Follow the Leader.

Let's talk about LOST! Follow the Leader.

Dan demands Richard tells him where the Hydrogen Bomb is, “The one I told your people to bury.” Richard wants Dan to lower his gun so they can talk, “Nobody has to get hurt here.”
Dan’s gonna give Richard three seconds… {Where’s Eloise? Where’s the bomb?}

Kate asks Jack what Dan’s doing in there, “Jack, he’s crazy.”
Jack- “Is he? What if this is why we’re here? What if this is our one chance to put things back the way they’re supposed to be?”
A shot rings out and Dan is down. Jack wants to run over to Dan but Kate fears Jack will get shot too; she tells him they have to get out of there now.

Charles Widmore comes galloping over and hits Jack with his rifle.   Another Other tells Kate, “Don’t move!”
Widmore kicks Jack and asks, “And just who the bloody hell may you be?” {This is bloody Jack. Lol}

Eloise crouches over dead Dan. She thumbs through the journal landing on the sentiment she left Dan on the first page.  Dead Dan just stares up. {Creepy} Charles enters the camp with his two prisoners and asks Eloise what happened.
Richard- “This man walked into camp and put a gun to my head and Eloise reacted.”
Widmore found his prisoners “crouched in the bushes, like rats.”
The two prisoners came there with Dan. Eloise tells them to, “Put them in my tent.”
Charles asks Eloise, “Do you care to tell me, Eloise, who he is and why The Dharma Initiative seems to have declared war on us?”
She tells him these people aren’t from The Dharma Initiative.
Charles-“Then where the hell are they from?”
Richard just observes.

Thirty Years Later:
(Click the pics!)

Richard, wearing his reading glasses, is building an old sailing vessel in a glass bottle. He is literally working with tweezers to hoist a sail. {Looks like the Black Rock}

A female member of the camp runs up to Richard to announce “He’s here.”
John Locke arrives carrying a dead boar over his shoulders and announces “I brought dinner.”    These campers are drying fish on a line. {Michael said the others ate dried fish.} Richard seems confused to see him, “John?”

John shakes his hand, “Hello Richard, It’s been a while.”
Richard chuckles and remarks it’s been three years. He asks what happened, “Where were you?”

John will explain on the way. John tells Richard it’s going to be night soon, “You and I have an errand to run and we don’t have a lot of time.”
Richard stares at John with confusion.
John-“What’s wrong?”
Richard feels there’s something different about him.
John agrees and smiles, “I have a purpose now.”
Then Richard sees beaten Ben and Sun walk into the beach camp. Richard wants to know what “he’s/Ben” doing there.
John- “He helped me get back.” {Did he know Ben would ‘kill’ him?}

Sun asks Ben why Locke said these were his people, “I thought they were yours?”
Ben explains when he left the island John stepped in, “He’s the leader now.”
Sun doesn’t know the man talking with John.
Ben shares this is Richard Alpert, “He’s a kind of…adviser. And he has had that job for a very, very long time.”
This triggers Sun to get out the photo {minus the frame} of the 1977 Dharma recruits she was shown by Christian and asks Richard if he was there in 1977.   She’s asks if he remembers any of them. {Watch John} Richard admits he was here 30 years ago and he remembers meeting these people very clearly because he watched them all die.

Sun sits staring at Jin's wedding ring.   John offers her a drink of water. Sun asks John if he thinks it’s true; that they’re all dead.
John- “I don’t think we went through all this for nothing, Sun.”
Richard’s ready. John asks him if he still has that compass he gave him and indeed Richard does still have the rusty compass; she can still find north.
John invites Ben to go along.
Ben sarcastically replies, “Why, John, don’t you trust me here with my former people? Afraid I’ll stage a coup.”
John isn’t afraid of anything Ben can do anymore. In that case Ben would love to go. John tells Sun to stay here, “We’ll be back in a couple of hours. I’ll see what I can find out. But whatever happens Sun, you have my word. If there’s a way for you and Jin to be together again, if there’s a way to save our people, I’ll find it."

Kate is getting roughed up by a Hostile.
Jack- “Take it easy on her!”
The Hostile kicks Jack in the face, “Don’t talk. Understand?”
Kate chats with bloody Jack. “You know, before we were caught, you said we needed to put things back the way they were supposed to be. What did you mean by that?”
Jack feels if they can do what Faraday said, then their plane never crashes, “Flight 815 lands in Los Angeles and everyone we lost since we got here…they’d all be alive.”
Kate -“And what about us? We just…go on living our life…because we never met.”
Jack seems fine with wiping away the all the misery, “…Wipe it clean. It never happened.”
Kate feels it wasn’t all misery.
Jack- “Enough of it was.” Eloise enters the tent asking about the man she shot, “What did he need the bomb for?”
Jack doesn’t think Eloise would believe the story.
Eloise shares, when she was “17 years old, I took a young man to the bomb. He proceeded to tell me that if we buried it underground, that things would work out splendidly. When I asked him how he could be so sure…he said that he was from the future. And then he disappeared, right in front of my bloody eyes. 10 minutes ago I shot that man in the back. And before he died…he told me that he…he said he was my son.”
She wants Jack to explain to her, and she gives her word she’ll believe him.

 Eloise shows Jack her handwriting in the journal but doesn’t remember writing it. Jack admits it’s because she hasn’t written it yet. Jack knows it’s hard for her to understand but what she just did was an accident but he thinks there’s a way for her to take it all back.

Jack goes on to say her son came back there because her son figured out a way to change things, “He doesn’t have to be dead. You don’t have to have killed him.” If they do what’s written in that journal, none of this will have happened. Eloise asks Kate if Jack knows what he’s talking about.
Kate, with tears in her eyes replies, “He thinks he does.”
Eloise will take them to the bomb but explains there’s a small issue. They secured it over 20 years ago underground, but since that time it appears that someone has built an entire village over it. The Dharma Initiative.
Eloise- “It appears that you two have been passing yourself off as members so, I suppose coming and going will be relatively simple.”
Jack thinks it might be a little more complicated than that.

In the Security station Radzinsky shows Jim the video tape with Kate and demands he reveal where she is. Jim wants his lawyer.
Radzinsky starts roughing up Jim {His way of getting answers} while cuffed red shirt Juliet watches. Horace, who is still in charge orders Radzinsky to stop, but fired up Radzinsky feels he’s the one in charge now. “If we’re gonna protect our people and all the work we’re doing here, you don’t have the stomach for what happens next.”
Radzinsky gives Jim one last chance to tell where Kate is or he will kill Jim.

Radzinsky continues beating up Jim, “You ready to talk now?”
Bloody Jim says,”Nope.”
Juliet is getting upset. Radzinsky is getting tired of this, but still demands to know “where your girlfriend took the boy. She bring him to the Hostiles? You know where they are?”
Juliet begs Radzinsky to stop beating on Jim, but he won’t stop. “Tell me what I want to know!”
Juliet pleads with him, “We have known each other for three years. We are not bad people. We are not here to hurt you.”
Jim, who’s on the ground tells Juliet “Don’t...Whatever you tell them...they aint gonna believe you. It’s only gonna get more people hurt.”
She looks heartbroken. Horace asks what they’re doing there because beating him is pointless, “He’s not gonna talk.”
Phil feels he can make Jim talk so Phil punches Juliet in the face. This pisses off Jim, “Son of a bitch! You’re a dead man, Phil! I’m gonna kill you.”
Mitch comes in to tell Mr. Radzinsky that there’s still no sign of Miles or Jin. “But the recruits from last week, I got their sub’s manifest from Amy there were three last minute add-ons. They were the two people that shot at you …Shephard and Austen, and one guy we can’t track down. He’s gotta be a part of this.”
Radzinsky- “Who the hell is Hugo Reyes?”
Phil- “He’s the fat guy.”

Hugo the Chef is in the Dharma food pantry packing heavily for his trek to the beach. The security alarm is buzzing in Dharmaville. Hugo, his filled food backpack and guitar case leave Dharmaville and head into the jungle. Dr. Cheng sees him from afar.

Hugo meets up with Miles and Jin, shows him his food stash and asks what the rescue plan is. Miles tells him there is no rescue plan because they’re headed to the beach; that’s why they sent him for food. Hugo’s concerned because, “But they got Sawyer and Juliet.”
Miles acknowledges there are 30 of them and they all have guns, “The only people we can rescue is ourselves.”
Hugo feels they gotta do something because he knows, “Sawyer would never leave us behind.”
They hear rustling in the grass; it’s Dr. Cheng. He wants to know what the boys are up to. Cheng walks right up to Miles, “Your friend Faraday said that you were from the future. I need to know if he was telling the truth.”
Hurley-“Dude, that’s ridiculous.”
Cheng starts questioning Hugo, “What years were you born?”
Hugo- “1931.” {Making him 46. lol}
Cheng- “So you fought in the Korean war?”
Hugo hesitates then forces out, “There’s no such thing.”
Hurley’s asked- “Who’s the president of the United States?”
Hurley, apparently not knowing the answer breaks down and admits they are from the future. Cheng walks up to Miles, with a bit of excitement in his eyes, and asks Miles if it’s true, “You are my son?”
Yep, it’s true.
Cheng reveals to Miles that his friend the physicist told him to evacuate everyone he could off the island because there will be a massive accident the Swan, “Now is that true?”
Miles thinks for a second and tells dad that “He’s been right about everything so far. If Faraday said get people off the island, I’d do it.”    {WHAT?! He’s been right about everything so far? Really?!}
Cheng- “Well, let’s hope he knows what he’s doing.”

Dead Dan stares at the sky. Charles crouches beside him and asks Richard why this man looks so familiar. Eloise walks over with a blanket to cover Dan’s body and tells Richard that he and Eric are going with her. She tells Richard to untie the prisoners and give her a moment with Dan. Eloise covers Dan and closes his eyes. She tells Charles she’s taking them to the bomb. Charles touches her stomach and you can hear him in whispers say, “Are you insane?…I‘m worried about you…Not in your condition.”
Jack asks Richard, “Who is he?”
Richard says the man he’s asking about is Charles Widmore, “He and Eloise are...Let’s just say love can be complicated.” {Does Richard carry a torch for her?}
Kate’s still teary eyed. Eloise and her group move out.

Richard carries a torch while John leads him and Ben through the jungle. Richard asks John if he’s ready to tell him where he’s been the last three years.

John looks a bit confused, “You really don’t know?”
Richard knows that the day that Ben here turned the wheel that he and John were sitting on a log, “there was a bright light and a loud noise and then you just…disappeared.”
Well Richard is about to see where John disappeared to. After they’re finished with that, John would like Richard to take him to see Jacob. Ben and Richard stop, stunned at by what John wants. Ben speaks with caution, “That’s...not how it works, John.”
John asks Richard if that’s true; is this gonna be a problem?
Richard, also seeming hesitant, “You just got back, John, there’s no reason to rush into...”
John- “I am the leader now. Right?”
Richard confirms he is.
Good.
Richard can take John to Jacob.
John- “Let’s keep moving. We’re almost to the plane.”
Concerned Ben asks, “What plane?”

They arrive at the beech craft; the one used to smuggle heroin; flew out of Nigeria and crashed here. John tells Richard to listen carefully, “because you’re only gonna have about three minutes get this right.”
“To get what right?” asks Richard.
John-“A man’s about to walk out of the jungle. He’s been shot in the leg. You’ll need this to get the bullet out.” {Gives him a satchel} Richard isn’t following/grasping.
John insists he listen, “This is the important part. You’re gonna need to tell him he has to bring everyone who left back the island. And when he asks how to do that, you tell him he’s gonna have to die.”
Just then they see a man walk out of the jungle.
Ben- “Who is that man John?”
John smiles, “Me.”
Flash/shot- John tourniquets his leg with his belt. He hears someone coming and draws his knife. It's Richard. John is surprised to see him, “What is happening?”
Richard tells him that what's happening is that he's bleeding to death...I need to get the bullet out.”
He breaks out a medical kit.
John-“How did you know there was a bullet my leg?”
Richard- “Because you told me there was, John.”
John-“No. No, I didn't.”
Richard- “Well, you will.”
Observing this scene is Ben and John.
Ben- “This must be quite the out of body experience.”
John-“Something like that.”
Ben remarks that his timing was impeccable, “How did you know when to be here?”
John- “The Island told me. Didn't it ever tell you things?”
Ben- “No, John and clearly it hasn’t told you where to find Jacob or you wouldn’t need Richard to show you.”
John accuses Ben of never having seen Jacob. A whoosh and thud can be heard. Richard in the visual playback with John is now alone.
Ben- “What just happened? Where did you go?” {Hugo}
John- “To give Richard his compass back.”
Richard walks over to John, “You want the bullet?” {Bullet is held by Richard's tweezers.}
John- “Keep it.”
John asks Richard if everything went okay.
Richard feels “Flash” John seemed pretty convinced, especially when he told John he’d have to die.
Richard’s certainly glad that didn’t have to happen.   John confesses it did.  He suggests they get back to camp. Ben and Richard share interesting eye communication.

Dr. Cheng heads down the stairs to the Security Station telling all they need to evacuate the island of all non essential personnel. He walked in on the bloody interrogation of LaFleur and Juliet. Cheng wants to know what’s going on.
Radzinsky- “Aren’t you supposed to be at the Swan right now, Chen? We’re supposed to break ground in less than 20 hours.”
Cheng explains they’re under imminent threat, “If we start drilling, there’s a high probability of a cataclysmic accident.”
Radzinsky insists they are drilling on schedule. Cheng turns to Horace, who he assumes is still in charge, for help.
Radzinski cuts him off announcing “He’s not in charge anymore. This is my decision. And it’s been made. We keep working” {Who the fuck is Radzinsky really?!}
Jim interjects by revealing Cheng is right; it aint safe. Put the woman and children on the sub, but he wants for him and Juliet to go on the sub also, in exchange for Intel on the whereabouts of the Hostiles. Jim asks “Sweetheart” if she’s okay with that. And yep, she is.
Radzinsky says if Jim wants on that sub, “Draw me a map. I wanna know exactly where the Hostiles are.”

At the stream Eloise asks if “You two know how to swim?”
Kate wonders why they just don’t go around it.
Eloise smirks, “No dear, we need to go in. We have to swim under the pond to get to the tunnels.”
Kate decides she’s not going, she’s gonna go back and find everyone else. She tells Jack she can’t go any further with him, not this time. Jack tells her she can’t go back there now, “they know about us. They tried to kill us.”
Kate- “And what are you trying to do?”
No answer.
Kate- “Bye, Jack.”   She runs off. Eric aims his rifle at Kate, “You’re not going anywhere.”
Jack gets protective of Kate.
Eloise- “We’re not in the habit of telling our secrets to strangers then just letting them saunter off. Kate, with her back to them, says she doesn’t care about their secrets she just wants to leave. Jack tells Eric to lower his gun, “If she wants to leave she can leave!”
Eric fires a shot and Kate actually stops in her tracks to see if she’s been hit. She has not. Sayid pops up from the bushes and fired the shot killing Eric.
Eloise and Richard put their hands up as if surrendering.

Richard asks Eloise what are we doing here, “That man just killed one of our own people and you’re acting like it doesn’t matter. Eloise feels if these people are right about what they’re about to do, it won’t matter.
Richard- “And what are they about to do?”

Sayid questions Jack, “So you’re telling me we’re going to erase the last three years of our lives?” Excited Jack feels they can change things.
Sayid doesn’t know if Jack’s aware of him already changing things, “I killed Benjamin Linus. And we’re all still here.”
Kate- “It’s because you didn’t kill him.”
She shares that she and Sawyer took Ben to the Others so that they could save him.
Sayid- “Why did you do that?”
Kate-"...Since when did shooting kids and blowing up Hydrogen Bombs become ok?”
Jack- “The three of us disappeared off that plane and ended up here, ended up now because this is our chance to change things.”
Kate-”And if you’re wrong then everyone on the Island dies. Do you understand that?”
Jack-“I’m not wrong, Kate! This is it. This is why we’re here….This is our destiny.”
Kate accuses him of sounding like Locke, the guy who Jack said was crazy.
Jack- “
Well, Maybe I was wrong.”
Kate- “No you were right.”
So she’s going back to find the rest of their people because if I can’t stop him then maybe they can. Kate heads off.

The PA system announces "The sub will part in 30 minutes. All evacuees please proceed to the dock."

Miles looks through binoculars at the people entering the sub. He sees young Charlotte and her mom get out of the van, then his dad, mom and infant self.   Miles observes his dad yelling at his mom {Lara} to leave now.

Hurley asks why the dads yelling at her. Miles realizes that’s the only way he can get her to get on the sub. Jin suggests they get moving. They wait a second because Miles sees Jim and Juliet heading toward the sub. Miles hands the binoculars to Hurley to witness as well.

Hurley tells him not to worry, everything’s gonna be OK, “Sawyer always has a plan, right?”
The cuffed couple is marched down the dock toward the sub.

Sawyer tells Juliet “We’ll buy Microsoft…and then we’ll bet the Cowboys in the 78 Superbowl. We’re gonna be rich.”   They’re amused.   He also says he’s sorry for not listening to her three years ago about her getting on the sub. Juliet is glad he talked her out of it. Red shirt Juliet heads into the sub first. Before Sawyer enters the sub he takes another look back at the Island and bids it “Good riddance.”
Down into the hatch he heads, but not without another last look.

Richard dives into the water.
Jack tells Sayid, “If I don’t see you on the other side, I won’t blame you.”
They shake hands.

Eloise tells Jack to “take a deep breath and follow Richard under. There’s an opening in the bottom of the rocks at the far side.”

Jack dives in.  He swims through the underwater tunnels and comes up the other side to Richard and ruins.  He tells Richard, “It was a lot further than I thought it was. Where are we?”
Richard replies {as if he can’t believe he’s say it} “The tunnels.”
Jack asks how they’re gonna get a bomb out of there.
Richard- “The same way we brought it in.”
Jack assumes he doesn’t mean through the pool.
Richard- “It’s a 12 foot long, 40,000 pound Hydrogen Bomb. No, not through the pool.”

Eloise emerges from the water and then Sayid. Jack is happy to see him.
Sayid feels if this works then Jack might just save them all and if it doesn’t, “At least you’ll put us out of our misery.”
Eloise- “ All right, let's get started.”

At night at the beach camp, John, Richard and Ben arrive. Sun looks at John awaiting an answer. John just nods yes at her. Richard will have a tent prepared for John and says they can get going first thing in the morning.
Eager John “Thought we could leave right now.”
This shocked Richard and Ben. Richard tells John “We can do whatever you want, but maybe the two of us should go to my tent and…” John cuts him off to ask if this is everyone.
Richard tells him there’s another group at the temple. John would like to talk to everyone here now. Richard, “Be my guest.”
John introduces himself to the group “I’ve been told that for some time you all have been accepting orders from a man named Jacob. And yet, oddly enough it seems that no one has actually seen him. Now, I’m sure there are very good reasons why his existence and whereabouts are a secret. I just don’t know what they are. And to be honest with all of you if there’s man telling us what to do, I want to know who he is.” Sun asks if this man Jacob can tell them how to bring Jin and the rest of their people back here.
John smiles, “Absolutely... Richard has agreed to show us where we need to go. So I’m gonna go and see Jacob…right now...And I’d like all of you to come with me.”
The camp is on board with this. Except for Richard and Ben who share a private moment where Richard admits he’s starting to think John Locke is going to be trouble.
Ben- “Why do you think I tried to kill him?”

The sub is still being loaded up. Mitch cuffs Juliet and tells them they’re shoving off in two minutes and he’d appreciate it if they didn’t cause them any trouble.
Jim- “Wouldn’t think of it, Nemo.”
Juliet asks Jim what they’re gonna do when they get to Ann Arbor. Jin says they’re not going to Ann Arbor, “These guys aint cops. They got no authority over us back in the real world. So once we dock wherever we dock, we’re free.”
Juliet- “Real world.
I don’t even know what that means anymore.”
Jim holds her hand and tells her “whatever happens, I got your back, remember?” They share I love you.
Phil {from topside} yells not to close the hatch because there’s another passenger about to board. “Horace wants her off the Island too. We’ll let Ann Arbor deal with them. I actually caught her coming back into town.”
Enter Kate. They cuff her with the others. {They sit Kate next to Juliet so the two women are in front of Sawyer. Juliet seems to know Kate will always be her competition, the thing that comes between her and James}

Juliet and James aren’t thrilled to see Kate.
In the subs control room we hear, ‘Clear the bridge. All personnel lay below on the double.’

Captain Bird-“We’re away. Engineering take your stations. Boat is clear for sea.”
Over the speakers- ‘All men to your stations. Prepare to dive.’ Engines start up, Red light glows.
Bird- “Stand by main vents.” V.O., , “Ship has been cleared for dive. Ship to dive. Test two and three.” Submerge! {It looked like a bunny for a second, didn’t it?}

Richard leads Eloise, Jack and Sayid through the tunnels.

Sayid whispers to Jack, “I’m sure it’s occurred to you this woman’s motivation in helping us detonate the hydrogen bomb is only to annihilate the Dharma Initiative.”

Jack knows but still trusts her. Sayid asks why. Jack, “Because 30 yeas from now she’s the one who’s gonna tell us how to get back to the Island.”
This makes him trust her. They arrive at the cavern that houses the bomb. Eloise removes the tarp, uncovering the Jughead.
Eloise-“Now what?”

Daylight:
There is an Exodus of Locke’s flock as they head out to find Jacob. John mentions to Ben it’s a beautiful day.
Ben- “Yes. So far.”
Ben goes on to confide that “Richard had some concerns…This pilgrimage to Jacob makes him uncomfortable...He’s expressed reservations about whether or not you know what the hell you are doing.”
John appreciates him bringing this to his attention. Ben knows they’ve had their differences in the past but Ben is there to follow him now. So if he needs Jacob to help John reunite his people then he’ll do whatever. John isn’t interested in being reunited with his people.
Ben asks why they are going to see Jacob.
John-“So I can kill him.”
This stops Ben in his tracks.

Follow the Leader is a GREAT EPISODE!  Was there only one leader here?  Richard is leading the way through the underwater tunnels and will lead John and the camp on their journey to Jacob.  It seems we see there are a few people in charge or in the lead.

Things to Note...Questions to ask...
* Eloise is pregnant.
* Miles finds closure to his daddy abandoning him issues. He sees the truth that dad’s actions were for love, although Miles is a contributor in these events.  If you can’t change the past, wouldn’t that mean Miles would have always been a contributor in these events?
* Hurley’s fear was being asked who the president is.  Sawyer tells him it’s not a ‘game show’ but maybe it’s a game nonetheless.
* The "Islands" "healing" power: It fixed young Ben but seems to have an aversion to fixing vision issues. If the “Island” doesn’t age Richard, why would his eyes age, requiring him to need reading glasses?

* Jack seems to be in a lot of emotional pain.  Hurt enough to want to erase everything. He should just friggin push the "DELETE" button!
* Microsoft. Add-ons. Log. Map. Plane.
* 2 John Locke’s.  2 Miles’.  Technically 2 Dan’s.  Richard in 2 time periods.
* Did you see the “Older woman” that looked like Older Juliet on the beach drying fish?
* The Jughead “leak” is in a different spot than we originally saw.
* The tunnels: how the Hostiles get around undetected.
* New logos.
* What and who is Richard advising?
* Wipe it clean. Start over. Erase. Tablua Rasa.
* Disappear. People disappear. The “Island” disappeared.
* Notice that a few of our Lostie's, including Miles, is getting more gray hair.
* As the sub with Sawyer and Juliet are submerging, Richard along with Jack, Sayid and Eloise are diving into the underwater tunnel. Down the fucking rabbit hole we all go.
* The “idea” to die didn’t come from Richard, it came from John himself.   This “Idea” would have to originate from somewhere.  Does/did John already know Ben will try to kill him on his trip to retrieve the people who left?  Unless of course, John is indeed talking to himself here.  Plus this scene reminded me of Back to the Future when Marty played the riff to Johnny B. Goode, and Marvin Berry called his cousin Chuck Berry to tell him about this new sound.
* The Looking Glass. They are underwater.  Ship.
* Eloise is willing to detonate this bomb. Does she not realize it would destroy the island and its people completely? Plus, this thing is supposedly leaking radiation and she’s right next to it! Ass!
* Jack is trying to change things.  Sayid thought he changed things but he didn’t.  Nothing has changed for Miles.  Desmond didn’t change things and thus far Dan hasn’t changed things.
* Real world as opposed to UN-REAL WORLD.
* Jack- “Because 30 years from now she’s the one who’s gonna tell us how to get back to the Island.” Isn’t the goal for “those future events” NOT to happen after the changes made after the bomb detonation? He speaks as if those events are still going to happen.
* Are events out of time order?
* We only get the Thirty Years Later cue once.

Vocabulary and Research...

 * Follow the Leader: A children’s game. First a leader or "head of the line" is chosen, and then the children all line up behind the leader. * Logos (Greek) is an important term in philosophy, analytical psychology, rhetoric and religion. In ordinary, non-technical Greek, logos had two overlapping meanings. One meaning referred to an instance of speaking: "sentence, saying, oration"; the other meaning was the antithesis of ergon ("action" or "work"), which was commonplace. It also means the inward intention underlying the speech act: "hypothesis, thought, grounds for belief or action." It derives from the verb lego "to count, tell, say, speak".

- Three minutes can refer to the original Doomsday Clock. (3 minutes to midnight)
- In the episode Three Minutes, the Michael centric that goes back and forth from "Today" to "13 Days Ago"; "11 Days Ago"; and "3 Days Ago"
* An out-of-body experience, (OBE) is an experience that typically involves a sensation of floating outside of one's body and, in some cases, perceiving one's physical body from a place outside one's body (autoscopy). AKA such as "astral projection” or "spirit walking". In some cases the phenomenon appears to occur spontaneously; in others it is associated with a physical or mental trauma, use of psychedelic drugs, dissociative drugs, or a dream-like state. Many techniques aiming to induce the experience deliberately have been developed, for example visualization while in a relaxed, meditative state. OBEs can be induced by direct brain stimulation. Some of those who experience OBEs claimed to have willed themselves out of their bodies, while others report having found themselves being pulled from their bodies (usually preceded by a feeling of paralysis.) Heautoscopy is a term used in psychiatry and neurology for the re duplicative hallucination of "seeing one's own body at a distance".   It can occur as a symptom in schizophrenia and epilepsy.

Self discovery.  Find yourself.    Here, John sees himself and gives himself instructions.  His next stop is Jacob.   Is there a part of John that is Jacob?  A part that he needs to see metaphorically put to death so he can move on?  Or does John need to end Jacob’s life the basis for something else, maybe to help someone else move forward perhaps.
Through out this episode I felt like I was in the middle of a video arcade game and comic book combo, especially when we went through the underwater tunnels.  That screamed Tomb Raider to me.   Other moments reminded me of other games and the Indiana Jones movies. Of course this element has been there since the very beginning, especially here with the "lead" and knowing that the "leader" does indeed change plus the quest taking them through underwater tunnels, caves, temples, stations and landmarks/places.

Maybe I’m the only one holding on to the metaphor of LOST, and have been since the beginning. I’m still seeing this aspect of the story and maybe this is why I cannot grab hold of the “time travel” element as I normally would since I’m a sci-fi fan.  I think things are more simple than that; there is an explanation for the "time" skipping {being more like a glitch.}
These people are lost and suffering.  Not just in their lives but also on this "Island" adventurous journey.  Their experiences are being lived out in their consciousness, maybe combined with a bit of technology. They really are trying to find themselves, who they are and where they belong. I’m sure they will eventually find themselves and only then will things be right in their universe and they can thrive in a “real world”.

The journey to enlightenment; streams of consciousness, learn from the past, fight your demons/temptations, close some doors, open new doors, make the right choices, let things go, dive in and make a change, find a new path.  If you don’t learn and grow, create a new path to a better you, find yourself and truly know who you are and then guess what?... You’re not going anywhere.
After all the “Dharma Initiative “translates to “The start of the eightfold path”.

Love to all who are “LOST” ™

Disclaimer: I never claim to know everything about the show and my thoughts by no means make me right. The things I share here are my views and/or opinions. I don't claim to catch every single detail either. You all know I hate spoilers, and I stand clear of reading certain sites as to not take me off my own course of research. The one thing I don't need to do here is rehash all of the obvious clues from an episode, we all know what they are. Understood? Good. Let the fun begin! I'll only note things that I know come up as clues later, but need to be noted when they first show up and things I find that will be of importance. It will get very exciting as we progress into the story.

March 24, 2009

One of Us.

Let's talk about LOST! One of Us.
Sayid, Juliet, Kate and Jack are on their trek; they cross and stop at the stream.
Sayid tells them it's getting late; it's a good place to make camp.  Sayid drinks from his canteen.   Jack and Kate gather firewood. {We get a lot time watching them break and gather the limbs.}
Kate asks him if he wants to talk about the week he spent over there with "Them".   Jack tells her he made a deal with them, if he took care of Ben, "they'd let me off the Island. I kept my head down, did what I was supposed to. And I didn't ask any questions."  That's it.
Juliet freshens up in the stream. Sayid approaches Juliet wanting to know "What you people are doing on this Island? Why are you people are terrorizing us? Making lists. Kidnapping children. I want to know everything. But the first thing I'd like to know is, who are you?"   {She obviously doesn't know!}
{Flash}
Dr. Juliet Burke pulls up to a secured facility. The song Downtown plays on the radio.   She's met by a guard; tells him she's with Mittelos Bioscience and shows her ID.  Her sister Rachel is with her.  The guard will let Mr. Alpert know she's here.   Rachel sees the security cameras and comments that they're taking the corporate secrecy thing a little too seriously.   Juliet feels she'll never fit with these people.
Ethan knocks on the car window 2x and asks Juliet to pop the trunk so he can get her bags. {Window going up and down! Open/Close!}
The gate opens and Richard greets them, "You managed to find us."
Juliet with purse and key says, "I didn't even know there was an airport out here."
Richard-"I know. It surprises everyone." {Car has Florida plate.} Richard introduces himself to Rachel and thanks her for letting them borrow her sister for a few months.
Rachel- "Just promise me you'll bring her back in one piece."
Richard-"Well, we'll do our best." {OMFG! Do your best?!} {Men wearing ties, except for Ethan.} Because of security they have to take Juliet in the rest of the way. She says goodbye to Rachel at the gate and gives her the keys. Worried Juliet asks her if this is a mistake, "What if you get sick again?"
Confident Rachel says, "I won't. Cancer's gone. And I'm a 100 percent preggers." Juliet promises to be back before she gives birth.
Rachel-"Don't worry about us. You spent your whole life working to get here. So don't blow it." They love each other. Rachel tells her sister, "Go make us proud."
They close the gate.

Sayid asks, "Who are you?"
Juliet-"If I told you who I was, if I told you everything that I know, you’d kill me."
Sayid-"What you'd think I'd do if you don't?"
Jack tells him to leave her alone, she'll answer his questions when she's ready, “And you'll wait until she is. She's under my protection."
Sayid is not pleased and Juliet is very pleased!

Charlie is on the beach with his laundry; he hears Aaron crying. Claire is sleeping and the crying isn't waking her. Charlie wakes her. She tells him she's feeling a little 'off.'; she didn't sleep well. Charlie offers to take the baby while she rests some more.
Claire-"I won't sleep long." {Oh Yes you will.}

Sayid is pissed as he's cutting a path through the jungle very quickly. Kate is behind him; Jack and Juliet lag behind.
Juliet asks Jack-"I guess it's no use asking them to wait up, huh?"
Jack tells her to give them time, "They'll come around."
Juliet-"My people kept Sayid chained to a swing set for three days, then I dragged Kate through the jungle, handcuffed myself to her, and lied about it. How much time do you think they need?" {SHE dragged Kate, then handcuffed her! She made it look like something it wasn't! And Jack didn't catch this?! Is he not listening? Or does he already know the truth?}
Jack tells her they'll be back at "our" beach in a couple of hours; they'll probably be over it by then. Jack asks her if she's nervous.
Juliet- "Hell Yeah" and smiles. {Nervous? For what? This isn't the friggin' prom!}
{Flash}
Herarat Aviation.
No one is in the airport except for Richard, Juliet, Ethan and the woman at the counter.
Richard tells Juliet "I know six months sounds like an eternity. You're gonna be amazed at how time flies once you're there."
She can't wait to find out where there is.
No tie Ethan will take Juliet's vitals. Richard lets her know that everyone at the company's excited to have her, as her "research will really have a major impact on us."
He prepares an ORANGE drink for her; he shakes up a packet of tranquilizer, mixes it into the juice. Richard tells Juliet she's gonna want to be asleep for the trip.
Ethan adds, "It can be kind of intense."
Juliet freaks a little. She signed all their papers and agreed to not talk to anyone in her life for six months and is fine with the fact that "no one in the medical field has ever heard of Mittelos Bioscience..."
Richard asks her why she was fine with all those things, "It was quite a leap for a job opportunity. I mean we're not paying you that much."
Richard goes on to say Juliet thinks she's fine with everything because deep down she knows the place they're taking her to is special.
Richard-"You took a woman, your own sister. Whose reproductive system was ravaged by chemotherapy, was sterile, and you made her pregnant. You created life, where life wasn't supposed to be."
He tells her that's a gift and that she's meant to do something significant with it. We're they're going, she can do just that! He can't tell her where they're going, but he can tell her is she'll see things there that she never imagined. No one is forcing her and if she's changed her mind, they could take her back…. With that Juliet downs the entire glass of Orange juice! Ethan tells her she shouldn't have drunk that so fast. She is out!
Juliet is waking up to a red glow. {Red light bulb.} She's strapped down to the bunk.
Ethan-"Good morning. No. no. It's okay. You'll be hoarse for a few hours, but it gets better as the day goes on." He apologizes for strapping her in, "The last leg is always a little bumpy." He tells her to watch her head as she climbs off the bunk: no shoes and she's groggy. She walks past two guys sitting at a small table drinking coffee. Ethan informs her "We're here", and points up.
Juliet climbs up and out. {Her POV- looks like a tube/well.} Ethan walks away. {WATCH OUT! Now she has on her SHOES! One minute no shoes, the next, shoes! EYES.} She stands on the sub and looks around. {That is a beautiful island, indeed! I want to go there so badly!} Benjamin Linus introduces himself to her; they shake hands. He's looking forward to working with her and tells her to watch her step. A guy closes the hatch. {This does not appear to be open water. It looks more lake-like. Why a sub?}

Charlie takes care of Aaron. {Papaya?} Hurley’s making soggy oatmeal.
Sawyer comes over, "Well if it ain't three men and a baby."
They look confused. Sawyer counted Hugo twice! {!!!} Claire's not doing well so she asks for aspirin as her head's pounding.
Sawyer-"I got you covered. Two aspirin, coming right up."
Sawyer, who is eating his bowl of cereal, sees Jack, "Son of a bitch." Then he sees Kate and he is relieved. {He loves her so much.}And then he sees Sayid. Everyone on the beach is hugging them, everyone's happy. Everyone is reunited.
Sawyer sees Juliet standing a few feet away and angrily asks, "What the hell is she doing here?"
Juliet sits alone on the beach looking out to the water. Hurley comes over for a few words. "So. You're like, one of them, huh?"
She says, "I'm Juliet."
Hurley-"I don't remember you from the dock. After you put bags on our heads. After you shocked us." {With darts?} Juliet remarks she had the day off. Hurley hears she's a doctor.
Juliet-"More of a researcher…They send you over here to keep an eye on me?"
Hurley informs her the last one of you guys that came over here, Ethan...He kidnapped Claire and Charlie got upset. We buried him over there." {Juliet's eyes.}
{Flash}
A "Flat line" sound is coming from the machine. Juliet is in the O.R. {Same room Claire was in with Ethan. Goodwin and Ethan are there. Baby incubator.} Ethan tells Juliet “She’s gone. She's dead." {They have Dharma medical station scrubs on.}
Goodwin comforts Juliet "It's okay. You tried." He tells her to go take off and he'll talk to Ben. Juliet leaves.
Juliet in red shirt is sitting on the rocky area looking out over the water. {Ben looking very similar to what he looked like in the scene with Sawyer looking over at the other island in Every man for himself; complete with his bunny bag of tricks.}
Ben says it was Sabine's choice to get pregnant and she knew she was taking a risk. Juliet thinks 'it' happens at conception, "If that's the case, there's nothing I can do about it. At least not here." The only way to see if she's right would be to take a woman off the island, back to Miami.
Ben-"No. You're not taking anybody off the island."
In that case there's nothing more Juliet can do. Her sister will give birth in three months, "it's time for me to go home." {Oh no! Ben has that look in his eye!} Ben tells her, her sister won't be giving birth in three months; she'll be dead before then because her cancer's back. Ben pulls out a file from his bag of tricks and shows Juliet Rachel's records. {Yes, we can see the electrocardiograph records show, male, 5' 11", 187 lbs, etc. Is he that skilled in the ways of the Jedi, that he can make people believe they're seeing something different on paper, than what's really there? That's fucking Yoda skill!}
Juliet sways on her feet a little. Ben got the file from Mikhail. Juliet is upset, "I could have gone home. I could have been with her!" He tells her she still can, "You can go home, Juliet. Be with her in her final days. Or you can stay here and help me with our problem." If she stays he says "I will cure your sister's cancer."
Juliet wonders, "I'm supposed to take that on faith?"
Ben explains she's been here six months, "You've done extensive workups on all of us. Have you seen even a trace of cancer?"
Juliet-"That's here! And being that you won't let me bring my sister here I'm going to..." Ben cuts her off telling her Jacob said he'd take care of it himself, "Unless of course, you don't have faith in him. Every woman on this island needs you. If you choose to stay, I promise you, we will save Rachel's life."
It is night on the beach/kitchen. Sun questions the motives of trusting Juliet. "She's one of them."
Jack-"Not anymore. They left her behind."
Jack doesn't know where her people went and Juliet doesn't know either.
Sawyer interjects, "Here's an idea. Let's sic our resident Iraqi on her, let him do what he does, then see what she says." {Sic, like a dog} Sayid says no, he doesn't do that anymore. Sawyer states, "Well ain't that convenient?" {That's what I always say!} Sayid doesn't trust her. If she's so innocent, why won't she answer their questions? Jack tells them to give her time, she's afraid. {Bullshit!}
Sayid-"How much time?" {Sound familiar?} Jack says the fact that he trusts her should be enough.
Sayid-"It's not."
Desmond- "Where did Locke go?"
Claire joins the group looking awful. Jacks tells them Locke went with them; right after he destroyed the sub that was gonna take him off this island. Hurley's surprised and shocked to hear that, "What?!"
Sawyer- "They were gonna let you go?"
Jack says yeah.
Sawyer-"Said who?"
Says Ben; whose life Jack saved.
Sawyer-"You should have let that bug eyed bastard die!"
Kate tells him Jack did it for "Us."
Sawyer says it sounds like he did it for him. Kate calls him James in front of everyone. {And NO ONE says anything about her calling him something other than what they know him as! OR do they all know his name is James?!}
Sawyer asks Jack, "Why he's fighting every single one of us and sticking up for one of them?" Jack shares he spent every moment over there trying to find a way off this island, he was trying to help "All of us."
All of a sudden Claire has blood coming from her nose/mouth; she faints! Jack tells Charlie to get her head back and get her up! He asks Charlie how long she's been like this. Charlie tells him since this morning.
Jack-"Before we got back, was she showing any symptoms at all?…Has she been drinking enough water?"
He instructs Charlie to keep her head up. Here comes Juliet! She stands next to Sun and Jin and asks "What happened to her?"
Jin says something in Korean and Juliet asks what he said.
Sun-"He said, what do you care?"  {D'OH! Did Jin understand her question?!}
Juliet runs up to Kate and tells her she needs her help; she needs her to get Jack.
Juliet-"I think I know what's wrong with Claire."
Kate-"Why?"
Juliet is getting emotional, "Because I did it to her."

Kate gets Jack and they talk to Juliet.
Sawyer and Sayid watch them from afar. Sawyer asks Sayid, “That giving you a bad feeling in your stomach?"
Sayid nods yes; Sawyer too.

Juliet informs Jack Claire's immune system is turning on her; she's have a laten reaction to a medication in her blood stream. The medication was designed to keep her alive during the late stages of her pregnancy.
Jack- "Designed by who?"
Designed by Juliet. She explains that for some reason women here can't have babies. The mother's body turns on the pregnancy, treats it as a foreign invader. She saw it happen over and over; every pregnant woman on this island died... Until Claire. {Kate and Sun look at each other} Jack asks what did she do to her. Juliet reveals that one of our people infiltrated your camp and they began taking blood samples right after your plane crashed. {They were able to take blood samples without anyone waking up! That's gotta prove something!} {Flashes of Ethan wearing a hooded sweatshirt, covering Claire's mouth, needle, injection, Shhhh!}
Kate-"Ethan." {Could Kate have seen any of that?}
Juliet goes on that "even though Claire didn't conceive on this island, her symptoms were consistent with previous mothers, so we tried to save her life. {That's an interesting statement.}
Jack-"By kidnapping her?"
Juliet-"No. That wasn't supposed to happen. She was our control case. I had developed a serum that, I thought would reverse what was happening to her. Ethan was administering the injections." {Flash of Hurley running through the jungle with the manifest. "The census. I interviewed everyone. One of them isn't in the manifest. He wasn't on the plane."}

Juliet reveals they realized the Lostie's found out he wasn't on the plane. {Does Juliet have the power of post hypnotic suggestion? Can she talk them into things, just like Ben can?} Juliet tells them, Ethan improvised. {Flash of Charlie and Claire in the jungle and Ethan greets them. Claire looks very sick! Injection bottles, needles, Ethan in OR/Treatment room with Claire, meds refrigerator, the funny shaped log that Claire sat on with Ethan, the Oceanic baby mobile.} Juliet says he kidnapped her on his own, that was never part of the plan. Without those injections Claire would have died. Without the serum, she's going into a form of withdrawal. {Their eye color!} And if she doesn't treat her quickly, her immune system could shut down entirely. She tells Jack, "I can fix this. I just need the serum. Ethan kept a stash of medical supplies near the caves where you used to live. {How would she know that!!! Oh yeah. She knows everything! Cameras.} If I go right now, I can be back before it's too late."
Jack tells her to do it.  {Note that we know CHarlie gave Claire and the baby the pneumatic injector and serum from the latest pallet drop.}
{Flash}
Naked Juliet is eating in bed; but she's in a daze. {There's opera on the radio.}
Goodwin- "Where are you?" He is hanging out with her in the bed. He asks "… Where were you?"
She tells him she "was just realizing that tomorrow she will have been on this island for three years." Goodwin had better bake a cake. {Celebration} There's a knock at the door. X-Rays are delivered to Juliet. {R circles/2 spheres inside} Juliet is troubled looking at them. Goodwin joins her. {Eyes} Juliet informs him, "Karl developed some X-rays for me."
Goodwin-"What’s wrong?"
Juliet walks across the yards of the barracks while people are going about their activities. She is holding a yellow/manila envelope in her right hand. She knocks on the door 2x. Ben, who was at his desk reading, answers the door. {Red cup, Bugs, Love the dragon thingy on top of the bookcase! Clock shows 12:35ish. He has on his Harry Potter glasses.}
Ben was just finishing 'Carrie'; he doesn't understand why she picked it, it's depressing. {The clock shows 9:30ish.}
Juliet comes right out and tells him he has a tumor. When he told her about his back pain, she said she would take some X-rays to see if it was a small fracture or herniated disc. But that's not his problem. {Does he not remember taking X-rays? hehehe} His problem is a large tumor surrounding your L-4 vertebra. Ben checks out the x-ray and seems surprised.
Ben-“You've just told me that I have cancer. Of course I'm surprised."
Juliet-"No. I told you had a tumor."
She accuses him of being scared. Juliet says Ben told her no one on this island ever had cancer, "You told me that! You told me you could fix it! You said that! You told me you cured my sister! You lied to me!"
Ben gets defensive "No. I did not lie to you"
Juliet-"If you can cure cancer Ben, then why do you have it?"
He doesn't know.
Juliet smacks the glass of water out of his hand and demands to talk to her sister. He tells her that's not gonna happen, but promises her Rachel is fine. Juliet yells, "You never cured her! You're a liar! You lied to me!"
Juliet literally has backed him up against the counter/wall. Ben insists he told her the truth. Juliet cries on his shoulder, she wants to go home. She begs him. He's says "No."
Juliet has a meltdown and cries.

Juliet, alone makes her way to a huge tree w/no leaves that has an egg shaped logo on it. {Not the hydra logo we know.}  She gets the black case from under the leaves across from the tree.
She opens the combination pad lock.
Sayid tells her to step away from the case! She was followed by Sawyer and Sayid. Juliet tells them the case is full of medical supplies and that Jack knows all about it.
Sawyer-"Jack ain't here right now. Is he?"
Sawyer opens the case, it does have needles, meds, etc.

Sayid-"You told me earlier that if you told me everything you knew, I'd kill you. I'm here to test the validity of that statement." The boys want her to talk.  They have cleared their schedules so they have all the time in the world.
Juliet goes into manipulation mode {Or is it hypnotic suggestion mode? Eyes.} "You know it's interesting. That you two are now the camp's moral police. I'm curious, Sayid. How long was it till you told everyone on that beach exactly how many people you've tortured in your life? Do they know about Basra? {He sways a little, sure looks hypnotized. He doesn't say anything.}
She turns to Sawyer, "I'm sure the first thing you did when you got here, James, was to gather everyone in a circle and tell them about the man you shot in cold blood the night before you got on the plane. So why don't we just skip the part where you two pretend to be righteous. I'm taking that medication back to Claire and you're gonna let me. Because if she doesn't get it. She's gonna die. And the last thing that either of you need right now is more blood on your hands." She takes the case from a 'blank' Sawyer. {The guys never say anything! Never ask her how she knows that shit! They don't flinch! Why didn't Sayid just kill her?}

The CD player opens and an unmarked/unlabled CD is put in. It plays the song 'Downtown.'   Juliet looks in the mirror. We remember this as the day Oceanic flight 815 arrived on the Island and there is a book club meeting, etc. Everything starts to shake. The book club members head outside. Once outside Juliet seems to be looking around. Ben comes out of his barrack home. We relive Ben giving Ethan and Goodwin 'direction' on what to do with the crash/survivors. {To me it seems like he's giving direction for a scene; scripted. Maybe because I've taken direction from directors and that's pretty much how it is.} After Ben's comment about being out of the book club, Juliet walks away from him. {Eyes} Ben calls her back, "You and I need to talk."
Juliet- "Now?"
Ben- "We have some time. It's important. Take a walk with me."
Ben radios Mikhail- "We're here. He never has his walkie on!" There's something he needs to show her.
Mikhail asks Ben, "Did you see it?"
Ben-"A plane fell out of the sky Mikhail, of course we saw it."
Mikhail shows Ben news footage on monitors telling about the disappearance of Oceanic flight 815. Mikhail speaks specifics. Ben wants detailed files on every single passenger. Mikhail's already working on it. Juliet is still holding/showing her Stephen King book.
Ben asks him to upload to Richard in Acadia Park.  Ben was hurt when Juliet called him a liar yesterday.  He puts on his directors headset and cues Richard. There is a newspaper with today's date, Wednesday, 9/22/04.
He says, "This is live."
We then see Rachel, appearing healthy playing with a little boy; she's pushing him on a swing. Juliet is cries. Ben tells her a little over two years ago, to everyone's surprise; Rachel's cancer went into complete remission. Shortly after she gave birth to a healthy baby boy; his name is Julian.
Ben says thanks to Richard, "You'll want to get back here as soon as you can. We may have some new visitors."
Juliet is very emotional; she wants to go home. Ben tells her their agreement was for her to stay until her work is finished. Juliet feels it's impossible "The mothers keep dying."
Ben-"Then we'll find more mothers. Who knows? Maybe there's even one on that plane?"
Jack is caring for Claire. Juliet comes to save the day with her case.  Charlie's upset with Jack trusting Juliet. Jack trusts her so he wants Charlie to trust him. Charlie says he trusts him. Juliet gives Claire the injection and tells them they should see results in a few hours.
Jack tells her "If this doesn't work, if something happens to her…I'm not gonna be able to protect you anymore. You'll be on your own"
She’s already on her own.

Charlie and Claire are sleeping; they wake up. Claire asks what happened. Charlie just smiles.
Juliet sits on the beach, alone. Jack brings her a tarp, blankets, pillows; it's enough stuff to get her started. He tells her Claire's awake. She smiles. Everyone says it's okay if she sets up camp.
Jack- "They're good people. They're willing to give you the benefit of the doubt." {I need to talk to them about that!} He also says eventually they're gonna need some answers. She asks him why she never has to explain herself to him.
Jack- "You were there; you were standing right next to me when that submarine exploded. In that moment I saw it in your eyes. You want to get off this island more than anything else in the world. That makes you one of us."
Juliet puts up her tarp. She ties the knot it just like we've seen Sun. {and Danielle do the same.}

We see Ben talking to Juliet, "Let's go over it again."   Juliet knows what to do but he wants to go over it again, just to be sure.
Juliet- "I drag Austen out into the jungle, handcuff myself to her. Then tell her I was gassed. Just like she was."
Ben- "And if she catches you in the lie?"
Juliet will admit to it, "Tell her it was the only way to earn her trust." Then they'll take Juliet back to the beach.
Juliet-"I know you want me to go there. But after everything that we've done to them, it's going to be a problem. Ben says they've activated the implant in Claire; she should be symptomatic within the next 48 hours. {We see Flash of Juliet tie her knot. Jin, Desmond on the beach.} By the time she gets to the camp she'll have a nice big crisis to solve.  Ben informs her Price is already on his way to hide her supplies at Ethan's old drop point, "Tell Jack that you can save her. He trusts you."
Juliet seems zoned out. Ben asks if she's alright. Juliet is fine. He then presents her with a gas mask and {Coffee cup} says "See you in a week." Juliet takes the mask.

Juliet ties her tarp at the beach camp.

One of Us is a Great Episode! We have much to talk about.  But keep in mind, your gonna wanna be asleep for the trip because it can be kind of intense! It's OK because the place they take us to is special.

Was the "Island" not supposed to have life on it?  Or are we talking about creating life "somewhere" else that isn't supposed to be able to make life?

Things to Note…Questions to ask…
* EYE COLOR CHANGES! All of them, even Ben.
* Anagram for TARP is TRAP!
* Anagram for Herarat Avaiation: A Variation Earth or A Variation Heart.
* I've asked this before…Who is Juliet?  Really. How old is she? How about Ethan? He must be around for a really long time. Maybe all the scientists/doctors/researchers of the "Island" have been around a really long time. That would include Arzt.
* The hidden away Airport, Herarat Aviation.   The customer "line" ques look like a descending Whale Tail.
* Guarding a gate. Security. Surveillance. Protection.
* "A little over two years ago Rachel's cancer went into complete remission. Shortly after she gave birth to a healthy baby boy."   Juliet tells Jack she's been there for over three years. It's supposed to be 9/22/04. We were led to believe Rachel got preggers before Juliet left Miami!
* Ben knows everything. Is it possible that Ben plans everything or just knows the plan for everything?
* Could Juliet be responsible for blowing anything up
* Are they all just 'case' studies? Control cases?
* Time flies when you're on the "Island".  Or does it really go slower?  I'm sure time doesn't even matter.
* Sleep. Tranquilizer. Clonazepam is a sedative. Depressing. Hypnosis. Implant.
* That submarine. Is that the "official" transport to the  "Island"?  Prop?  By the way, they supposedly left from an airport, so at what point did they transport unconscious Juliet to a sub?
* Tube…. Could that be a tube, as in "travel?" Or Tube Tracking? Is that how everyone is being tracked?
* Karl developed the x-rays. {Interesting}
* There seems to always be a beach reunion!
* Bug. Bug eyed. {Invertebrates? Is that reaching too far, even for me? hehehe}
* Design...Medication…Fertility…Conception…Baby...Create...Bring life.   What has been "designed" on the "Island" really?..
* Plane crash day 9/22/04. I can't help but keep in mind that there is Oceanic plane wreckage already inside the cave. Let's not forget that!
* Coffee. We need to add tea to that list! In the Himalayas, there is Hindu religion, culture. They grow tea. Say Namaste, etc..
* 3- PAST. PRESENT. FUTURE. Birth, Life, Death.
* How does Juliet know details about Sawyer and Sayid? Not only about their lives but details about the day/night before their arrival there? How would she know Sawyer killed someone? Is it because these events happened already? And/or they are scripted/written scenarios for the tests/quests/roles each person is to experience?   So that leads me to this question again…Are events in the Flashes or the "Island" real? Nope!   Drugged up, yes.. In addition could we be witnessing some sort of post hypnotic suggestion technique going on?  Are they using a song, prop, word, phrase or even a picture, something meant to trigger a manipulated memory/memory?   Hypnosis to go along with the hallucinations.  It could be. This is some friggin game!
* I think by now it's pretty obvious we see at least two versions of things. Shoes off, shoes on, etc. Different times on the clock in Ben's house. There's a lot more to add to the list of differences. WAIT! It doesn't end there!.....Ben's tumor is at his L-4 vertebra.  That's lumbar vertebra. Yet when Jack's in the hydra being held in the glass cell, he asks Ben about his neck. Those would be Cervical vertebra! C3-C6. Is there really a tumor at all? Spine, Spinal surgeon, vertebra…
* Walk, walkie, "walking" stick…Guess what? Human walking is accomplished with a strategy called the double pendulum. Walking is the main form of animal locomotion on land.
* A walking stick is a bug. Aaahhh! OH DAMN IT!
* Clues to Head- Could the reference to head be about "Head Hunters"?  What about an injury to the head?  Manipulating what's going on in the head?   Just plain ol messing with their head?   Things are taking place in their HEADS.
* "...let me off the island".  So it seems as if Jack and the gang are not allowed to leave freely; they have to be on the "island".

* What if we have a few "Islands" here?  Okay, maybe "Islands", maybe hidden facilities, or even off shore facilities/freighters.  Nonetheless, these would be the equivalent of layers or levels in the story/game.

A beautiful surreal "Island".  Tranquilizers, strapping people in Santa Rosa…If I didn't know that my research revealed some pretty important "Big Game" shit, this would all look like one big giant supervised drug trip or mass hallucination by a bunch of mental ward patients and convicts!  But no matter what, this is a very important journey.

For fun I imagine there's an old box somewhere, and in it are photographs and documents of the "Island" residents through the years…Maybe even through the centuries. Good times!

Disclaimer: I never claim to know everything about the show and my thoughts by no means make me right! The things I share here are my views and/or opinions. I don't claim to catch every single detail either! You all know I hate spoilers! And I stand clear of reading certain sites as to not take me off my own course of research. The one thing I don't need to do here is rehash all of the obvious clues from an episode, we all know what they are. Understood? Good! Let the fun begin!I'll only note things that I know come up as clues later, but need to be noted when they first show up and things I find that will be of importance! It will get very exciting as we progress into the story.

CABIN FEVER

Let's talk about LOST! Cabin Fever.
{click the pics}
A teen girl starts up her record player. {The song "Everyday" is playing.}
She dances around as she prepares for a date. {Mirror, make up, pearls, teddy bear}
This is Emily Locke.
Her mom asks her where's she's going.  Emily tells her she's going out with him and she can't stop her, "I'm in love."
Mom-"He's twice your age, Emily."
Emily asks if she's jealous.
It's a rainy night.
Emily {Red jacket} leaves her house with her mom trying to stop her but Emily keeps on walking away from the house because she "loves him".
Emily gets hit by a car.

Lights are passing by overhead.   As she is wheeled down the hallway in the hospital Emily is drifting in and out of consciousness. The Doctor forcibly opens her right eye.
The nurse asks Emily if she can hear her; Emily wakes up.
The nurse tells her "to try and stay awake now."
We hear "She's - her heart rates dropping fast..."
Emily and admits to the nurse she's five, almost six months pregnant.
Delivery room:
Emily is in labor.
We hear "Baby's crowning...dilated ready to go..." {Blood} A baby boy is born.
Emily has blurred vision and then she's unconscious.

Emily wakes up.
The nurse reveals news to Emily the baby, "He's okay for now. He's just real early."
The baby is put in the incubator but Emily wants to hold him.
The nurse is sorry but "He's just too little. We have to take him away now."
As they wheel him away Emily tells her to name him "JOHN. His name is John."

John and his torch is leading Hugo and Ben on their quest to find the cabin.
Hugo wonders "Who builds a cabin in the middle of the jungle anyway?"
Good question!
They are on their way to the cabin because "Hopefully the man who lives in the cabin can tells us what to do about the people who are trying to kill us."
Ben looks tired and Hugo remarks they've been walking all day, "Are we gonna get there soon?"
John asks Ben "How long?" but Ben doesn't know; he's been following him/Hugo.
John- "What? What do you mean you've been following him?"
Hugo is confused, "I'm not even in front!"
Ben says he doesn't know where the cabin is, "Hugo's the last one who saw it."
Ben asks John what he thinks they should do.
John wants to camp.
Hugo's concerned because it's dark and the monster and him/Ben.
The rest will do them good. Hugo wonders what's gonna happen when those freighter guys come back.
John doesn't know, "Yet."

Night:
The helicopter flies toward the freighter.
Desmond is sound asleep on the freighter. {Unlabeled cans.}
Sayid wakes him to tell him the copter is here, so they head up on deck.

Up on deck the copter lands; Dr. Ray needs to tend to one of the soldiers who is badly hurt. Keamy tells the Doctor that a black pillar of smoke threw him 50 feet in the air and ripped his guts out. Keamy demands Sayid tell him exactly how many people are on that island and where every single on of them is.
Sayid won't tell him. Gault steps in and asks Keamy what he's doing. Keamy holds a gun under Gaul'ts chin and says, "You gave me up."
Linus knew who he was, his name, knew everything about him.  Gault informs him he's not the one who gave him up.

Gault leads Keamy to the room they have Michael handcuffed.
Keamy bullies Michael, "Do you know who I am?"
Michael plays dumb.
It's revealed that Michael gave Ben the info on Keamy.
Right in front of Gault, Keamy fires his gun at Michael but nothing happens!!
Keamy checks his gun to see why this would happen.
Gault tells Martin "We need him. He's the only one who can fix the engines...Because he's the one who broke them."
Keamy knocks out Michael.
John's left eye opens to the sound of chopping wood.
Ben and Hurley are sleeping. {Light/white smoke rises from the campfire.}
John investigates and comes upon Horace Goodspeed chopping down trees.
John is not shocked to see him. {Dharma logo-Arrow.}
Horace chops and pushes down a tree.
Horace-"Hello there" to John and introduces himself. He tells John he's out there building a place, "A little getaway for me and the Mrs."
He goes on to explain to John that sometimes you need a break from the D.I., the Dharma Initiative. "I'm not making any sense, am I?"
Horace turns around; there's blood from his left nostril, "That's probably because I've been dead for 12 years."  The tree is standing again, and he pushes it over again, "Hello there."
The tree is standing yet again!
Horace–"You gotta find me, John. You gotta find me. And when you do, you'll find him." {No blood from nostril.}
John-"Who?"
Horace w/blood, says, "Jacob. He's been waiting for you a real long time, man."
Horace wipes the blood. The tree is there in its original position again and Horace introduces himself again, pushes over the tree and says, "Godspeed, John."
John's left eye opens; he wakes up.
Ben is sitting up watching him.  {Watching him sleep/dream.}
John hits Hugo tells him to wake up. Hugo is still sleeping but mutters "Mallowmars", obviously dreaming.
John-"Time to get up. We gotta get going."
John knows where they're going now.
Ben is looking a bit sad and tells the guys, "I used to have dreams."

Infant John is in the incubator.
The Nurse comes in to see Emily and Mrs. Locke. {Mom's hat has stars on it.}
The nurse says the baby is amazing, "He's the youngest preemie to ever survive in this hospital. {View from viewing window.} He's had infections, pneumonia, you name it and every time he knocked them out. He's a fighter, your little John. The other girls say he's a miracle baby…" {There are three cribs in the room! Two blue blankets One pink!}

Mrs. Locke's unimpressed.
Today they're taking him out of the incubator so Emily can hold him for the very first time.
Emily feels,"I can't do this. I'm sorry I can't!" and she runs out of the room crying.
Mrs. Locke is about to smoke and asks "Who do I talk to about adoption?"
She's told she can't smoke in there.

Mrs. Locke sees a man through the viewing glass; it's RICHARD ALPERT!
The nurse asks her, "Is that the father?"
Mrs. Locke claims she doesn't know who that is. {Bullshit!!}

Locke slashes his way through the jungle.
Hugo asks John "Why am I here, man?"
John- "You're here because you can see the cabin. And that makes you special."
Hugo's theory to why they are the only ones who can see it is, they're the craziest.
Hugo-"How did you figure out where it was, Dude?"
John didn't. They're not going to the cabin, they're making a pit stop first.
John asks if he ever wondered whatever happened to the Dharma Initiative. Ben just watches.
John-"There must have been at least 100 of them, living on this island. Manning the stations, building those homes, making all that ranch dressing that you like. And then one day, they're all gone, they just disappeared. You wanna know where we're going? We're going to see them."
John shows him the mass grave. {Bullet-like hole in skull?}
Hugo asks what happened to them.
John-"He did."  {Speaking of Ben.}
Young John is playing a colorful game of backgammon. {Red and white pieces.} Melissa calls the game stupid and knocks it over.
His foster mom is carrying a baby, she tells Melissa to bring her brother into the kitchen. Richard Alpert wants to see John.
Richard in his RED tie, comments that John has a good sense of the game; backgammon.
Richard claims to run a school for kids who are extremely special and he has reason to believe that he/John may be one of them. Richard will show John a couple of really neat things. He then notices drawing on the wall drawn by John {Stick figure, Nine fingers, laying by campfire/black smoke.}
He unpacks and lays out on the table, a baseball glove, Book of Laws, jar of sand, compass, Sci-Fi comic book, old knife.
Richard asks young John, "Which of these things belong to you?"
John-"To keep?"
Richard-"No. Which of these things belong to you, already?"
John takes the sand and compass. Richard is pleased.
Then John takes the knife.
Richard asks him if he's sure the knife belongs to him.
John is sure.
Richard's disappointed, so he grabs the knife out of John's hand and says, "Well it doesn't!"
Richard packs up and tells the foster mom "I'm afraid John isn't quite ready for our school." He just up and leaves.
The foster mom asks little John, "What did you do?" {Yeah, Kate, 'What did you do?' lol}
Quiet John just sits.

John digs through the Dharma bodies looking for something.   Ben sits on the edge of the grave. Hugo wants to know what John is doing down there.   Ben confirms this is where he shot Locke and left him for dead.
Ben-"I was standing right where you are now, when I pulled the trigger."
Hugo steps back.
Ben should have realized at the time that was pointless, "I wasn't really thinking clearly."
Hugo-"Is that why you killed all these people too?"
Ben is shocked- "I didn't kill them."   The Others did wipe out Dharma but it wasn't Ben's decision; it' was their leader's decision. Ben is "not always" the leader.
Locke comes upon Horace the mathematician's remains. In the left zipper pocket he finds Blueprints/map for the cabin. Ben is surprised.
John claims "The cabin. He was building it."
John tells Hugo he found what he was looking for.

On the freighter Keamy tells Gault he needs his key.
Lapidus interrupts to tell the Captain that Mayhew {Chewbacca!} just died.
The Doc couldn't do anything for him and the crew's asking questions about what happened over there.   Keamy is dealing with it, so he tells Frank to gas up the chopper "We're going back."
Frank-"Going back? What the hell for?"
Determined Keamy wants the chopper gassed up. Gault explains to Keamy while he was gone the crew came down with a sickness with strange behavior; maybe Keamy has it too. While Keamy appreciates his concern all he wants is the Captain's key. Gault won't give it up because it's not the protocol, so Keamy rips it off his neck!
Inside the Captain quarters Keamy removes a key from around his neck and opens a file drawer and unlocks a safe.
Gault-"The reason there are two keys is we're only supposed to open it together!"
Keamy removes a large RED envelope with SECONDARY PROTOCOL DHARMA MANUAL! It says where Linus is going. {IT KNOWS!}
Gault wonders, "How would Mr. Widmore know that?"
Apparently Widmore's a very smart man. If Linus knows they're gonna torch the Island there's only one place that he can go.
Gault-"What do you mean, torch the Island? That was not the agreement"
Gault agreed to ferry them there for an extraction mission.
Undeterred Keamy demands Gault fix his gun.

Daylight on the ship's deck, Desmond and Sayid watch the crew move a solider on a stretcher with/ IV from the helicopter. Dr. Ray is there.
Desmond observes and says, "That aint your man. That was no gunshot."
Sayid doesn't know what happened but when they go back they'll be certain it doesn't happen again.
Gault calls out for Omar.
Keamy wants Omar in the armory. Gault will watch Sayid and Desmond for him.
Omar's Sat-Phone receives the MORSE CODE signal. {black/white bracelet}
Gault directs Sayid and Des to a pantry below the galley; there's room enough for two men. He left them a supply of food and water.
Sayid asks if Michaels' dead and it's shared that he is not; but not for lack of trying. Gault tells them the two need to be hiding before Keamy comes up on deck.
Sayid feels hiding is pointless. He wants to use the zodiac raft to ferry the people from the beach, "The only way to save our lives is to get our people off that Island."
Gault tells them to meet him behind the container in 10 minutes, "The boat will be in the water."

Locke locates the cabin on the blueprint/map; up the coast.
Hugo gives them water.
Locke gives Hugo permission to go back; head north to the beach. After all he held him at gun point and forced him to come, because Locke was led to believe he needed him to find this place. It will be dark soon.
Hugo-"I get it. Now that you got your magic map, you don't need me anymore."
Locke is offering Hugo a chance to leave.
Hugo decides not to deal with the dark and the monster, etc., so he'll stick with them. Hugo with the knife leads the way.
Ben is impressed and tells Locke "He actually thinks staying was his idea. Not bad, John. Not bad at all."
John assures Ben, "I'm not you."
Ben-"You're certainly not."

Teen Locke is banging to get out of the locker he's been trapped in.
Cowin Heights High School. Knights.
The science teacher lets him out. The kids laugh at him. John has a bloody left nostril. A Geronimo Jackson (band) and Burton pic hang proudly inside the locker. Mr. Gellert wants him to go to the nurse's office.
Mr. Gellert has exciting news for John. There's a company in Portland that's doing new things in chemistry and technology. Mittleos Laboratories. Dr. Alpert's interested in finding young bright minds for theses new fields of science. They want John to go to their camp. Summer Science Camp. John feels his social downfall is because of science.

The teacher assumes they know about John by sending a rep to the science fair and seeing his Costa Mesa display.
John insists, "I'm not a scientist!" He likes boxing, fishing and cars. Sports. {Wow!}
Mr. Gellert opens up and shares with John, "You might not wanna be that guy in the lab surrounded by test tubes and beakers, but that's who you are, John. You can't be the prom king, you can't be the quarterback. You can't be a super hero."
John-"Don't tell me what I can't do.", and gives back the brochure.

Frank enters Michael's brig. He wants to know why cuffed Michael didn't tell him he was a survivor of 815. Michael feels he wouldn't believe him.
Lapidus-"I tell you that I'm one of the only people in the world that think that plane on the bottom of the ocean is a hoax. And you don't think I'd believe you?"
Michael didn't think he could trust him, as his boss put that plane there.
Lapidus laughs-"I thought I was Mr. Conspiracy but you got me beat there."
Michael tells him not to fly Keamy back to the Island because he's gonna kill all of them, "You don't want that on your conscience man, trust me."
Lapidus and Mike see Keamy getting something strapped onto his arm.
Frank's getting Michael down to the engine room.
Gault tells Sayid to stay on a bearing of exactly 305. Faraday says that's the only safe way to and from the island. Gault will say Sayid stole the zodiac if Keamy notices it's missing.
Desmond looks at the zodiac and decides he can't go with him. Desmond has been on an island for three years and swears he'll never set foot on it again. {Never say never, dude!} He'll wait for Penny to come. Sayid tells him he'll be back with the first group ASAP. Des tells him to stay on the bearing. Gault tells him to go, now! {OMFG! They barely made it in the helicopter, he's going to try it in this piece of crap?}

Night:
Locke with his torch says it should be about 200 yards this way.
Ben-"What if the cabin's moved? Again."
John assures him it hasn't moved, he was told this is where it would be.
Ben was told a lot of things to, but ended up with a spine tumor and his daughter's blood all over his hands.
John shows compassion for Ben.
Ben feels, "Those things had to happen to me. That was my destiny.  But you'll understand soon enough that there are consequences to being chosen.  Because destiny, John is a fickle bitch."
Hugo sees the cabin. {Why does Ben look amazed?}

John is in physical therapy learning to 'walk'. Abaddon brings John his wheelchair.   John hates that chair. Abaddon tells him not to give up; that anything's possible.
Locke is cynical, "You should read my file. My spine was crushed. There's a 98 percent chance I'll never get any feeling back in my legs. So I don't even know why I'm trying to drag my..."
Abaddon did read his file and proceeds to recount Locke's fall eight stories out of a building. It's a Miracle. He asks Locke if he believes in miracles. Locke does not. Abaddon says he should because he had one happen to him. {WHAT?!}
As Abaddon is pushing the wheelchair to the elevator and too close to the edge of the red steps, Locke fears he'll roll down the steps.
Abaddon pushes the button for the elevator and tells Locke, "You know what you need Mr. Locke? You need to go on a walkabout." It's a journey of self discovery. You go into the Australian Outback with nothing more than a knife and your wits. Hello! Locke's a cripple!
Abaddon asks, "Is that what you are, Mr. Locke?"
Abaddon went on his walkabout convinced he was one thing, he came back another. Found out what he was made of, who he was.
Locke refers to him being just an orderly.
Abaddon shares, "Oh, I'm a lot more than just an orderly, John." {YEP!}
Ding! Elevator ride!
Abaddon tells him when he's ready he'll listen to what he's saying, "And when you and me run into each other again, you'll owe me one."
Locke rides the elevator alone.

Night:
The freighter soldiers cowboy up.
Dr Ray is there; the chopper.
Sexy Desy watches from the stairwell. Omar tells the Doc about the weird Morse Code message from the beach, "Said that the Doctor washed up on the shore with his throat slit."
Dr. Ray-"But I'm a Doctor."
Omar-"Crazy, right?"
Frank asks Keamy what he's gonna do with all the 'weapons'. Keamy won't answer that; he just wants the chopper fired up.
Frank-"Mr. Keamy. I was hired to fly scientists."
Keamy wants the chopper fired up!
Lapidus says he aint taking him so Keamy threaten to kill him; but then there'd be no one to fly them back to the Island.  So Keamy slits the doctor's throat and throws him overboard in an effort to show he's serious.
Desmond witnesses all of this.
Keamy wonders, "Does that change anything, Frank?"   He threatens another life in 30 seconds.
Gault fires Keamy's fixed gun, {Desmond has front row seats to this show!} tells Martin to stand down.
Keamy hands the knife to Omar. {Omar has blood on his pants.}
Gault asks what's on Keamy's arm but Keamy just shoots Gault!
Filthy Frank will ready the chopper, "We're flying."
Frank wraps and hides a Sat-Phone in a pack/bag. Keamy takes the gun from Gault.
Night:
Jack eats dry cereal in the beach kitchen.
Juliet reprimands him saying he needs rest; she doesn't want him to tear his stitches, "Doctors make the worst patients."
They hear the chopper coming; then see it. Juliet and Kate are happy!
The beach troupe watch it fly over and see something is thrown from it. Jack runs for it; it lands near Aaron's crib. It's the Sat-phone, maps, schematics/book.
Jack-"I think they want us to follow um." {I wonder how fast/slow the chopper flight was.}

At the Cabin:
John will go in alone.
Ben won't go in, "The Island wanted me to get sick, it wanted you to get well.  My time is over. It's yours now." {Are there WHISPERS????}
Hugo's cool with him going in alone. John hands the torch to Hugo.
Ben wishes him luck.
John lights the lantern and enters.
There is a man sitting there.  John asks if he's Jacob.   The man says no, but he can speak on his behalf, "I'm Christian." {Wearing work boots.}
John sits with him at the table.
John-"You know why I'm here."
Christian-"Yeah. Sure. Do you?"
John-"I'm here because I was chosen to be."
Christian-"That's absolutely right."
There's Claire, smiling, just hanging out all relaxed! {Looking loopy!! Still has band aide} Claire tells John don't worry she's fine, "I'm with him."
Christian tells him the baby's where he's supposed to be, "And that's not here. It's probably best that you don't tell anyone that you saw her..."
John wants to ask questions but there's no time for that.
Christian tells him, "The people from the boat are already on their way back. And once they get here all of these questions won't matter one bit, so why don't you ask the one question that does matter."
John-"How do I save the Island?"
Outside Hugo shares half of an Apollo bar with Ben while they wait.
John comes out.
Ben asks, "Did he tell you what we're supposed to do?"
John reveals, "He wants us to move the island."

Cabin Fever is a GREAT episode!  Has John been spending his life being something he is not?  Fighting the REAL being he is.  Locke claimed all along to be a man of faith and here he is shown to be a man of science.  But from an early age it seemed he wanted to fight that; he picked the knife.   John tells his science teacher he likes boxing, fishing, sports, etc...yet we find he excels in science.   Then Abaddon tells him about miracles, giving him something to think about. John must be struggling with himself!
Can anyone be both?
I wonder if it's possible that Ben/Locke, etc., kill the freighter people and move the Island, and that's when Ben travels to see Widmore and confronts him about killing his daughter.

The "TIME ISSUE" is messed up way too much.  The Dr. washed up on shore BEFORE he died on the ship, YET the pay load from a few episodes ago, arrived 31 minutes AFTER it should have been in. So it's not consistent! The pay load was delayed but the doctors body was ahead!
Add to that, in John's dream we are shown that things being are being replayed by evidence of Horace and his chopped down tree reappearing and him going through the same motions. Except here it looks more like a "glitch".

- Computer security cracking (sometimes erroneously called "hacking")
- Computer viruses.
In video games: a glitch is a programming error which results in behavior not intended by the programmers. Glitches may include incorrectly displayed graphics, collision detection errors, game freezes/crashes, sound issues, and others. Some glitches are potentially dangerous to the game save data.
“Glitching” is the practice of a player exploiting faults in a video game's programming to achieve tasks normally impossible if the game's script runs as intended, such as running through walls or defying gravity. It is often used to gain an unfair advantage over other players in multiplayer video games.
In other words...a loophole or cheating.

A cabin is on a ship. Hatches, armory, kitchen/galley, operations room, berth and brig is too. Imagine the "Island" is one fucking giant ship. A space ship filled with scientists…Hehehehe!!!

John has a good sense of the game...hmmm.  Of course he does, but why would that be? Is he just a competitive player or is he one of the creators of the game or a "game master", perhaps.  Game, computers and technology hints are all over the place.

John has been struggling to find out who he really is and where he belongs.   Is this "Island" adventure the medium that showed him the way?
John seems to still have to complete another "test" or "Quest/Mission". Will we see who and what John Locke really is?
John claims to have found what he was looking for.  So I must ask...What happens next for John?  If people are removed or exit when they find what they're looking for is John ready to move on too?

Cabin fever is a condition experienced. How long have all these people been in this container?   And who does this cabin really belong to?

Love to all who are "LOST"™

Redhead Mrs. Locke's hat has stars, earring 3 pearls!

Geronimo Jackson! ROCK ON!
Looks kind of like these two Dudes could have been in this band.
What do you think? Who could the other two people be? Hmmm?

Disclaimer:I never claim to know everything about the show and my thoughts by no means make me right! Things I share here are my views and/or opinions. I don't claim to catch every single detail either. I hate spoilers! I stand clear of reading certain sites, as to not take me off my own research. The one thing I don't need to do here is rehash all of the obvious clues from an episode, we all know what they are. Good! I'll only note things that I know come up as clues in bold.
