosebleed. Juliet asks if he’s okay. Miles is peachy.
Screams ring out through the jungle.
Miles- “Now what?”
Nobody move! Sawyer’s gonna check it out.
John seems to want to stop him but James “Got this.”
James observes Claire delivering Aaron in the jungle; Kate is her midwife. You can hear Kate’s dialog “You can’t stop this from happening…and Claire’s, it knows I don’t want it. I was gonna give it away. Babies know that stuff… and Kate’s whole “this baby is all of ours/us” speech.
Kate needs her to push. {What? the button? Lol}
Breathe and push…. You can see Sawyer just long for her. {It’s so damn sweet!}
The light starts to glare, humming…Flash! It’s daylight.
Sawyer looks over to the area he saw Kate and Claire, and of course they are not there.
Whispering John asks what happened, “Did you see something out here, James?”
He replies, “It don’t matter. It’s gone now.”

Kate stills sits in her car waiting to follow Norton.
Clean-shaven {Just needed a change}Jack arrives to talk to her. They are both happy to see each other. Kate says to Jack, she doesn’t know why he called; she can’t be dealing with this right now. He asks her what’s going on, she says it's nothing, of course.
Kate wants him to “just go.”
Jack- “Please. Just tell me.”
She reveals that somebody wants Aaron, “There’s a lawyer in there his clients they know we’re lying. They know I’m not his mom. And they’re gonna take him away.”
Jack-“Who’s gonna take him away?” {the Others. lol}
Then she spots her target. Kate’s gotta go so she tells Jack to “Get in or don’t.”
Jack gets in.

Locke asks Sawyer if he’s ready to tell him who he saw back there. {How does he know it’s a “who”?}
Locke-“You and I both know “when” we were before the flash, James. So who was it you saw? Charlie? Shannon? Yourself?
Sawyer wants to know how Johnny Boy knew “when we were”.
He asks, “That light in the sky was from the hatch, wasn’t it?”
Locke tells Sawyer, “The night that Boone died {Locke looks back} I went out there and started pounding on it as hard as I could. I was confused. Scared. Babbling like an idiot. Asking, why was all this happening to me?”
Sawyer- “Did you get an answer?”
Locke- ”Light came on and shot up into the sky. At the time I thought it meant something. ” But it didn’t mean anything, it was just a light.
Sawyer- “Why did you turn us around then. Don’t you wanna go back there?”
Locke- “Why would I wanna do that?”
Sawyer- “So you can tell yourself to do things different. Save yourself a world of pain.”
Locke says no, he needed that pain, ”to get to where I am now.”

Dan walks, looking up. Miles tells Dan about his nosebleed.
Upset Dan asks when. Miles doesn’t want to “freak out the Others.” {LOL!}
Miles wants Dan to tell him why this happened to him and Charlotte. Dan doesn’t know. He thinks it might have something to do with the duration of exposure, with the amount of time you’ve been on the island. Miles says that doesn’t make any sense, “Those Yahoo’s have been here for months. I’ve been here before two weeks ago.”
Dan- "Are you sure about that?”
Miles looks confused.
Sawyer yells “Hello.” The camp’s back. Finally!
Sawyer asks if anyone wants a Dharma beer. He calls out for Rose and Bernard but nobody’s home. The camp is disheveled and old; cans are empty and rusted.
Locke wonders how long ago this happened. He finds what he considers “Vincent’s” rope leash but no Vincent.
Sawyer wonders, “Where’s the rest of the dog? Where’s the rest of our people?”
Dan announces the zodiac’s gone too.
Charlotte-“Maybe your people took the boat.” {Raft?} Why would they do that?
Miles-“To get away from whoever came in those.”, pointing at an outrigger/canoe.
Dan notes they’re pretty old.
Miles- “Not that old.” {So, are they old or not?} He finds an Ajira water bottle in the canoe. The fucking knows it all, Juliet informs them its an airline based out of India. They fly everywhere. {Friggin Juliet!!!}
Sawyer- “Great. Maybe they got a flight out of here to Vegas….Who came in these? Other Others?” {LMFAO!!!!}
Juliet- “Don’t look at me.” {Huh?!}
Dan’s question is, when are they coming back?
Locke suggests they not wait to find out. They take the boat and row away.
Rowing along, not motoring along, Miles asks, “How far is this place?”
John points, “It’s around that point. Not more than a couple of hours.”
Juliet asks a sad looking Sawyer if he’s all right. He shares that he saw Kate last night in the jungle, before the last Flash; she was delivering Claire’s baby.
Juliet comments, “That was two months ago.”
Sawyer- “Time travel’s a bitch.”
Shots are fired at them. “Get Down!”
Paddle!
Miles thinks they want their boat back! He asks Juliet if these are her people. They are not so she asks if they’re his. Sawyer tells them to shut up and keep paddling. Sawyer’s paddle gets a bullet hole, ”Little help! Little help! {Is that an Indian name? lol!} He gets another paddle.
Juliet fires back at the other boat. The other boat is getting closer.
The hummm starts, the light changes…Sawyer yells, “Thank you lord!”
Flash! It's pouring rain in the dark!
Sawyer-“I take that back!”
Locke tells them to paddle back to the shore.

Dark rain clouds are moving in.
Kate and Jack followed Norton to a hotel. Jack tries to reason with her about Norton meeting his client doesn’t mean they’re here in L.A., he could have told her that to throw her off.
Kate says emphatically, ”Well, they’re in that hotel right now.”
Jack asks if that person who wants Aaron is sitting in that hotel, then what. He wants her to go with him, go get Aaron and put their heads together and figure something out.
Kate sees a woman open the door to let Norton in. {Red folder} they see its Claire’s mother.
Norton heads back to his car in the pouring rain, while Jack and Kate watch and wait. They are visibly upset and concerned. Jack stops Kate from putting the car in gear.
Kate cries because, “She knows all about Aaron and that’s all that matters.”
Jack will go in and talk to her; maybe he can explain to her why they did it, get her to understand why.
Jack feels “She’ll listen to me. I can fix this, Kate. I can fix it…Aaron is my family too.”
Jack heads out into the rain.

Claire's mom looks deeply at a red framed photo of Claire in a red dress.  There's a knock at her door.
Ms Littleton is surprised to see Dr. Shepherd. She hasn’t seen the drenched Doctor since his father’s funeral.  Jack reveals he knew she was there because he followed her lawyer. He did this because he understands the need for her to do this, but he needs her to know that everything they Kate and I have done was for Aaron.
Ms Littleton-“Who's Aaron?” She’s not following him; she has no idea what he’s talking about. Jack inquires about what she’s doing in L.A..

Jack runs back to Kate’s car and tells her to drive and call Sun, tell her to bring Aaron to the Long Beach Marina; they have to go now!
He tells her that Littleton isn’t there for Aaron, she doesn’t know Aaron exists. She still thinks Claire is dead. She sued Oceanic and is in town to pick up her settlement. Kate questions the coincidence that her lawyer is the same one who is trying to take her son. So who is trying to take Aaron?

Sayid and Ben drive the CANTON-RAINIER carpet van.
Ben asks Sayid why he took it upon himself to rescue Hugo.
Sayid had to make sure Hurley was safe. Ben directs him to pull into a parking garage. They are met by Mr. Norton, who presents Ben with a folder of info. He tells Ben “they don’t have any solid case against Reyes.  The M.E. said that the man found outside Santa Rosa was killed before Reyes escaped.” That’s good news to Ben. There will be a pre-lim hearing in the morning. The judge will never let it past that, and Reyes will be a free man.
Sayid asks “Who was that?”
Ben- “That’s my lawyer.”

The “time traveling Islanders” pull their boat up on to the beach. It is dark.

Miles- “Remind me never to do that again.”
Dan asks where they are. Locke feels it’s hard to say until it gets light. There are flashes of lightning and thunder cracks.
Juliet wants a chance to finish her conversation with Sawyer.
He asks, “What conversation was that?”
The one before they started shooting at us, “Where you were about to tell me how it felt to see Kate again.”
He was about to tell her anything.
Juliet- “Why don’t you tell me now?” {As if she really cares. HA!}
Sawyer explains he was close enough to touch her. If her wanted, he could’ve walked right up to her and talked to her. {Why didn’t he?}
Sawyer-“What’s done is done.” He tells Juliet her nose is bleeding.

Charlotte calls everyone over to take a look. “Wreckage. It‘s like it just happened.”
Locke turns over a little locker with the French word stenciled on it. “Besixdouze
Locke asks if anybody speaks French. {We know Charlotte does!}
An octagon shaped raft floats in the dark rain. {passengers are men and 1 woman? They speak French, but we don’t get subtitles. Interesting huh?!}

Robert-”Mais j'te l'ai dit, on aurait jamais dû suivre ces maudits chiffres !” ( But j'tehave said - We never should have followed those damn numbers!)
Montand- ”Mais c'est pas ma faute, Robert. C'est Brennan qui devait tenir le sonar! (But it's not my fault, Robert.  It was Brennan who hold sonar!)
Brennen-“Mais je le faisais, Montand! Je vous l'ai déja dit, les instruments ont mal fonctionné!” (But  I did, Montand!  I've already said, the instruments have malfunctioned!)
Rousseau-“Un homme à la mer!” (Man overboard!) {I thought that meant sea?}
Other Man- “Quoi?” (What?)
 “Mais je pensais qu'on était tous là!” (But I thought we were all there!)
“On est tous là ! Il n'est pas des nôtres. Alors qui est-ce?“ (We're all here! It is not ours.  So who is it?)

They need to paddle fast as they’re drifting with the current. They see a man floating, only him, no boat…Nothing “Les vagues vont nous amener jusque sur la côte.” (The waves will lead us to the coast.)
“Le vent va passer par ici.” (The wind will pass through here.)
“Au nom de dieu, Brennan ! Ta gueule !” (In the name of god, Brennan! Shut up!)
“Allez, tirez-le dans le radeau.” (Come on, pull the raft.)
“Aide moi.” (Help me.)
"Il est lourd!" (He's heavy!)
“Tiens, il respire encore.” (He's still breathing.)
It’s Jin!!

Night:
Jack and Kate arrive at the dock; they’re the first ones there.   Kate asks him why he called her today. Jack said because he was worried.
Kate wonders why he was worried, “Why today?”
He shows her the handwritten note with her address on it.   He explains this note came out of Sayid’s attacker's pocket.
Kate asks what Sayid is doing there, but of course Jack’s answer is, it’s not important. What is important is that she and Aaron get to “some place safe.” But safe from who?
Jack doesn’t answer.

Ben and Sayid show up Ben says hello to Kate. Kate is stunned. Ben smiles.
Jack tells her it’s okay. He’s with me.”
Jack knows it’s gonna be hard for her to understand, “He’s here to help us. To help everyone that we left behind. We all need to be together again.”
Kate-“It’s him.”
Kate feels it’s him {Ben} trying to take Aaron away.”
Jack says no.
Ben-”No Jack. She’s right. It was me.”
Now Jack’s stunned.
Ben-“Sorry.”
Kate asks Ben who the hell he thinks he is. Why doesn’t he just stay away, “Leave me and my son alone.”
Ben-“Because he’s not your son. Kate.”

Sun watches them from her car. Aaron is sleeping in the back seat. She takes her gun and...
Daylight:
Jin unconscious, dries on the beach.   He wakes.  He sees one of the French men has a violin case. They have guns, walkie/radio. You hear…4... 8...

Montand- “Robert... Regarde, le signal vient de l'île” (Look, the signal's coming from the island.)
Robert- “Tu peux déterminer la source?“ (Can you find the source?)
electronic voice on radio: 15... 16...
Montand-“Bien sûr que oui. Regarde.” (Yes, of course. Look.)
Robert- “Tu crois que l'île est habitée?” ( You think the island is inhabited?)
Montand-“J'sais pas.” (I don't know.)
Rousseau- “Ça va? Comment tu te sens? “  (Ok, how do you feel?)
Jin-“No understand.
Rousseau-“You speak English?”
Jin-“Little.”
Rousseau-“Are you okay?”
Jin-“Yes.”
Rousseau-“How did you get here?”
Jin-“Boat.”
Robert-“Qui est-ce? “ (Who is it)
Montand-“On s'en fout qui c'est. Qu'est ce qu'il fait ici? “ (We do not care who it is. What is he doing here?)
Rousseau-“Il dit qu'il est venu en bateau.” (He said he came by boat.)
Robert to Jin- “What boat?”
Jin-“It's gone. Sink.”
Rousseau-“It must've been caught in the same storm as ours.”
Montand-“Who are you? How long you in the water?”
Jin-I don't know.”
Montand-“How do you not know how you wound up in the middle of the ocean, huh?”
Rousseau-“Montand! Laisse-le, il est en état de choc. On a de l’eau à lui donner?” (Montand! Leave him alone, he's in a state of shock. We have water to give him?)
Robert-“Ouais.” (Yeah.)
Robert comes back with water.
Robert-“Tiens.” (Here.)
Rousseau-“Merci, Robert.” (Thank you, Robert.)
Jin drinks. She asks him his name. “Kwon Jin-su. Jin.
Rousseau-“Hello, Jin. I'm Danielle. Danielle Rousseau.”

The little prince is a GREAT episode! So much was going on. The calm before the storm!
I was thrilled to see a few clues addressed, especially the whole dead not dead, just being gone from there. So if that's the case with examples here, i.e. Claire, Jin, Sawyer, Christian, will we indeed see Boone and Shannon and many more "goners".
Even Sawyer was under the possible impression that Kate and the rest of the O6 were "blown up".

Things to note…Questions to ask…
* Assumed dead…but isn’t. Gone. Vision of Kate and Claire, then it’s gone. Jin. Claire.
* EYES!
* Memory loss. Head. Neurological. C.T. Scan, Connected/Disconnected.
* Generations. Blood. Cell. Feet.
* Reincarnation {anagram. Come back to "life"}
* Dan, Charlotte’s daddy?
* I.V. or Roman numeral IV=4.
* Charlotte’s headache and nose gets better.
* Claire was an observer and saw herself in her own Vision/Memory.
* Does Dan know what he’s talking about…Really?!
* These people all have people. I want some people too!
* Missing from the birthing scene that Sawyer watches is Jin and Charlie. What was that all about any way?
* Could he be seeing a “real replay” of past events? Or could it be a projected image”, similar to the projection invention like from the book, The Invention Of Morel?
* Jin arrives alive, just as he did when the Others blew up the raft and he landed in the Talies side of the "Island".
* This is supposed to be Danielle Rousseau from 16 year prior? Give me a fucking break!
* Kate is Aaron's "mom/guardian and risks losing him. Michael was Waaaaaalt's dad/guardian and lost him too.
* Yahoo... As in computers or on-line?
* Locke-"Light came on and shot up into the sky. At the time I thought it meant something. But it didn't mean anything, it was just a light."
* John has to bring the family back together. "Further Instructions".

Vocabulary and Research…
*  {Chief} Little Prince or Tustenuggee was an 18th century chieftain and longtime representative of the lower Creeks from the 1780s until his death in 1832. During the early 1800s, he and Big Warrior shared the leadership of the Creek National Council. Little Prince is first recorded in 1780 living as a chieftain at  Broken Arrow
* The Little Prince ( French:Le Petit Prince), published in 1943, is French aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupery’s most famous novella, he wrote while renting a house in N.Y. on Long Island. The novella includes a number of drawings by Saint-Exupéry himself, which are reproduced in most versions.
-Astronomy- An asteroid, a small asteroid moo, Petit-Prince was named from the book.
* Reincarnation- Literally "to be made flesh again", is a doctrine or metaphysical belief that some essential part of a living being survives death to be reborn in a new body. This essential part is often referred to as the spirit or soul, the "higher" or "true" self, "divine spark", or "I". According to such beliefs, a new personality is developed during each life in the physical world, but some part of the self remains constant throughout the successive lives. Belief in reincarnation has ancient roots.
* A canton is a type of administrative division of a country.
- The name Rainer comes from the Germanic name Reginar, composed of the two elements ragin ("advice") and heri ("army").
- A circadian rhythm is an approximate daily periodicity, a roughly-24-hour cycle in the biochemical, and physiological or behavioral processes of living beings, including plants, animals, fungi, and cyan bacteria. Circadian rhythms are endogenously generated, and can be entrained by external cues, called Zeitgebers. The primary one is daylight.

The rhythm is linked to the light-dark cycle. Disruption to rhythms usually has a negative effect. Many travelers have experienced the condition known as jet leg, with its associated symptoms of fatigue, disorientation and insomnia.

I explored the wonderful world of Virtual Reality in past compositions. But a couple of thing came up in this episode that made me have a flashback to a few of those things.

- Computed tomography (CT) a medical imaging method employing tomography. Digital geometry processing is used to generate a 3 dimensional image of the inside of an object from a large series of 2-dimensional x-Ray images taken around a single axis of rotation. The word "tomography" is derived from the Greek tomos (slice) and graphein (to write). CT produces a volume of data, which can be manipulated, through a process known as windowing.
- Tomography is used in medicine, archeology, biology, geophysics, oceanography, material science, astrophysics and other sciences. In most cases it is based on the mathematical procedure called Tomographic Reconstruction.
- Virtual- the term has been defined in philosophy as "that which is not real" but may display the full qualities of the real.
- Virtual reality (VR) is a technology, which allows a user to interact with a computer, simulated environment, be it a real or imagined one. It’s immersible, highly visual, 3D environments. In the book The Metaphysics of Virtual Reality, identifies 7 different concepts of Virtual Reality: simulation, interaction, artificiality, immersion, telepresence, full-body immersion, and network communication.
- Therapeutic use for VR: Is it’s various application to various forms of exposure therapy, ranging from phobia treatments, to newer approaches to treating PTSD {post traumatic Stress Disorder}. Also notable examples would be various zoophobias and acrophobia, as a step between basic exposure therapy such as the use of simulacra and true exposure. A much more recent application is being piloted by the U.S. Navy to use a much more complex simulation to immerse veterans (specifically of Iraq) suffering from PTSD in simulations of urban combat settings. While this sounds counterintuitive, talk therapy has limited benefits for people with PTSD, which is now thought by many to be a result of changes either to the limbic system in particular, or a systemic change in stress response.
- Cave Automatic Virtual Environment (better known by the recursive acronym CAVE) is an impressive virtual reality environment where projectors are directed to three, four, five or six of the walls of a room-sized cube. The name is also a reference to the allegory of the Cave in Plato’s Republic where a philosopher contemplates perception, reality and illusion.
- Mixed reality (MR) (encompassing both augmented reality and augmented virtuality) refers to the merging of real and virtual worlds to produce new environments and visualizations where physical and digital objects co-exist and interact in real time.

Okay, you’re going to be pissed off at me because I have to play fair and show you a possible alternative to what we could be seeing.  Yes, I’ve hinted to this in the past, many times actually.  Then the “Powers That Be” introduced “Time Travel” into the mix.  We were told “time travel”, but only the conscious mind travels, yada, yada, yada.  I’ve been logically keeping an open mind to all of this, all the while being a detective that always keeps my clues very middle of the road and showing you two sides whenever possible.  With all that said, I must say that the clues I seem to be perceiving are still there.   So how were all those logical clues going to fit into the illogical world of time travel?  Holy Shit, Losties, I’m gonna lose my friggin' mind over all this!
That brings me to…
Time skipping due to “traveling through time”.  Is it possible that the hints we have to head, C.T. Scans/MRI, Radiology {which are equipped with a giant magnet} and hints to books such as The invention of Morel, and all the mind fucks that I've mentioned in past posts, hypnosis, lucid dreaming, brainwashing, drug hallucination, illusion, Santa Rosa,  altered state of consciousness, merged/altered reality, etc..
Are some of the things we see intertwined with a form of three dimensional recreations?  I’m not saying all of what we see is due to that, but too many of the clues still point us in the way of things going on in their heads/minds.
In this episode we do touch on the concept of living your life over, and doing things differently, could possibly save you a lot of regret and pain.   But in reality we can’t do that.  Here John Locke says he wouldn’t go back because he needed all that pain to get him where he is now.  We all have moments in our lives we wish we could “do over” but we can't.  But lessons are learned from those “past events." We can flashback and reflect on them, but hopefully not make the same mistakes again. And the adage "Everything happens for a reason" is sometimes not understood at the time, but at some point in the future, when an event or experience presents itself, and we "Get it."

Back to the matter at hand... Who is the Little Prince? Aaron? Charlie Hume? Jin? Hurley? or Jack? Or is it a player to be named later?

Either way, a big storms a brewin'!

Love to all who are "LOST"™

Here's a couple of pictures to Note:
Note A and  B

Disclaimer: I never claim to know everything about the show and my thoughts by no means make me right! The things I share here are my views and/or opinions. I don't claim to catch every single detail either! You all know I hate spoilers! And I stand clear of reading certain sites as to not take me off my own course of research. The one thing I don't need to do here is rehash all of the obvious clues from an episode, we all know what they are. Understood? Let the fun begin! I'll only note things that I know come up as clues later, but need to be noted when they first show up and things I find that will be of importance.

Jughead.

Let's talk about LOST!   Jughead.

Desmond runs through a market place looking for Efren Salonga; the doctor. Philippine men are drinking and gambling. Money is changing hands.
The Doctor asks him “What’s the matter with you?"

Sign- MABUHAY.
Desmond and the Doctor run across a red dock back to the boat where Penny is losing a lot of blood; she is in labor.
Desmond tells her, “It’s OK. Just breathe.”
She is told to push. {What, the button?”  lol}
The Doctor uses forceps to deliver the baby boy.{Wrapped in a green towel w/stripes}

Night:
On a sailboat the golden curly haired boy listens to a story told by his father, Desmond.  “Look. Right out there. Beyond where you can see, there’s, there’s an island. And it’s a very special island. I left it a long time ago. I never thought I’d see it again. It’s called Great Britain. And The most beautiful part of the island is Scotland. And that’s where your daddy’s from. There’s mountains and glens and monsters and deep lochs and... It’s where your mommy and daddy fell in love.”
It’s also where he broke her heart.
Desmond wanted to leave out that bit and the bit about the boy’s grandfather who sent a boat to the island to kill all Daddy’s friends.
Desmond tells  Penny they’ll be in and out, “He’ll never know we were here, Penny.”
Penny’s concerned that Des may be underestimating Charles Widmore.
Desmond is on a mission that has nothing to do with Widmore. They are there because of Daniel Faraday. Faraday told Desmond that everyone on that island is in danger, and he’s the only one who can help him. {Watch Penny’s face.}
Desmond- “I have to do this Penny.”

On the jungle trek Miles tells him Sawyer said to meet at the creek. “Unless he got torched by a flaming arrow, that’s where he and everyone else should be.”
Charlotte is still suffering from a headache; she has dizziness and double vision. Dan is worried but tries to reassure her that he won’t let anything happen to her. They arrive at the creek.
Miles- “Some rendezvous, it’s just us.”
They should wait, the rest could be right behind them; or they came and left

Miles-“Or their dead.”
Dan tells Miles that kind of attitude is not exactly what they need right now, people are scared enough.   Something gets Miles’ attention. He spots a trip wireTwo castaways are walking near it. Miles tries to warn them not to move. It's too late. Boom! {Sounds like 6 explosions}

Out of the jungle come arrow wielding “soldiers”; they surround the three.  A small expressionless blond woman with a rifle asks Miles “Who’s in charge here?”

Miles says Dan is.
She says to Dan, “You just couldn’t stay away, could you?” {I love that we got her POV holding the rifle.}

On the docked boat we see Desmond’s reflection in the mirror. He puts his shoes on.
Penny enters to confirm that “he” finished his breakfast.  Penny says he put up a bit of a fight but listens in the end, “Unlike his father.”
Penny is troubled. Desmond tries to reassure her all he has to do is find "his" mother, tell her he’s still on the island, and then I’m done with this for good.”
Penny-“Why now? I mean, If he told you all this on the island why didn’t you remember it until two days ago.”
Desmond doesn’t understand how any of this works any more than she does.   He knows it happened. Daniel Faraday knocked on the hatch door, told him to go to Oxford, everyone was in danger and he was the only one who can help them. I know how insane it sounds.
He tells Penny he’ll be back by dark, “And then I’m done. Forever. I promise.”
They kiss. Penny asks if he can promise he’ll never go back to that island again.
Desmond- "Why in gods name would I wanna go back there?”

He leaves, leaving the door open. {Yep!}

Dan watches the “soldiers” pull the blown up guys out of the water. Miles and Charlotte are cuffed.
Ellie with the rifle questions them, “There were 20 of you at the beach, but only 5 of you here. Where are the rest of your people?”
Miles remarks that maybe they got blown up by some more of her land mines. She tells him they didn’t put them there, “You did.”
She explains to Dan, “Once they leave there I will be out of control of what happens to you. But if you cooperate now things will go much easier for you. So where are the rest of your people?”
He doesn’t know.

Sawyer, Locke and Juliet have two prisoners kneeling on the ground. {1 lays on the ground.}
Locke asks who these  people are. Sawyer sarcastically says he didn’t have time to ask that with Frogurt on fire and all.
Juliet tells him these people attacked them on the beach.
Locke notes, “This is a 30 caliber M1 Garand rifle. It looks new.”
Sawyer- Who cares about the rifle. Where the hell I've you been?”
Locke shares if he was going through what he’s been going through, the appropriate question would be “When the hell have I been?” {Locke thinks he’s the only one experiencing something?}

Sawyer asks about his leg.
Locke- “I got shot.”
Sawyer wonders “By who?”
Juliet conveniently interrupts Locke answering by saying they can swap stories later; they told the rest of their group they’d meet by the creek. “If there’s any chance of reconnecting with them, we better get moving.”
Sawyer suggests, seeing as they don’t have rope to tie up their prisoners, they’re gonna have to shoot them.

In Latin- Soldier 1-“Quare non sunt vestitus eis?” {Wherefore not are clothing these?}
Jones- “Tace!” {to be silent, say nothing, leave unmentioned, pass over}
John seems surprised.
Juliet says something in Latin back to them. {Wonder what is was…}
She interprets that one asks why they weren’t in uniform and the other told him to shut up. John asks her how they know how to speak Latin.
Juliet reveals it’s the same reason she knows how, “It’s because they’re Others.”

Ellie marches her troop and prisoners through the jungle.
Dan notices radiation burns on one of the men. {Left hand}
Something is grabbing Miles’ attention. Miles tells Dan they just walked over a fresh grave; Four U.S. Soldiers, dead just over a month. Three of them were shot; one died of radiation poisoning.
Dan looks confused. He asks Miles if any of them “happened to mention what year it is.” {Happen too?}

Ellie announces “We’re here.”
Tent City.

She calls out for Richard, “We’re back.”
Out of a tent emerges ageless Richard.
Ellie informs Richard she caught these three by the creek. This one’s their leader. {Dan }
Richard asks Dan his name, but Dan snaps back with, “What’s your name?”
Richard-“My name is Richard Alpert.”
Richard assumes Dan came back for his bomb.

The bells toll at Oxford. {3} {Lots of file boxes in this library!}
Desmond speaks to a woman with a British accent behind a desk. She does not find any record of any Faraday.
Desmond-“That’s impossible, ‘cause I know her son was a professor here.  His name’s Daniel Faraday. I’m sure his name’s in your database.”
The woman tells him there’s no record of any Faraday ever being employed here at Oxford.
Desmond, in his incognito sunglasses insists he visited him at his lab, “it was in an attic, it was above the physics department.”
The archives go back quite far, perhaps it was a clerical error. You don’t happen to recall what year it was in which you last visited?”
Desmond can’t recall.   She asks why he’s seeking this information.   He apologizes for wasting her time.
Desmond walks down the corridor and sees a sign, heads in.   He sees the “Danger tape” that is sealing off the room being fumigated and he breaks in. The room has indeed been locked down. Newspapers on the windows. He uncovers the chalk board and other items belonging to Dan.  He picks up a photograph of Dan and a blond woman; the glass is cracked. He uncovers the light contraption used to make Eloise’s conscious mind “travel in time.”
He uncovers the maze.
A janitor/custodian comes in; he wondered when someone would figure out we weren’t just fumigating. Then he asks Des if he’s a professor.
Desmond-“No. Not exactly.”
The janitor/custodian sees this as honesty. He doesn’t want Desmond to touch anything because he was the one who had to take the bloody maze running rats down to the incinerator, so that no one would find out what he was up to.
Desmond isn’t the first one to poke around for Daniel Faraday and his work. Rumor had it that he was trying to send rats brains back in time.
The janitor/custodian will forget Desmond broke his lock, if you tell your mates all you found was rubbish left behind by a madman.
Desmond questions why the University has no record of Faraday.
The custodian-“Can you blame them? I mean after what he done to that poor girl.”  {Oooooh.... What girl?!}

Back at tent city Miles, Dan and Charlotte are thrown into a tent.
Miles states “We are so dead.
Dan says they “are not SO dead. We are gonna be fine. We just need to keep it together until there’s another flash. Alright. And all this disappears.”
The next flash could be 5 minutes or 5,000 years. {Awesome!}
Charlotte wants to know what’s going on, “Why are they doing this to us?”
Dan-“They must think that we’re with the American military.”
If so, their best chance of staying alive is to let them keep thinking it.
Richard comes in speaks to Dan, “Ellie tells me you’re not willing to reveal where the rest of your squad is?”
Dan-“Why would I do that? So you can kill them too?”
Richard-“We didn’t start this, Friend. Your people attacked us. You come to our island to run your tests. You fire at us and what? You expect us to not defend ourselves?”
Dan doesn’t know anything about that; he insists, “We are scientists.”
Richard asks if they send him there to recover it.
Dan-“You mean our hydrogen bomb. Then yes. And I’m guessing from this man’s radiation burns that the housing has been compromised. Is that right?”
Dan tries to tell Richard that he has an unstable device, it’s capable of destroying the entire island and it’s broken. If you don’t allow me to render it inert all of us are gonna die. All of us.”
Richards' concerned that Dan could have been sent there on a suicide mission. He could take Dan out to the bomb and Dan would detonate it.
Dan wouldn't, “Because I’m in love with the woman sitting next to me.”
Dan would never do anything to hurt her.
This touches Richard and he gives permission to Dan to take care of his bomb, “If you try anything else, then you will hurt her.”

Locke looks at his compass as they march their prisoners through the jungle. Sawyer asks Juliet who taught her Latin.
Juliet smugly tells him “Others 101. Gotta learn Latin. Language of the enlightened.”
Sawyer- “Enlightened my ass.”
Locke suggests that the prisoners talk. “Once we meet up at the creek, and meet up with the rest of our people, there’s gonna be a lot of anger directed at you for attacking them."
The soldier Cunningham {American accent} tells Locke, the rest of your people are either captured or dead. Hmmm...What makes him say that, you ask. It’s because that idiot/Sawyer shouted out “Meet at the Creek. We knew exactly where they were headed. Sent a group after them.”
Sawyer-“Well maybe I should have said it in my secret language.”
Juliet hurries up to Cunningham and in Latin tells him “We’re not your enemy.”
He replies in Latin, “Then let us go.”
Sawyer wants to know what he’s saying. Juliet asks to be taken to their camp; she even asks if Richard Alpert is there.
Jones is concerned. And yes Locke, she asked for Richard Alpert.
Juliet again asks to be brought to their camp; and no one else has to die. Cunningham looks over at pissed off Jones.
Cunningham agrees to take them, “We need to head east another couple kilometers till we hit the ridge…”
Jones snaps Cunningham’s neck and makes a run for it! Sawyer tells Locke to shoot him!
Locke aims but can’t do it. Sawyer grabs the rifle and fires!

Missed!
Sawyer asks Locke if he’s crazy! Why didn’t he shoot him?
Locke couldn’t do it because, “He’s one of my people.”

Desmond in his incognito baseball cap and sunglasses, is looking for an address. He knocks on the door 3 times. {Properly using the door knocker, of course. Lol}
A British woman with blond short hair answers. {Abigail Spencer}
Desmond tells her he’s looking for Theresa Spencer; he’d like to have a word with her. He got her name from a gentleman he met at Oxford University; Daniel Faraday.
This intrigues Abigail, “ Daniel Faraday? Why didn’t you say so?” {He just fucking did!}
Abigail leads him through a sliding door into Theresa’s room.

Theresa is laid up in a hospital bed; monitor beeps. She’s is being spoon fed by an orderly. This takes Desmond by surprise.
Abby asks, “He didn’t tell you, did he?”
Des asks Abigail if Theresa can hear them.
Abigail- “No. Theresa’s away right now.”   Sometimes she wakes up, thinks she’s three, wants to know where her dolly is. Yesterday she was talking to our dad. He died five years ago.”
Desmond feels this was a mistake.
Abby gets an attitude "Of course. Why would you want to stay? Daniel certainly didn’t.”
She continues… He left her like this. Went running off to the states, never to be heard from again. He abandoned her. What kind of a man does that? She seriously wouldn’t know what to do if it wasn’t for Mr. Widmore, Daniel’s benefactor; he funded his research and he took responsibility for the result of it. He’s been taking care of Theresa ever since. Everything here is due to Mr. Widmore. God bless him.

Miles-“A hydrogen bomb. Seriously?”
Dan explains that back in the 50’s the U.S. Government tested H bombs in the South Pacific. Lucky us.
Charlotte tells Dan he didn’t have to profess his love for her, “There were plenty of other ways you could have convinced them you weren’t gonna blow up the entire island.”
Dan meant what he said.
Expressionless gun toting Ellie enters to retrieve Dan. She takes his pack; Dan promises to be back soon. Charlotte gets teary.

Richard unwraps Dan's “cuffed” hands, “Whatever your uh superiors told you, I want you to know the truth. A month ago we found 18 members of an army battalion right here, in our jungle here, setting up this camp. We gave them the opportunity to leave the island peacefully. They weren’t willing to do that so, I was forced to kill um. All of them.”
Dan wants to know who he was forced by.
Richard-“You answer to someone don’t you? You follow a chain of command. Right?”
Yep!
So does Richard.
Jones calls out to Richard and tells him, “ A group of them surprised us.”

They were outnumbered but he escaped.
Ellie-“Outnumbered, eh?”
Jones tells her to shut up. Richard shares with Jones that Dan is going to help them with their problem.
Jones feels he’s “one of them. You can’t trust him.”
But Richard sends Dan and Ellie on their way. Richard asks Jones how he escaped.
Jones-"I ran.". {And I Ran so far away. I just ran. Ran both night and day….Oh! Sorry. Now that damn Flock of Seagulls song is in my head!!}

Richard wonders if it ever occurred to Jones that they might follow him.
Jones doesn’t seem to think they would, “Their leader is some sodding old man. What? You think he can track me? You think he knows this island better than I do?”

Locke and Juliet look down at tent city. Locke asks her how she knew Richard would be there. Juliet mentions Richard has “always been here.”
Locke asks “How old is he?”
Juliet-“Old.”
She asks why he’s so interested in Richard.   It’s because Richard was about to tell John how he can save “us.”
Juliet-“Save us?”   {WTF? Doesn’t she want to be saved?}
Locke goes on to say that before Richard could finish they were interrupted by that flash of light; and he’s hoping they can pick up where they left off. {Watch Juliet}
Sawyer busts up a “I’m an Other, You’re an Other reunion” to tell them Faraday, the guy that’s actually gonna save us, is being death marched into the jungle right now.”
Locke-“Good luck with that.”
John isn’t going to help Sawyer save Dan, he’s going to finish his conversation with Richard.
Sawyer-“That’s gonna get us all killed. You go rolling in there, they’re gonna know we’re here.”
Fair enough; John will give him 10 minutes head start.
Sawyer asks Juliet if she wants to stay there in Crazy Town or help him rescue the geek.

Ellie asks Dan why he keeps looking at her. Apparently he feels she “looks so much like someone I used to know.”
Ellie-“Some one other than the girl you just professed your love for? Well aren’t you the Romeo?”
Dan-“Far from it. Believe me.”
By the way, she doesn’t believe him. He may have Richard fooled but he can’t expect her to believe he, a British woman and a Chinese man are all members of the Unites States Military.
Ellie-“Who are you? And what are you doing on our island?”
Dan tells Ellie that he’s her best chance at disarming that bomb.
So, disarm it.
Dan sees the bomb hanging like a pendulum. He examines the hanging bomb, named Jughead. {Complete with it’s Trigger control panel.} He discovers its seeping some substance.  He hurries away from it. He warns Ellie to get back, it’s unsafe; they need to move. Ellie warns him if he tries anything…like shoot him.
Dan explains that would be perfect because rifle fire right next to “what would you call this, hydrogen bomb”, fantastic idea, “Really inspired.”
He asks if her people have access to lead or concrete.
Dan explains, “There’s a crack in the casing, it needs to be filled with lead, taken off the platform carefully and bury it. If they do what he says and bury it, it won’t go off.
Dan needs her to trust him. He insists they must bury it and everything will be fine, “Remember your superior ordered me to take care of this.”

Apparently the way to take care of this bomb is you bury it. Dan knows so much about this because “50 years from now this island is still here.”
Ellie cocks the rifle and aims it at him. His remark shocks her. Dan can explain himself better. “50 years from now, me and my, me and my friends, that’s where we’re from, OK? And here’s the key, every thing’s fine. I’m not saying it’s perfectly fine, but there hasn’t been any atomic blasts. Alright.”
Sawyer sneaks up behind Ellie and demands she drop the gun. Neither Sawyer nor Ellie will drop their guns.
Juliet, with a knife says, “Why don’t we all put our guns down?”
Sawyer makes Ellie “drop it!” And he sees the hanging bomb, “Son of a bitch.”
Ellie-“Are they from the future too?”
Sawyer asks Dan, “You told her?”
Desmond steps off an elevator and charges right into Widmore’s office. {Namaste painting and the sail boat is on Widmore’s right side} Widmore tells Melanie it’s OK as Mr. Hume is a colleague of his. He also holds off a bodyguard.
Alone with Widmore, Desmond says he won’t answer the questions that Widmore has for him. Desmond is there to ask him a question and once he has the answer Widmore will never see him again. Understand. Desmond needs to know where he can find Daniel Faraday’s motha. {LOL!}
Widmore asks what makes Desmond think he knows where she is. Desmond calls him out on knowing he funded Faraday’s research, “So I figured you must know something regarding his next of kin.”
Widmore says he hasn’t seen or heard from his daughter for three years, “just answer me this…Is she safe?”
Desmond just replies with “Where’s Faraday’s motha?”

Widmore takes an address book out of a box. He tells Desmond she’s in L.A., and writes down her address and hands it to him. He also suspects she won’t be pleased to see him, as she is a very private person.
Before Desmond can leave Widmore stops him, “Deliver your message, but then get out of this mess. Don’t put Penny’s life in danger….You getting yourself involved in something that goes back many, many years it has nothing to do with you or my daughter. Where ever you were hiding, go back there.”
Desmond thanks him for the advice

Locke marches right into tent city and calls out for Richard Alpert. He tells Jones he’s looking for Richard. Locke continues calling out for Richard. Jones pulls the rifle on Locke to stop him.
Richard asks Locke Who are you?”
Locke-“My name is John Locke.”
Richard-“Is that supposed to mean something to me?”
Locke-“Jacob sent me.”
With that Richard tells Widmore to put the gun down. Locke turns to the kid, “Your name is Widmore? Charles Widmore?”
This pleases Locke.
Penny is in the boat cabin telling her son a story about a bear. Desmond returns. Penny shares she and Charlie had a good day; he wanted to go fishing in the Themes, they were unsuccessful.
Desmond lies to Penny about finding Faraday’s mum, “There was no one to find. She died a few years ago.”
Penny asks why he’s lying to her, “Where is she?”
Des confesses she’s in L.A..
This worries Penny.
Desmond reassures her this was a mistake. He promised her it would be done in a day, and now it’s done. It’s not our problem anymore.”
Penny wonders ” And what happens if you wake up tomorrow and remember something else? And the next day?”
Desmond-“I’ll forget it! It doesn’t matter Pen. You’re my life now. You and Charlie…I won’t leave you again. Not for this. Not for anything.”
Penny tells him he’ll never forget it, “So I guess we’re going with you.” {Permission granted!
They hug.

Richard holds the compass that Locke tells him he gave to him after Locke got shot in the leg and Richard wandered out of the jungle to patch him up.

Richard wonders why he doesn’t remember any of it.
John tells because it hasn’t happened yet. Richard chuckles. Locke expects Richard to tell him how to get off the island
Richard-“That’s very privileged information. Why would I share that with you?”
Locke-“Because you told me I had something very important to do once I get there. And because I’m your leader.”
Richard questions that, “Well I certainly don’t want to contradict myself but, we have a very specific process for selecting our leadership. And it starts at a very, very young age.”
Locke asks him “What year is right now?”
It’s 1954.
Locke tells him May 30th 1956, two years from now, that’s the day I’m born. Tustin, California. If Richard doesn’t believe him he suggests he go and visit him
Locke starts to realize the light is changing, triggering a flash, “Oh no. It’s happening again.”   {He grabs his head}

Locke needs Richard to tell him how to get off the island now! “Please tell me!
"FLASH!!!"
John is alone in empty Richard-less tent city.
Sawyer, Juliet, Dan, Charlotte and Dan apparently experienced the flash. Dan and Charlotte are very happy to see each other. Dan unbinds her hands. Charlotte gets dizzy and starts bleeding from her nose; she faints

Dan is upset.

Jughead is a great episode!
Since the very beginning events seem scripted, written out.  Similar dialog is repeated by various "characters" over and over and over again. Point blank, I sometimes feel like there is a basic outlined "script" involved.   Is it possible Other's are really supplementary beings, there to fill in the gaps or fill certain roles. Don't you ever feel like it's a living breathing game?

Things to note…Questions to ask
* Ellie seems almost robotic. Does she have a heart?
* Ellie is a form of the name Elizabeth
* Richard is wearing street clothes similar to what he’s worn before.
* Fumigating...For BUGS…Rats…Aliens????? Computer
* Testing bombs…I wonder if it creates mutant people/creatures. “Muahahaha”
* Dan professes his love for Charlotte. In what capacity does he love her? Lover, Husband, Brother, Father?
* Desmond is the only one who can help Faraday’s people. John bringing Jack and the rest of the Oceanic 6 back will save the island. Are these "missions" one in the same?
* Charlie Pace’s dad chopped heads off dollies.  Jack found dollies in the fresh water in the cave.

* Latin is the language of the enlightened and the ancients (Rome) and Doctors take Latin courses. Here they speak Vulgar Latin. Also, Tagalog language.
* Where/how did Richard’s people live before tent city.
* Widmore pays for Theresa's care. Christian pays for Mrs. Littleton’s care.
* The Bomb.
* Widmore is an Other living in the outside world.
* Theresa falls up the stairs….Boone. And Teresa Cortez, Anna Lucia’s mother.
* The name Jacob got Richards' attention.
* Richard knew in 'Because you left', that it would be the “next time” he saw John he wouldn’t remember him. Richard implied that he's not "going anywhere", John is. {in the Flashes}
* Juliet steers conversations. She knows too much.
* Flashes occur when “triggers” happen.
* Flashes are random in time. What determines where time ends up or how it’s supposed to get back to proper time?
* Charlotte has the same symptoms that Claire had on the beach when Ben activated an implant.
* Was Charles Widmore banished from the island or left on his own?
* Richard admits there’s a way to get to and from the island and it's privileged info. If its so secret, how come so many people end up there?
* Is the Flashing tied to the dream Locke had about Horace chopping down the tree on a loop? "Time skipping", doing things over and over, or just a hint to a bug in the system? Glitch.
* US Military knife- Goodwin had one.
* If the "Island" heals why are there dead people?  Does it only heal certain people or no one at all?
* Paradox
* The Oxford Physics Department is housed in Clarendon laboratory, not "Claredon" as shown.
* Dan needs to render the bomb inert. Same thing with the gas over at the Tempest with the gas.
* Arrows….Darts
* Dates regarding John Locke birth: John Locke in Further instructions…Papers-Johnathan Locke, San Francisco Ca, DOB 11/15/1946.   His driver's license DOB 3/30/56
* In Jughead John Locke's DOB 5/30/56
* Duex Ex Machina Emily’s DOB 10/15/40
* The song “everyday” was recorded on May 29, 1957 and released on September 29, 1957.

    Vocabulary and Research...
    * Mabuhay- Tagalog language of the Philippines.
    * Forsythe Pendleton "Jughead" Jones III of the Archie comics. {lineage}
    * The Creek mythology is related to an American Indian Creek people who are originally from the southeastern United States, also known by their original name Muscogee. The Creek believe that the world was originally entirely underwater. The first people were the offspring of Sister Sun and the Horned Serpent. These first two Creeks were Lucky Hunter and Corn Woman, denoting their respective roles in Creek Society.
    * Recollection is the retrieval, or recall, of memory, may be employed to make the best use of memory. Various means, including met cognitive strategies, priming and measures of retention.
    * Priming in psychology refers to a finding in which exposure to a stimulus at time 1 influences responding to a related stimulus at time 2. One theory of priming is that exposure at time 1 activates parts of particular representation or associations in memory just before carrying out an action or task. The representation is already activated at time 2, reducing the time required to execute the response. It is considered to be one of the manifestations of implicit memory. A property of priming is that the remembered item is remembered best in the form in which it was originally encountered, a feature of context-dependent memory or more precisely, transfer appropriate processing.

      I loved this episode. It answered a few things for me, but still kept me cautious on a couple of other implications.  I've been asked over the past week if I though Desmond and Penny's baby “Charlie” is Charlie Pace…This one of the issues I have with "time travel" ...If baby "Charlie" is the son of Desmond, remember, Desmond used Charlie and put him in danger, ultimately he died!  And if they're in a loop Desmond would have done that particular action more than once. So, no, I don't think it's Charlie Pace.
      The issues with blood relations being involved in a time traveling loop can become very tricky.  The whole "Grandfather paradox" type issues would come into play.   Maybe baby "Charlie" is just named after Charles Dickens who happens to be Desmond's favorite author.
      If we're talking about the "conscious mind traveling" is it really traveling, transcending the vastness of time and space.   If it's the conscious mind, how is everyone having physical contact with each other?   Maybe I'm wrong, but wouldn't said "traveler" only be able to be an observer in the Flashes?  The conscious mind deals with memory, recall, thoughts, perception, etc..

      Could we be seeing the manifestation of the traditional "time travel" problems, as with the "grandfather paradox"?   What about the randomness of the "times" landed in?   I'm not sure.
      I know I am trying very hard to connect the "time traveling" dots at this point and to find a link to connect the rest of the clues that are indeed there.  Honestly I feel like there's a major connection to a computer, altered states of consciousness and of course, a game.

      But I am more confidant with the "lineage" thread of our story.   A species of beings working on keeping the family line alive.   Is the "lineage" thread literal or symbolic/metaphoric?   Or are these namesakes just proxies, stand-ins or something more like body doubles?  Maybe they're just friggin bots!  Whether it's an ancient family line, a new family line, or a special bred/created line, it needs to keep a presence on the "Island".

      Love to all who are "LOST"

      Disclaimer: I never claim to know everything about the show and my thoughts by no means make me right! The things I share here are my views and/or opinions. I don't claim to catch every single detail either! You all know I hate spoilers! And I stand clear of reading certain sites as to not take me off my own course of research. The one thing I don't need to do here is rehash all of the obvious clues from an episode, we all know what they are. Understood? Let the fun begin! I'll only note things that I know come up as clues later, but need to be noted when they first show up and things I find that will be of importance.

      The Lie.

      Let's talk about LOST! The Lie

      Three Years Ago:

      Frank takes two bottles of brew from the fridge (Skulls). Up on deck of The Searcher, Hurley is heard saying, “Dude, they’ll find out.”
      Jack tries to convince him, “Not if we stick to the story.”
      Sayid doesn’t know, “It could be a risk.”
      Jack insists it’s the only way they have to do this. Kate holds Aaron. Wobbly Frank hands Desmond one of the bottles and asks him, “They’re still at it, huh?”
      Jack tells the group that they’re running out of time; they need to make a
      decision now.
      Frank cools his neck with the bottle.
      Jack wonders if they’re all Okay with this. Sayid feels this is a decision that will affect the rest of their lives; he’s not taking it lightly.
      Jack makes the rounds asking if everyone is “in”. He even apologizes to Frank for getting dragged into this, but he still needs to know if he’s with them.
      Frank will roll with whatever they decide.
      Jack asks Hurley, “What about you?”
      Hurley- “I don’t we should lie, Dude.”
      Jack tells him they have to protect the people, “we left behind,Hurley.”
      Kate and Sun are shown. In a subtle manner Sun reacts to Jack’s statement. Desmond and Penny sit with the group.
      Hurley wonders how lying protects them.
      Jack-"It protects them from Charles Widmore…The guy hired a boat load of people to kill all of us. He faked a plane crash, you think telling him the truth, he’s just gonna, he’s gonna leave them alone?"
      Hurley turns to Penny and asks, “Look. He’s your dad, right? Can’t you, like, call him off?” {Like a dog?}
      Penny informs Hurley there’s no calling her father off.
      Hurley- “But, he’ll never find them. The Island disappeared. It’s gone. We all saw it. Bloop.”
      Jack implies no one would believe any of that; they’d think Hurley was crazy. Hurley feels they would be believed if someone backs him up.
      He reaches out for Sayid’s support. “Sayid, come on. They’ll think I’m nuts if I tell the truth, but what if we all do? And if we can stick together, they can make them believe us.”
      Hurley doesn’t want to spend the rest of his life lying. Neither does Sayid; but he doesn’t believe they have a better choice.
      Sayid-“I’m sorry Hurley, but we have to lie.”
      This upsets Hurley, “You know what, Dude? I’m gonna remember this. And someday you’re gonna need my help and I’m telling ya right now, you’re not gettin' it.

      Daylight:
      Hurley speeds away with a sleeping Sayid in the blue SUV. He tries to “wake up” Sayid as he’s driving. In the erratic driving he tries to put on Sayid’s seatbelt. Hurley knocks over a bunch of trash. There’s a lot of eye blinking (open/close).
      A police car siren from behind prompts him to pull over. Hurley frantically asks  sleeping   Sayid, “No. no, no, no, no! What do I do?”
      He’s panicking, shaking sleeping Sayid and asks “What am I supposed to do?”
      Hurley pulls over. {4DOQ678} Part of a cop is seen in side view mirror. Hurley closes his eyes and tells himself to stay calm.
      Three knocks on the window; Hurley rolls it down.
      Anna Lucia removes her sunglasses, “What the hell were you thinking?
      Hurley’s a bit stunned.
      Anna tells him he was driving like a maniac, “And why’d you pull over? “
      Hurley stumbles over his words, “I just thought…”
      Anna- “You didn’t think. What if I were real? What if a real cop stopped you? They already have pictures of you covered in blood with a gun in your hand.”
      He tells her it's ketchup.
      Anna-“Bro. You need to pull it together.You’ve got a lot of work to do.
      He does?
      Anna starts with the basics. “First off you need new clothes. Then you need to go to a safe place and take Sayid to somebody you trust. You getting all this?” {She literally shoved him.} Hurley gets it. Ana tells him to get to it, and stay away from the cops. She points her finger right at him, “Do not get arrested.
      Hurley thanks Anna Lucia.
      Anna puts on her sunglasses turns to Hurley and says, “Oh yeah. Libby says hi.”
      Hurley looks in the side view mirror, the cop car  is gone.
      Sayid slept through the whole visit. Hurley takes Anna Lucia’s recommendations.

      Back at the beach Bernard and Rose bicker over the correct way to start a fire. {Don’t they know how to start a fire by now?}
      Rose likes the rubbing two sticks together technique. Bernie’s tool looks more like a bow (bow and arrow).
      Frogurt in his red shirt, doesn’t care about building a fire; he’s concerned about the sky lighting up. Rose explains they are trying to focus on what they can control; he should either help or be quiet.
      Vincent is there.
      Frogurt gives Sawyer his plaid shirt; since they’re/he’ll be dead by sundown and won’t need it. Frogurt wants to be called Neil.
      Juliet fiddles with the zodiac raft. She explains the convenience of the raft not disappearing with the time jumping due to the fact that “whatever they had it with them when they moved was a long for the ride.” (Pretty friggin convenient! Then why doesn’t the tents and everything else count?}
      Look whose back! Dan strolls out of the jungle and he hugs Charlotte.

      Sawyer welcomes Dr. Wizard back.
      Miles corrects him, “I think it’s Mr. Wizard.”
      Sawyer wants to know what Dan was up to for the two hours he was gone.
      Dan says he “was really lost.
      Dan doesn’t know when the sky’s gonna light up again. Sawyer asks if he at least has a plan.
      Juliet interjects, “I think we should take the zodiac, head to a shipping lane.”
      No, they can’t just sail out into any course. For them to leave Dan needs to calculate a new bearing. To do this he needs to determine “where” they are now in time. Miles is going to find them something to eat.
      Juliet-“I guess we’ll get the water.

      {Shhhhh}
      Hurley throws water in Sayid’s face in an effort to wake him up. He fears he can’t do this on his own. Sayid does not wake up. Hurley borrows some money from Sayid’s wallet. He puts a pair of sunglasses on the sleeping Sayid, “Wait right here.”
      Inside the convenience store Hurley shops for new clothes. {I love my Wirehaired. Cheap Trick’s Dream Police plays in the background, “…They’re looking for me. Every single night. They’re driving me insane. Those men inside my brain….”}
      Hurley purchases a I HEART MY Shih-Tzu' tee shirt.
      The female clerk behind the counter notes his appearance, “Rough night?”
      Yeah.
      She notes his wasted friend in the car. The girl thinks Hurley looks familiar. Hurley feels he just has one of those faces.
      She says he’s lying.
      Hurley-“I don’t believe in lying.
      The girl behind the register/counter remembers him as the lottery winner and guy who crashed in that plane. She’d like for him to purchase a ticket so that if he wins again they would get a commission. “Good luck.
      The Action 8 News is on the TV behind her. Hurley hurries out of there; tells her to “Keep the change.”
      Back in the car, Sayid still sleeps.
      Hurley, sporting his new tee shirt tells sleeping Sayid, “We’re out of here.”
      He drives through/between the “SELF gas pumps of the station and leaves.
      He just misses Kate pulling in.

      Kate turns off the car and takes her sunglasses off. She is troubled. Kate looks at a map.
      Aaron’s in the backseat coloring,“Mommy, I wanna go home.”

      Kate- “Look at your book, baby.”
      She pulls up Jack Shephard 323-555-0156 (Contact) on her cell phone {Note search JA} she decides not to make the call. Her phone rings. As per her side of the conversation with the unknown caller, “I can’t believe it’s you.”
      She and Aaron are going to meet a friend in L.A..

      Ben unscrews the AC duct to retrieve something wrapped in plaid he’s been hiding there. He packs it in a duffle bag. {It looks like the same plaid shirt we see on "the island"}
      Jack, clean shaven and in a suit, exits the bathroom searching for his pills. Ben took the liberty of flushing them down the toilet for him. Jack lies saying he was going to do that. You can see Jack needs the pills.
      Ben tells Jack that he’s checking out.
      Jack-“Where are we going?
      Ben- “You’re going home. And find yourself a suitcase, if there’s anything in this life you want, pack it in there, because you’re never coming back.”
      Jack- “Good.
      Ben will pick him up in six hours. He informs Jack that John’s casket is outside in a carpet van, “I need to move it somewhere safe.
      Jack- “Safe? He’s dead, isn’t he?”
      Ben- “I’ll see you in six hours, Jack.” {Good answer!}

      Mr. Reyes makes an interesting sandwich; pepperoni and caviar. A green bottled drink completes his meal. He sits in a cozy chair and watches Expose.
      The background dialog: “It looks like the scorpion is taking over all Cobras' business. You want me to work with Tsunami the Dragon Lady of Van Nuys…..I’m here to capture the Scorpion. If you’ve got a problem with that you can go work stage 3...”.
      There’s frantic knocking at the back glass slider door.   It’s casual Hurley carrying sleeping Sayid. Hurley asks if Dad’s seen the news. Dad hasn’t; he just got up. and mom’s out shopping.
      They lay Sayid on the red couch. Dad/Dave checks Sayid’s eyes and confirms, “Oh man. He’s out.”
      Concerned that Sayid may not be breathing, dad checks him. Sayid is barely breathing, but alive. Hurley explains Sayid was shot by a dart.
      Dave- “A dart? What were you in the zoo or something?”
      Hurley- “No. We were at the safe house."
      Dad- “THE SAFE HOUSE?!”
      Hugo explains Sayid took him there to protect him, then the two guys jumped out, shot him with darts and now, “He’s in a coma or something.”
      Dave feels this doesn’t make sense, “What are you doing out of the mental institution?”
      Hurley- “Sayid pulled me out!
      He shares they’re both in danger; but doesn't know from whom. The front gate calls up to the house; it’s the L.A. P.D. They want Mr. Reyes to open the gate.    Dad wants to know what kind of trouble he's in. Dave covers for Hurley but wants the truth in return.   Hurley watches the cops and his father chat from behind glass panes in a door. {Yellow/ red/orange}
      The two men leave a "calling" card with Dave and leave.
      Dave questions Hurley, “You killed three people?”
      Nope, Sayid did.
      Sayid sleeps on the pool table.
      Hurley proclaims, “He saved me.”
      Dave suggests they call a lawyer; as they move sleeping Sayid to the couch. Hurley feels they can’t go public because someone is after them; although Hurley doesn’t know who.
      But Sayid knows, “He can explain.”
      They drop sleeping Sayid on the red couch. Obviously Sayid isn’t explaining anything. Dave feels they need to get Sayid to a hospital.
      Hurley’s upset, “Did you not hear me?! People are trying to kill us.
      If we go to a hospital, they’ll find us! …like the Godfather. It’s the last place you go, everyone knows it! They smother you with pillows, and make it look like an accident.
      He tries to shake Sayid awake  again.
      Dad knows the shaking isn’t going to work, “We need a doctor.”
      Hurley-“I think I know what to do.”

      Elevator doors open; Kate and Aaron get on at L.
      Aaron asks “Mommy, can I push the button?
      Kate-“Sure you can Sweetie. We’re going all the way to the top, Okay. So I want you to press 3-1. {31 floors. No smoking} There's total excitement over the button pushing accomplishment of this golden child.   Arriving at their destination, Kate rings the doorbell. Sun answers.

      A female butcher chops meat in the shop. Ben enters and takes a “number” from the “next customer” caller. {342} The lady butcher, Jill, says hello to Ben, “If it’s a Porterhouse you're looking for, we’re out.”
      No, no Porterhouse. He does however have something very important in his van and he needs her to watch it for him. Curious Jill wonders, “Is it what I think it is?”
      Yep.
      Jill assures “He’ll be safe with me.”
      Ben asks if Gabriel and Jeffery checked in yet.
      Jill tells him yes; everything is moving right on schedule.
      Jill-“How’s it going with Shephard?”
      Ben- “He’s with us.
      Jill’s a bit shocked and wonders if Ben bribed him with some pills. Ben defensively says, “Cut the man some slack. He’s been through a lot. We all have.
      Of course they have. Jill apologizes.
      Ben tells her to “Keep him safe, Jill. Because if you don’t everything we’re about to do won’t matter at all.”

      Night:
      Bernard is still at it with his “bow” to start a fire.   Sawyer looks annoyed. Vincent sits.
      Dan sits away from the group.
      Finally, Bernard ignites a flame and then inadvertently blows it out. Rose is pissed. Annoying Frogurt asks “I thought you said you knew how to start a fire.”
      Rose has words with Neil and tells him he needs to take a “time out.”
      Bratty Frogurt huffs away. Rose supports Bernard in another fire attempt.

      Charlotte brings Dan fruit she found in the jungle. Dan quickly picks up his notebook and tool; pretending like he’s in the middle of working on something. {Which he wasn’t} There were only two pieces of fruit in the jungle. {lol}
      Charlotte can’t shake her bloody headache. She also reveals that her memory is fading. She shares with Dan that couldn’t remember her mother’s maiden name. Dan tells her they’ve all been under a lot of stress.
      Charlotte- “Daniel. Do you know what’s happening to me?
      Miles comes out of the jungle announcing “Dinner is served.”
      He found a three hour old dead boar. Miles asks who has a knife. Frogurt sarcastically answers back, “….You need a knife. It’s over by the Cuisinart next to the stove.”
      Miles asks what his problem is.
      Frogurt’s problem is they don’t have a knife; they don’t have anything. And it wouldn’t even matter if we did 'cause Bernie the Dentist can’t even start a fire.”
      Sawyer tells Frogurt to ease up.
      Frogurt insists it Neil, “You inbred. And I’m not gonna ease up!”
      Because he’s tried, hungry and they’re all screwed. {Sounds like a bratty kid!} Juliet tells him to calm down, they’ll get through this.
      Frogurt’s freaking out, “How are any of us gonna get through this. Didn’t you hear what I just said?! WE CAN’T EVEN GET FIRE!”
      Frogurt, literally on cue, gets shot with a flaming arrow.
      Flaming arrows rain down on the beach.  The rest run for safety.   Charlotte falls and Dan helps her up.
      Juliet frantically tries to put the flame out on a man who was shot. Sawyer tells her he’s dead {She says No}. They run, but she wants to go back to that guy. {Why did she want to help this dude so badly?} There’s nothing she could have done. {The beach now has plenty of fire.}

      Hurley looks out the window. He sees that the cops are on a stakeout.
      Dave-“You just escaped from a mental institution! There’s dead bodies everywhere! Of course they’re on a stakeout! They think you’re crazy enough to come back home.”
      Dad asks Hurley if he's crazy. Dad feels either he is crazy or he’s lying to him.
      Hurley reveals he’s not crazy and he has “a really good reason I’m lying to you.”
      Why?
      Mrs. Reyes loudly asks “Why’s there a dead Pakistani on my couch?”
      He’s not dead, although he appears to her to not be breathing. Hurley freaks out! Dave tells Carmen it’s okay, they have a plan.
      Hurley checks Sayid; he’s kind of breathing. Carmen wants to know why Hurley's all over the news. Hurley promises to her that every thing’s gonna make sense.
      Mom tells him it better!

      Mr. Reyes drives down the road right past the officers. {Camaro in garage.}

      Kate pours tea for Sun. Sun is in L.A. on business. Sun shows Kate a photo of infant Ji Yeon.; she’s with her grandmother in Seoul.
      Aaron sleeps on the couch. Sun would like Kate to meet her. It would be nice to see Ji Yeon and Aaron play together.
      Troubled Kate tells Sun, ”Somebody knows we’re lying.”
      Kate shares the story about the two men who came to her house asking for a blood sample for paternity.
      Sun asks who the lawyers represent. Kate doesn’t know who their client is.
      Sun-“Then they’re not interested in exposing the lie.” Because if they were, they would just do it; they wouldn’t go to her in private.
      Sun- “They don’t care that we’re lying. They just want Aaron.”
      Sun advises she “take care of them.”
      Sun-“Wouldn’t you do anything you had to in order to keep Aaron?”
      Kate-“What kind of a person do you think I am?”
      We "Flash" to Kate offering to retrieve Jin on the freighter and Jack preventing Kate from doing so.
      Sun-“The kind of person who makes hard decisions. Like you did on the freighter.”
      Kate did what she had to do. If Kate hadn’t, they probably all would have died instead of just her husband. Sun doesn’t blame Kate.
      Sun wonders, “So. How’s Jack?”

      Mr. Reyes tells Jack, “Hugo said I can trust you.”
      Dave pulls back a colorful blanket/carpet to reveal sleeping Sayid. He tells Jack Sayid got hit with some dart, “Must have been some drugs or something.” {Really?!}
      Dad informs Jack that Hurley’s at their house, “freaking out.”
      The two men move Sayid to Jack’s car so he can take him to the hospital.
      Concerned Dave tells Jack, “No. Hugo said whoever did this will come back after him."
      Professional Jack insists he will do what’s best for Sayid.
      Dave says fine, but in return after all this is over he’s to stay away from Hugo. “Whatever it is you talked him into, something tells me you don’t have his best interest at heart. So stay away from my son.” {Jack is showing signs of needing a fix.}

      Jack pulls up to the hospital with Ben on the cell phone.
      Jack-“You’ll never guess who just showed up at my door.”
      TADA….Sayid!

      Carmen asks Hugo, “Who is Sayid? I thought he was your friend.” {Gives him a bottled drink.} Sayid is his friend, but he’s got this double life where he does crazy Ninja moves and spy stuff; but Sayid’s a good guy.
      Mom reminds him a good guy doesn’t kill any men. Carmen tells Hugo he’s in terrible trouble. If the news thinks he did this, then everyone does. She asks why this is happening. How could anybody want to hurt him. She wants the truth.
      Hugo breaks,“We lied, Ma….All of us. The Oceanic 6, we lied about what happened after the crash.”
      Carmen asks what did happen.
      Hugo- “Okay. See we did crash. But it was on this crazy island. And we waited for rescue and there wasn’t any rescue. And then there was a smoke monster. And there were other people on the island, we call them the Others, and they started attacking us. And we found some hatches, and there was a button you had to push every 108 minutes or… well I was never really clear on that. But, the Others didn’t have anything to do with the hatches, that was the Dharma Initiative. They’re all dead, the Others killed them, and now they’re trying to kill us. And then we teamed up with the Others because some worse people coming on a freighter. Desmond’s girlfriend's father sent them to kill us. So we stole their helicopter and we flew it to their freighter, but it blew up and we couldn’t go back to the island because it disappeared. So then we crashed in the Ocean and we floated there for a while until a boat came and picked us up. And by then there were 6 of us. That part was true. But the..but the rest of the people, who were on the plane. They’re still on that island.”
      Carmen believes him, but she doesn’t understand him.
      He tells her a lot of people died and now this bad stuff is happening because…”well, um, we shouldn’t have lied.”

      In the dark Sawyer gets something jammed in his bare foot. They should keep moving as they have to hook up with everybody at the creek.
      Juliet-“It’s a long creek James. Which part?”
      The wet part of course! He’s sorry his plan isn’t up to Other’s stan….
      They hear/see people walking in the dark jungle.
      Sawyer asks Juliet, “Who are those people? Are they yours? Did they shoot the arrows?”
      Juliet- “I don’t know. You want me to crawl out there and ask them?”
      They are grabbed by the armed people!
      Jones demands to know, “What are you doing on our island?

      Jack puts Sayid in a treatment room at the hospital. {Oxygen tank shows #’s 2 4 6 8 10 12 15} Jack puts ECG leads on Sayid's chest and tries to revive him.   He gives him a shot but nothing’s bringing him back to being conscious. Jack flashes the light in Sayid's eyes. That does the trick in bringing Sayid back!
      Sayid jolts awake and impulsively chokes Jack. The choking stops.
      Jack pours some cold water and tells Sayid he’s fine and in the hospital, “Hurley’s father brought you to me. Sayid, you’ve been attacked.”
      Sayid is concerned about Hurley and who else might know that he’s with the parents at their house.

      A sleeveless hot pocket is cooking in the microwave.   Ben surprises Hugo with a visit. Ben just appears!
      Startled Hugo throws the hot pocket at him. Hugo’s freaking! Ben is there because he knows he’s in trouble. The police didn’t see him come in.{Some stakeout, huh?!} Ben can get him out of there.
      Hugo shares that Sayid warned him about Ben.
      Ben tries to convince him to go with him to Jack and Sayid. “How else would I know that they’re together?”
      Hugo- “No. You’re playing one of your mind games. They’d never trust you.”
      Ben agrees in their defense, “I’m not an easy person to trust. But they came around when they realized that we all want the same thing…..To go back to the island. Come with us Hugo. And this will be over. You can stop hiding. You can stop worrying about the stories and the deceptions. If you come with me, you won’t ever have to lie again. Please, let me help you.”
      Hugo- “Never, Dude.”
      Hugo runs away from Ben purposely into the waiting arms of the police. He confesses to the murder of four people, uh three people. He just wants to get out of there. Hugo smirks.

      Jones wants to know “What you’re doing? How many there are? And how you got here.”
      Jones tells Sawyer to tell him everything or he’ll cut off her other hand. The first one/hand isn’t negotiable; it’s just to illustrate how serious he is.
      Sawyer tells him to chill out, “We’re not supposed to be here. Something’s happening to the island, there are these flashes.“
      As they near cutting off Juliet’s hand, Sawyer says he’ll tell them whatever they want to know. Sawyer and Juliet over take them; a knife is thrown!
      There’s Locke, “James. Juliet. Nice to see ya.”

      We discover Mrs. Hawking is working on equations on a chalk board. A pendulum swings back and forth. An old Computer beeps. {Dharma notebooks on shelf}
      Upstairs in a church, Ben lights candles.
      She’s had luck.
      Ben explains to her he’s having some difficulty. Hawking informs Ben he only has 70 hours. Ben feels that’s not enough time; but 70 is what he’s got. Ben’s concerned because he lost Reyes tonight., “So what happens if I can’t get them all to come back?"
      Mrs. Hawkings- “Then god help us all.

      Vocabulary and Research...
      Dramaturgy: is a sociological perspective stemming from symbolic interactionism. I don’t do this, but this is too interesting to not pass along, and it was too much for me to transcribe…Head to this link:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belief_(sociology)#Performance
      Blue: is a color. Blue can be a state of mind.
      - In Hinduism, Blue is used to symbolically represent the fifth, throat chakra. Many of the gods are depicted as having blue-colored skin, particularly those associated with Vishnu, who is said to be the Preserver of the world and thus intimately connected to water.
      -The Missing Shade of Blue is an example introduced by the Scottish philosopher David Hume to show that it is at least conceivable that the mind can generate an idea without first being exposed to the relevant sensory experience. It is regarded as a problem by philosophers because it appears to stand in direct contradiction to what Hume had previously written.
      Zeno's paradoxes are a set of problems generally thought to have been devised by Zeno of Elea to support Permenides’s doctrine that "all is one" and that, contrary to the evidence of our senses, the belief in plurality and change is mistaken, and in particular that motion is nothing but an illusion.
      Godfather: - A man present at the christening of a baby who promises to help raise the child; A male godparent who sponsors the baptism of a child.
      -A small post which is used in repairing a fence. For instance attached to and supporting an existing broken fence post.
      -A mafia leader.
      The Believers is a novel by Zoe Heller.
      Bloop- The Bloop is the name given to the ultra-low frequency underwater sound detected by the U.S. N.O.A.A. several times during the summer of 1997. The source of the sound remains unknown. The sound, traced to somewhere around South American southwest coast, was detected repeatedly by the Equatorial Pacific Ocean autonomous hydrophone array, which uses U.S. Navy equipment originally designed to detect Soviet submarines. According to the NOAA description, it "rises rapidly in frequency over about one minute and was of sufficient amplitude to be heard on multiple sensors, at a range of over 5,000 km." According to scientists who have studied the phenomenon it matches the audio profile of a living creature but there is no known animal that could have produced the sound. If it is an animal, it would have to be, reportedly, much larger than even a Blue Whale.
      - Bloop- In the ARG for the movie, the Bloop was also linked to
      Cloverfield monster.

      - Because the Bloop noise originated near the location of the fictional sunken city of R'lyeh from H.P. Lovecraft’s story “The Call of Cthulu, Bloop has been linked to Cthulhu by the authors fans.

      The Lie is a GREAT EPISODE!!

      There is more than one lie going on here. There are many lies at work. Who could be lying besides the obvious people? Cheng? Ben? Mrs. Hawking? Dan? Sun? Who else?
      I’ve wondered this before... is it possible that Hurley is the one seeing more clearly at this point. I guess I have to wait and see how it plays out.

      Excuse me now I believe I have to go find myself.

      Love to all who are "LOST" ™

      Disclaimer: I never claim to know everything about the show and my thoughts by no means make me right! The things I share here are my views and/or opinions. I don't claim to catch every single detail either! You all know I hate spoilers! And I stand clear of reading certain sites as to not take me off my own course of research. The one thing I don't need to do here is rehash all of the obvious clues from an episode, we all know what they are. Understood? ! Let the fun begin! I'll only note things that I know come up as clues later, but need to be noted when they first show up and things I find that will be of importance! It will get very exciting as we progress into the story.
