The Hunting Party.

Let's talk about LOST! The Hunting Party.
(Click the pics!)

Christian and Jack are analyzing/diagnosing an MRI.
Christian is whispering his findings to Jack. {About where it’s rooting.}

Mr. Busoni says in Italian, "You don't need to talk in whispers" as Jack and Christian talk about his case.
He has a spinal tumor and knows he doesn’t have a chance.

Christian tells Mr. Busoni via Gabriella translating, that he is not a candidate for surgery. Christian, who is doing all the talking at this point, won't even try.   He feels Mr. Busoni isn’t looking for a surgical procedure; he’s looking for a miracle.
Mr. Busoni says he "didn't come all this way for you sir, I came for him", speaking of Jack.
Gabriella, his daughter, had consulted many medical journals before going there to see Jack.  She knows he is the one who fixed a woman with a crushed spinal column and now she walks; a miracle. That was a very different case, under very different circumstances.
Gabriella asks Jack to try.
Jack looks over the MRI very intensely. And then as if he found a way through the maze he turns to Gabriella to say although he agrees with Christian’s assessment of the risks he will try. Jack will have to admit her father in the next couple of weeks and run some tests. Then we get another beautiful close up of the MRI. {Jack's determination and excitement in his eyes when looking at the MRI, He's done this kind/type of surgery before…Ben.} The family is happy, Christian, not so much.
{Flash Whoosh}
At the hatch a noise jolts Jack awake. He was on the bottom bunk. Jack calls out for Locke who isn’t in the computer room. Jack finds John knocked out in the armory. Michael has a gun, he's going after Waaaaaalt and no one is going to stop him. “That is my right. That is a fathers right!

Michael demands Jack stay in there with unconscious Locke and  he  {looks back a few times} threatens to "shoot your damn computer".
He is getting worked up and he tells Jack, "That thing is not what you think it is anyway. You don't understand, man. You don't have any idea!"  {Oh really! What is it?!}
Jack offers to do this together.
Michael says no and that he has to do it now, “I have to do it alone."
Michael closes the door on them. {Note Jack wearing the key around his neck.}

Locke wakes up in the armory. Jack does a quick exam of Locke's eyes/head, asking if Locke feels sick or nauseated. {When Jack tests Locke "eyes" Locke doesn't follow his finger.} Jack informs him Michael knocked him out.   Locke says he’s OK.
Jack looks for a way out and asks Locke for a boost up; but they can't get out from the overhead air vent.
Locke-"It's no use. I bolted it shut from the inside…No point changing the combination if you can get in through the air vent.”
Jack-(sarcastically) "That's really good thinking John." {Locke gives him a weird look like, do you really think it was a good idea? Or was he not even looking at Jack but at something else?}

Locke let Michael in because he wanted a gun for shooting practice. Locke is concerned about the button. Jack claims Locke was knocked out for about 20 minutes. {Did Jack time it while he was still sleeping?}
Locke and John are on shift for the next four hours; there’s nobody going down there. {On shift together!}
Jack-"Better hope Sawyer shows up to get his band aid changed.”

Sawyer is sleeping in his airplane seat on the beach. Kate tosses a banana on him to wake him up.
Kate-“Morning.”
She jokes she couldn’t find any rocks to throw at him. Sawyer tells Freckles there’s a nicer way to wake a man up. Kate lets him know it’s time to get his bandages changed. She can’t do it because she isn’t Sawyer’s nurse and Jack’s got the bandages. {Well, whose nurse is she?} Kate gives him a hand up and they share a moment of closeness.

Kate and Sawyer enter the hatch.
Sawyer- “This place still creeps me out." {Libby said a similar line about Nathan.}
Kate -"You'll get used to it." {You'll get used to it!?!}
They realize no one is there. The locked in duo call out for them. The beeping starts on the countdown clock for the computer.
The guys behind the door yell, “In here! In the armory!” and “Michael locked us in here!” yet when Sawyer asks what he said Kate says “I got it” as if someone mentioned the button, and automatically heads in to reset the computer.
Sawyer hopes Doc has the combo. Locke is the one who calls out the combination "Right two times to 25- Left two times to 29- Right once to 40. "
Kate resets the timer.
Sawyer opens the door, “Howdy, boys.”
Jack has a gun; they’re going after him. {Sing the following words to the Monty Python tune of Spam! Guns, Guns, Guns, Guns. Lol!}
Locke reluctantly takes the handgun from Jack. Sawyer is troubled by Michael going after Walt so he grabs a gun and is going with them.
Jack’s concerned because Sawyer’s still on antibiotics. Sawyer feels it’s a good thing he’s traveling with his doctor then.
{Flash Whoosh}
Mr. Busoni is sleeping in his hospital bed. Jack is looking in on him; checking the monitors and chart. Gabriella comes in with her coffee.
She lets Jack know her home is a hotel room, “I like it more here.”
Jack thinks she needs to find a better hotel. Gabriella wants to know how her father’s doing. Jack informs Gabriella that “His counts aren’t where I’d like them to be. "
Thorough Jack has been running tests on him for a month. Beautiful Gabriella confesses that she doesn't believe in miracles. Jack isn't too sure of them either. Gabriella bets his wife feels differently. She knows that the woman he fixed was his wife; she’s thorough too. “She must be a very special person to let you work until 4:30 in the morning.”
Jack looks at his watch,I completely lost track.
Before he rushes off Gabriella thanks him.

Jack enters his bedroom; removes his tie. Sarah isn’t sleeping.
Jack- "Sorry to wake you." {The Big Ben clock shows 5:15} Jack gives her an update about his patient. “About the same.”
He kind of apologizes for…{For what?}
Sarah feels, "That's the price of being a miracle worker."
Sarah gets up because she's going to the gym and then she has to grade some papers. She also tells him she was late so she "got a pregnancy test, not to worry it's negative."
Jack asks if she wants to talk about it but apparently there's nothing to talk about. Jack lies down. {They are distant from each other at this point.}
{Flash Whoosh}
In the jungle Locke is looking at a boot print track that may belong to Michael. Kate points out another one a little farther away. Locke thinks that sounds like a trail. Kate wonders if Jack has a gun for her. Jack {Key around neck} tells her she’s not going; she’s stay behind to take care of the button. Kate doesn’t want to stay behind; after all, she can track and carry a gun.
Jack forcefully tells her, “You’re not coming! You’re staying. Alright?”
Sawyer quietly notes the exchange with them.

On their trek to find Michael, Sawyer asks Jack What did she do?”
Apparently she didn’t do anything.
Sawyer sarcastically feels Jack yelling at her “really makes a lot of sense.”
Jack-“Why don’t you go back and see if I hurt her feelings.”
Sawyer’s just sayin'…
Jack- "Yeah. I know… you love her."
Sawyer - "What’d you say?" surprised at that comment.
Locke asks Sawyer if any of this looks familiar from when he was coming back and also asks him “When you were coming across the island, what side was the ocean on?”
Sawyer, who remarks "How can I forget this place", determines a direction and points to it.

Locke-“You came from the East. Michael’s headed North.” {In season 3, Locke is given direction to head North too}
Evidently Michael is not going back to where he came from; he's heading somewhere else.

At the beach aggravated Kate is having a chat with Hurley about the Walt situation.
Sun wants Jin to wear a hat because the sun’s very strong today. He feels he doesn’t need one. He’s been paying attention to the chat between Kate and Hurley. Sun puts the hat on him anyway.
Jin tells Sun in Korean, “I think something’s wrong.”
Hurley walks over, compliments Jin on his cool hat and informs Sun and Jin that Michael took off, stole some guns and he “went all commando. Said he was going after Walt.”
This concerns Jin. Hurley has delivered the info and heads off for the hatch.

Jin is packing up his backpack, if he hurries he can catch up with them.
Sun doesn't want Jin to go and help find Michael and Walt. She shares her feelings about how worried she was about him when he was on the raft. She didn’t know if he was dead or alive, “I was out of my head.” She won’t go through that again. Jin is concerned for his friend, Michael.
Sun-“I am your wife.” {Wife trumps friend!}  Jin puts his backpack down.

In the jungle Sawyer asks the Doc if they can slow down and take a break a minute; yet Locke is the one in the lead. Jack asks Locke if he thinks Michael's heading north and does he think he’s lost. Locke says that Michael's trail is as straight as the interstate, "The path of a man who knows where he's going."
Locke- "Where are you going, Jack?"
Jack- "What?"
Locke- "Let’s say we catch up with him, Michael, what are you going to do?"
Jack- "I'm going to bring him back"
Locke- "What if he doesn't come back?"
Jack- "I'll talk him into coming back"
Locke explains that this is the second time he's gone after Walt; he suggests that Jack let him go.
Jack asks -"You think we should just let him go, write him off?"
Locke-"Who are we, to tell anyone what they can or can't do?" {Locke is open to Michael's free will here; Jack wants him back. Why does Jack feel the need to bring him back? Or not let him go?}
{Flash Whoosh}
Jack has paperwork for Gabriella to sign. Jack explains to her that it's not too late to go back; the tumor’s aggressive, “but your father can lead a normal life for at least another year.”
Gabrielle- "Go back? Go back where? Home? Have you changed your mind Jack?”
Jack has not changed his mind. Gabrielle signs the paper. She tells Jack that even if you don't succeed, you’re giving us a chance.   She leaves as Christian walks in to tell Jack ITR reports need to be signed by Jack, as chief resident.    Jack senses Christian has something on his mind.
Christian-"Careful. There's a line, son. You know it's there. And pretending it's not...that would be a mistake."
Jack- "I guess you would know."   {Yes Jack, Christian has crossed many lines}
Christian feels that may be okay for some people, but not for Jack.
{Flash Whoosh}
In the jungle Locke, Sawyer and Jack actually have to climb up a vine rope to get to the top of a huge hill. Sawyer asks Locke if he's sure Mike went this way.
Locke-"Why do you ask?"
Sawyer tells Mr. Clean that he'd probably would have gone around Mount Vesuvius.
At the top Locke nonchalantly asks Sawyer, "Why'd you pick that name?"
Sawyer-"Ain’t it obvious? All you need's an earring and a mop!"
Locke- "NO. Your name. Why did you pick Sawyer?'
Sawyer- "What do you man ‘pick’?"
Locke- "After the census, Hurley gave me the flight manifest... your name is James, right? James Ford."
Sawyer-"What's it to you?"
Locke-"Just an interesting name to choose, is all. Who'd you get it from?"
Sawyer-"Who says I got it from anybody?"

Seven shots ring out and Jack calls out for Michael and takes off running. Locke calls out after him.
{Important! That whole conversation between Sawyer and Locke takes place right in front of Jack, and not even once does he interject into that conversation with surprise that Sawyer's name isn't Sawyer or anything! It's almost like he is absent.}

The three men go running through the jungle until Locke happens to see a tree has a "score" mark on it.
Jack feels "He's close."

Jack confirms with Sawyer that "These people are two day across the Island."
Sawyer-"Yeah, and they took Cindy less than a mile from our camp."
Locke points out three shell casings. {One for each of you!}
Blood hound Locke sniffs the casing and declares its Michael's.
Sawyer wonders if the boys are deaf, "I heard at least seven shots. {asks Locke}You heard it, Daniel Boone, what's your count?"
Locke-"Yeah, seven sounds about right."
It's getting dark and Sawyer wants to know which way Mike went. Locke checks out the ground and trail.
Jack asks Sawyer if he's out there for Michael or...is this payback for gettin shot."
Sawyer-"Why are you out here, Doc? You got your reasons and I got mine."
{Flash Whoosh}
Frustrated Jack bangs on the lockers! Christian tries to calm him down with reason, "He was a sick old man on a table for seven and half hours. His heart gave out. It's nobody's fault."

Jack has to go tell "her" but Christian already did. "Lest you forget, I am still chief of Surgery."
Jack is annoyed and wonders where she is.

Christian-"Maybe you should go home."
Pissed Jack-"Where is she?"
Christian-"She's gone. Jack, go home."

Gabriella catches up with Jack as he's about to get in his car to leave for the night. Jack seems relived to see her. Gabriella thanks him for "trying".
She cries, Jack hugs her and them she kisses him. {Kate kisses Jack; he isn't much of a kiss initiator! LOL} Jack backs off!
{Flash Whoosh}
It's night for the three men out in the jungle. Jack lights a few torches.
Sawyer asks Locke, "What do you mean you lost it?"
Locke-"He's a man, not a boar. The sign's more subtle. I need light to follow ."
So Jack presents him with light!
Locke does seem to have a different attitude and suggests they head back as he's lost the trail. Jack feels you don't just lose a trail; Locke just doesn't want to find him.
Locke-"Yeah, that's right, Jack. I've been running in the jungle toward the sound of gunfire because I don't care about Michael."   He starts to walk away.
Jack-"Don't turn around on me, John."
Locke-"You're not going to get him to come back and you know it."
Jack-"You know what happens if we just turn around and go back? We're never going to see him again. And that's going to be on us... on you... and on me." {Why would that be?}
A voice replies; a man standing in the dark, just a shadow-"You're exactly right, Jack. But if I were you, I'd listen to Mr. Locke."
This is Mr. Friendly.
Armed Jack asks-"Who are you?"
Sawyer knows him as the son of a bitch who shot him on the raft. The three caballeros point their gun at the man in the shadow and he wants them to point the gun down. A shot is fired and it grazes Sawyer's ear.
Mr. Friendly-"It'd probably be best if we just keep our hands at our sides, gentlemen."
Jack asks where Michael is.
Mr Friendly-"Don't worry about Michael. He's not going to find us."
Jack-"What do you want?"
Mr. Friendly suggests John build them a fire because it's time they all had a talk. {Hmmm. He's knows John.}

Down in the hatch Hurley and Charlie are going through some record albums. They come across an album by Geronimo Jackson. Shocking as it may be, Charlie, who considers himself an expert on all things musical, never heard of them.
Hurley gives him different to play, "Let's give her a rip."
Charlie puts the needle on the record.
Hurley wonders what the story is with that Libby chick. Hurley finds her kinda cute in a "I've been terrorized by the Others for 40 days" kind of way. He thinks he has a chance with her as it's the classic desert island scenario, "If I ever had a shot, this is it."
Charlie is really only thinking about Claire and wonders, "You think Claire's missed me yet?"
Hurley remarks that it's only been a day.

Sayid walks in on the boys and listens for a second and says, "This music is quite depressing."

Hurley-"We can change it, dude! Have you ever heard of Geronimo Jackson?"
Sayid has not, he wonders where Jack and Locke are. The boys inform Sayid that everyone's gone after Michael who ran after Waaaaaaalt.
Sayid-"Who's everyone?"

In the dark jungle the Lostie's hang out by the fire with Mr. Friendly. {The following is very important so bear with me.}
Mr. Friendly-"Just sit down, Jack. Nobody's going to hurt you. I come in peace."
Locke-"How do you know our names?"
Friendly smirks. {So now we know that these people know who they are.}
Jack-"You took Walt."
Mr. Friendly-"Walt's fine. He's a very special boy."
Jack-"Look, you said you wanted to talk...Talk."
Mr. Friendly-"Let me ask you something. How long you been here on the island?"
Jack-"50 days."
Mr Friendly-"Oh, 50 days. That's what, almost two whole months, huh? Tell me, you go over a man's house for the first time, do you take off your shoes? Do you put your feet up on his coffee table? Do you walk in the kitchen, eat food that doesn't belong to you? {He looks at Locke.} Open the door to rooms you got no business opening? You know, somebody a whole lot smarter than anybody here once said, 'Since the dawn of our species man's been blessed with curiosity.' You know the other one about curiosity don't you, Jack? This is not your island. This is our island. And the only reason you're living on it is because we let you live on it.
Jack smiles-"I don't believe you.
Mr Friendly-"You don't believe what?"
Jack-"I think you've got one guy up there with a gun. I think there's more of us than there are of you. I think if you had any real strength, you wouldn't have had to send a spy. Ethan." {Exactly! Jack doesn't realize who Ethan really was.}
Mr Friendly-"That's an interesting theory. Light 'em up!"
Torches are lit all around them.
Mr Friendly-"We've got a misunderstanding, Jack, your people, my people. So listen carefully. Right here, there's a line. You cross that line, we go from misunderstanding to something else. Now, give me your weapons, turn around, go home.
Jack-"No."
Locke-"Jack, maybe..."
Jack-"No!"
Mr Friendly-"I hoped it wouldn't come to this. {yells} Bring her out, Alex!"
Kate is brought out, hands tied, a bag over her head and mouth gagged. {black gag}
Mr Friendly-"She was following you. Like I said... curiosity."
He pulls the bag off her head. Jack is pissed and Sawyer makes and aggressive move toward Mr. Friendly but he in turn puts s gun against Kate's neck/throat.
Mr Friendly-"Don't! Jack, the decision you gotta make right now is this...can you live with the fact that I shot this woman right in front of you when you could have saved her life by giving up and going home? Or are you going to give me your guns, turn around and walk away. It's your call, Jack."
Sawyer-"You touch a hair on her head, I'll..."
Mr Friendly-"Shut up! I'm going to count to 3. 1, 2..."
Jack-"Stop." and throws his weapons down. Mr. Friendly wants all of their weapons.
Sawyer warns Mr. Friendly, "You and me ain't done, Zeke."
Mr. Friendly gathers up the guns and shoves Kate at Sawyer and he holds her. The torches go out at the same time and Mr. Friendly backs away into the dark jungle.
Locke curiously looks around.

Sawyer unties Kate.
Kate tries to explain her being there to Jack but he doesn't want to hear it.

Jin sits alone watching, looking at the ocean. Sun comes over to talk. Jin mentions he couldn't sleep.
Sun-"Are they back?"
Jin-"Not yet."
He shares with "Honey" that he doesn't like being told what to do. Sun in turn shares with him that was her life for four years and she didn't like it either.
Jin-"Right." {Touche!}
He knows she didn't like it. He moves in closer to her as it seems they are "getting closer".

Locke, Sawyer, Jack and Kate make their way back to camp. Kate tries to explain to Jack that he told her not to go she just...{What? Doesn't like being told what to do?!}...made a mistake. Jack doesn't respond to her; she just wants him to talk to her for a second.
Kate-"I'm sorry."
Jack-"Yeah. I'm sorry too." and he walks away from her.
{Flash Whoosh}
Jack comes home to Sarah cleaning up dishes off the table. Sarah asked him how it went and Jack informs her, "He died."
Sarah-"I'm sorry."
Jack-"Yeah, me too."
Sarah's mom was over playing a bridge game; apparently is on a streak. Jack shares he didn't eat because it's late and walks over to help Sarah do the dirty dishes. Sarah feels he doesn't have to do that.
Jack-"It's therapeutic...cheaper than a shrink."
Sarah inquires how the daughter took it, "What's her name, Gabriella?"
Sarah is distant.
Jack-"She kissed me. Yeah, she...she kissed me and I kissed her back. {He starts tearing up. Who is he talking about here, Gabriella or Kate?} I, I don't know. I don't know how it happened. I made a mistake. I made a mistake and this is my fault. It's my fault that you and me... I haven't been here. {Jack wasn't there…Emotionally or Physically? Both? Hmmm?!} Sarah, I mean, we don't even talk anymore. I hate what's happening to us and I promise you that things are going to be different. I'm going to, I'm going to work less. I'm going to be here for you. Okay? I'm going to fix this. We're going to go back to the way things were. I'm going to fix this. I'm going to fix this.
Jack hugs Sarah but doesn't hug him back.
Crying Sarah is leaving him and Jack is shocked.
Sarah-"I was already leaving you. That's why my mother was here. She was helping me pack. I've been seeing someone... someone else. I have to... I can't stay."
Jack tries to talk.
Sarah-"You, you will always need something to fix. Goodbye."
Hurt
Jack is left alone and crying.
{Flash Whoosh}
The "Michael Mission Team" arrives back at camp and although Kate tries to reach out to Jack he's not interested. {He's hurt}
Locke tells James he'll see him later.
Sawyer sees that Kate feels rejected by Jack and tells her, "Don't beat yourself up, Freckles. If he'd told me to stay behind, I'd have done the same damn thing."

Charlie sees Locke walk over to Claire and the baby; this bothers Charlie. {Why does he have such a problem with Locke and those two?}
Locke says to Aaron in a playful manor, " What's the matter? What's the matter with your little foot? Hi. Hi."
Claire-{to Aaron}-"Who's that?" The baby fusses
Locke-"Uh oh...you don't like old Uncle Johnny.

Vincent is bothering Ana Lucia who tries to get rid of the dog because she only has enough fruit/food for herself. {Dog has no collar} Jack comments about her finding a new friend.
Ana-"Progress. I hear you were out looking for Michael."
Jack confirms.
Ana-"He ran off looking for his kid again? {Jack nods} Not much you can do about that then."
Jack-"Is it true that you killed one of them?"
Ana-"One of who?"
Jack-"Them. Sayid tells me that you're a cop."
Ana-"I was a cop."
Jack-"Can I ask you something?"
An-"Shoot."    {Brilliant choice of words.lol}
Jack-"How long do you think it would take to train an army?" {Who's going all commando now?}

The Hunting Party is a GREAT episode!
There is so much to take in with this episode.
First we have to deal with the MRI date. We have heard rumor that it was a possible production error and I could live with that if the rest of the clues from following episodes didn't show me that time line fits into situations that include the MRI date. You will see upcoming clues I present tell us that there is "life" for Jack off/after "that Island" or at least another go around of all experience/events on "Island" and off "Island" or "Flashes".

What does this all mean? It means that I may need a friggin straight jacket at some point, that's what it means!   Do we ignore a time line that can work?  Do we believe everything else we see except for that MRI date?   Are we to figure out how all the puzzle pieces fit into this story but omit the MRI date? That everything else can work except for that one clue that actually gives us a date?!

Now, if I'm not correct and I just over thought things and made a clue fit in where it wasn't supposed to go, or I fell victim to the writers trickery, then I am wrong and I'll admit that. If I am correct, what could it mean? It could mean that we see more "flashes"- forward/backwards, out of order and other "go-arounds" than the writers and producers want us to realize.

Things to note...Questions to ask...
✈ Choices. Decisions.
✈ Time. Timer. Countdown. Dates.
✈ They are telling us to look at the MRI not once, but twice. The date on the MRI is 11/16/05. Prop error? I call fucking shenanigans! "Flash" of "life" after/off "that Island", different level, or another go-around?
✈ Locke was knocked out for about 20 minutes. OK let’s break it down: Jack heard the noise and it woke him up, he has dialogue with Michael, and that took how long? Jack didn't try to wake up Locke right away? Why did 20 minutes pass? Jack let him stay knocked out for that long? Did Jack feel Locke needed a nap?
✈ What does Michael know about the computer? What is it that he understands that Jack or Locke doesn't understand about "that thing"?
✈ Jack uses the word Shrink, as does Ana Lucia.
✈ Depressing. Hurt. Mental state.
✈ Remember. Forget. Amnesia.
✈ Eyes. Eye color.
✈ Tests. Exam. Grade.
✈ Game. {Bridge game} Bet. Chance. Beat. Score.
✈ Military. Army. Commando.
✈ Two sides.
✈ Computer. Button. Monitors. Rip. Record.
✈ Reset.Reboot.
✈ Sleep. Unconscious. Wake up
✈ Head. Hat. Headed. Head injury.
✈ Manifest.
✈ A straight line = The path of a man who knows where he’s going.
✈ Languages. Communication. Translate.
✈ Story. Written out. Scripted. Scenario.
✈ In Whatever the Case May Be, Sayid asks Shannon "Could you at least try?"
✈ MRI. Image. Negative.
✈ Gone doesn't mean "dead".
✈ What is real and what is not?
✈ Are the hints to "root" and "spine" steering us to "Chakras"?
✈ I feel like I want to say that Jack's "Flashes" concern "one" of the "Lostie's" actual health condition.
✈ These Others know everything the Castaway's have done, where they go, do, eat, etc.
✈ Apparently Jin and Sun aren't the only ones who don't like being told what to do- neither does Kate.
✈ This episode is an example of when I feel Jack and John are two halves of a whole and/or when one of them speaks to each other they're speaking to themselves. I know it sounds weird but it's a vibe I get. There are also times I feel like all the Lostie's are reflected aspects of only one person.
✈ Being told to go "Home". Where/what is "Home"?

Before I continue…I have paid very close attention to things in this story almost to a fault. I am guilty of over analyzing things, I do admit to that. But there are clues and situations that are so obvious that they stand out front and center.
The following time line is directly from one of my older notes. I always keep clues of time issues, time/events out of order, time on the "Island" etc., in the back of my mind.
I felt this episode is a look at "life" either after this "Island's" events or simply another go-around in the game. Besides that I more often than not feel like "Island" events and "Flashes" are blurred together. Call me crazy!

***TIME LINE***
This works only if I'm correct with the dates. We still don't know anything about "time" on the "Island" being different or anything like that. There is a possibility that "time" does run different on this “Island” and that would change things yet again. We do know Ben references the proper amount of days the Lostie’s have been on that “Island” in one of the episodes.

Okay, here we go...PLANE CRASH 9/22/04. The call to the boat appears to have been made about four months or so after the crash. The newspaper Jack has in the finale is dated 4/5/07. If they do go “home” after the call Jack makes to the freighter that would get them there early 2005. That would give Jack approximately two years to "fall apart". That would also include the Hunting Party episode and the desperate Jack we see in A Tale of Two Cities. OK, I know you want to say, but Karen, Christian is alive and he's still married to Sarah. I'll just say...yes.

Even though I'm noting "time" here I must ask with time issues running ramped through the layers of the story... is "time" even really relevant?

Next issue: Locke knows Sawyer’s name is really James Ford. When he mentions how he knows this Locke says he got the info off the manifest from Hurley. It’s amazing to me that out of all the people that supposedly were on that plane, including some that died, he knows which name belongs to Sawyer! WOW!
Locke knows Hurley's name is really Hugo; he calls him that all the time.  Why now, after we're going to talk about real names, does he not refer to Hurley as Hugo when talking to Sawyer? Does he not want Sawyer to know Hurley's real name or want Sawyer to know that he knows it? How come Jack doesn't care either way? How much does Jack know about the "Island"?

Why are they on that "Island"? Surely it’s not a coincidence.

Then we have the hunt: Who is hunting who? Is Michael hunting Walt and only Walt? Is Jack hunting Michael and only Michael? Who the hell is Kate hunting? Are they hunting for or survival or strictly for sport?
But I must ask who the hunters are and who is the prey?

What is this episode really about? It's about looking for something…for someone...and to go home.

Disclaimer: I never claim to know everything about the show and my thoughts by no means make me right. The things I share here are my views and/or opinions. I don't claim to catch every single detail either. You all know I hate spoilers and I stand clear of reading certain sites as to not take me of f my own course of research. The one thing I don't need to do here is rehash all of the obvious clues from an episode, we all know what they are. Understood? Good. Let the fun begin! I'll only note things that I know come up as clues later, but need to be noted when they first show up and things I find that will be of importance. It will get very exciting as we progress into the story.
