Ji Yeon...and Baby Makes...

PLEASE NOTE the following notes were posted on MySpace March 14, 2008.

Let’s talk about LOST!   JI YEON…and Baby Makes…

I HAVEN’T RE-WATCHED. THESE ARE PRELIMINARY NOTES! I WILL DETAIL THIS EPISODE SOON!
An interesting episode with lots of questions!
I didn’t leave much here for you all I’m afraid. I’ve been trying to play catch up on everything, but please share your thoughts with me.

Things to note...Questions to ask...
* "Flashes"!!! WoooHoooo. Not in time order or just plain wrong.
It was easier to see this when they used two people for this example instead of me always trying to convince you that’s what’s going on. But there it was! Not only that, we're able to see the blurring, crossovers and connections as if things are layers right on top of each other.
* Time? Time Travel? Time line- If there are NO time travel issues, Sun is hanging out with Hurley and the infant around July-ish 2005. Now that would make my previous time line work, i.e. The Hunting Party, Tale of Two Cities, etc.,
But, If Jin’s marker/tombstone shows 9/22/04, how is Sun explaining the at least 6 week difference of seeing her husband last and conceiving? I’m just asking!
* Waaaaaaaaaaalt!!! Looks like Waaaaaalt could have written the damn note. It looks "child-like".
* Kevin Johnson. Michael.
* Regina reads a book upside down. That's bizarre. She jumps overboard wrapped in chains. Well, maybe she’s just going to an underwater hatch, lair or city. Maybe she is trying to kill herself…Why?
* What is going on with the ship that they are acting all freaky? They look like zombies/shit! They're killing themselves and others. Is it drug induced, withdrawal or hypnosis or not really happening? Or is there no other way out of a particular situation?
* Is someone/something making this happen?
* Expose. The Cobra. Someone is working for our cobra.
* Professional sailors getting "cabin fever". NOT. How long have they been sailing around for? Hmmm?
* The boat’s moving..."If you say it is."
* Sun really wanted to have her baby at home, so could this be a case of "If you say it is"? Meaning she wished that. I wonder...
* Proof of things being faked, on a GRAND scale! There it was!!!
* Dr Ray scares me!
* Dr. Bae. {Bay} Dr. Park. Hmmmmm.
* Juliet is Sun’s doctor! WTF? Juliet’s a tattle tale too. Hahaha. Like she has no friggin secrets!
* Jin’s "Flashes" had more Chinese and Japanese references in them.
* ORCHIDS ALL AROUND SUN.
* Sun is a good teacher. She’s the only one who ever really asks questions and demands answers. She delivers her baby alone with no family with her.
* Sun won’t remove her wedding ring during delivery. Is she still married to Jin?   Maybe he’s gone. Or Jin could have stayed on the island and sent her back home to have the baby. Sun is afraid there’s something wrong with the baby.
* Black and white. Clothes, Panda Bear.
* Year of the dragon. February 5, 2000. January 23, 2012
* Dragon-Hydra.
* Captain Gault. He knows that Desmond knows who Charles Widmore is.
* Bugs. Cockroaches.
* Power Rangers. Action figures of morphing superheros.
* Desmond is way too comfortable taking off his shoes and catching some zzz’s. The note comes in the door/grill and he has Sayid get up and get it. WTF?! Get it yourself! Why make Sayid get it? Desmond didn’t even freak when he realized it was Widmore’s boat.
* Are any of them older than we think?
* Hurley is not in Santa Rosa! By the way, he looked very handsome!
* Bernard calls Locke a murderer. As I recall Bernard shot at dynamite and blew up the tent that KILLED a few Others! Many of them can be considered murderers.

* Special people. Locke, Rose, Hurley. Walt, Sun….
* Blood.

Vocabulary and Research...

* Giant Panda , "black-and-white cat-foot"; traditional Chinese: literally: "big bear cat" is a mammal classified in the bear family. The Giant Panda is an endangered species. While the dragon has historically served as China’s national emblem, in recent decades the Giant Panda has also served as emblem for the country.
* Mandarin oranges are the most popular and most abundant fruit during Chinese New Year — jin ju.
* The dragon, "a serpent of huge size, a python, a dragon. is a mythical creature typically depicted as a gigantic and powerful serpent or other reptile with magical or spiritual qualities.
* Cockroaches are insects of the order Blattodea. The earliest cockroach-like fossils are from the Carboniferous period between 354–295 million years ago. Cockroaches are most common in tropical and subtropical climates.
- Heroes, Mohinder  Suresh (a genetics professor) describes cockroaches, and not humans, as the pinnacle of evolution.

Many movies have been made, telling the story of alien, bugs morphing into people, killing people, taking over the world. Movies like Mimic, Men in Black and Starship Troopers.
* The Gault Clay is a formation of stiff blue clay deposited in a calm, fairly deep water marine environment during the Lower Cretaceous Period.

I really enjoyed this episode. We were re-visited by a few important clues of episodes past.
Walt and Michael, Rose’s cancer, sickness, blood, babies, birth. We need to keep these clues nearby.
Of course remember..."We have to go back!"
This was a great episode. I cried. Jin and Sun truly love each other.
BUT THINGS ARE WRONG!

Disclaimer: I never claim to know everything about the show and my thoughts by no means make me right! The things I share here are my views and/or opinions. I don't claim to catch every single detail either! You all know I hate spoilers! And I stand clear of reading certain sites as to not take me off my own course of research. The one thing I don't need to do here is rehash all of the obvious clues from an episode, we all know what they are. Understood? Good! Let the fun begin! I'll only note things that I know come up as clues later, but need to be noted when they first show up and things I find that will be of importance! It will get very exciting as we progress into the story.

The Other Woman. Ho Ho Ho.

PLEASE NOTE these notes were posted on MySpace March 8, 2008.

Let's talk about LOST! The Other Woman. Ho Ho Ho.

THIS IS NOT MY USUAL DETAILED EPISODE POST! I WILL DETAIL THIS EPISODE IN ORDER OF ALL EPISODES.  I have NOT re-watched. These are a few things that stuck out to me and things we need to think about. I'll build upon them with my upcoming research.

The Other Woman is a great episode!

Okay, without this being my "Official detailed episode clues blog", I can only ask questions about this episode and have fun doing it. So, until the "Official…" here's some fun thoughts on a fun night of LOST!
There is no doubt that this season has a completely different feel. It should! We're dealing with a must different layer of the story!!

When I saw the TEMPEST, my first thought....Star Wars/Return of the Jedi, Han Solo, Princess Leia and Chewbacca. They shot their way into a similar entrance. But there's much more of a Star Wars feel running through this episode!

Things to note…Questions to ask...
* Little quiet, intelligent, timid Juliet has an affair with a married man. A man who is her own therapist's husband! Shouldn't she know better? Isn't the island a little small to pull off an affair?
* Juliet plays with a ZEN GARDEN. {dark/light rocks} She makes wavy lines in the sand.
* Harper. Goodwin.
* In Harper's office: Sailboat, Hour glass.
* Laundry.
* Juliet in therapy! Yeah, right, who would have guessed that? We have to keep the ties to Santa Rosa going. It's stressful being an Other! Is it stressful being a native too?!
* As of the time that Goodwin and Juliet are having a picnic there are children on the island! Is it just Emma and Zack they're talking about? Aaron? How many other kids?
* Women who conceive on the Island are the ones who have problems with carrying. What is happening different with island conception? Or is it in the DNA? The DNA structure change?
* Smoke Monster/Harper? Could be. If I was the smoke monster, and I felt that Charlotte and Daniel we're trouble, I would just take them out myself. Why transform into Harper? Unless the 'smoke monster' is there to trigger a certain action from Juliet. Or maybe the smoke monster wants to manipulate the Jack/Juliet situation, one way or the other.
* The Red Socks. A hint to Christian hanging around, perhaps.
* Safe. Box. Locke.
* Ben is very jealous of Juliet's and Goodwin's relationship. Are we led to believe that Ben amped up the arrival of flight 815. He knew putting Goodwin in a certain situation would take Goodwin out of the picture. And how come Ben wasn't jumping up and down when a 'spinal surgeon' was available to him?
* Harper's degree has a HANSO logo on it.
* Why is Claire so concerned with how John is dealing with things?
* Is Miles still holding the grenade in his mouth?
* They're running out of chicken! Why? Where do the chickens come from?
* Eat rabbit, they taste like chicken! This rabbit wasn't white!
* Did it have a number on it? Is that a hint to Ben not really killing the bunny with Sawyer? Or a hint to The Orchid? Why couldn't we be taken to the damn Orchid already?!
* Being gone/Dead...Not really.
* Why is Goodwin, a doctor, lying to another doctor about how he got hurt?
* I must note that Juliet comes up through the water at the beach picnic with Goodwin.
* What is the deal with Charlotte and Daniel's mission at the TEMPEST? Did you see some interesting things inside the TEMPEST?! More on that in the detail blog.
* The Juliet in the flashes has the same personality as the Juliet we see in Miami. Not the tough Juliet that is in charge, can kick ass and shoot someone. Ben's go to gal.
* Does Juliet and Jack have history? Do I really have to discuss their kiss?
* Widmore. Yep!! If he bought the Black Rock journal back a bunch of years ago, he would already know where the island is. So, if so, is he responsible for placing Desmond on the island? Or did Desmond steal the journal and get to the island on his own, and Widmore has just now found it? Ok, I’ll stop that now! hehehe.
* The Losties at the barracks are way too comfortable there, especially John.
* Ben is creepy! Yes, but in control, always where he wants to be. Does he need to be in Santa Rosa?
* Everyone is where they want to be...
* Why isn't Locke asking a million questions? Ben still gets his way. He is the Jedi Master! Locke doesn't even ask him how he got footage of Widmore from the outside world!
* "BEN WILL WIN."
* "You're mine."
* What's with tracking in the rain? Tracking….
* The chess board is very much turned around.
* Ben must work for HANSO.
* Does anyone have the whispers?!!! I neeeeed them!
* Why does John need to sit down to hear the news about who is on the boat? Just show us Michael ALREADY!!!! If it's not Michael, who?
* The "Losties" the original Hostiles…
* Is someone's father on the Island trying to protect their "child"?

Vocabulary and Research…
* The Tempest was a steamship of the Anchor Line. It was with the Tempest that the Anchor Line began its transatlantic service between Glasgow and New York. She sailed on February 26, 1857, with a crew and passengers of one hundred and fifty on board, and vanished without a trace.
* A tempest is a violent storm.
* TEMPEST is a codename referring to investigations and studies of compromising emanations (CE). Compromising emanations are defined as unintentional intelligence-bearing signals which, if intercepted and analyzed, disclose the information transmitted, received, handled, or otherwise processed by any information-processing equipment.
* The Tempest is a play written by William Shakespeare.
* Tempest is the name of a powerful, 4-legged Martian Machine in the 1998 PC Game Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds.
* Angel Salvadore, often simply called Angel but now going by the codename Tempest, is a fictional character created by Grant Morrison and Ethan Van Sciver. She first appeared in New X-Men.

AND MY FAVORITE!!!!
* Tempest is the 3rd novel in the Legacy of the Force series, taking place some 40 years after the original Star Wars trilogy. As civil war threatens the unity of the Galactic Alliance, Han and Leia Solo have enraged their families and the Jedi by joining the Corellian insurgents. But the Solos draw the line when they discover the rebels' plot to make the Hapan Consortium an ally - which rests upon Hapan nobles murdering their pro-Alliance queen and her daughter. Yet the Solos' selfless determination to save the queen cannot dispel the inescapable consequences of their actions that will pit mother against son and brother against sister in the battles ahead. For as Jacen Solo's dark powers grow stronger under the Dark Jedi Lumiya and his influence over Ben Skywalker becomes more insidious.
* Horseshoes is an outdoor game played between 2 people (or 2 teams of 2 people) using 6 horseshoes and 2 stakes. The game is played by the players alternating turns tossing horseshoes at stakes in the ground, which are traditionally placed 40 feet (12.19 meters) apart. In horseshoes, there are two ways to score: by throwing "ringers," or by throwing the horseshoe nearest to the opposite stake. This scoring system gives rise to the popular expression "Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades." A ringer is a thrown horseshoe such that the horseshoe completely encircles the stake. The game can be traced back to ancient times. Horseshoes are made of iron.

The Other Woman. Juliet, Kate, Harper, Claire, Charlotte… Are we sure we're seeing all about the past? Couldn't we be seeing the future!?
Maybe we are seeing the Return of our own Jedi after all! Hehehe.

It will get very exciting as we progress into the story.

I'll Be Your Constant.

PLEASE NOTE the following notes were posted on MySpace March 1, 2008

THIS IS NOT MY USUAL DETAILED EPISODE NOTES. I WILL DETAIL THIS EPISODE IN ORDER OF ALL EPISODES.
I have NOT re-watched. These are a few things that stuck out to me and things we need to think about. I'll build upon them with my upcoming research.

The Constant is a GREAT episode! WOW! WOW! WOW!

I need to start with the title of this episode as it is very important.
A constant is something that does not change over time or "otherwise"; a fixed value! So how can a person be a constant? People are variables. They can get hit by a car and die.

Things to note…Questions to ask...

* Desmond says…"I'm not here-this isn't happening". {Not real-real} I'm not supposed to be here.
* Watch out for those 4! They are not the Fantastic Four at all! They are very smart and dangerous.
* Daniel is playing with people's lives.
* GAME; A Chess game. Pieces are getting moved around. I 'm just waiting for the Queen to show herself.
* Thunderhead. Clouds. Electromagnet/Radiation over the island?
* Time is still a messed up issue. Desmond's "Flashes" are still troubling me. They are not consistent. When he goes into a "Flash" it doesn't match up physically to how he 'enters' a "Flash".
* Widmore. The auction. A Grand Master perhaps.
* The seller of the "journal" is Tovard Hanso.
* Desmond sees himself in the mirror on the ship. Two Desmond's. {part of Sayid's reflection}
* 1996. Christmas Eve 2004. 8 years in who's time?
* This "sickness: ... Are we being fooled? Why doesn't everyone have it? Daniel asks if Desmond had recently been exposed to high levels of radiation or electromagnetism. If it's due to that, they all were exposed to it. Sayid is fine, so is everyone else on the island.
* Minkowski- How come he's got this "sickness"? Really?! The rest of the ship is fine. If this is the sickness Danielle mentions why didn't she get it?
* Ferris wheel= Loop
* Freighter. Ship. Sick bay. Someone tears up all the wires for communication. There's a tube on the table.
* The numbers are all over this episode. Where's Leonard?
* 755 - Widmore's Auction Number
* 423 Cheyne Walk - Penny's Flat.
* 7946-0893 - Penny's phone number.
* Set the machine 2.342 Oscillating 11 hertz.
* The auction lot number of the Black Rock diary is 2342
* Michael's bearing 325.
* Cheat sheet bearing 305.
* Eko's stick had "Lift up your eyes and look north John 3:05".
* Widmore buys Hanso's "journal". Des ends up on the Island. Does Desmond get sent there by Widmore? Or does he steal the "journal" and coincidentally find the island on his own?
* Charles Dickens items are up for auction.
* Daniel's black and white note book. "Journal" {Pearl station uses black and white note books. I'm just saying!}
* Penny's floor is black and white. Her walls are a rose color.
* Penny and Desmond's picture.
* Sayid is a friggin genius! He can make a radio/phone out of anything! You just have to give him a minute.
* Who is their friend on the ship who opens the door for them?
* Mouse in a maze. Eloise dies from what Dan assumes is a brain aneurysm. Yet Daniel tells Desmond his fate may be the same as Eloise. How do we know how Eloise really died?
* Minkowski. Strapped down. Injection. Time "Flashes".
* Jack has a damn phone, why doesn't he call me?!
* Desmond speaks to Penny on a red phone.
* Water running in the bathroom. Water!! Just add water.
* Keamy crew member on the freighter Kahana. He is from Las Vegas, Nevada. Has a tattoo that looks like a 'bear claw' in a circle. I have to find a good picture of it, to detail it.
* Omar is a crew member aboard the freighter. He's from Florida.
* Where's Regina? {Regina means Queen in Italian}
* No one asked about Naomi.
* Dr. Ray.
* Queen's College, Department of Physics is one of the constituent colleges of the University of Oxford.
* You would think Daniel, working at Oxford, would look more presentable. Don't they have a dress code and personal appearance requirement for not only their students but their teachers?!
* Santa Rosa, Santa Rosa, Santa Rosa.....

Great a Comic Book reference. No matter what, the 6 will return to the Island.

* The Island hidden in plain sight. Again, maybe the safe way to travel to and from the Island is deep under water or...

Vocabulary and Research...
* Constants are real numbers or numerical values which are significantly interesting in some way term "constant" is used both for mathematical constants and for physical constants, but with quite different meanings.
One always talks about definable and almost always also computable, mathematical constants.
* Physical Constant, a physical quantity that is generally believed to be both universal in nature and constant in time, such as c, the speed of light, or h, the Planck constant.
* Cosmological constant, usually denoted by Ë, a parameter modifying the original equations of the theory of general relativity, introduced by Einstein and important for determining the ultimate fate of the universe as predicted by the theory.
* Time Constant, usually denoted by ô, a value characterizing the frequency response of a first-order, linear time-invariant system Reaction rate constant.

Last night's episode threw out the clue of "Ferris Wheel". Yes, it goes around and around, it can hold 50-100 people, and can over see much of the land below it. It's one big giant LOOP. That makes perfect sense and fit's our story like a glove. But of course, being a kid who grew up in New York and getting to ride a huge Ferris Wheel on field trips, I recalled my younger days at Coney Island. That ride used to scare the crap out of me!

In all seriousness, this was a fantastic episode. I can't wait to detail it. Share your thoughts with me.

Good Morning, Bacon and Eggs?

PLEASE NOTE these notes were posted on MySpace Feb 22, 2008

Let's talk about LOST! Good Morning. Bacon and Eggs?

THIS IS NOT MY USUAL DETAILED EPISODE POST! I WILL DETAIL THIS EPISODE IN ORDER OF ALL EPISODES.
I have NOT re-watched EGGTOWN to detail this episode yet. These are a few things that stuck out to me. Things we need to think about. I'll build upon them with my upcoming research.

Things to note…Questions to ask...

* Locke's EYE. White tee-shirt.
* Lock. Locke. Locker….
* Backgammon.
* The last 2 eggs.
* Pregnancy. Parental figures.
* 3.2 million dollars.
* Ben still pushing Locke's buttons.
* Speaking of "Ben."- Not what we think.
* Oceanic 6. Not what we think…
* Diane wants to see her grandchild.
* Diane's told she'll live 6 months, for the past 4 years.
* Island Aaron is Jack's nephew. But who's the father? Really?
* Xanadu. {Don't hate me for hating this movie}
* "This island"
* Boathouse.
* They're all making DEALS!
* Where's this damn helicopter? Charlotte and Miles don't wonder why they haven't heard from their own boat in over a day?! Come on! Call 911. WTF?
* Sharpen his simple memory skills.
* Is there a "father" with MANY children? Hmmmm.
* "Christian" Baaaa.
* Aaron.
* What's real? What's not?
* With all those houses in Other town, they take up residence in Ben and Juliet's houses. That's just too funny.
* In the courtroom we hear, the marshal died in the crash. We know that's a lie. Jack even ends the marshal's life!
* The inmates are wearing RED.
* 8. 6 survived. 1 of them would be an infant? Nope. That doesn't make sense! How do they explain an infant surviving a plane crash in the water? Unless Claire 'survived' too?
* Sun doesn't want to pick a place to live in America. Jin's looking at a map of New Mexico. She wants her baby at home. That's interesting. There's a hint to New Mexico in the fan made video.
* Grenade in Miles' mouth. Priceless!
* Democracy VS. Dictatorship.
* John's evolving. {Different John}
* Will we ever see 2 of everyone?
* Aaron's room. Pictures of topical/monkey, Picture over the dresser by the door has a 6 of spades2 robots over his bed. in it.
* The rest of the island residents…Did they choose to stay on the "island" or did they all perish during an incident?
* The hatch system/underground must be like a multi-layered Honeycomb.
* Why would Kate get to play 'mother' to this baby if she's such a bad person? Why did Kate want to leave this "island" unless she made a promise to someone. She's willing to leave. But it seems that she is willing to do that for the protection of Aaron. If that's the case, what/who would Aaron need protection from? What makes him so special?

So, if this is about a promise to care for "Island", Aaron {and not her own baby Aaron} could this promise be to Claire to take care of him for some reason? Why? Claire dies. {Not!} It could be. {I still reference the Locke vision from time to time. It comes in handy!} Maybe Claire stays on the "Island". Maybe this isn't Island Aaron. It could just be that the babies from now on will all look the same and are called Aaron! Hehehe. Ok, maybe this Aaron grows very fast, like Waaaaaalt!
* The Losties are Mainstays of the island. Thanks to the Wal -Mart reference on the bottom of Kate's coffee cup.

Vocabulary and Research...
* Xanadu, also Zanadu, (was the summer capitol of Kublai Khan's Mongol Empire, which covered much of Asia and also encroached upon Eastern Europe. The city was located in what is now called Inner Mongolia. The capital consisted of the square-shaped "Outer City", "Inner City" and the palace, where Kublai Khan stayed in summer. The palace was 550 meters square, 40% the size of the Forbidden City in Beijing. The most visible modern-day remnants are the earthen walls though there is also a (ground-level) circular brick platform in the center of the inner enclosure. -Xanadu was visited by Venetian explorer Marco Polo in 1275; it became fabled as a metaphor for opulence.
-Xanadu is home to the comic strip character Mandrake the Magician, created by Lee Falk, believed by some to have been the first bona fide superhero.
-Xanadu is also one of the names given to The Beast in the novel The Beast House by horror writer Richard Laymon. The same beast is also referenced in The Midnight Tour, The Cellar, and, Friday Night in the Beast House.
-Xanadu is the name of a very reflective region on the surface of Saturn's largest moon, Titan.
-The song "Welcome to the Pleasure dome" by Frankie Goes to Hollywood is based on the Coleridge poem.
-In the popular zoo simulation franchise Zoo Tycoon, it is used as a cheat code.
-The 1980 musical film Xanadu is considered a cult film. Yuk!
-It is the name of Charles Foster Kane's Mansion in the Classic Movie Citizen Kane.

Let's have some FUN! JUST FOR THE SAKE OF FUN!
Because it's friggin Friday, it's been a long ass week and I need to think happy thoughts!

Let's put on our science fiction hats...

Imagine...
Let's go back to the days of a great sci-fi comic book, or even an awesome Stephen King story. An epic sci-fi story of good vs. evil. Throw in some major players with lots of money and tons of power. Let's toss in a 'few' of the clues we've come across over the past 3 years; Mysterious, hidden 'island', time/space travel, confinement, drugs/medication, DNA, fertility, genetics, bugs, life extension, deep freeze, livestock, hatch, war, etc. Let's say there is a superior being who is the Mac daddy of the 'island' and they're creating/breeding people with this 'being.' Maybe it's to continue the magical DNA of the 'island' or they're giving us mutant people with super powers? Either way, they all travel anywhere and to anytime they want with their twin robot counter parts, because the 'island' is really a huge space ship! Oooo, Aaaah!

Now roll all that up into one neat package, tie it up in a pretty bow, and call it Cloverfield.

Now wasn't that a fun use of imagination?!

Yeah, I know...Santa Rosa.

Well, until I detail this episode I figured we needed a fun start to the weekend.

All funning aside... This "Island" and its "inhabitants" must go back through the centuries, with root's that go very, very deep. Just like the ancients, they too need to defend their land.

A scripted lie, if told over enough, will be believed. Maybe we're the one's being lied to.

PLEASE NOTE the following notes were posted on MySpace Feb 16, 2008

THIS IS NOT MY USUAL DETAILED EPISODE POST. I WILL DETAIL THIS EPISODE IN ORDER OF ALL EPISODES.

I have NOT re-watched The Economist to detail this episode yet. These are a few things that stuck out to me; things we need to think about. I'll build upon them with my upcoming research.

The Economist is a GREAT episode! WOW! I think by now it's pretty obvious that a number of clues I've bold typed for us since the beginning are indeed constantly brought up.

I was thrilled to see hints to the "Powers that be", persons with power and endless money and resources always have a hand in everything we see. What great secrets are being kept by these powerful people?

'Ben' obviously can travel "to" and "from" that "island" whenever he wants. He wears many masks and could he have different identities too.
Sayid claims to be one of the Oceanic 6. His role happens to be an extension of torturer as he is now a hit man. Yet the word diplomat is associated with him. I find that very important and interesting.

Now that we see that "Ben" can come and go, how does that affect what everyone else's "realities" are? Hmmm?!
Sayid being one who discovers this secret in Ben's closet!

Things to note…Questions to ask...
* I've asked this before, I'll ask it again…How old is 'Ben?' How old is everyone else?
* Finally, acknowledgment to time running different; here time runs slower. Wow, imagine that.
* Desmond gets on the copter even though he knows it's not Penny's boat. WTF?!!!!
* Jack doesn't go on the copter. He feels he's the only one who can rescue the Losties, so why not follow through on the rescue?
* Frank says Sayid "cheated." {He traded Miles for Charlotte}
* Frank bleeds Yankee blue. Tie to New York, The Bronx. Rose is from the Bronx.
* Sayid closes Naomi's and Elsa's eyes.
* Told NOT to talk to Minkowski.
* Regina translates to Queen in Italian.
* Game room.
* Locke makes tea for Sayid. Mikhail brought Sayid and Kate tea in another episode.
* Hurley says 'Oh great. The ship sent us another Sawyer.' {WoooHooo!}
* Elsa wears a similar silver bracelet.
* Daniel's clock on island 2:24:03…The freighter timer 3:16:23.
* Chicken
* Languages.
* Zoned out.
* Mirrors. Broken Mirrors.
* Naomi's dead body. Come on!
* Recruitment. Recruiting.
* Masks. I.D. Passports.
* We've seen that Red Cross symbol before.
* Pager. Beeper
* Old fashioned….How old?
* Numbers
* Colors- Red. Black/Dark. White/Light.
* Sawyer talks about Ben….'shoot off his toe'…Statue clue?
* A German guy is mentioned in an early episode involving the tail section. Germany.
* Note Ben's Passports and Money/pound notes.
* A bigger war!
* Vet. Dogs. Vincent.
* HURLEY.
* Where does the cabin go?
* Kate and Sawyer play house…For how long?
* 'Ben' is still in control of things, but who's 'Ben's' boss?
* Cold. Ice. Chill. Are these clues to the listening station? Or a symbol of the cold hearted side of a person? Or a clue to the 'island' itself?!!
* Ship? Think about it.
* What are the initials on the bracelet?
* "I have work to do."
* Are there people who look identical, but are different?
* Are they really ever out of the "force field/confines" of the "island"? {I think not}
* What is real...what is NOT?

Vocabulary and Research...

* Sir Roy George Douglas Allen, (1906-1983-) was an English economist, mathematician and statistician.
* Hermann Minkowski (June 22,1864– January 12, 1909) was a Lithuanian-born German mathematician. In geometry, the Minkowski sum, also known as dilation, of 2 sets A and B in Euclidean space is the result of adding every element of A to every element of B, i.e. the set. In physics and mathematics, Minkowski space (or Minkowski space time) is the mathematical setting in which Einstein's theory of special relativity is most conveniently formulated. In this setting the 3 ordinary dimensions of space are combined with a single dimension of time to form a 4-dimensional mannifold for representing a space time.
-Oskar Minkowski (January 13, 1858-July 18, 1931) Sanatorium Fürstenburg an der Havel, Mecklenburg-Strelitz, Germany was a famous scientist of German, Jewish and Polish descent.
-Rudolph Minkowski (May 28,1895-January 4, 1976) was a German-American astronomer. His father was the physiologist Oskar Minkowski Hermann Minkowski.
* Espionage is usually part of an institutional effort (i.e., governmental or corporate espionage), and the term is most readily associated with state spying on potential or actual enemies, primarily for military purposes, but this has been extended to spying involving corporations, known specifically as industrial espionage.

The reason I use the word espionage is because Frank asks if Sayid is a diplomat….Diplomatic immunity?!

-Another word for espionage or words associated with it…intelligence, reconnaissance, secret service, shadowing, tailing, undercover operations, undercover work, underground activities, agent, beagle, detective, double agent, emissary, espionage agent, foreign agent, informer, inside man,intelligencer, investigator, lookout, mole, narc, observer, operative, patrol, picket, plant, scout, secret agent, sleeper, sleuth, snoop, spook, spotter, undercover agent, watcher. ALL OF THOSE FIT OUR STORY!

* A pager (beeper) is a simple personal telecommunications device for short messages. A one-way numeric pager can only receive a message consisting of a few digits. Paging was invented by Multitone Electronics in 1956 at St. Thomas' Hospital in London to alert doctors attending emergencies. In the world of paging there are 2 distinct categories of system in operation. There are on-site paging systems that are used in hospitals to convey the same urgent information. The other type is wide area paging, which offers similar features as on-site paging, but provides the radio coverage across a city, region or country rather than in just one hospital building. Pagers are still in use today in places where mobile phones typically cannot reach users, and also in places where the operation of the radio transmitters contained in mobile phones is problematic or prohibited. One such type of location is a large hospital complex. Pagers also have privacy advantages. Since a one-way pager is a passive receiver only (it sends no information back to the base station), its location cannot be tracked.
* An economist is an expert in the social science of economics. The individual may also study, develop, and apply theories and concepts from economics and write about economic policy. Within this field there are many sub-fields, ranging from the broad philosophical theories to the focused study of minutiae within specific markets, macroeconomic analysis, or financial analysis, involving analytical methods and tools such as econometrics, statistics, economics computational models, financial economics, financial mathematics and mathematical economics.
* Michael Faraday, (Sept 22, 1791– Aug 25, 1867) was an English chemmist and physicist (or natural philosopher, in the terminology of that time) who contributed to the fields of electromagnetism and electrochemistry.
* In electromagnetism, Maxwell's equations are a set of 4 equations that were first presented as a distinct group in 1884 by Oliver Heaveyside in conjunction with Willard Gibbs. These equations had appeared throughout James Clerk Maxwell's 1861 paper entitled On Physical Lines of Force. Those equations describe the interrelationship between electric field, magnetic field, electric charge and electric current. Although Maxwell himself was the originator of only one of these equations (by virtue of modifying an already existing equation), he derived them all again independently in conjunction with his molecular vortex model of Faraday's "lines of force".
* An electromagnet in its simplest form, is a wire that has been coiled into one or more loops, known as a solenoid. When electric current flows through the wire, a magnetic field is generated. It is concentrated near (and especially inside) the coil, and its field lines are very similar to those for a magnet. The orientation of this effective magnet is determined via the right hand rule. The magnetic moment and the magnetic field of the electromagnet are proportional to the number of loops of wire, to the cross-section of each loop, and to the current passing through the wire. If the coil of wire is wrapped around a material with no special magnetic properties (i.e., cardboard), it will tend to generate a very weak field. However, if it is wrapped around a "soft" ferromagnetic material, such as an iron nail, then the net field produced can result in a several hundred- to thousand fold increase of field strength.

* Permanent magnets occur naturally in some rocks. I.e.. Lodestone.
- You can use magnets in magic.
* Tea. Tea leaf can be used in fortune telling.
* Crystal ball/sphere can be used in fortune telling or is a symbol of divine light, celestial powers.
* Dog. In Greek mythology Cerberus, 3 headed dog, guarded gates of the realm of the dead and acted as a spirit guide. Dogs are also a symbol of faithfulness and protectiveness, of blind love and obedience.
* Silver is a symbol and link to the moon. It's bright but it tarnishes. Symbolizing the corruptible side of human nature, which needs cleaning.

Can I share something with you? Let me tell you what pissed me off….Daniel radio's the 'boat'…there is NO DELAY in communications with the boat, yet there is a delay in the payload arriving. Anyone care to explain that!? Don't tell me it's a plot hole.
They show us an episode with Hurley and Sayid listening to "In the mood" on the radio and Sayid comments it could be coming from any place. Hurley comments it could be coming from any time. So, how come radio waves delay isn't the case here?!!

Are we starting to see things pan out from clues I've highlighted and talked about? Yep, and it's all so damn exciting!!

We're still seeing things/people completely tied to the "island" and that magnet keeps pulling them back!

Past, Present and Future…..
They all are connected! Always have been...Always will be!

Disclaimer: I never claim to know everything about the show and my thoughts by no means make me right! The things I share here are my views and/or opinions. I don't claim to catch every single detail either! You all know I hate spoilers and I stand clear of reading certain sites as to not take me off my own course of research. The one thing I don't need to do here is rehash all of the obvious clues from an episode, we all know what they are. Understood? Good! Let the fun begin! I'll only note things that I know come up as clues later, but need to be noted when they first show up and things I find that will be of importance. It will get very exciting as we progress into the story.

Santa Rosa's Calling Me!

*Please Note: This entry was posted over at MySpace on Feb, 9, 2008 (I'm just moving it over here.)

We all LOVED the past two weeks of LOST. Some fans were confused by what they saw. The writers love throwing us curve balls. Boy do I love those writers! It makes it so exciting to try to figure things out.

Of course my only purpose in life may be to write these little LOST notes and that's cool with me because I enjoy it very much.  I hope these notes have enlightened a few fans, not only to my LOSTNESS, but also to many subliminal clues the show gives us. Big fun for all!

The past two weeks of episodes were so amazing! We all can't stop talking about them. We are blown away by the new things we're seeing.

I received wonderful messages from viewers asking great questions about what we saw. Keep those questions and comments coming. They keep me on my toes.

We've talked about the many layers of the show, and there are many!   We do indeed talk about all kinds of possibilities and explanations for what we see. I can't tell you how much I have learned on all the subjects regarding all the layers of the show. No matter where the show leads us, whether I'm right or wrong on clues, etc.,

I still feel a few of things that I've hinted and outright said to you all through these notes about people not being "who/what" we think they are and, things not being what they seem, are on the mark.

The other big thing I keep going on and on about is my take on, not only the "Flashes" but also events on the "Island" not being linear and are blurred together.  I believe we may even be seeing a different "run through" on the "Island".
Am I telling you that means everything we see is out of order? NO! Just be careful on assuming certain 'time issues.'

I'm sure you're reading this and asking yourself "Why is crazy Karen telling us this again?"
Why did I feel I needed to reiterate these couple of points here today? Because it is important for all to remember the liner/time order issue and the blurring of events.
This includes what we saw over the past two weeks.

Please don't assume all things we saw were Flash Forward.  I feel that some things we see are from the past, things we see are happening in the PRESENT, and some things are from the future.  Actually all of those levels feel blended together.   You have to go back and think about what we saw and review things in your mind's eye {Or your TIVO!} and ask yourself if any of those things can be from past, present or are future events. Keep in mind, "Go Back."

They are in the middle of a WAR.   The "Island" and the "Island's" many secrets are at stake.
There are very powerful people involved in everything that's going on.

Remember, things are not what they seem!

Connect Four

PLEASE NOTE the following notes were posted on MySpace Feb 8, 2008.

Let's talk about LOST!   Connect Four.

THIS IS NOT MY USUAL DETAILED EPISODE POST. I WILL DETAIL THIS EPISODE IN ORDER OF ALL EPISODES.

I have not re-watched to detail this episode yet. These are a few things that stuck out to me and things we need to think about. I'll build upon them with my upcoming research.

Here are just some quick thoughts on 4-2 Confirmed Dead.

I'm excited that clues I've pointed out in this little blog have begun to show their points. A few are plates, under, underwater, faked, etc… I'm sure the clues will continue on with the rest of our story!

* The discovery of an Oceanic plane deep underwater in the Sunda Trench off Bali.
* There are dead bodies on board this crashed/sunken plane.
* This wreck is claimed to be Oceanic flight 815.
* Two ROV's were sent down under the water while on a quest to find the Black Rock.
* The boat this little crew sailed on is called The Christian 1. This information was witnessed in this episode, but was also learned the last day of the ARG Find815.
* The 888-548-0034 number was given out during the game as well.

In this episode, we're introduced to 4 people:
  • Daniel Faraday of Essex Mass.
  • Miles from California.
  • Charlotte in Tunisia.
  • Frank the pilot appeared to be in the Bahamas or some island environment.

Daniel: He has a very peculiar personality and I noticed a bit of odd behavior.

In one of the ARG's, 'The LOST Experience', we learned about savants being used for certain study and contributions to working study/projects.  I can't help but wonder if it's with Daniel that we start getting that information/connection.  Maybe he was able to figure something out.  Of course I'm not sure. We'll just have to take this info and see how it plays out.
I note that when Daniel is on the SAT phone, whomever he's talking to doesn't want to be on speaker phone. Let the secrets continue!

Miles: Doesn't want anyone to know his last name. WOW! Why? Who is he related to? He "can" 'communicate' with the dead and he charges a customer $200 for his services.   By the way the room he worked in had imagery connecting to the "Island".

Charlotte: She is in Tunisia for a dig that reveals Dharma Polar Bear and its collar. She's not surprised! She apparently has to read the same headline in many different languages.  The psychic's daughter in Australia had a daughter named Charlotte too.

C.S. Lewis connection…I guess we're in Narnia! lol

Frank Lapidus: An Oceanic airline pilot turned beach bum? WTF? He says he was supposed to pilot that flight.   He also says the image on the TV of the 'dead' pilot isn't Seth Norris.  His clue-no wedding ring. I did note on top of his old TV he has a replica helicopter, 2004 map and Activities brochure, dolphin cruise.  Frank says he studied the manifest.

I noted in another blog post that in the EXPOSE script, the cast list showed a Rick Lapidus. So Frank does indeed have a connection to everything!

Naomi: Has a meeting with Abaddon in a vacant office space. He has files and pictures of the 4 recruits.  Naomi is troubled that these 4 hold no qualifications to be involved in a high risk, covert operation in unstable territory. So, why would these 4 be recruited for such a 'job'?  Because they have to be!  Naomi comments about running into the survivors.  Abaddon emphatically tells her there are no survivors! I guess if you repeat a lie over and over it will become believable!

Ben: Is he really a member of society in the "outside world"?  Ben claims to have someone on her boat.  So with Intel like that wouldn't Ben have known they were coming all along?  Besides, who is this person he mentions?  Why are they looking for Ben? Could Ben have a twin/replica? I'm just asking!!

The 4 new arrivals to the "Island" have a picture of what appears to be Ben, circa late 70's early 80's. But when Naomi arrived she had a picture of Desmond; That's who she said she was looking for.

Ben shoots Charlotte; who is wearing a bullet proof vest.  Ben is wearing a vest in the picture they have of him.   In EXPOSE Howard makes reference to bullet proof vest to Nikki.

Daniel comments on the "lighting" {Light scattering} being different on the "Island".

Juliet- a "native".  Hehehe. Who else? Wink, wink!

Why do the 4 have gas masks? Another purge perhaps?

Vincent.

Locke comments that Ben shot him. The bullet went in one side and came out the other. If he had a kidney he'd be dead.

The helicopter people bail out due to the copter going down; Yet Frank lands it.

Mirrors.

Cow. Moo!

Waking up.

Things being faked. Tricks. Manipulated, etc.

The number on the helicopter N842M

We still have imagery "off Island" that connects to the "Island".

I LOVE a good Star Wars reference! Wooohooo!

If we use the 'Connect 4' metaphor, could it be about connecting these four new arrivals to the rest of the 'Islanders'; Or four more pawns in the chess game?

The whole finding the "Island" thing: Okay, the incident when the sky turns purple seems to be the turning point for many things.  If the "Island" and surrounding area is hidden by a 'dome effect' covering of magnetic energy, the incident disrupted the 'covering effect' long enough for the "Island" to be detected.  But if the "Island" is covered by this magnetic field, maybe that's the exact reason 'time' is an issue there.  Couldn't that magnetic power/properties cause 'time' to just run very, very slow there or is it time is totally irrelevant there, except for a countdown timer?

So there's Locke asking Ben questions…about the Smoke Monster. HA!!!

Two very, very important things to note here is -To see how things have shifted on the "Island". Ben's people are gone and are most likely at the temple.  But Jack has his people in hiding, armed, ready to defend!   Also, Ben now knows that Hurley as well as Locke can see Jacob/cabin! HOLY SHIT!

Well Losties, without me digging deep and detailing yet, I hope I gave you enough clues and info to get started.
I've said all along, people aren't who we think they are. A few in more way than one! Things are not what they seem.

Do Over.

PLEASE NOTE: These notes were posted over at MySpace for the Season 4 premiere.

Let's talk about LOST! DO OVER!

Could contain spoilers! {Although I don't do spoilers}

I have not taken my notes for the episode yet.

Where do I begin?  My head is still reeling from 'The Beginning Of The End', the awesome mobisodes and find815!
This nine month hiatus was terribly long; although toward the end of our wait we had a few things to keep us busy.  I will not go into detail of Find815, but I will share a bit of our reveal.

I've decided to put a few thoughts down regarding our Season 4 opener.  I will not give my usual full episode clue detail here, as that will come when I get to that episode after I tie up Season 3.  But I will note a few things of interest that jumped out at me.

Let's see how things are fitting together….

FIND815: Lots of fun! Of course I love detective work so this was right up my alley. In short, Sam was on a search to find Oceanic flight 815.  His partner/girlfriend was a passenger. He kind of cons his way on to a boat in hopes of finding the Black Rock.  One thing that excited me very much was we had to use 'clue words' {gee!} One of the first clue words we had was 'PLATE'.  In my notes I did indeed bold type the word 'PLATE' for us.  So here it was!   Proof I was on the right track with that. The word 'PLATE' led us to plate tectonics and the Sunda Trench.
Sam discovers deep under the water the wreckage of Oceanic flight 815.
How long has that wreckage been down there?
That is not where our story or clues end. Not by a long shot!

Sam watches an interview on TV with Mr. Talbot. In that interview Sam realizes it's one hell of a coincidence that he 'found' Oceanic flight 815; No coincidence at all! Smart man!
So, he was 'allowed' to make that discovery, most likely because it would help the 'powers that be' still have a chance for their 'real secret' to be kept completely hidden from the world!!!

On to very brief notes for "The Beginning of The End."
I loved it. I laughed and I cried. It was wonderful to see new things. But you all knew I'd have to make mention of a few things…
* The number 6
* The Best of 7 (game)
* Chess
* Connect 4
* Ben on a leash like a 'dog'
* Choosing sides.
* Cannon Ball
* Randy Nations videotaping Hurley's red Camaro police chase!
* Ho Ho's. H-O- (rse)
* There are images, subliminal and blatant to the "Island" in the "Flashes".
* The 2 WAY MIRROR a big clue to them being watched.

Let's start with…
When are these "Flashes" from? Really?
Hurley, one of the Oceanic 6, leads police on a chase after apparently running away from 'Charlie' in a convenience store (Ho Ho's and slushy).
He is taken 'downtown' and meets the detective who used to be bitch Ana Lucia's partner. I wonder if her mother is still the Captain.  Hurley sees a hooded figure swimming behind the 2 WAY MIRROR of the interrogation room.   On the hand is written "They need you."
The police chase itself… ends conveniently in front of a camera ready Randy Nations! Are you fucking kidding me?!  Randy, Hugo's boss, employee, John's manager, now what is he?

Hurley sees a cabin/shanty. He also sees 'Christian' and another 'being' in the cabin. Hurley can also 'wish' it away!  That makes Hurley pretty special then, doesn't it?

Hurley sees 'Charlie'.  Apparently 'Charlie' can be seen by other people too.  Charlie doesn't look like a ghost "Charlie".  He has a new hair doo and wears cool sunglasses. It would be nice to see that "ghosts" keep up with fashion!

Matthew Abaddon: Yeah, nice play on words there. Here he pays a visit to Hurley in a mental institution. He makes an offer to Hurley.
What we're seeing here is another ploy of people having to choose a 'side'!   Golden Ticket! Damn IT! I want one! lol!   He's in Santa Rosa!  So, WHEN IS THIS "FLASH" REALLY FROM?!
We must note the chess game and the "Island" themed art on the board, ladybug and the word Victory in one of the drawings/paintings.

Hurley is in the yard when he talks to 'Charlie'.  He is painting a picture referencing the 'COLD' {Eskimo, Igloo for sure!}
Michael drew a picture for Walt…It was of a penguin and igloo, if I remember correctly.  So what is the clue or hint here to the 'COLD'?   Listening station perhaps?   A 'Cold' geographical place?  The North?   Maybe we need to head to the North Pole and visit Santa Clause! Hehehe!

Hurley and Jack play basketball; They play HORSE. This whole scene was FRIGGIN' IMPORTANT! I' can't wait to detail it!
Jack wonders if Hurley is going to tell. "Tell" what exactly?   {By the way, in Everybody Hates Hugo, Jack is concerned if Hurley told anyone other than Rose about the hatch-And Hurley did.}
Hurley tells Jack maybe they should go back. The island will do whatever it takes to bring them back, etc… Never say Never!

Jack would have killed Locke! That fucking blew my mind! What is up with him? Shouldn't Jack be happy with 'going home'.  Why not just let Locke go live his life in the jungle?  Why kill him?

"100 years!" -Jack's quote! That is tremendously important. Is it possible they all have been 'together' for 100 years?...

Desmond never tells anyone he saw Penny on the monitor before Charlie closes the door in the looking glass hatch. Why?  I find this important! Plus, whose side did he end up with? Hmmm? Oh yeah, his OWN side!!

There's SO much more, I can't wait to detail it!

So... Real Events? {No}
Flash-Forward? Flash-Back? "Island" Hallucination? Think about it!!!
Beside that, "Flashes", not in time order! If they keep going back to the "Island" then all of the "Flashes" could potentially be from different "Island" times, different "outside world" times and may be just another level!

Christian is not Jacob. Charlie dead? Ha, Not! What does dead mean when it's tied to the "Island"? Charlie was removed {or moved on} from the playing field, or the chess board, if you will.
Or, just for argument sake, could Hurley be seeing 'Charlie' from a different time.  Remember, I think they all know each other.  They would have to, especially if they keep ending up back together.

I'm shifting gears here…
We all have thoughts on who is in the casket in the Season 3 finale. I am so mad at myself for not being able to have finished transcribing my Season 3 notes in time for Season 4; because my mind wants to move forward on clues.  But it is important to me to keep all episodes in order so we can see if there is clue continuity.  But I will jot this down: Michael in the casket is an awesome and very logical possibility, I agree- But it also could be anyone. It makes me not sleep at night! Hehehe.

I don't know why this came to my mind, but here it is… I'm not counting out someone we haven't really met or gotten to know yet…'Lapidus', Frank Lapidus.  His name was brought up in Find815. I believe we may find he has a big connection to New York.   So, let's see if this is a hint and lead I need to keep following. If not, I throw that clue away.

Vocabulary and Research...
* Cannonball is round shot ammunition for a cannon. By analogy, cannonball is also the name or nickname of: A diving technique in swimming; unlike competitive diving techniques, however, its purpose is to maximize, rather than minimize, splash on water entry.
- Erwin G. "Cannon Ball" Baker, (1882-1960), man who traveled across the USA several times, and in whose honor, the Cannonball Baker Sea-To-Shining-Sea.
-And my personal favorite!- CANNONBALL "TRANSFORMERS", the Decepticon space pirate in the Transformers toy line.
-Galileo's Cannonball", the first episode of Legends of the Hidden Temple. Legends of the Hidden Temple was a physical challenge game show for kids aired on Nickelodeon.

I'm telling you, things/people aren't what we think they are. They are not what they seem! They have to go back!
They have been back!
They probably will go back again!
Maybe, they never really leave!!

Do-Over! Loop! The "Island" will do whatever 'it' takes to bring them back!

Damon, Carlton & a Polar Bear End Up In 1988

Damon Carlton and a Polar bear literally end up in 1988! Gallery1988 hosted a huge finale to the 16 week underground LOST art project.

Here's how it went down...(Click the pics)
Note LeBrea in the ad above.

Then Paul releases this video.
In the video he mentions that we probably wondered if he was kidnapped, killed or cloned. But that is not the case. He claims he's the guy rolling all those posters and putting them in tubes and sending them to you. Apparently Ronie Mifdue doesn't have a person for that. {He again mispronounces that name!} He can't give you an extra one because there's only 200. {WTF?!!} He goes on about Walt's changes and looking weird.  We're informed that for one full week the 16 weeks of artwork will be shown at Gallery1988 along with 25 different artists and their new LOST art.   He claims to have worked on a new velvet painting and then shows a glimpse of a box containing different four toed statues.
Enjoy the clip...

The event at Gallery1988 was huge.   There were even a few fans that flew in for the event.  There was tons of fun, friends, filming, t-shirts, gifts,surprises and art!  And of course a few of the creators, writers and producers were there.  Damn I wish I could meet them!!
I encourage you to head over to DarkUFO, LostARG's and The ODI for tons of pictures and accounts from fellow fans and friends who experienced the Lostness first hand.  I thank ReveredMilo for the live video feed (And mentioning Karen's LOST Notebook too) for keeping us in the LOOP!

Congratulations to all the fans that were able to purchase some fantastic LOST art!

16 weeks of underground art.   It was a totally fun time, even though I was not able to acquire a single poster.   I believe the underground art project may have been hinted to a year ago directly from Damon and Carlton in a DSA clip they sent us, along with another DSA about where the magic happens.

Over the 16 weeks we were hunters!  The hunt took us to many places and destinations; giving us more hints to the story and of course, the wonderful artwork.   It was great to see Lostie's work as a team to help each other out with their quest of acquiring a poster.   It was even more exciting to see Lostie's from all over meet up and get to know each other. That is awesome!!

Even though I did not have any luck purchasing a poster {but the "Island" gods know how hard I tried} I still came out of this with more information to add to my five plus years of clues.  The same clues that I gather from episodes were presented to us throughout our past 16 week experience with the art project as well as LOST University.

We will see what's through The Looking Glass and maybe we'll even find out who has been "watching".  Maybe we'll discover we've not only been seeing things out of order but backwards.   It could be just another level/layer to the game.
With Jack wanting to erase everything on the "Island" and begin from landing safe and sound in LA X, maybe the 1977 Castaways will wake up 10 years later in L.A. in 1988.  Who the hell knows?

But after all this time and as we head in to season six I still feel we are witnessing the Castaways experiencing an adventure with the purpose of learning who they truly are, to find themselves, {Enlightenment}, under the guise of living breathing Chess game; with computers seeming to be playing a part. I know-I'm crazy.

By the way...I refuse to admit we are nearing the end game.

Love to all who are "LOST™

Disclaimer: I never claim to know everything about the show and my thoughts by no means make me right! The things I share here are my views and/or opinions. I don't claim to catch every single detail either! You all know I hate spoilers! And I stand clear of reading certain sites as to not take me off my own course of research. The one thing I don't need to do here is rehash all of the obvious clues from an episode; we all know what they are. Understood? Let the fun begin! I'll only note things that I know come up as clues later, but need to be noted when they first show up and things I find that will be of importance.

Exodus. Part 2

Let's talk about LOST! Exodus. Part 2.
(Click the pics!)

The baby's open eye.
He's crying and Claire wants him to “Shhhhh.”
Charlie informs Claire that everybody’s leaving.
Frustrated Claire can’t go anywhere, “I've got the baby, and I'm so tired. I can't carry him. Now he's wet, there's sand everywhere, I don't have any more nappies.”
Charlie offers to help but she pushes him away.
Claire-“No, nobody ever taught me how to do this, okay?”
Charlie tells her it will be okay and she wonders why people keep telling her that, “Are they the ones with the baby?”

Sayid instructs three Lostie’s,“We've got to get there before sundown. Once you reach the caves, stay there. The rest of us will be right behind you.”
Charlie tells Sayid he needs a gun; he knows Jack gave them to him and he needs to protect Claire.
Sayid-“Rousseau said the Others wouldn't be here until nightfall.“ {It’s a good thing she knows their schedule!}
Charlie-“Rousseau is certifiable. What if they show up before then and...“
Sayid feels the last time Charlie handled a sidearm...
Charlie cuts him off acknowledging he killed a murder, doing them all a favor. Sayid feels Charlie is emotionally involved so he wants to handle the weapons.
Charlie-“But you're not here all the time. You can't protect Claire. Look, I need a gun...”
Sayid feels if Charlie really wants to help Claire he should go get her packed and carry her child to the caves,“That’s what she needs.”
Charlie nods okay and walks off.

The dynamite team is at the Black Rock. They stare at it in amazement.
Hurley wonders, “How exactly does something like this happen?”
Danielle-“Are you on the same island as I am?”
Hurley- “I guess that explains it.”
Arzt, who is wearing his wedding ring, wants them to hold on and wait, hold on. He notes they’re a couple miles inland and thinks a tsunami probably swept it here. Without a word, Danielle starts to walk back into the jungle. Jack wonders where she’s going. Danielle tells him the explosives are in the hold of the ship, she did what they asked. “You need the dynamite. You don’t need me.”
She just walks off into the jungle. {What a gal!}
Locke tells Jack to let her go, but Jack wonders who will lead them back.
Confident Locke states-“I'll lead us back.”
Arzt wants them to hold on; he came there to tell them how to handle the dynamite, not explore some ghost ship. Jack says it’s okay, Arzt can stay out there. Still in shock and puzzled by the ship, Hurley will stay and hang with "Arnzt".

Locke leads Jack and Kate into the hole on the side of the ship. They climb up steps/ladder.  Locke bumps his head into hanging chains.   Jack steps on the foot of a skeleton.  There are shackled skeletons all over the place.  There's an old huge drill bit and tools, shackles and cuffs everywhere; Some without previous persons in them.
Locke declares they are, “Slaves. This ship must have been in route to a mining colony. Probably set off from the eastern coast of Africa. Mozambique.”
You can see that the cuffs bother Kate.    Jack looks around with the aid of his flashlight and opens the door to another room.
Kate finds the explosives.

Outside Arzt is telling Hurley, “And then my 3rd wife, she says, get this, she says, 'I didn't sign up for this.' Now you tell me, what the hell is that even supposed to mean? {Hurley’s mind is somewhere else.} What, am...am I boring you?”
Hurley-“Huh?”
Arzt-“You know what? I'm, I'm sorry, I'm so... I'm sorry that I'm not cool enough to be part of your merry little band of adventurers.”
Hurley-“What?”
Arzt- “I know a clique when I see it. I teach high school, pal-y. You know, you people think you're the only ones on this island doing anything of value. I've got news for you. There were 40 other survivors of this plane crash. And we are all people, too.”
Pacifying Hurley just says, “OK.”
Kate wants to use an ax to open the crate but Jack feels they should take it outside.
Jack-“You're not prying open a crate that says explosives on the side with a pick ax, Kate.”
Locke agrees with Jack. The men carry the crate while Kate shows them the way.

Outside, worked up Arzt is just rambling on. “And it's not just the teenagers, either. You know, the gym teachers you’d think they’d let me sit with them in the cafeteria, no. They do not.”
Hurley-"Dude, this is all in your head.
Arzt-"Really? Then you explain to me why Kate gets the best pieces of wreckage to build her shelter? And the Korean guy... Does he catch fish for everybody on the Island? No, he does not. He doesn't. And some of us have actually lost weight while we were here. Now, would mind telling me where you're hiding the carbs because I can't figure...
Arzt freaks out when he sees the men moving the crate. “What the hell are you people doing?! Wait, wait, stop, stop, right where you are. Alright, I want you to put that down carefully. Put it down carefully. Put it gently, gently. Damn it! Carefully, gently. Gently. Alright, now get out of there. Come away from there. C'mon, get out. Move away from it.
Jack- "What the hell are you doing?"
Arzt-"Shhh, be quiet. Do any of you have any idea what happens to dynamite in 90+ degree heat, huh? {He opens the crate with a pocket knife.} So you know? Any of you? It sweats nitroglycerin. {Jack moves closer.} Whoa, hey, what you doing? Did I ask you to come closer? {He picks up a stick of dynamite.} Dynamite is nitroglycerin stabilized by clay. Nitroglycerin is the most dangerous and unstable explosive known to man. Hey, Kate give me your shirt. Now, princess, give me your shirt. I need to wrap the dynamite. Just throw it to me, right here. Be careful, c'mon, hurry up {She gives him her shirt.} Okay, good, now back up, backup, backup. Just backup. Get out of my way. Any of you ever hear about the guy who invented nitroglycerin? Probably not! Because he blew his freaking face off. {Arzt wets the shirt in a mud puddle and wraps the dynamite.} His lab assistant came into the room...saw that his mentor detonated, and he said, 'Huh...I guess this stuff does work.' Alright, we're not going to take any more of this stuff than we need because nitroglycerin is extremely temperamental, so we...”

BOOM!
The dynamite explodes and bits of Arzt rain down on the rest of the team.
There’s smoke where Arzt used to be. {Wow! That was a totally great disappearing trick!!}

Sun and Jin are at the Sydney airport. {The artwork behind her looks like a ladder.} She asks Jin if he wants his sandwich cut in half. “...Here you go." {She spills the coffee on him.} Calm Jin is fine; she directs him to the restroom.

Sayid is walking with airport security. Security is sorry for the inconvenience and Sayid is sure they are. But after all, his bag was unattended. Sayid asks if he’s free to go.
He is.
That’s good because he has a plane to catch.

Jin is in front of the mirror in the restroom washing up.
There is a man wearing an Island/Hawaiian shirt, washing his hands. The man asks in English if Jin can hand him a paper towel and then realizes Jin doesn’t speak English. The man speaks in Korean about the paper towel. This surprises Jin. The man reveals he works for Mr. Paik! He communicates with Jin in Korean.
The man-“I work for...Mr. Paik. Your father-in-law and employer.”
Jin-“You've been following me?”
The Man- “Yes. I know you're planning to run away. But you're going to take that watch to Mr. Paik's friend in California. You do anything else...anything… you will lose her. You are not free. You never have been, and you never will be.”
{Flash Whoosh}
On the raft, Jin looks content and Walt points out the big beautiful island to Michael. Michael wonders how a place this big never gets discovered.
Sawyer- “Don't know, but you could build yourself one hell of a beach resort right over there.”
Michael-“Yeah, you build your resort. I'm happy to say goodbye to this place forever.”
Walt wonders about everybody else, “Think they'll be okay?”
Michael tells Walt he hopes so, “At least until we can get them some help.”
Sawyer is singing Redemption Song. “This songs of freedom 'Cause all I ever have”.

Sun is at the beach just looking out to sea; and at her wedding ring.
Upset Shannon is having a very hard time moving/carrying all her baggage and Vincent. Sayid wonders if she really needs all of that and wonders why bring so much. Shannon does indeed need all of it.
Struggling Shannon-“Don't you have a hike to lead?”
When one of the suitcases falls and opens Sayid sees she is holding on to Boone’s clothes. She tells him she needs these things. “I can't just leave them. What are we doing? Hiding? As if they won't find us. It's just... it's too much. It's too much.” {She’s losing her grip.}
Compassionate Sayid strokes her hair and tells her, “It won't be too much if I carry it for you. Now come on, I have a hike to lead.”

Shocked Hurley is sitting on a log by the Black Rock with Kate.    Hurley feels what just happened is messed up, “He just … exploded in front of us. He was just trying to help. This is because I came.” Hurley feels he’s kinda bad luck.   Kate tries to assure him it was an accident.

Locke reaches for a stick of dynamite while Jack says they should think about this. Locke feels it’s the only way.
Jack- “How many do we need to blow the Hatch?”
Locke has a roll of wire/fuse. He thinks/knows, “Two should take care of the hinge. Three to be safe.”
Jack-“Safe?
As Locke takes another stick out he tells Jack, “I'm removing the driest pieces to minimize our risk transporting it. You ever play "Operation"?” {Hello! Jack's a doctor!}
Jack- “Sure. Don't touch the sides.”
Locke- "I … I always got nailed on the funny bone. Buzzzzzz!!
This makes Jack jump.
Jack-“You like to play games, John?”
Locke smiles and says, “Absolutely.”

Claire is preparing to leave and Charlie comes over with something he made.
Charlie- “Okay, I know we're in a rush to escape to the caves, so I solved the turnip head transport issue. This is just a blanket from the plane. And then there's a piece of wood here that goes through this bamboo. Here you go. It's a Bjorn. It’s Dutch for “Baby carrier.”
Happy Claire kisses his cheek and thanks him.
All of a sudden Rousseau is approaching Charlie, panicking and calling out for Sayid. She needs Sayid now! Charlie tells her he already left, but she’s insistent on Charlie getting Sayid,”There’s no time!”
Charlie tells her to calm down and he’ll get him for her and tells Claire to stay there. He leaves calling out for Sayid. Claire wonders what happened out there. Danielle is fixated on the baby and asks what his name is. Claire hasn’t named him yet. Danielle asks to hold him. Claire is getting nervous asks why she needs Sayid and tells her, “No, I just fed him. I don't think it's a good idea, okay?”
Danielle, sounding desperate-“Please”
Claire sees the 4 scratches on Danielle's arm and gets images of a struggle between Danielle and her screaming and scratching Danielle.
Claire-“When did I do that? Why did I scratch you?”
Claire looks very frightened.

Charlie is in a disheveled airport hotel room looking around for drugs/heroin. {Looks through trash can.} He wakes up the girl groupie who is lying in the bed. {She’s wearing a Poison t-shirt.} She wonders what’s going on.
Charlie-“My flight, my flight to L.A. leaves in a couple of hours… so I've got to get moving, you know.”
He finds drugs in the bathroom next to the seashell ashtray. The groupie wants to know if he wants to do one more bump for the road. Charlie informs her it’s all gone, “We did it last night. I have some champagne.”
The groupie starts freaking out and tears apart the room looking for some. “You've got to have some left.”
Charlie-“Mm-mm. No. It's done. I'll look you up next time I'm in Sydney, okay? I'll send you an autographed copy of my CD and then you can listen to it whenever you want.”
The groupie has absolutely no interest in his piece of crap CD from his piece of crap band.
Charlie-“Last night in the bar you said you were a fan.“
The groupie-"Fine, I'm a huge fan. Drive Thru is the best damned band ever. Now just give me a bump because I know you've got some.”
Charlie-“Shaft. Drive Shaft. {He takes the drugs out of his pocket when she heads to the bathroom} She sees he’s got something and he claims it’s nothing.
The groupie asks-“Holding out on me?"
Charlie-“Holding out on you? No, I'm not holding out...”
The freaked out druggie groupie corners him, attempting to retrieve what he has. Charlie wonders if she’s crazy. She kicks him and they have a struggle.
The groupie-“Let it go!” As she’s hitting him!
Charlie-“Get off!”
As she’s smacking him she tells him, “You're pathetic. You're pathetic.”
She takes the champagne and leaves, leaving Charlie on the floor with the heroin in his left hand.
{Flash Whoosh}
Charlie runs through the line of people Sayid is leading, calling out Sayid’s name. He tells Sayid that Rousseau’s on the beach and she needs him. Sayid wonders for what, but Charlie doesn’t know. They hear someone screaming for help and they start running.

At the beach camp Sun is kneeling next to Claire's body, yelling for help. They run up to her and she shows them blood on a cloth and informs them, “Her head.”
Claire is slowly regaining consciousness and asks where her baby is. Charlie looks in Aaron’s cradle and is panicked realizing the baby is gone. Sayid asks freaked out Claire if Rousseau was alone and which way did she go.
Claire {Holding her injured head}-“I don't know! She took my baby!”
Charlie tells Sayid, “This is your fault! {He punches Sayid in the face} You brought her into the camp. If you had just given me a gun.”
He swings to take another punch at Sayid and Sayid grabs his throat, “Do not hit me again. You want to waste time assigning blame? There's plenty to go around. {Pushes Charlie away} She has a head start. If we leave now we can catch her.”
Charlie wonders how; Because Sayid knows where she is going. {They seem to know their way around that Island very well!}
Claire is freaking out, “I want my baby!”
Sun is holding her.

At the Black Rock Jack and Locke are preparing the explosives for transport. Jack wants to carry all the sticks in his pack, feeling the more insulation the better.    Locke feels they should split them up, “It's not smart to keep it all together. So, we split them up. If we need 3 sticks to blow the hinge then we should bring 6 3 and 3. Failsafe, in case one of us...”
Jack suggests him and Locke.
Kate walks over informing them, “No, I'm, I'm taking one.”
Jack-“It's not going to happen, no."
Kate-“This is why I came."
Jack-“Then, you wasted a trip.
Kate-“I need to do this."
Jack-“Kate, no one owes anyone anything.”
Kate insists, “I'm carrying one."
Jack-“We're done here.”
Kate-“This is not your decision.”
Jack-“Kate, yes it is!”
Locke-“We'll draw straws. They're coming. We don't have time to argue about who gets to risk their life, so… we'll let fate decide.”
This works for Kate.
Jack asks Hurley, “What about you? You want to carry some dynamite, too?”
Jack wonders what Hurley is staring at.
Hurley informs him, “You got some Arnzt on you.”
Locke is in charge of the ‘fate sticks’, “Short sticks carry the packs.” {Jack and Kate pull a stick}”Looks like it's me and you, Kate.”
{This dialog is very important. Kate states these things as if it's written out, fact; like that is the way it's supposed to be!}

On the raft Walt, {Wearing a yellow life preserver} Michael and Jin are checking out equipment. Walt asks what this stuff does.
Michael explains, “Well, the transmitter sends out an SOS in case someone's listening. And if there's anything out there, we'll see it on this radar screen here.”
Jin and Michael seem to understand each other. Jin climbs up to the radar ‘satellite’ thingy while Michael turns on his equipment.
Michael-“Here we go. C'mon, someone find us.”
Walt sees Sawyer reading the messages from in the bottle and tells him he shouldn’t be reading those because they are private.   Sawyer, with his foot on the bottle, makes a remark regarding one message about how much Tracy missed her hubby and 2 kids back in Fresno. Yet she's sleeping next to good old Scott to keep her warm at night.
Walt corrects Sawyer, “That's Steve. Scott's dead.”
Sawyer- “Whatever. Alright, Kazoo, we've got to keep ourselves entertained. Who the hell is Hugo and how's he got a 160 million dollars to leave to his mom.”
Walt wonders how Sawyer would feel if he read his.
Sawyer shares with the kid that he can’t because he didn’t write one. The only letter he ever wrote was to the man he’s going to kill. Curious Walt asks why he’s going to kill him.
Sawyer-“Because I need to.” {Again, as if this is all supposed to be.}

We see the column of black smoke rising in the jungle. Sayid and Charlie are running toward it.
Charlie- “Are you bloody joking? Why would she go for the black smoke? Isn't that where the Others are supposed to be?”
Sayid- “The Others are precisely why she would go there. Rousseau told us she saw black smoke the day her own child was taken 16 years ago. {They arrive at the gun case} They took something from her, and now she believes she has something that they want.”
Charlie-“She's making a trade?”
Sayid believes she is. Charlie feels that’s insane, “She’s insane.”
Sayid-“Don't try to apply reason to her actions. She's a mother who lost her child, just like Claire. {As he hands Charlie a gun he tells him} This isn't about revenge. Don't make it personal.”
Claire and Sun catch up to them. Claire wants to go with them; After all it’s her baby and she let her take him. {Red streak can be seen in Claire’s hair from her head injury.}
Claire-{Hits Charlie} “Don't tell me what to do, okay!”
He tells her to calm down.
Claire feels this is her fault and she’s going and he can't stop her! Charlie whispers to her it’s alright. She starts to calm down but cries, “Get him back, Charlie. Get Aaron back.”
Charlie-“Aaron?“
Charlie promises to get him back.
We get a shot of the black smoke.

Walt and Michael are sitting, waiting at the airport. Walt is very focused on playing his video game {Like GBA}.
Michael asks him if he wants something to eat but Walt doesn’t even acknowledge him. “I guess that's a no, then. If you're worried about Vincent, he going to be okay, man. Dogs fly in the luggage compartment all the time. Alright, I've got to call work, right over there. Don't go anywhere, okay?”
Walt complete ignores him but then watches him walk away.
Michael is talking on a pay phone. “No, I live in a studio apartment. I've got to be out the door in the morning for work by 5am. Who's going to watch him? How's he going to get to school? What's he going to do after school? I can't do this, ma… You know, I was…listen, I was thinking, um … I was thinking maybe you could take him...Look, ma, if it's a question of money, I... {Locke is wheeled by in the wheelchair} Doh! What am I supposed to do with him? He's not supposed to be mine. He was never part of the plan. Yeah, I... Thanks a lot.” {He hangs up and turns around and there’s Walt just standing there.} Hey, man, I was, uh... “
Unfazed Walt-"I need new batteries." {Okay, important info! All those things Michael says are very telling. For a man who claims to be a Father who "wants" his child is pretty quick to pawn him off already, because Walt was never supposed to be his anyway!}

{Flash Whoosh}
Michael looks at Walt on the raft. Dad asks if he’d like to try steering; he can drive for a while. Walt is happily surprised.
Michael-“Absolutely. Okay now, look, the most important part of this boat is the rudder. It's how you steer. You turn it gradually, nothing sharp, okay. Push it this way.“
He guides Walt.
Walt-“Where are we going?”
Michael-“Look, {shows Walt a ‘compass’ or GPS} so, we're going approximately North by Northeast. So, hopefully that puts us into a shipping lane, or we hit some land.”
Walt-“What do I aim for?”
Michael-“See that cloud on the horizon, right there? Aim for that."
Walt asks why Michael and his mom didn’t stay together.
Dad explains they tried, “It just didn't work out, so… our lives, our interests… we just went in different directions.”  He also explains Walt never saw him because mom didn’t want him to. “She did what she thought was best for you.”
Walt-“She was wrong.”
The raft hits something and the rudder breaks. Michael says they hit a log, lost the rudder and it’s sinking. He starts directing to stop the boat; just pull the sail down.
Sawyer drives in and swims for the rudder. Walt is upset. They use a rope to help Sawyer but the rudder is sinking. Sawyer can’t reach the rope. Jin says something in Korean.
Michael tells Sawyer to “Tie it around the rudder, we'll pull you in.” And they do.
Michael pulls Sawyer up and says, “C'mon, buddy. You just saved our ass, buddy.”
But he catches a glimpse of Sawyer’s gun wrapped in his shirt. Annoyed Michael gives Sawyer his shirt, “You should put that back on before you burn.”

Jack helps Kate put on her backpack very carefully. Kate apologizes to him but Jack feels it’s all the luck of the draw. Locke informs them the sun sets in 90 minutes, give or take, so they have to hustle if they’re going to get back to the Hatch. Meanwhile they’re all moving cautiously and slowly.
Jack-“Okay, this is how we do this. I'll lead. Kate, you're right behind me, then Hurley. John, you bring up the rear. If you start to see me heading the wrong way... “
Locke-“We should stagger our formation keep a safe distance from each other.”
Jack-“Alright, we stagger. If anyone hears anything or sees anything... “
Hurley-“Like the security system that eats people?”
Jack-“Yeah, like that. You two, you take your packs off, you put them down and you run. You got it?”
They got it.
Jack-“Okay, let's do this.”
They walk single file into the jungle very slowly and carefully.

The group arrives as the caves. Shannon looks up to where Boone died.
Sun tells sad Shannon {sitting with Vincent} her brother Boone died bravely. {Shannon thanks her.
Sun-“Do you think all this… all we've been through...do you think we're being punished?”
Shannon, wonders, punished for what?
Sun-“Things we did before. The secrets we kept, the lies we told.”
Shannon-”Who do you think is punishing us?”
Sun-“Fate.”
Distraught and in shock Claire states, “No one's punishing us. There's no such thing as fate.”

Sayid and Charlie are moving very fast over a rocky area. Sayid wants Charlie to keep up because they’re losing the light. Fast Sayid pulls ahead of Charlie. We see the black smoke.
In the jungle Charlie falls behind and calls out looking for Sayid. Sayid calls from the distance, “Over here!”
Sayid notices Charlie can hardly breathe so they’re going to rest, although Charlie doesn’t want to. Sayid states matter of fact, in another mile Charlie’s going to collapse; they’re going to take a break. They are at the fallen overturned drug plane.
Out of breath Charlie asks if this is where Boone fell.
Sayid-“The plane was up there.” {He tossed Charlie a bottle of water.}
Charlie-“Where did it come from?
Sayid-“Based on the maps inside, Nigeria.”
Charlie-“Anyone on board?"
Sayid-“Two men dressed as priests.
Charlie-“Priests?”
Sayid- “Drug runners in disguise. {Tosses a statue over to him and it breaks open. {The sound it made was just like the one from Locke’s vision with Boone in Deus Ex Machina.} The plane was loaded with heroin. {He picks up his backpack.} Alright, now we go.”
Charlie stares down at the heroin. {It seems as if they were stopped there only long enough for Sayid to show him the drugs and not to rest.}

The “Dynamite team” carefully makes their way through the jungle and over a stream. Hurley asks Locke what he thinks is inside that hatch thing.

Locke-“What do you think is inside it? {Ummm, can you wish for something?!}
Hurley-“Stacks of TV dinners from the 50's, or something. And TVs...with cable, some cell phones, clean socks, soap, Twinkies! You know, for dessert, after the TV dinners. Twinkies keep for, like, 8000 years, man.”
Locke chuckles, “I like Twinkies, too.”
Hurley asks what he really thinks is inside.
Locke- chuckles again, “Hope. I think hope's inside.” {Listen to him there.}
As they walk on, a giant bird screeches and flies away.
Hurley feels “Whoever named this place Dark Territory? Genius.”
The clicking {adding machine type} sound of the monster can be heard. {Note vibrant color flowers.} Jack and Kate see a stream of black smoke fly through the jungle. {You can hear the flutter of large wings.}
Kate acknowledges to Jack she saw it and they’ve got to get out of there. Locke stands fixated and waiting. There is a loud bird screech, more wings flapping and then the ground explodes open, shiiiiing, metallic sounds like heavy doors/gates/ crumbling-folding in metal, releasing the monster. The group hurries away, {Jack removes his backpack} except for Locke. Locke puts his pack down and excitedly follows the giant “footsteps” and growls. Jack calls out to him and for a second is torn on which way to run; With Kate and Hurley or to get Locke.
Jack ops to go after Locke; who is following the monster. {Listen to the sounds here. Now there’s like an engine winding up or down.}
The monster sounds quiet down and Locke stands still. All of a sudden the ground explodes right next to Locke, knocking him down. {The sounds are the clackity/clickty clack of a crank, ratchet, chain and pulley.}
Locke now seems afraid and he tries to get away from it. {Now the sounds add a small engine (fan) plane flying, propellers, chink, clanging, either a scream or something like a hog-pig squeal and pings.}

Jack runs after him.
Kate and Hurley realize Jack isn’t there.
The clicky clack of the monster pulley is pulling Locke by his legs. He is calling out as Jack runs after him.
Jack dives onto the ground and grabs hold of Locke before the monster can drag him down into a hole in the ground. Jack tells Kate he needs the dynamite. {Kate takes off her backpack} No, no, it's in my pack. Just go get it. Hurry, go. John, John.”
Locke-"Let me go. Just let me go. I'll be alright."
Jack refuses to let Locke go.
Locke-“Let me go. I'll be alright.”
Kate tells him to “Hang on. I've got it.”
Jack-“Careful unwrapping it.” Then he wants her to throw it in.
Locke- “No!”
Kate’s concern is it'll blow them up.
Jack-“Just hurry, I can't hold him.”
Locke begs her not to.
Jack commands her, “Throw it in… now, Kate!”
Kate throws the dynamite in. There’s an explosion and a cloud of black smoke rises up way behind Locke. Jack and Kate pull Locke up. {Where is Hurley this whole time? Plus Kate did NOT take her backpack off when she ran! (She's supposed to have the dynamite in her pack. Did you hear whispers here at all?)

On the raft we see Jin's watch on the language/character notes Sun made for him Michael asks Jin about the notes Jin’s wife made for him.
Jin, “Sun.”
Michael-“She sounded it out, huh? So you could learn English?”
Michael-“Yeah, I wish she had made one for me. So what words are in here? English words… what can you say?”
Jin-“Ah, um, starboard, aft, port, sail, eat.
Michael- “Right. She did you well. I hope you know how lucky you are, man. {Jin fixed the rudder} Back in business? Alrighty. {Michael gives the watch back to Jin} Oh, hey, it's yours."
Jin offers the watch to him, “You.” Michael thanks him.

Sun made depressed Claire some tea. She thinks Aaron is a beautiful name, “What does it mean?” Claire doesn’t know what it means.
Sun-“They will bring him back.”
Claire-“Don't say that.”
Sun-“They will.”
Claire-“How do you know that?”
Sun feels it’s because Charlie said he would bring her baby back.

Charlie and Sayid run through the jungle. Charlie sees a blanket on the ground and is happy to grab it. Sayid warns him to wait. It is a trap! A log was wrapped in the blanket and net filled with rocks falls on him. Charlie is cut above his left eye and it’s bleeding; they need to put pressure on it. Charlie is in pain; he calls Danielle an animal. Sayid explains she’s been here for 16 years so she’s learned how to set traps quickly. “Okay, let's have a look. It's too deep. It's bleeding too much. You're going to have to go back.”
Charlie-“No, I'm not going back. You're going to have to fix it.”
Sayid-” I'm not a doctor.
Charlie-“You're a soldier. What do people do when you get wounded? I'm not going back without that baby, Sayid.”
Sayid preps a remedy from gunpowder. He  has Charlie remove the towel and tilt his head back. He pours the gunpowder onto the wound. Charlie grunts/growls out in pain.
Sayid takes out a match and tells him, “This is not going to be pleasant. You ready?...1-2-3.”
Sayid puts the match on the gunpowder and Charlie screams.

Hurley is sound asleep in a hotel room. He wakes up to find the alarm clock and lamp aren’t working; seeing that an electrical outlet has literally burned out. He freaks out because he’s running LATE!

As he’s packing he calls down to the desk telling them he needs his car, he can’t miss his flight as tomorrow is his mom’s birthday.

Hurley runs to the elevator, pushes the ‘downbutton, but it is full. He spots the exit and runs toward it!
Charlie in the elevator yells, “Some of us have a bloody flight to make.
Hurley politely runs through the lobby.

He drives his car to the airport, but it breaks down. He is freaked!
A plane flies overhead.
He runs to the airport...

Hurley politely runs through the airport.
At the check in counter the ticket agent is checking him in. He'd like her to hurry this up. "My mom's birthday is tomorrow...or, today... I don't know. I don't really get the whole time change thing, but I've got to make that flight."
The ticket agent tells him she's "going as fast as the system will allow me, dear. You're confirmed for seat 20G. However, the airline has a policy that a man of your size must purchase two tickets."
After a moment of discussing him and weight, Hurley has her book the one next to him. He's informed his flight is already boarding in the Oceanic international terminal and they're in the domestic terminal, "I don't think you're meant to make this flight, dear."

Hurley politely runs through the airport lugging his two bags, down stairs, up the escalator and all the way to the front of the security checkpoint line. He excuses himself, as this is an emergency and he's got to cut through. {NOTE: At this point is only has 1 suitcase!}

Security demands he get to the back of the line. Hurley leaves.
We see Arzt is in line complaining about a passenger taking out his computer.
Hurley notices an old guy on a motorized scooter and offers him $500 to borrow it.
The old man confesses he just had a hip replacement, "I need this thing"{He's wearing a CRAZY 8's Casino (dice) hat.}
Hurley-"OK, 1600 bucks."
Hurley scooters, excusing his way through the airport, passing a girls soccer team with the "numbers" on the back of their shirt. He gets to the gate as they are closing the door.
Hurley crashes into the seats and yells, "Hey, hold it. Hold the door. Hold the door. Hold the door. I've got to get on this flight."
The gate agent tells him the jetway's closed.
Hurley-"Please, for the love of all that is good and holy in the world, let me on this plane." He feeds the ticket into the machine.
The agent says alright, one second and picks up the phone, "Hunter, this is Jenna, we've got one more... ta. {to Hurley} This is your lucky day"
Hurley gives Jenna a big hug.

At night, Hurley is walking in the jungle whispering 15, 16, 23, 42, 4, 15, 16, 23, 42, 4, 15, 16, 23, 42, 4, 15, 16. . . He takes a HUGE breath where 8 should be.
Kate asks if he said something, "I thought I heard 23."
He asks if that number, 23 means something to her.
Kate-"The guy who called the Feds on me back in Australia, did it for a 23,000 dollar reward. Mean something to you?"
Hurley-"Nah, it's just a number. We better catch up...can barely see them."
Locke- "We shouldn't be this close to each other, Jack."
Jack-"If we blow up, we blow up. What the hell was all that about back there, John?"
Locke- What was what about?"
Jack-" You asked me to let you go"
Locke-" That's right."
Jack-"That thing was taking you down the hole and you asked me to let you go"
Locke-"It wasn't going to hurt me."
Jack-"No, John, it was going to kill you."
Locke-"I seriously doubt that."
Jack-"Look, I need for you...I need for you to explain to me what the hell's going on inside your head, John. I need to know why you believe that that thing wasn't going to..."
Locke-"I believe that I was being tested."
Jack-"Tested?"
Locke-"Yeah, tested. I think that's why you and I don't see eye-to-eye sometimes, Jack ... because you're a man of science."
Jack-"Yeah, and what does that make you?"
Locke-"Me, well, I'm a man of faith. Do you really think all this is an accident. That we, a group of strangers survived, many of us with just superficial injuries?
Do you think we crashed on this place by coincidence, especially, this place? We were brought here for a purpose, for a reason, all of us. Each one of us was brought here for a reason."
Jack-"Brought here? And who brought us here, John?"
Locke-"The Island. The Island brought us here. This is no ordinary place, you've seen that, I know you have. But the Island chose you, too, Jack. It's destiny."
Jack-"Did you talk with Boone about destiny, John?"
Locke-"Boone was a sacrifice that the Island demanded. What happened to him at that plane was a part of a chain of events that led us here...that led us down a path, that led you and me to this day, to right now."
Jack-"And where does that path end, John?"
Locke-"The path ends at the Hatch. The Hatch, Jack, all of it... all of it happened so that we could open the Hatch."
Jack-"No, no, we're opening the Hatch so that we can survive."
Locke-"Survival is all relative, Jack.
Jack-"I don't believe in destiny."
Locke-"Yes, you do. You just don't know it yet. "

Walt is sleeping on the raft. Sawyer is at the radar equipment. He and Michael share concerns about turning on the equipment every hour and running out of battery. They're 15 miles out. They turn it on because Sayid said "every hour" and get nothing; 5 minutes, no more.

Sawyer-"Aye, aye. You know what I like about you, Mike? You've got the patience of a saint"
Michael-"Yeah? Why do you say that?"
Sawyer-"I've seen the way he talks to you, the way he runs around, does whatever the hell he wants. I'd have showed him the back of my hand a long time ago."
Michael-"You would, huh?"
Sawyer-"A hell of a lot cheaper than a shrink."
Michael-"Is that what your father did to you? Show you the back of his hand?"
Sawyer-"My daddy never got a chance to beat me. He shot himself when I was 8."
Michael-"Is that why you want to die, man?"
Sawyer-"What?"
Michael-"Since the day you told me you wanted on this raft, I couldn't figure it out. Why does a guy who only cares about himself want to risk his life to save everyone else? The way I see it, there's only 2 choices...you're either a hero or you want to die."
Sawyer-"Well, I ain't no hero, Mike."
There's a blip on the radar screen; it starts beeping.
Sawyer- "Is that what I think it is?"  {What do you "think/wish" it is?}
Michael is concerned,"Something's out there although they don't see anything out there.

Locke sits in his wheelchair at the gate while people are boarding the plane. Jenna apologizes to Locke because the special wheelchair they use for loading the disabled passengers is..."no one knows where it is and unless they find it, they're not sure they can get you on."
Concerned Locke knows there's not another fight until tomorrow. Another attendant suggests they carry him on. So they carry him on and deliver him to his seat. {Note crutches in on the plane.} Michele tells him if there's anything he needs he can just press the call button. Locke takes a flight safety brochure out of the seat pocket and it falls. Unfortunately he cannot reach it to pick up.

Locke, Jack, Kate, and Hurley arrive at the Hatch. Locke wants Hugo to take the extra sticks back a couple hundred yards.
Hurley asks for the flashlight, "Because, uh, the torch with the dynamite thing, that's not making a whole lot of sense to me."
{Locke calls Hurley, Hugo! Jack and Kate don't even flinch!}
Jack hands him the flashlight and takes the torch.
Hurley leaves.
Locke has Kate run the fuse while he and Jack will rig the charges.

In the distance we see the smoke is coming from a fire on the beach. Charlie wonders what that is. {This fire burns on a beach not inland/jungle.}
Sayid-"There's no footprints, no tracks"
Charlie's curious, "This is it? This is the black smoke? Where are they?"
Sayid doesn't know. They hear a baby cry.
Charlie-"She's here."
Sayid calls out for Danielle and Charlie demands she come out right now. They hear Danielle crying.
Sayid-"Danielle! I can hear you, come out. Please, he needs his mother."
She comes out.
Sad and dazed Danielle tells them, "They were not here."
Sayid-"Danielle, you have to give us the baby."
Danielle cries-"I just wanted my Alex back. I thought if I gave them the baby..."
Sayid tells her it's okay he knows; he takes the infant and hands it over to Charlie.
Charlie-"I've got him. There never were any Others. You started the fires yourself."
Danielle-"No, I heard them whispering."
Charlie-"You're a nut job. You heard nothing."
Danielle-"I heard them say they were coming for the child. The Others said they were coming for the boy."
Charlie-"You're pathetic."
Danielle just cries.

On top of the Hatch Locke and Jack set the up the explosives.{Like a pyramid/triangle.}
Locke-"Wire. Hold that end. Now the fuse." {He wires the 3 together.}
Jack will do it. Kate lets him know this is as far as it goes.
Locke-"It's far enough. I'll light it. You take cover, there'll be enough burn time for me to get clear."
Jacks calls out for Hurley.
Annoyed Kate asks Jack, "So, what was that about back there?"  About him putting the dynamite in his pack.
Jack-"I made a judgment call."
Kate-"We drew straws."
Jack-"Sorry, I'm not going to let drawing straws make decisions like that for us, Kate."
Kate-"You had no right to make that choice..."
Jack-"Everybody wants me to be a leader until I make a decision that they don't like. You want to keep second guessing me, Kate? That's your call. There's something that you need to know... if we survive this, if we survive tonight...we're going to have a Locke problem. And I have to know that you've got my back."
Kate-"I've got your back."
Locke asks them, "Are we ready?"
Hurley wants them to wait a sec. He drops his flashlight on the Hatch and sees the "numbers".
Hurley runs, yelling, "No, no, no! Stop! Stop, we can't do this! Stop! Wait! Stop we can't do this! Stop it! Stop it! We can't! Stop! Don't light it! We can't do this! We can't do this. Stop! Wait! You've got to stop it the numbers are bad!"
Locke lights the fuse.
Hurley-"Stop! What are doing?! Why did you do that?! The numbers are bad! The numbers are bad!...."
He tries to stamp out the fuse.
Jack tackles him just before the hatch explodes!

The beeping continues on the radar screen. Sawyer wants the flare gun because it's closer. Jin points to his two eyes indicating he doesn't see anything. Michael's concerned because he only has one flare. Sawyer wonders what they're expecting to see, "In case you haven't noticed, it's dark."
Walt asks if it's a ship.
Michael tells "Little man" they don't know.
Jin asks Starboard or Port. Michael figures out-Port.
Jin says something to him in Korean and Michael totally understands him and answers, "What am I supposed to do about that?"
Sawyer tells Han and Chewie to slow down a second and talk to me here; they have to fire the flare. Michael says it could anything; a piece of floating junk. He doesn't even know if Sayid's radar works.
Sawyer-"Have you ever known that guy to fix something up that don't work?" {Huh?!}
Walt yells "It's moving away."
Sawyer-"Floating junk that knows how to steer, huh?"
Michael-"We are moving. It doesn't make..."
Sawyer asks if he's gonna give him the gun, or is he going to have to take it. Walt warns them it's almost gone! Michael decides to go ahead and fires the flare. Jin lowers the sail.
They watch it launch. Walt informs them it's coming back. They're all happy.
Jin tells them, "Shhhh."    Points to his ear indicating for them to listen. {I only hear the sound of the waves/water.}
Out of the complete darkness a bright light turns on; they shield their eyes.
They are happy and wave to the light!
A bearded man is on a shitty boat.
Two men and a blond woman are with him. He asks what they are doing that far out there. Michael tells them a plane crashed and they were on the island for months. {Or did he say a month?} He rambles on about flight 815 and the group of people on the island. The bearded man in unimpressed but amused, says it's a good thing they found them. The bearded man informs them they're gonna have to take the boy.
Michael asks what's going on here, "Who are you people?"
The bearded man just wants him to give them the boy.
Sawyer is pissed. Michael is not giving him anybody. Sawyer quietly reaches for the gun tucked in his back waistband.
The bearded guy says, "Well, alright then." {There is a gunshot}
Sawyer pulls his gun out and a man shoots Sawyer. He falls in the water; Jin goes in after him. A man snatches up Walt. Walt is screaming for his dad to help. Michael tries to fight off the man but gets thrown in the water. Walt is screaming for "Daaaad!"
The blond woman tosses a Molotov cocktail onto the raft; it explodes.
The shitty boat pulls away with screaming Walt.
Michael screams out for "Waaaaaalt!"

Claire waits in the caves. Sayid and Charlie enter victorious and hand Claire Aaron.
Charlie has a Virgin Mary Statue in his pocket.
Claire boards the plane. Sawyer, Jack and Charlie, Sayid, Jin {has the watch}, Sun, Michael and Walt all board the plane. On board Sayid looks at a picture of Nadia. Boone gives Shannon her inhalers.
Hurley makes the flight! He gives thumbs up to Walt {Playing a video game} as he walks by him. Hurley puts his headphones on and reads his comic book. Arzt helps Claire with her bags.

At the open Hatch, Locke and Jack look down into the very long dark hatch with a broken ladder.

Exodus is a GREAT episode!!
The conversation Arzt has with Hurley made me feel like nobody else exists there except for the main survivors/Losties.
We see that they all have something to carry, but it seems that it’s mostly emotional baggage and baggage of past wrongs.
Locke and his comfort with the “monster” is interesting but not surprising. He isn’t afraid and wants to go with it.
What I hear Michael say in the "Flash" sticks with my thoughts of Michael only being a "figure" in Walt's life, not "father".
I feel that even here in the first season we are seeing their "lives" having been lived already, done before. Their actions and words seem to show that they are very familiar with the "Island", its places on it and their roles on it.
My next post will be my thoughts and theory on what's going on up to this point. This episode had so much going on!

Things to Note...Questions to ask...
Eyes. Eye color.

The numbers are all around Hurley,
Hurley feels he is bad luck. Draw Straws. Good Luck. Fate.
Drugs. Poison.
Danielle takes Aaron. The Others take Walt.
There's NO footprints, no tracks.
Destiny.
The Path.  Light. Journey.
How does Locke know so many details about the Black Rock? {Among other things too.} Hmmm?!
Locke absolutely loves to play games, indeed!
Locke and Hurley "almost" don't get on the plane.
The sounds associated with the “Monster” aka “Security System” are crazy. There is not one distinct characteristic of it. It seems to layer sounds on top of one another. Flutter/flapping of large wings, loud screech, shiiiiing, metallic sounds like heavy doors/gates/ crumbling-folding in metal, giant “footsteps”, growls, there’s like an engine (fan) winding up/down, clackety/clickity clack of a crank, ratchet, chain and pulley, small engine plane flying, propellers, chink, clanging, either a screams or something like a hog-pig squeals and pings, then the ground explodes open. But one thing is for sure…it sounds machine based.

This episode had hints to people and the direction they are taking and/or should be taking or are being guided to take.  Where does the path lead?  Are Jack and Locke getting closer or further away from their destiny?
Exodus...Mass departure...Does someone usually 'lead' an exodus? Hmmm?!? There seems to be a few people vying to lead. With that said, I wonder if we do have someone who is the leader.  I’ll leave season one with this…This may be Locke’s game but what is Hurley's very important function in this place? Who or what is "the Island"?

Disclaimer:I never claim to know everything about the show and my thoughts by no means make me right! The things I share here are my views and/or opinions. I don’t claim to catch every single detail either! You all know I hate spoilers! And I stand clear of reading certain sites as to not take me off my own course of research. The one thing I don’t need to do here is rehash all of the obvious clues from an episode, we all know what they are. Understood? Good! Let the fun begin! I’ll only note things that I know come up as clues later, but need to be noted when they first show up and things I find that will be of importance! It will get very exciting as we progress into the story.
