Let's talk about LOST! Whatever Happened, Happened.

Phil is radioing Jin, who is still unconscious.
Through the static Phil asks, “Jin are you there? Can you hear me?"
Jin wakes up and responds to the call.
Phil asks where he’s been, “The Hostile escaped. We’re searching the East grid.”
Jin tells Phil the Hostile is headed north; he knows this because “he” attacked me.
Jin sees young Ben lying face down on the ground and turns him over; all the while Phil is still trying to get Jin’s attention via the radio. Ben has blood on the right side of his chest.
Ben weakly asks Jin, “Please. Help.”
Jin puts Ben in the Dharma van and drives off.

Horace- “Okay everybody. Listen up. We don’t know yet if another attack is coming. So everybody needs to be ready for your security assignments. Make sure you’re in contact with your team leaders. LaFleur’s got search parties out; but the Hostiles got a good jump on us.”
Hurley and Jack move a burned sofa.
Horace {with a flashlight} goes on to tell the people they’re pretty sure he used the fire as a diversion in order to escape.
Hurley whispers, asking Jack if he’s talking about Sayid.
Jack asks Horace, “If he was locked up, how can he start the fire?”
Horace- “Who are you?”
Jack- “Jack. Jack Shephard. I’m new.”
Horace tells Jack the way “he” started the fire is he had help. Somebody torched that van and that somebody let him out of his cell. And since the security cameras didn’t pick up any Hostiles crossing the perimeter “That means it was one of us.” {Security cameras didn't see Ben let Sayid out?} The crowd looks nervous. Horace tells Baxter he wants a full report on clean up, ASAP. {Clean up on aisle 2. lol}
Kate leans against a tree, looking distant.
Roger gets her attention. He knows she’s in the motor pool. {Seems like Kate forgot that for a second. Lol} He asks her to run the winch for him but she has no idea what he’s talking about.
Roger- “No worries. Just throw this lever. When I tell you to stop just (whistle) pull it up. Simple.”
Crank her up! The winch pulls the burned van from the burned house.
Roger chats with Kate, “So they just stuck you in the motor pool when you got here.”
Yep.
He remarks that the same thing happened to him, “I guess they couldn’t sucker anybody into gettin on that sub if they told us we were gonna be grease monkeys and janitors.”
Kate feels you gotta start somewhere. He asks her name and welcomes her aboard.
They shake hands, “I’m Roger. Roger Linus.”
Kate realizes who this is.
Jin pulls up with young Ben. Everyone starts to gather around. Jin carries Ben; rushing to get him help.
Roger is upset, “That’s my kid. That’s my kid!”    He runs, following Jin.
{Flash}
Kate drives down a residential street. Patsy Cline, “The only this different” plays on the radio. She pulls into the driveway of a cute home.
Kate {Red hair tie} takes the infant out of the backseat baby carrier, “Hi handsome. Did you have a good sleep?”
She sings, “Catch a falling star” to the baby as she slowly walks up to the front door.
Ding dong.
Cassidy opens the door. Kate says hello to her, but it looks like it takes Cassidy a second to realize who is in front of her. They hug and share a peck on the cheek.
Cassidy- “Oh my god, I saw you on the news. I told all my friends ‘I know that woman.”
Kate introduces Aaron.
Cassidy- “You survived a plane crash. It’s amazing. I never thought I’d see you again. What are you doing here?”
Kate- “Sawyer sent me.”
Cassidy fans a wad of cash in a white letter envelope, “Sawyer. So that Son of a bitch is still alive.”
Kate- “He was when I left.”
Cassidy states, he asked Kate to “come here” and give her an envelope full of money.
Kate- “He told me where to find you and to and…said to take care of Clementine. His daughter”
Cassidy, a bit sarcastic, says “Well she’s asleep in her crib right now. Want me to wake her up?”
Kate regretfully says she shouldn’t have bothered Cassidy when she could have just sent it. Cassidy asks why she told her all this, “Why’d you trust me?”
Kate feels Cassidy's daughter had a right to know her father cared.
Cassidy- “Why didn’t he come back with the rest of you?”   {The rest of you. Hmmm...}
Kate explains the helicopter they were on was running out of gas, so he jumped so they could make it to the boat.
Cassidy with bitterness in her voice, “What a coward.”
Kate knows that isn’t true, “He was trying to do the right thing.”
Cassidy feels he was trying to get away from Kate. Cassidy shares with Kate that she told him he had a daughter and he didn’t even lift a finger to call her, “So now I’m supposed to think he’s a hero because he told you to come here and help us? Hell, I bet this money isn’t even his, is it?”
Kate mentions to her “they” gave them a settlement after the crash “and I didn’t need it all...”
Cassidy doesn’t need her to explain, “You got the same look on your face I did when he ditched me...All I have for you is sympathy.”
Cassidy asks if Kate’s son is Sawyers.
Nope.
Kate- “I was pregnant before I met him.”
Kate gets fidgety and nervous while Cassidy watches Kate’s actions reveal there’s more to that story.
Cassidy- “That’s not your baby, is it? Kate, you just told me you and your friends cooked a whole story for the whole world about what happened on that island. So you tell me the truth about that. Why are you lying to me about him?”
Kate- “Because I have to.”



Kate walks away from the burned Dharmaville house. {Does this house look like it's in the middle of Dharmaville?}
Le Fleur {Monitor control} checks out surveillance.
Kate heads downstairs to the security station and asks LaFleur what happened.
LaFleur is pissed, “What the hell are you doing here?”
Kate- “That kid who was shot was Ben. Was it Sayid? Did he shoot him?”
He tells her she needs to keep her mouth shut and stop asking questions, “Cause putting any attention on your self is the last thing I need right now. So scram. I don’t want you around here.”
Kate just wants to know what’s going on. Horace hurries in to speak to LaFleur and is surprised to see her there. Jin, Phil and Miles are there with him.
LaFleur makes up a story as if he is new to “Kate” from the motor pool and was questioning her about seeing anything suspicious, but she didn’t. He tells her she can run along.

Horace asks LaFleur if he checked out the Hostile’s cell yet.
Nope; he’s been busy trying to keep the town from burning down. Horace suggests they do it.
At the cell they discover its door has been unlocked and the keys are still in it.
Horace- “He didn’t break out. Somebody let him out.”
These are janitor’s keys. They only have three janitors there, Roger, Willie and the new guy, Jack. {Watch LaFleur.}
LaFleur comments Jack as the guy he brought in from the sub. He recruits Miles to go with him to talk to Jack.

Daylight:
LaFleur instructs Miles to find Jack, Kate and Hurley quickly and put them in a house “and sit on em.” {Like chickens/eggs!}
LaFleur doesn’t want them talking to anybody else, “things are starting to spin out of control here.”
LaFleur heads over to the infirmary and is met by nervous Roger.
Roger asks him if he knows who did this to his son.
LaFleur-“Not yet, but we’re working on it.”
Roger doesn’t know how Ben is doing because Juliet told him to wait outside.
LaFleur- “Let me see if can get an update for ya.”
On his way in LaFleur asks Roger if he has his keys with him. Roger searches himself for the keys and realizes he doesn’t have them; “I must have left em at the house.”
LaFleur tells him it’s alright, “don’t worry 'bout it.” {Watch Roger here.}

Beeping Monitors.
Juliet and an assistant work on bleeding Ben. If she can’t stop the hemorrhaging they’re just gonna have to pack the whole tract.
Le Fleur enters covering his mouth with a surgical mask, “Where’s the Doctor?”
Juliet- “The Looking Glass Station til Friday.” {WTF?! WHO?!}
Juliet tells Jim Ben’s not doing well, “He’s still bleeding in there somewhere, I can’t fix it.”
LaFleur reassures her it’s alright.
Juliet tells him it’s not alright, someone needs to get in there and find the damage that bullet did and fix it. (She whispers) He needs a real surgeon.”
He storms out of there {on a mission}


At the house, Jack asks Miles if he’s telling them they’re under house arrest.
Miles- “No. You’re all free to leave whenever you want. But, I’ll shoot you in the leg.”
Jack- “And who’s idea was this?”
Miles- “Who do you think?”
Kate feels Sawyer’s just doing his job.
Hurley sits at the table looking over his left hand.
Miles asks Tubby what the hell he’s doing. Hurley is checking to see if he’s disappearing, “Back to the Future, man. We came back in time to the island and changed stuff. So if little Ben dies he’ll never grow up to be big Ben who’s the one who made us come back here in the first place. Which means we can’t be here and therefore, Dude, we don’t exist.
Miles- “You’re an idiot.”
Is he?!
Miles tells him it doesn’t work like that,“You can’t change anything. Your maniac Iraqi buddy shot Linus that is what always happened. It’s just we never experienced how it all turns out.”
Hurley- “This is really confusing.”
Miles tells him to get used to it, “But the good news is that Linus didn’t die. So that means the kid can’t either. He’ll be fine.”
Kate remarks it didn’t look like he was gonna be fine, “What if you’re wrong.”
Miles-“Well, if I’m wrong then I guess we all stop existing and none of it matters then anyway, does it?”

LaFleur barges in the house wanting Doc/Jack to go with him.
Nonchalant Doc asks him “Where?”
LaFleur tells him the kid is losing blood and they aint got none to put back in him. They need Jack to show them where the kid sprung a leak. Jack is not going with him. LaFleur is very concerned, “If you don’t come with me, Jack, that kid's gonna die.”
Kate looks at Jack as if to be asking, ‘Why aren’t you helping?’
Jack-“Then he dies.”

From the jalousie window, Kate watches LaFleur walk over and talk to Roger outside the infirmary. She is pissed off at Jack. {He’s making sandwiches.} Kate feels “he’s” just a boy. You can’t just let him die.”
Jack- “You heard Miles. We can’t change what’s already happened. This has nothing to do with me.”
{He’s right. This part has nothing to do with him. Unless all this has everything to do with Jack.}
Kate- “Unless you’re the one who’s supposed to save him.”

Jack calmly and quietly replays the event that will happen in 30 years, “That boy’s gonna be a man that locks me in a cage because he needs surgery, and your gonna come in and you’re gonna beg me to operate on him cause he’s threatening to murder Sawyer. I’ve already done this once...I’ve already saved Benjamin Linus, and I did it for you, Kate...I don’t need to do it again.”
Kate- “This is our fault. We brought Sayid back {They did? I thought Ilana brought him back. WTF?!} We caused this.”
Jack- “When we were here before I spent all of my time trying to fix things. But, did you ever think that maybe the Island just wants to fix things itself? That maybe I was just...gettin in the way.”
Kate shakes her head in disbelief. She reveals she doesn’t like the new Jack, she liked the old Jack who wouldn’t just sit around and wait for things to happen.
Jack-“You didn’t like the old me, Kate.”
Yep, Kate walks out.
Miles, who seemed to have been resting his eyes, yells out to her, “Where you going?!” But Kate slams the door behind her.

Little Ben gasps for breath/air as he sleeps in the infirmary. Julie tells the boy to relax, he’s okay. {Where was this kid shot??}
A nurse tells Juliet that one of the new people are here, she heard the Ben needed blood, “says she’s a universal donor.” {So is Jack.}
Juliet draws Kate’s blood. She calls Kate very brave.

Juliet mentions that James told her Jack wouldn’t help but he didn’t say why.
Kate- “If I understood why Jack does what he does I sure as hell wouldn’t be sittin here.”
Juliet asks her if something happened “off Island” with her and Jack. {Come on! “OFF ISLAND” You don’t find that to be a weird way to put it?!}
Kate reveals they were engaged, “Does that count?” {Watch Juliet’s face.}Roger bursts in wanting to know what’s going on with his kid.
Juliet explains “Kate’s giving us some fresh blood so we can transfuse Ben.”
Roger insists he’s not waiting outside, so Kate suggests he keep her company, “Make sure I don’t pass out.” 
Juliet approves.
Roger is upset feeling that Ben stole the keys, “Le Fleur asked me where my keys were. That bastard doesn’t ask any questions he doesn’t know the answers to. Which means my son stole my keys so he could bust that animal out of jail.”

Sad Roger feels the kid did that because of him. He asks Kate if she has kids.
Nope, she doesn't.
Roger thought he “was gonna be the greatest father ever. {You know?} I guess it didn’t work out that way.”
Kate asks if Ben’s mother is still around. He shares she’s dead, “She died the day he was born.”
Kate-“I’m sorry.”
Roger- “Yeah. Me too…I tried to do what I thought she’d want me to do. But...I guess a boy just needs his mother." {Watch Kate’s face}.

Little Ben starts gasping! Beeping/alarms!
Juliet yells Ben’s going into Hypoxic shock. She yells for someone to “get him/Roger out of here.” Ben needs more oxygen. {Juliet puts a muzzle type oxygen mask over the nostril type oxygen he was getting.}
A nurse shuffles Roger out, but Kate didn’t have to leave.

Hurley- “Let me get this straight...all this already happened.”
Pacing Miles tells him yes.
Hurley-“So this conversation we're having right now, we already had it.”
Excited Miles claps his hands in a manner of someone who's playing charades and his opponent got the answer correct/bingo!, “Yes!”
Hurley-“Then what am I gonna say next?”
Miles doesn't know.
Hurley declares, “Ha, then your theory is wrong!”
Miles is frustrated, “For the thousandth time, you Dingbat, the conversation already happened. But not for you and me. For you and me, it's happening right now.” {But, you just said yes to that question a second ago. lol}
Hurley-“Okay, answer me this...If all this already happened to me, then why don't I remember any of it?” {Note, Jack walks by unfazed by the time travel talk, but Miles does see Jack head down the hall}
Miles- “Because once Ben turned that wheel, time...isn't a straight line for us anymore. Our experiences in the past and the future occurred before these experiences right now.” {Go ahead Miles, try to convince yourself of that. Lol}
Hurley is confused, “Say that again.”
Miles takes his gun from the back pocket of his jumpsuit and tells Hurley to please shoot him.
Hurley-“Ah ha! I can't shoot you because if you die in 1977 then you'll never come back to the island on the freighter 30 years from now.”
Miles- “I can die! Because I've already come to the island on the freighter. Any of us can die. Because this is our present.”
Hurley- “But you said Ben couldn't die cause he still has to grow up and become the leader of the Others.”
Miles- “Because this is his past.” {Isn't it little Ben's present?”}
Hurley- “But when we first captured Ben and Sayid like- tortured em, then why wouldn't he remember getting shot by that same guy when he was a kid?”
Miles, looking as if Hurley did indeed enlighten him to something replies, “Huh...I hadn't thought of that.”
Hurley-“Huhs” him back,as if to say...see.


Roger paces outside the infirmary while Kate sits on the ground. She is in thought and troubled. Juliet comes out to tell Roger “He's stable.... He's got some fresh blood running through him, which is a good thing”
She needs Roger to go to the medical station for additional supplies. She gives him a piece of paper (list). {She's always sending people to the medical station for more supplies. What's that about?}
Kate listens.
Roger sincerely thanks Juliet, “I know that you're doing everything you can to save him...”
He leaves. Juliet reveals that Ben isn't any better but is stable, “But I can't, um, I can't fix it.”
Kate- “What about the sub? Can we take him somewhere?”
No, it's gone, it won't be back for a couple of months.
Kate wonders, “But he can't die, right?”
Juliet says matter of fact, “He is going to die. He is in a medical situation that is not resolvable.”
Kate rambles on about them not just sitting there and doing nothing. There's got to be someone who can help him, “We have an entire ca...”
Juliet just silently stares, waiting for Kate to say, “What?”
Juliet- “Maybe there's something “they” can do.”
Kate- “They”

Juliet-“The Others.”
Juliet and Kate, gurney Ben to the van. {He's wearing his converse!} Together they lift Ben into the van. 
Juliet-“Okay. Let's go.” She wants to go along but Kate tells her no, “If something goes wrong or we get caught it doesn't matter for me, but you got a whole life here. And besides, if Sawyer knew I got you involved this, he'd kill me.”
Juliet wants to know how Kate's gonna manage.
Kate gets into the driver's seat, “I'll manage. Don't worry.”
Juliet tells Kate Sawyer's gonna find out Ben's gone and she'll have to tell him what happened. As usual, Juliet will give Kate as much as a head start as she can. She wishes Kate, “Good luck.”

Flash to the pier {Yet again}.
Kate carries Aaron to the car as Ben is telling Sun about the 'someone here in Los Angeles who {Illusion-Canton Rainer} who can show them how to get back to the Island'.
Kate-“Is that's what this is about?” She turns to Jack, “You knew about this... and that is why you're pretending to care about Aaron, to convince me to go back.”
Jack yells, “I wasn't pretending anything.”
Kate- “This is insane, you guys are crazy...Jack, Don't!” She gets in the car.
In the car, Aaron from the backseat tells mommy he's thirsty, “I need some milk.”


In the supermarket, Kate and smiling Aaron hold hands walking down the aisle. {Price check on two over the speaker.}
Kate asks him if he wants chocolate milk or regular milk.
Aaron- “Juice box.” {There is juice right there.}
Kate- “You don't want milk anymore?”
Aaron- “Juice box.”
Kate asks the stock boy where's the juice boxes, {Tims-Long Beach.} tells her aisle five. {He only looks at Kate.}
Kate's cell rings. {Check stand 3} Jack is calling but she doesn't answer it. Aaron literally disappeared! Kate starts to panic. She asks the juice stock boy if he's seen her son. He looks at her as if she wasn't there with a kid! Kate hurries looking for Aaron down the aisles. {We get a view via a mirror. Love that!}
Kate tells the manager, “I've lost my son. He's 3, he's a little blond boy.”
The manager tells her not to worry, he'll make an announcement.
Kate- “No. You'll have to seal off the store...”
She sees Aaron walking hand in hand with a woman, who from the back, looks like Claire. She calls out to Aaron. The Claire look-a-like asks Aaron, “Is this your mommy?”   She found him in the fruit section, {Of course!} he looked lost and she was getting ready to make an announcement.
Kate hugs Aaron tight and thanks the woman.
Kate all teary eyed, comforts Aaron {or is she comforting herself?} “Mommy's got you.” {Kate looks up.}


Kate drives the van to the sonar fence. Ben is gasping and coughing. {Did he say 'mom' or 'um'?} “Tell my dad I'm sorry I stole his keys.”
Glasses wearing LaFleur pulls up behind her van. She knows he has to stop her but she can't just let that kid die. But he's not there to stop her, he removes his glasses {now he's Sawyer} “I'm here to help you.”

Aaron and Kate walk up to Cassidy's front door. {No soliciting sign.} Aaron rings the bell.
Clementine answers the door, “Hi, Auntie Kate.” {WTF?!}
Kate- “Hi, Clementine. Is your mommy home?”
Clementine will go get her.
Surprised Cassidy asks, "They're going back, to the island. Why in god's name would they wanna do that?”
Kate, crying doesn't know why, “Jack says that we weren't supposed to leave.” Cassidy mumbles, “Well, Jack sounds like a piece of work.”
Cassidy thinks Kate looks exhausted, “Drink this, curl up on my bed, take a nap. I'll watch your fella.” {Pours liquor in a coffee mug}
Kate- “I lost him.”
Kate shares the story of her and Aaron in the supermarket, that she turned around for one second and he was gone. She wipes tears from her eyes, “And you know the crazy thing is, is that, as scared as I was, I wasn't surprised. All I could think was, 'it's about time.' Why would I feel that way? I mean, why would I expect him to be taken?”
Kate takes a sip from her mug.
Cassidy enlightens her, “Because you took him, Kate.”
Kate justifies it, “No, I...Claire was gone. She left him. I had to take him, he needed me.”
Cassidy-“You needed him...Sawyer broke your heart. How else were you supposed to fix it?”

Sawyer enters a code on the keypad on the pylon. He asks Kate if she figured out how she was gonna carry him out there by herself.
Kate- “The line's just right over there, right? The Other's are on the other side.”
Sawyer- “They aint right on the other side. We better get movin.”
She wants to know why he's helping her.
Sawyer- “When I found out Ben was gone, Juliet told me what you were up to...I asked that exact damn question, 'Why you helpin Ben?' And she said, 'No matter what he's gonna grow up to be, it's wrong to let a kid die.”
So that's why he's doing this. He picks up Ben, “I'm doin it for her.”
They cross the sonar fence.

Juliet storms into the house and asks Miles and Hurley “Where's Jack?”
They boys are playing Dominoes; they think Jack is in the shower.
Hurley- “Is he in trouble?”
Juliet only says she needs to talk to him, “You two mind giving us some privacy.”
As Miles and Hurley leave the house Miles asks her, “Hey, ask him more questions about time travel.”
She slams the door; she apparently isn't bothered with “time travel”.


Jack is showering. {Yummm. Mirror} He steps out of the shower and Juliet has been standing there waiting for him.

Juliet tells dripping Jack, “I needed you...That kid was bleeding out, you're a surgeon, and I needed you.”
Jack- “That kid is Ben.”
Juliet- “It's not Ben yet. He's just a kid.” {Interesting!} Jack's reflection in the mirror. He says he's sorry, “I can't help you.”
She's not asking for his help; he made it pretty clear he's not interested, “It's up to Sawyer and Kate now.”
She informs him, “She's trying to save him. And I sent James after her to help because they actually care.”
Jack tells her he came back there “because I cared, because I was trying to save you.” {Trying to save Juliet?! Huh?}
Juliet- “We didn't need saving! We've been fine for three years. You came back here for you...Please do me the courtesy of telling me why.”
Jack- “I came back because I was supposed to.”
She wants to know, supposed to do what. Jack doesn't know yet.
Juliet- “Well you better figure it out.” And Juliet walks out. {Making room for me! Lol}

Sawyer carries Ben through the jungle. Kate offers to take him for a while. Kate tells Sawyer, “His father said that you think that Ben broke Sayid out.”
Sawyer- “A kid'll do almost anything if he's pissed off enough at his folks.”
Kate asks is that why he asked her to take care of his daughter. Out of breath puts sleeping Ben down carefully. Sawyer asks if she did. Of course she did. Kate gives Ben some water. Sawyer wants to know “What's she like?” {Clementine.}
Kate- “Oh. She's beautiful. Looks just like you when she smiles. She's growing up fast {Waaaaaalt fast? Lol} Already has a little attitude.”
He bets Kate and Cassidy had a lot to talk about.
Kate- “She had an interesting theory on why you jumped off the chopper.
Sawyer- “Yeah. What's that?”
Kate- “She thought you were worried about what would happen if you didn't.”
He looks up at her, “You and me would've never worked out, Kate. I wasn't anymore fit to be your boyfriend than I am to be that little girl's father.”
Kate compliments him on doing alright with Juliet.
He smiles, “Yeah. I've done a lot of growing up the past 3 years.”
“HANDS UP!”  A rifle is pointed at them. They are surrounded by armed, ugly earth tone clothes wearing Hostiles, uh, or Others.
The lead guy tells them not to move, “This is a violation of the truce. You're over the line.
Sawyer knows; he tells the dude, “This kid's been shot. That's both of our problems. So unless you wanna go to war, you're gonna take us to Richard Alpert, and you're gonna do it now.”

Kate knocks on a motel room door. {4x} Mrs. Littleton answers. “I'm Kate Austen.” 
Mrs. Littleton knows who she is and invites her in. Littleton tells Kate “Your friend Dr. Shephard came here last night. Going on and on about some person named Aaron. When I asked him who that was, he ran out of here like the room's on fire.”
Kate blurts out, “He's your grandson...And your daughter Claire is alive.”
Littleton looks baffled; Claire died in the plane crash.  Kate reveals Claire survived and was eight months pregnant and she's the one who gave birth on the Island, not her. “We lied. There were other survivors too we just left them behind.”
Upset Littleton asks why would she leave her there.
Teary eyed Kate, “Because she disappeared and she left the baby behind, we looked everywhere but...that's when I started taking care of Aaron.  And when we were rescued we didn't...We had to decided what to do with him. And I knew that she had wanted him to be adopted but I couldn't. I had to protect him. So I said he was mine.”
Littleton- “Why would you lie? Why didn't you come to me in the first place?”
Kate-“Because I needed him....I'm sorry.”
Kate shows her a picture of sweet, kind and good Aaron on a swing.
Littleton- “Where is he?”
Kate-“Um, I checked in two doors down. He's asleep. Kate knows this is a lot for her to handle, “But... when you're ready, he's waiting for you. I told him that you're his grandmother. That you'll take care of him while I'm gone, and that I'll be back soon.”
Littleton asks where she's going.
Kate- “I'm going back to find your daughter.”
Kate watches over sleeping Aaron; she's crying. Kate kisses his forehead and opens the door, cries, “Bye-Bye baby.”

Sawyer carries Ben while the Hostile Others march them to Richard. Sawyer tells Kate not to worry, “We got em right where we want em?”
The head dude tells Sawyer to shut up and keep moving.
“Hello there, James.” It's Richard greeting him.
Sawyer- “Where the hell'd you come from?”
Richard- “You asked my people to bring you to me, here I am.” {How'd he know that? MAGIC!}
Richard-“Is that Benjamin Linus?”
Sawyer- “You two know each other?”
Richard asks what happened to him.
Kate- “He was shot.”
Richard asks who might she be.
Sawyer- “She's with me.”
Richard asks Kate, “Why are you here?”
Kate- “Cause we need you to save his life. Can you?”
After a few seconds of contemplating Richard tells them if he takes him, “He's not ever gonna be the same again.”
What Richard means is “he'll forget this ever happened, and that his innocence will be gone. He will always be one of us.” 
Then Richard slyly asks, “You still want me to take him?”
Kate-“Yes.”
Richard takes sleeping Ben from James. The head dude feels Richard “shouldn't do this without asking Ellie, and if Charles finds out....”
Richard- “Let him find out. I don't answer to either of them.”
Kate asks where he's taking Ben.
Richard just heads into the jungle. Sawyer pulls on Kate to lead her away.

Richard arrives at the temple wall with it's overgrown vines. He leans back against a doorway and with the bright light shining on him he looks up and enters carrying Ben.

Ben sleeps while John Locke watches over him. They are in the makeshift infirmary on the Hydra Island. Ben slowly wakes up and seems surprised to see John sitting there.
John says, “Hello Ben. Welcome back to the land of the living.”
John is happy.




Whatever Happened, Happened is a GREAT EPISODE!! Here again we see that experiences seem blurred. What is real and what's not? We have the same "key words/dialog and action" happening “on Island” as is happening “off Island”.

Things to note…Questions to ask....
♟ In The Cost of Living, Ben wants Jack to want to save his life.
♟Cassidy part of the con/game or a guide?
♟ I guess Claire's mother recovered from her major head trauma/coma. Ha!
♟ Kate being a universal donor could have helped to save Boone.
♟ "We brought Sayid back.” Could this be the “him” Claire mentions to Kate in her vision?
♟ Sayid always shot Ben, just as Juliet was always the doctor that delivered Ethan. She was always the Doctor that took care of shot Ben. Then wouldn't that mean Kate and Sawyer always delivered young Ben to Richard. 
♟ WHERE IS THE DOCTOR? {Who? Jack?}
♟ Who’s the Dr. at the Looking Glass til Friday? Christian? 
♟ Who is watching via mirror/looking glass?
♟ It's OK for mechanic Juliet to be a Doctor now?

We saw a chapter into Kate's journey, or should I say, experience. It seemed a bit to me as if Aaron wasn't really with Kate in the supermarket. Could some of the “people” in their experiences not really be there?   Doesn't the possibility exist they aren't even real.   Richard just showing up to receive Ben was very magical.

Kate had some "guidance" from Cassidy to face the truth and to let go.   She's grown a bit.   Sawyer admits to growing up a bit too.  These people are lost and need to find themselves.  Again I must reiterate my “feeling” that certain (not all) events/experiences seem individualized and we are seeing "some" things from different perspectives.   Remember, everyone’s perspective is different. That means everyone’s perception of the truth is different.
Could any of what we've seen been bits of anyone else's perspective or was all of what we've seen just Kate's?
The moral here...”Whatever happened, happened.” You can't change it, so learn from it, let it go and move forward.
